“Don’t you want to use the bathroom?” he asked.

  “No, I don’t.”

  “It’s a long ride home.”

“No, I don’t want to use the bathroom,” she said adamantly.

“Yes, you do,” he said, whispering in her ear.

Back inside the terminal she looked around for a bathroom and returned with a smile on her face. Their cases stored in the trunk, they settled in the back of the limousine for the long ride into Whitney. It was dark and it was rainy and they snuggled close together, and the only lights visible were those on the headlights of the limo.

“Awful weather,” she said as they watched the rain pelting down.

“It certainly is,” he said, running his hand gently between her thighs.

  She parted them slightly.

“Wider,” he said, softly kissing her.

Passion spurted through her body as his hand worked its way slowly from her knee to her thigh and back to her knee. She was impatient and longed to be touched by him. He kept teasing her by moving his hand up and down the inside of her thigh, intentionally avoiding where he knew she wanted to be touched.

“You’re impatient,” he whispered. “Relax and enjoy it.”

He continued to move his hand up and down her thigh, but never going close to her clenching pussy.

“I want you to beg me,” he said softly as his tongue ran across her lips.

“He might hear us,” she said, looking at the driver.

“He doesn’t care,” he replied. “He’s concentrating on driving. So are you going to beg me?”

She stared in the driver’s direction and realized that Seamus was right about him.

“Touch me,” she said, turning her head to whisper in his ear.

“I am not convinced,” he said softly. “You can do better than that, Summer.”

“I want you to play with me,” she said, rubbing his erection through his denim trousers.

“Take it out,” he whispered directly in her ear.

She pulled his zipper down and fondled his thick erection, glancing occasionally at the driver. First she played with the crown, circling it with her fingers, and squeezing and massaging it.

“Do you want me to touch you?” he asked, teasing her with his fingers.

“Yes, touch me,” she said as the blood pulsed its way down to her swollen clit.

He ran his finger between her legs and her body moved against his finger. After moving it around and around on her clit, he finally slipped it inside.

“Oh, Seamus,” she whispered. “Oh, Seamus, that feels good.”

“Don’t you want to suck it?” he asked as he worked his fingers in and out of her.

She lowered her head and took his warm, throbbing erection between her lips then deeper into her mouth, and he groaned softly with desire.

“Oh God,” he whispered as his body rocked back and forth, forcing his dick deeper into her mouth.

“Damn!” he said, opening his eyes and noticing they were under the bright lights of Whitney.

It was only twenty minutes before they were at home. He pulled her head away and tried to get his erection inside his jeans but without success. He, however, continued to massage her insides, feeling her muscles flexing around his fingers as he pulled them in and out.

“I’ll finish this when we get home,” he said, kissing her on the cheek.

  Chapter Seventeen

The limousine turned into 43098 Port Collier Road, and before the driver could open the door, Seamus jumped out and disappeared. The driver unloaded the baggage and placed it at the opened door. Summer thanked him and wished him a goodnight.

“Seamus,” she called out, “where are you?”

He appeared from the hallway still in his jeans, his erection still sticking out of his fly. She started to laugh.

“Is that why you disappeared so quickly?”

“I couldn’t very well exhibit myself in front of him, could I?”

He sat down on the couch and motioned her to join him.

“Let’s carry on where we left off before we were interrupted.”

“I would love to have a shower,” she said, turning away.

  “First things first.”

“I’ll be right back,” she said, disappearing down the hallway.

She went in the direction of the kitchen and returned with a plastic container. She snapped the lid off, dipped her thumb in the contents, and licked it. She then covered the entire head of his erection with the contents.

He did not speak, but just stared at her.

“No need to worry,” she said. “It’s organic honey. None of that Chinese stuff! Produced here in Maine! Says it right here on the container.”

She knelt before him and covered his cock with honey. Then she flicked her tongue over the crown.

“Good honey,” she said, removing it from her mouth and making a popping sound.

He pulled her up and kissed her.

“You’re right. Good honey,” he said.

She stared longingly at his cock before reinserting it into her mouth, while he opened the button at the waist of his trousers, giving her full access to his throbbing erection. He stretched out, his head on the back of the couch while she administered to him, cleaning every drop of honey from his body. Starting at the shaft, she licked him all the way to the head, slowly enveloping it. She sucked hard, forming a hollow in her cheeks, and she felt his erection turn to steel. That desire which fluttered inside her, made her want to satisfy him even more. Down again she went to the bottom of his shaft, where she took his tight sac in her mouth! They felt like two giant marbles as she tossed them around with her tongue, sucking and nipping them with her teeth. This seemed to set a fire burning throughout his body and he twisted, squirmed, and stretched as the pleasure racked through his soul. His prick, missing the warmth, bobbed its head in anticipation. She drew him in again, while she continued to stroke him. He opened the buttons on her blouse and played with her luscious breasts, first one, and then the other. She removed it from her mouth and licked his purple head and pushed it back into her mouth. He moved up and down while holding her head with one hand. Unable to control himself any longer, he made one final jerk and spilled himself into her mouth.

“Oh, Summer,” he shouted, staring down at her, his body gyrating to the pull of her mouth.

Both hands reached down and held her head as she continued to pleasure him. She did not let up until every single drop had been released from his body.

“Sit on me,” he said, pulling her to sit on his lap, her back to his chest, and his chin leaning on her right shoulder.

She now sat astride his body.

“Spread your legs,” he said, pushing her legs over his.

He pulled up her skirt and rubbed his finger around her warm and pulsing sex, and her body heaved and rose to meet it.

“You’re wet, Summer. You are sweet and juicy,” he said, totally out of breath and still caressing her.

He cupped one of her breasts, while his hand pushed her legs even farther apart and continued to slowly massage her clit.

  “Oh, Seamus,” she groaned.

“You want to tell me something?”

“I’m coming,” she called out, as he quickened his hand movements.

Her body stiffened, and she came with rapid jerking movements while calling out his name.

“Yes, Summer. Yes, Summer. Let it out.”

They both lay exhausted on the couch until she stirred. She lifted his hand from between her legs and covered her naked breasts.

“Where are you going?” he asked sleepily.

“To have a nice long shower and then to bed,” she replied. “Have you any idea what time it is?”

  He looked at his watch.

“Almost midnight! It has really been a long day,” he said, getting up. “One more thing, Summer. Tomorrow I’m moving you upstairs to my bedroom.”

“You haven’t asked me. Should I take that a
s an order?”

“Take it any way you like,” he said, putting his hands under her skirt and grabbing her cheeks.

After a long, warm shower together, they stretched out across the bed. Exhaustion gone, they talked and talked. He would place an ad for a housekeeper the following day. They talked about the vacations they would take together and the wonderful life they would have.

“Have you any idea how much money we made in New York?” he asked, turning to face her.

“I don’t know the exact amount, but I know it was a lot.”

She was shocked when he told her the total sum he had made from his paintings.

“When is the next show?” she asked, running her finger along his cheeks.

“That’s a long way off. I must get back to work as soon as possible. I sold just about everything I had.”

“Are you still going to keep Rachel as a model?”

  “I don’t know.”

“Why don’t you know? I think she is a great model.”

“So you think I should keep her?”

  “Of course you should.”

“Only if she doesn’t get in your way,” he said. “You know, Summer, I was wondering what I should give to you for helping to make the show such a great success.”

“You have already paid me,” she said.

“I know what I’ll do,” he said, turning off the light and pulling her close. “Goodnight, Summer.”

  “Goodnight, Seamus.”

“Another thing, Summer, I don’t want you to become pregnant. At least not yet,” he said, gently stroking her naked body.

  “That won’t happen.”

  “Are you on birth control?”

  “Yes I am.”

“Why did you allow me to take away that sweet, raw magic by using condoms?”

“I didn’t know you very well. And besides, I started using birth control only three months ago.”

“I’m happy to hear that,” he said. “Goodnight, Summer.”

  * * * *

The following morning, the dappled sunlight shone through the pines and into their bedroom. Summer opened her eyes and stared outside, and then she turned to look at Seamus. He was still fast asleep on his back, his eyelids opened just a little. She stared at him and watched him as he breathed in and out, his chest rising with each breath. She wanted to caress his cheeks, but she decided to let him rest. He had had a couple stressful weeks getting ready for the exhibition.

She quietly stepped out of bed and stared out the porthole. It was good to be back. She watched the birds flitting back and forth and thought what it would be like to be a winged creature flying off whenever and wherever it wanted. She saw a cardinal and its partner sitting on a branch, the bright-red color of the male contrasting beautifully with the green of the pines. They, too, were in love and belonged together. She looked beyond the pines and saw the waves breaking gently along the shoreline. There were a few fishing boats on the water, and the fishermen were casting out their nets. There was no traffic to assault the ears. Just peace and quiet! She wondered what was going on in New York City. She wondered about the people who had bought the paintings. Were they sitting there at that moment staring at them and enjoying them? She thought about the wonderful time that she and Seamus had spent together in the city. And what about Lana Podesta? Was she now history? A relic of his past? She turned to look at him. His eyes were open, and he was just lying there and staring at her.

  “Good morning,” she said.

“Good morning. What were you looking at?” he asked.

“Nothing special. I was admiring the scenery and enjoying the peace and quiet.”

“This is what I like waking up to. I love that your face is the first thing I see when I open my eyes. What are we going to do today?” he asked, kissing the back of her hand.

“The fridge is empty and so are the cupboards,” she replied.

“You can go grocery shopping. I have to make a trip into Whitney,” he said.

  She stared at him.

“You never said anything about going into town. It’s obvious you don’t want me to go with you.”

“That’s true,” he said, smiling. “I don’t want you to go with me.”

“That’s perfect,” she replied, “because I don’t really want to go with you either.”

“You don’t?” he asked, somewhat disappointed by her reply.

“Are you going to place the ad for the housekeeper?”

“Why don’t you do it yourself since you’re going into town?” she asked, getting up and leaving.

“That’s not a bad idea,” he said, following her.

  Don’t go there, Summer.

She was actually thinking of Lana Podesta. Why couldn’t she get the woman out of her mind? She was always right there between them. She was determined to keep holding on for selfish reasons. Was she holding something over Seamus?

“Are you listening to me?” he asked.

She was lost in her thoughts.

“Are you thinking about me?” he asked, pulling her to him.

“I was back in New York City.”

“Were you sitting at Liam O’Shea’s table?” he asked, smirking.

“You devil,” she said, throwing her towel at him.

“Mind if I shower with you?” he asked.

He looked handsome in his jeans and T–shirt, strutting barefooted around the house. He did not have an athletic body, but he was lean and trim. Each time she looked at him, she could only imagine how lucky she was. He truly loved her, and she loved him.

“What time will you be back?” she asked.

“In about three hours, or perhaps less,” he replied. “What about you?”

“I’ll probably have lunch after I’m through with the grocery shopping.”

“If you see Rachel, ask her to call me. Try to convince her that she should come back.”

“You mean you would like her to return to model for you?”

“Yes, that’s what I mean. You’ll know what to tell her,” he said, kissing her gently.

“Good-bye, Seamus,” she said, as she watched him strut out the door.

She heard the engine roar and looked out in time to see the SUV turn right at the end of the driveway.

  Chapter Eighteen

Three months after they returned from New York, Summer drove up to the mall in Port Collier, and went into the mom-and-pop shop, where she saw Rachel.

“Hello, Rachel. We haven’t seen you for a long time,” she said.

“I wasn’t sure if I should return after what happened the last time I saw you.”

“I don’t remember what happened,” she replied, knowing full well what the young girl meant.

“Well, it doesn’t matter,” Rachel replied.

“Seamus said I should let you know that he wants you to return for another sitting.”

“Did he really say that?” she asked, excitement dancing in her eyes.

“Your painting was a hit in New York. He sold it to a very important person.”

“He did?” she asked, almost screaming with glee. “He should let me know when he wants me to come over, so that I can find someone to work for me.”

“I will tell him that, Rachel.”

“Thank you, Summer,” said the young girl, putting the last of the grocery items into the plastic bag.”

  “See you soon, Rachel.”

  “Good-bye, Summer,” she said.

She threw the groceries into the back seat of the Volkswagen and, since she was feeling peckish, decided to have lunch.

Chinese food? A nice fat, juicy hamburger? That’s what she wanted. A juicy hamburger! She bit into it, suddenly thinking of Seamus. What was he really doing in Whitney? It made no sense worrying about it. There was nothing she could do at the moment. She had to learn to trust him.

  * * * *

Seamus walked around the showroom, looking from one car to the next. A saleswoman quickly appeared by his side.

“I’m looking for a convertible. Silver grey!”

“As you can see, we have only imported models on this side of the showroom,” she said, staring at him.

“Tell me about this model here,” he said.

She knew her cars. He was impressed by her knowledge of the vehicles. He asked lots of questions and she always seemed to have the answer at her fingertips.

“If I place an order today, when can I expect to have it delivered?”

“That would take about four weeks,” she said, still staring at him and thanking her lucky stars, because she worked on commission.

“Would you contact me as soon as you have any news? This is supposed to be a surprise.”

“Of course, sir,” she said, taking his business card.

She read the card. Seamus Balsam, Artist.

  “Are you the Seamus Balsam?”

“I don’t know about the. I am just Seamus Balsam.”

“And you are modest, too,” she said with a smile that would put the Mona Lisa to shame.

After all the paperwork was done, Seamus stood up to go, but the young woman was still fawning all over him.

“Thank you, Lisa. Please keep in touch.”

Should I have said it like that, he wondered? I hope she didn’t misunderstand what I meant. He laughed to himself. One year ago, he would’ve been much more forward with such a willing participant, but today it was a different story. He had someone in his life that stimulated him mentally and physically and, most of all, made him happy where it counted, in the bedroom. He left the car dealership and walked to the advertising agency where he was greeted by an agent.

“Have you ever used our services?” asked the young woman.

“Yes, about one year ago. I placed an ad for an assistant.”

“Were you happy with our services?”

“Yes, and I want to place another ad. This time it’s for a housekeeper.”

She took the information and promised that the ad would be posted in about three days. He felt lighthearted and had an invisible skip in his step. He was heading home to Summer. What would he do with the papers for the car? He couldn’t let her find them because that would ruin the surprise. When he arrived her car was not there, but before he could open the door, her Volkswagen drove up.
