Captivated by Shy Angel: A Billionaire and Virgin Romance

I tightened my arms around the solid form beside me but frowned once I felt how soft and squishy the form was. I knew Katie couldn’t be this soft. I slowly opened my eyes to see my arms around a pillow instead. My head turned in search for the person whom I fell in love with only to find out I was once again alone.
I sat up hoping she was in the kitchen only to see a clean empty kitchen. I walked into the kitchen not caring if I’m in the nude. I then noticed that the food was fully cooked. She left?
A sadness crept into my heart. Did she regret it?
Cody’s words suddenly rang through my head.
Taste of your own medicine.
I refused to believe that Katie played me. All through the night her eyes were filled with love and adoration. Something that’s totally different from the rest of the girls I’ve ever been with. Katie was passionate and humble during our love making it made my love towards her only grow.
Anger was coursing through my veins but something deep down inside I know that Katie hurt me. I ate the food that she cooked and couldn’t help but moan in delight. It was absolutely delicious. It almost tasted heavenly like her. But as I opened fridge to grab a bottle of water I noticed a huge glass of purple shake there. She must’ve made a new shake for me.
I snatched it out of my fridge and greedily gulped it down, tasting the delicious sweet. After finishing it, I suddenly felt energized. Not only was Katie amazing and beautiful but most importantly, she was wife material.
I won’t allow her to slip through my hands.
She’s mine!
I got ready to go to work but instead of directly going to my office I went to the marketing department. You’d think that being the boss and frequently visiting the department because of a certain beauty would make your employees used to it but once again, as I entered some were shock and trembling in fear while others stared waiting for the next topic of their gossip.
I saw Katie underneath her desk. Her ass once again facing me. It looked as if she dropped a few things. “Katie,” I called out which caught her off guard once again but as she jumped she hit her head on the desk. She rubbed her head as she crawled out.
To say I was shock of her appearance was an understatement. She wore a pencil skirt and a formal blouse but they looked disheveled like they weren’t ironed correctly as she lazily picked out her clothes for today.
She didn’t wear makeup like she usually does. Her hair was pulled into a messy bun unlike her neat ones and this time, one chopstick was missing from her head but I easily located it on the ground. Dark circles surrounded her eyes looking as if she didn’t have any sleep at all.
She looked exhausted.
But even in exhaustion she looked absolutely breath taking.
“Hunter,” she mumbled looking unamused unlike before when she would show me her Bambi like eyes and stare at me with surprise and adoration. This time it’s as if she was broken from the inside.
Did I do something wrong?
“You left?”
“Wasn’t I supposed to?”
Her voice void from any emotion. And her question, what does that even mean?
“Why?” I demanded my eyes narrowing at her. “Please don’t make me explain myself here,” she pleaded. But I don’t care if we had an audience I needed to know her answer. Was there somebody else?
“I need to know now,” I sternly said. She bit her lower lip in frustration as her eyes stared up at the ceiling and she whispered to herself “Why?”
She then looked at me with an angry expression and asked “Do you really want an explanation?” her voice laced with a raging anger. “I’ll give you an answer!” as she marched right up to me.
“It’s because I love you,” the breath was knocked out of me as I stumbled back. “I fucking love you, Hunter. And I know your reputation of hump them and dump them but last night was entirely amazing, and I loved every single second of it. But I knew I was no one special to you so instead of having an awkward morning of who leaves first or sharing a cup of coffee. I decided to spare me a heartbreak because I didn’t want you to say the words that related to get out or this won’t work out. From the beginning, I knew it won’t work out but hell, I’m greedy. I wanted you even if it lasted for just a night.”
It amazed me that she didn’t shed any tears. She was just fuming with anger and it made her sexier than before. I noticed that everyone in the room was watching us like we were a soap-opera or something but my full concentration was on the seething brunette standing before me.
Tears pricked my eyes as I fell to my knees. All this time I thought she hated me or betrayed me when in fact she felt the same way as I did. I started laughing as tears ran down my face. The look on Katie’s face told me she was worried. I then wrapped my arms around her waist as I leaned my head on her stomach.
People around us gasps and I could even hear the clicking sound of somebody taking pictures of us. But it didn’t matter because the person I love feels the same way. “Katie… I’ll tell you how the morning would’ve played out if you’d stayed… I would’ve woken you up to kisses and probably let you cook breakfast because we both know I can’t cook for shit. Probably, steal a few kisses during eating our breakfast. We then could’ve taken a bath together and I would’ve massaged all the sore places on your body. Then take you out for lunch where I’ll confess that I love you…”
Before I could finish she interrupted me by saying “You’re lying,”
I then gazed up at her and said “Katie, you’re amazing. Passionate, funny, and beautiful and not to mention sexy as hell. Gosh, you do things to me that no other woman can. You make these amazing shakes and food that I simply can’t get enough of. And when I look into your eyes,” I stood up and cupped her face as I looked into her beautiful blue eyes. “I think to myself that these are the eyes I want to wake up to every morning for the rest of my life,”
“Woo! You go man!” I hear Cody cheering in the background. I didn’t notice more people from different departments arrived just to witness this. The most feared CEO bearing his soul to an innocent Bambi like girl.
Katie gave me a genuine smile as she leaned into my touch.
“I love you Katie Simmons,” I told her, and her smile only widen as she replied “I love you too Hunter,” I leaned my face towards her to capture her beautiful lips with mine. Our love sealed with a kiss.
I heard people clapping their hands making Katie pull back and blush. I could never get tired of her blushing. I just hope she never gets tired of blushing for me.
Cody was among one of the people clapping their hands and I can even see his mouth mouthing whipped. But I didn’t care because I was madly in love with Katie and she felt the same. She actually felt the same even if she expected nothing in return.
She’s truly amazing and I don’t deserve her. Heck, no one deserves her. But just like her, I’m greedy. And I want her all to myself.
I don’t care if my employees saw their strong feared CEO all sappy for a girl because Katie is my kryptonite and I’d do anything just to keep that smile on her face.
