The Precious Ruby (The Precious Trilogy Book 1)

Tonight I have decided I am going to look fucking hot, that I don’t care who stares at me tonight. I’m just Matt’s little whore, or so he keeps telling me.

I blow-dry my hair into loose waves. It’s gotten longer since the last time I was standing here. I’ve filled out all the right curves with snacking at my desk during work hours and little to no exercise.

Tonight I have chosen a simple red mini dress. I have always liked the color red. It matches my pale sometimes tanned skin and the ruby has always been a favorite gemstone of mine, its perfect.

The heels I’ve chosen are a simple black pair with a strap around the ankle and spikes on the back near the heel. Yeah, I want to look badass since the last time I went to the club the women wore leather and had spiked clothes and collars on. Whatever they were into didn’t seem pretty.

I was just about to put my dress on when I hear a knock on the door.

“Lou, are you almost done? I want to start heading over there and meet with the boys before the function kicks off. Can you hurry?” Matt talks behind the door, he knows by now to not disturb me while I’m getting ready.

“Yeah but can you come in here and zip up my dress.” I have decided that I want to be all nice and loving towards him and to catch him off guard when I take the fucker out, and if I have to save my own ass, then that’s what I’m going to do. Either tonight or tomorrow I am going to end Matt’s life. I just hope the boys aren’t around when I do it.

I look over my shoulder and see Matt in a black suit, his pants are the perfect fit but the bulge at the front is kind of noticeable. His white dress shirt hugs his huge arms but the sleeves are rolled up to his elbows, revealing the eagle tattoo. I never actually liked it. It looks something like an army tattoo they get when they have served.

“Wow Lou, you look amazing. I am sorry about before, I didn’t mean to make you upset; just the past couple of months have been rough. I’ve had the Feds come knocking on my door more than once, then you disappear, and I’ve had a few hookers show up dead that worked at the club. This function tonight is to show everyone who is our family, friends and enemies that they can’t touch us, and if they dare to, they better watch their backs.” He steps behind me to zip the dress up and his hands linger on my shoulders. This is the first real time in a long time that he has shared anything about himself willingly. I kinda like this Matt tonight and I just hope that it stays this way.

We arrive at the club and the parking lot is packed with luxury cars, normal cars, and a whole section just for motorcycles. I didn’t think that many people actually rode motorcycles anymore. I guess this is the mafia of all biker clubs.

Matt stops short before we reached the front entrance and turns towards me.

“Please be on your best behavior Lou, tonight can’t be a fuck up for me. I’m the president here, but if one of my own steps out of line they need to be punished by my hand and no one else’s. You can’t talk to any other male in this club besides my brothers. Do you understand me?” He looks over at me and for a split second I see nerves and anxiety creep into his eyes, but then it’s gone, like it wasn’t there to begin with.

“Yes, I’ll just stay beside the boys like the good little puppy I am.” I roll my eyes at him but the look he gave me was he is being serious and I can’t joke about this. “Alright, fine. I’ll be on my best behavior tonight.”

He gave me a look before deciding to believe my words and grabbed my hand to continue towards the entrance and pass the line of people waiting to get in, sure it’s a function for the biker club society to show who’s boss on this side of town, but every day people still think it’s a busy night for the club and heard that most of America’s biker gangs are going to be here and want to see someone famous. It wouldn’t surprise me if someone, or a lot of people, end up dead tonight.

We step inside the club and scan the area, it is packed tonight. The place looks amazing considering it’s a sex club.

“I’m going to find Sanders and talk with the other presidents, just stay here with Rick and Rover until I come back.” Matt turns towards me and leans down to kiss my cheek. He turns towards to leave, I watch him walk down the corridor towards his office. He left me alone with the two other boys.

The last time I stepped foot into this club it was quiet and not busy, now it was packed. I can’t walk four feet without bumping into anyone.

“So Lou, it’s good to see you. What did you end up doing when you left us?” Rick leans close to talk into my ear. I can barely hear his voice over the loud music. I’m not sure if I should be sarcastic or tell him the truth. I think I’ll settle with both.

“Oh you know me, just playing around and exploring my options since Matt has been just so busy.” I lean closer to the bar and order my first drink for the night and I know for sure it won’t be my last.

“Lou, don’t be like that. I was worried about you. Matt doesn’t deserve someone like you, especially how he reacted when you left and who he spent most nights with. You deserve someone like me, who will be there for you all the time and show you the world you deserve.”

“Rick, I do deserve a hell of a lot better than Matt but I don’t think you can treat me any better or else you would let me walk right out of here and never come back, but since your loyalty lies with Matt I know it won’t happen so stop wishing for things when it won’t ever happen.” I look at him with such fierceness that I’m scared of myself.

“You’re right, I am loyal to Matt, so in thinking I would have his sloppy seconds, you’re hilarious. Have a good night you little slut.” With that he walks off leaving me shocked. His mood swing has done a full 360.

“Don’t worry about him Louise. He is just sad and is going to nurse his bruised ego. You did a number on him with that little dress and fierce mouth of yours.” Rover moves a seat closer but keeps his distance. I always wondered what his story was. They all have stories about how they ended up here with Matt and how loyal they are to him. I wonder what Rover would be like if he never met Matt. I can see him as a family man with little princess daughters.

“Gee, thanks for that Rover, I don’t think I can hold back my tongue much longer and if I do or say something out of line tonight, I’m sure I’ll get put six feet under.” I know Rover can take my sarcasm because over the years we would always banter with one another while Matt wasn’t around. He kept me sane as well as Jax. Oh god, I hope he is okay and not lying dead somewhere. I shake my head from those images. I can’t let that put a damper on my mood.

“But you do look stunning tonight Lou, and if I see Matt with another woman tonight besides you, I will kick his head in. He’s crazy to treat you like he does… oh don’t look surprised Lou, I don’t like it and that day you ran away, I would have never hurt you. That was all a show. I would never raise a hand to a woman, unless she asked for it, of course.” He winks at me and I know he was being serious, no matter how far Matt would take it with me and in front of the boys that Rover would stand in and protect me just like when Jax did that day I ran away.

“I’m going to take a piss, just don’t move and don’t do anything stupid. Matt should be back soon, and I don’t want my head on a platter for not watching out for you.” Rover gets up to leave and gives me a nod. There was no way was I going to do anything stupid.

I sit at the bar and order my second drink. I scan the ever growing crowed and notice a lot of men around the ages of twenty four to late fifties wearing leather jackets and when some turn their back to me, that’s when I notice the different emblems.

Some men have the Bloody Eagle emblem, they are from Matt’s club, while I saw a man wearing a black dove with a white background emblem, and a few others had different breeds of dogs. There must be about seven to ten different biker gangs here. This isn’t looking good for me. I can’t even look at another man without Matt going psycho.

“Hey lovely, is this seat taken?” I turn around to see where that voice came from and I’m knocked back. He is fucking gorgeous
. This man will send me to my knees.

His blonde hair is neatly geled back into waves, his eyes are ocean blue that are hard to stop staring at. He is wearing a leather jacket and from the side pocket just above his breast is the emblem is of the black dove I saw before. His jaw looks like it is carved from stone, with the perfect lines but he has wrinkles near his eyes, like he smiles way too much and it caused the wrinkles to stay put. His perfect lips are making me imagine doing dirty things to them.

“Ah… no… um… what does the dove mean?” I spit out the last bit hoping I’m not a klutz and can hold my own. I sound like a nervous school girl talking to her crush.

“It’s the black dove, which means The Dove of Doom, yeah don’t give me that look, I didn’t come up with it.” He laughs at my confused face. That is a strange name for a biker club. Oh well, I guess they have a bad reputation to up hold because of the silly name.

“The names Kyle and I need to know your name for when I’m moaning it later.” Oh that cocky bastard, if he wasn’t this good looking I wouldn’t be even thinking about it. What my name would sound like rolling off his tongue?

“Its Louise, everyone calls me Lou, and you really shouldn’t be talking to me because Matt is my date and he doesn’t like when others talk to me.” The look of madness crosses Kyle’s face. Oh yes, he has heard about Matt, but when I follow the direction of where he’s looking, I’m angry too.

There is Matt in the corner booth, just like the last time I was here, but instead of just him and a woman, there is a bunch of people.

Matt is laughing at something the blonde chick is saying and then leans across the table and whispers in the other blonde’s ear. I knew this would happen but I’m angrier at myself because I let Matt in. I feel jealous and disappointed that I’m not over there sitting on his lap. I shouldn’t be feeling these fucking feelings after everything he has done to me.

So this will be the time I play it up, if he wants to control me, maybe I should stand my ground as well. I notice Rover and the other boys over there with Matt, not paying me any attention. Score. I turn around and focus all of my attention on Kyle, he sure deserve points for still sitting here knowing who I belong too. Yuck, I sound like a cheap whore or worse someone’s pet.

“Well, looks like he doesn’t need me as his date now, so let’s be dateless together?” I ask Kyle while leaning a little closer.

“Sure, but I don’t want to cross any boundaries here. This isn’t my territory and this whole function was to sign a treaty.” I try to not look too disappointed but I pout and I think that’s won him over.

“Oh please, you don’t look like the softy I’m pegging you for, show me the bad guy you truly are.” I get up off my seat and smooth out my dress.

He leans closer and whispers in my ear. “Alright, but I’m telling you, I am a softy and I would like a dance with you before I take you to a back room and make love to you.” Who knew that would make my body turn on fire but still put goose bumps on my skin?

After three dances with Kyle, I feel like I’m floating on cloud nine. This is heaven to know I’m truly adored and I have only known him for a few hours, but Alex is never too far away from my thoughts. My heart aches for him. I never knew how much I missed him until I was in Kyle’s arms for the first dance.

Alex has been in my dreams every night since I left and we never even got to kiss. How can one man affect me so much?

I guess it was the looks he would give me the couple of times we were together. Like he looked into my soul, saw all my dark secrets, and accepted them without question.

I miss him and he wasn’t even mine to miss.

“Louise, are you still with me?” Kyle’s voice interrupts my train of thought and looks at me with pure awe.

“Yeah, of course I’m here.” I smile weakly up at him when he steps apart from me and takes my hand.

“I think that’s enough dancing don’t you think?” He turns to look at me before leading me past Matt and the others to the corridor where all the rooms are.

We stop in front of room three and push the door open.

The room was just light enough to make out the surroundings, it had a king size bed in the center of the room. It had metal framing with handcuffs at each end of the mattress. At the end of the bed there is a black leather couch. The whole room is designed with black and purple leather. It’s exquisite, elegant and a little bit sexy.

Kyle takes my hand and leads the way to the left side of the bed, he lowers my hand onto his shoulder and he brings his face closer to mine.

“Louise, I can’t tell you enough of how beautiful you look this evening. I wish you weren’t with Matt or I would claim you as mine.” He slowly brings his face to mine and gently places his lips over the top of mine.

I slowly part my lips to welcome the taste of him; he tastes so sweet and spicy. His kisses are soft but urgent.

Kyle reaches down the length of my short dress and slowly peels it up my body. We briefly part from kissing so he can pull the dress over my head.

“God Louise, you take my breath away,” he whispers in my ear.

The feel of his hands roaming around my body feels heavenly. I don’t want this moment to end.

Kyle slowly lowers me to the bed while kissing down my neck. I jerk away from Kyle when I hear a loud bang outside the door, followed by someone yelling. That’s when I hear my name being called. Oh shit, it’s Matt.

“Louise!” Matt yells from behind the door.

“Kyle, I am sorry you are caught up in this, please go hide somewhere in the room so he doesn’t see you or catch you. This isn’t going to end well.” I go to push him off me when the bedroom door swings open, and Matt comes face to face with Kyle. Oh what a brave soul he is.

“What the fuck do you think you are doing West? I warned your bunch to stay away from my date but clearly you didn’t get the memo.” Matt walks closer to Kyle and they are the same height but it looks like Matt is a little bit bigger in the muscles.

“You didn’t seem to mind about Louise’s feelings when you were practically fucking the two blondes in the booth. I just wanted to show her who a real man is.” He looks back over to me and now that was the biggest mistake he made tonight.

Matt’s fist connected with Kyle’s jaw, sending him two steps back, fumbling for a split second before composing himself.

Kyle throws two punches to Matt’s face and then another one to Matt’s stomach. Kyle is fast but not fast enough to dodge Matt’s punch to the gut and another one to his side. I heard ribs crack and Kyle’s air rushing out of his lungs.

I hear screams ring out in the hallway and look to the doorway, noticing a crowd has appeared, and before I can blink, Rover and the rest of the boys are behind Matt. Then six other biker members come barreling down the hallway to see what the commotion is all about.

They all pile into the room to defend their biker members; no one is paying me any attention. I look down at my body and realize I’m still in my underwear.

When other members of the Black Dove come and see Kyle on his knees, they open fire.

“Get Louise fucking dressed and home right now, it’s going to get fucking ugly and I need her alive to punish her myself,” Matt says as looks over to Rover. Rover walks past Kyle, giving him a kick to the side, he picks me my dress, shoves it in my hands. I quickly put it on and once its down past my ass Rover picks me up and throws me over his shoulder. I hit his back and yell at him to put me down but he doesn’t budge.

We make it outside when I hear more gunshots and screaming. So many people are running, screaming out of the nightclub, most of the people are covered in blood. I hear the faint sirens in the distance.

“What the hell do you think you are doing Rover? Put me the fuck down now!” I kick and punch his back but nothing I do is working.

We make it to his car. He halls me inside and slams the door shut. He gets in the driver’s side and takes off towards Matt’s house, to my doom.

  Alex

I WOKE UP ON alert. It’s been two weeks since Louise has been missing and I can’t take this anymore.

I get up out of bed, and throw on some running shorts and my runners. I don’t even bother with a top. I’m not going to stop until I’m ready to pass out. My father hasn’t called with an update and I’m beginning to worry whether he has actually done anything or she’s dead.

I exit the house and head towards the gym eight blocks from where I live. Yeah, piece of cake, and then I can smash out some weights to keep my mind from wondering.

I reach the gym in my personal best time, who knew that something so little can be so life changing.

I open the gym doors and spot Reece over at the weights.

“Hey, what are you doing here this early Alex?” Reece asks and calls me over to spot for him.

“I couldn’t sleep and my father hasn’t sent any update on Louise so I decided to take a run and come here. How come you’re here this early too?” I help lift with the weight off the bar.

“Oh, I’m on call right now but I’m not sure if I need to go in, and later this afternoon I’m meeting with the bride to finalize the finer details for her wedding on Saturday.” Of course he has a shit eating grin on his face, new bridesmaids to wrestle into bed.

“I think I’m going to start looking for her on my own, I can’t wait any longer, but I will need your help and Steph’s.” I walk over to the mirror and lift a weight in my right arm and flex.

“Are you sure that’s a good idea? I mean these people could be dangerous and we aren’t prepared for that man. Oh, and who is this Steph person you speak of?” Reece walks over to the mirror and copies what I’m doing.

“Don’t worry about all that now. I’ll figure something out and Steph is Louise’s best friend. You remember the night at the bar where I saw Lou and she was with a blonde? Well that’s Steph. I’m surprised you didn’t know who she was since you were eye fucking her across the room.” I change the weights to my left hand.
