I continued reading the file about the sword. My father had gathered quite a lot of information about it specifically. It seemed that Barnhill had made several attempts to purchase the sword and failed, and also tried several lawsuits claiming he could prove the sword belonged to one of his ancestors and that he should have it by right. He eventually purchased the sword at auction for an obscene amount of money, beating out the female mystery bidder by $400K.

Who would pay that kind of money for a sword?

It had to be a pretty serious sword for that kind of money. The magic so highly sought after, people would pay in extremes and steal to get it.

What kind of magical sword would be that interesting?

  Do you believe yet, dummy?

  No. No way.

That took way too long, Camille.

Could I be looking at Excalibur?

Bing! Bing! Bing! Give the woman a prize!

Welcome to your new normal, Camille.

  acknowledgments

Thank you RM Gilmore for your support, friendship, and being the best damn designer on the whole planet.

Thank you Tara Dawn for your editing magic, your kindness, and your friendship.

Without the two of you, this book would not have come together. I would be quite lost without the both of you. Thank you for your awesomeness, and showing me what true friendship is all about. I am beyond lucky to call both of you my friends.

Thank you to my husband Michael for believing in me even when I don’t believe in myself. I love you.

This story took longer to come together than the previous book, but I think the end product turned out pretty cool.

I hope you all enjoy it.
