  “Come and get some.”

Bang, bang, bang. The door rattled. “Hey, we’d like to get in there sometime today,” said one of the guys from outside. I eyed her and broke into a fit of giggles. There had to be a line a mile long outside. What did they hear? What did they think went on behind closed doors?

“What are you doing in there?” Yup, the power of the, male mind, thinking from between his legs. How’d I know? The boy’s brains had gone into overdrive, and the longer we remained behind a locked door, the bigger the stories in their heads would grow.

“Nothing you boys could handle,” Smitty yelled back through the door. “Just a little female bonding.”

“You’re not helping.” I shoved Smitty, giving her a dirty look. We didn’t need the guys fantasizing about us soaping each other up in the showers. As if being one of five women in a male dominated unit, surrounded by alpha chest-thumpers, wasn’t bad enough.

“It’s okay. We used all the hot water. They’ll get over it quick.” She laughed and pulled her robe on while I did the same.

  “You’re incorrigible, Smitt.”

“The one and only.” She opened the door and stared into half a dozen male faces. “They’re all yours, boys. We’re done here.” She brushed past and started up the stairs. Mouths dropped open, and heads swiveled in her direction. I shook my head and started after her.

“It’s not what you think,” I said. But their expressions said otherwise. No, they didn’t have to think. Their cocks had taken over.

  Super.

  Chapter Four

  Two weeks later….

My eyelids hung half open, as though I had five pound weights attached to them. I fiddled with my pencil, trying to focus on the fascinating world of land navigation. Why the Army felt the need to teach us back azimuths and the manual use of a compass, when we had GPS, didn’t seem realistic.

I shifted in my seat and renewed the effort to keep my eyes from dropping shut. To make matters worse, the instructor taught the land navigation class in monotone. To a sleep-deprived mind, it worked like a lullaby. I shifted in my seat again, sliding my buns to the other side of my perch, anything to stay awake. Lack of sleep. Dry subject. Could it get any worse?

The appropriate thing to do would be to stand up and go to the back of the class. The instructors always told you to stand, instead of drift off, but nobody wanted to be the first. A pride thing. Since I was one of the experimental females in sniper school, and had a lot to prove, I wouldn’t be the first. I refused to be the first.

I rolled my shoulders and leaned back. How much longer could he go on about contour intervals? Okay, I got it. The closer together the lines, the higher the grade of the slope. For the love of god, move on.

I glanced over as someone pulled out the chair next to me and sat. Adrenaline shot through my blood, and I snapped awake, hammering heart and all. I kept my eyes front, watching from my peripheral vision. It just got worse. Damn!

For the last two weeks, everywhere I went, he watched, and I couldn’t escape him. He hadn’t spoken to me, but I knew when I was being stalked. Sergeant Stone hadn’t given up. He waited patiently for an opening, a chance to go in for the kill. Right now, he had me in his sights, and I couldn’t do a damn thing about it. Hello, Staff Sergeant Yummy. Now, go away.

I glanced at him sideways, and the corner of his mouth curled. Flip-flop, my stomach tumbled, and my pulse skyrocketed. Okay, don’t go away. His cologne wafted toward me. I closed my eyes, inhaling the spicy scent, squeezing my knees together under the desk. Want, want, want. Bad girl. I would not break my word to Smitty. Not going to happen.

“Sergeant Davis,” the instructor barked. “If you feel the need to take a nap, stand up and go to the back of the class.”

I opened my eyes. The instructor had halted his presentation and stared at me, along with every other soldier in the room, including Stone’s dark, spooky eyes. The intensity in them matched the heat I’d felt from two weeks before, when we were between the buildings. I swallowed and scrambled to my feet, knocking my chair over. Bang!

In the quiet room, it sounded like an artillery round dropping. Snickering, and coughs followed. Oh, yeah. I continued to make a stellar impression. At least the first sergeant didn’t witness it this time. I picked up the chair and moved to the back. Stone stood and followed. The instructor turned around with his laser pointer and started going over the finer points of terrain analysis. I could care less. I wanted out of here. Away from Stone and the boring class full of material I already knew.

When Stone moved next to me, my heart pounded like a bass drum in a marching band. The muscles in my thighs clenched. Oh god. Please don’t stand so close. But, he did. Close enough to touch, and I didn’t have to look. All six foot three inches of sex and muscle leaned against the wall next to me, staring, and damn, if my body didn’t know it. I bit my lip and focused on the screen and Sergeant Jones’s droning voice.

Nolan leaned in, whispering to me while his eyes remained front and center. “I have a condom.”

I collapsed against the wall and sucked in a huge breath. Seriously? He didn’t just suggest we do something about it now, did he?

Sergeant Jones stopped his presentation and whipped around, glaring. “Do you want to teach this class, Sergeant Davis?”

  “No, Sergeant.”

“Then I suggest you pay attention. This could save your life someday.”

  “Yes, Sergeant.”

  Jones returned to his presentation.

“Ask to be excused to go to the latrine,” Stone whispered.

Oh hell no. My knees shivered. Staff Sergeant Stone pulled away, fading so silently out the door, nobody looked. Ask to go to the latrine? What? No. Absolutely not. I had no inclination to play his game. I wasn’t some slut he could have anytime he beckoned. No. Not now, not ever.

I raised my hand. “Excuse me, Sergeant Jones.”

  “What now, Sergeant Davis?”

“I need to go to the latrine.”

Jones drew in a deep breath and pointed at the door. “Excused.”

I nodded and backed through the exit. Crap, crap, crap. What are you doing, Paige? I paced toward the barracks and the latrine. I stopped about halfway and stared at the building, turned and went back toward the classroom. No, no, no. You’re not doing this. I spun back around. Oh yes, I am.

“Davis. Shouldn’t you be somewhere?” I turned to look at who addressed me and froze. The first sergeant had come out of his office and stood on the edge of the dirt lot where we formed up in the morning. His arms were crossed over his chest, and one eye glared. The other stared at something in the sky.

“Yes, First Sergeant. I’m going the latrine.”

He grunted and tapped his face next to his eye and turned to go back into his office. The door slammed behind him, and I jumped.

His face appeared in the window, providing all the encouragement I needed. I ran for the restroom, trying to get under cover as fast as I could. I couldn’t go back to the classroom, not right off. He watched. I couldn’t go up to my room. He just might come up to check on me. I had one place to go, and trouble waited for me there. How did I manage to get myself into these situations?

I threw the door open and peeked in. Stone sat on the washing machine. Those in the barracks shared the appliance, but I wasn’t thinking about doing laundry. Now, sharing, yeah, I had a few ideas. Several creative uses of the spin cycle came to mind. I quickly pushed the image out of my brain. Not the time or place. So, why are you here? Damn. I know why.

“Stone,” I hissed. “Someone’s going to catch us. The first sergeant just saw me.” I stepped into the room and shut the door.

  “Lock it.”

Without thinking, I turned the deadbolt. Then reached to unlock it.

“Don’t even think about it.” He jumped off the washing machine and strode toward me. My mouth went dry.

“This isn’t a good idea. I don’t even know you.”

  “My
name’s Nolan, and have you got a better idea?” He backed me against the door and pressed a palm on either side of my head. No, not a game I should be playing with him. He lowered his mouth to mine and softly kissed my bottom lip, pressing closer. “Say no, and I’ll let you go.” His challenge to cry uncle evaporated as fast as he made it.

Nolan’s breath whispered against my cheek. Heat surged through my blood. I opened my mouth and shut it. “You and I both know you don’t want to leave.”

One word. That was all it would take. His lips moved down my neck, and I balled my hands. When I opened my mouth to tell him no, I rewarded him with a throaty growl instead. Little tickles of lust skittered down my body. He had me. I couldn’t do it. Didn’t want to do it. I groaned and grabbed the ass I’d dreamed about since the first day he ran formation.

He lifted me like a child’s toy and swung me away from the door. It progressed rapidly from there. I wrapped my legs around his waist while he walked us to the washing machine and set me on it. In one tug, he had my belt undone then went for my boots, dropping them to the floor.

  “Lift.”

I pressed my hands down and raised my hips. It took seconds for my ACU pants to join my boots and belt. His eyes darted down and back up to mine. The corner of his mouth twitched.

I glanced down to see what he found so amusing and had to fight the urge to climb inside the washing machine. Oh yeah. Grandma panties. The ultimate tool for seduction.

“What are these?” He snapped the band at my ribs.

I cringed. What were they? Horrors. That’s what they were. If I’d known I’d find myself naked in front of Stone, I wouldn’t have worn them. No frills, cotton, the kind that stopped at the bottom of my ribs and were baggy in the ass. They most un-sexy garment on the face of the planet, and I sported them in white, two sizes too big. Of course, they’d fit in basic, but I’d dropped some pounds since and never needed to upgrade. I’d kept them for display purposes only, until today.

“Only good girls wear panties like these.” He dragged his finger down and hooked a gap in the leg opening, slipping under the elastic and sliding it along the inside of my leg, close to my pussy. “Are you a good girl, Davis?”

  “No.”

“Good, because I’d have to do something about it.”

No doubt he would. I sucked in a breath.

His found my pussy, skimming over it. I ground my teeth when he worked the pad of his digit over my clit. These underpants didn’t make me a good girl, just one who’d run out of clean underwear and had to go to backup. We had to have white skivvies for the display in our wall lockers. I’d bought them for basic, hadn’t used them since, but kept them rolled and lined up like little soldiers in my drawer to impress during inspections. Well, until this morning when I realized I’d worn my last clean pair of normal underwear and got desperate. I could’ve gone without. Probably better if I had.

He ripped my underpants from me and dropped them to the floor. “Then you won’t need those.”

I glanced down at them. I’d need a new soldier for the drawer.

He wrapped his arm around my waist and pulled me to the edge. “Whoever sold those to you should go before a firing squad.” He leaned in closer, warm breath washed over my lips. The smell of cinnamon from his gum mingled with the spice of his cologne. Intoxicating.

“Do you have any idea how many times I had to jack off in the last three weeks to get to sleep? I’m done waiting.” His hands dropped to his belt, and he unfastened the buckle.

“Do you have any idea how many times I had to?” I gave it right back to him. I’d promised Smitty I wouldn’t touch him; it didn’t mean I wouldn’t touch myself and pretend it was him.

His nostrils flared, and his eyes darkened. “Baby, I wish I had all day. This is going to have to be quick. We’ll have visitors in about ten, when they come searching for you.” He slipped a condom out of his pocket and set it on the machine.

I ripped open the Velcro on his pants and discovered where the term commando came from. Hu-ah.

“These ought to be standard-issue Army skivvies.” I filled my hand with his cock and freed it from his pants. “Easy access.”

“Easy.” His voice deepened to a growl, vibrating through my center, sending shivers to my toes and heat between my thighs.

I snatched the condom and tore the packet open with my teeth, sliding the rubber down his cock, taking my time.

He knocked my hand away, finished the task, and then pressed his cock against me. “Wet.” His hands went to my ass, and he yanked me forward more, sinking himself to the balls. “Just like I like it.”

I arched back and cried out.

“I’m sorry, baby. When we do this again I’ll go slow and get to know your body, every fucking inch.”

I didn’t care. He filled me so full I practically wept with joy. Damn, he felt good. He held my hips, fucking me harder and harder, until the washing machine rocked on the floor and banged as though it had an unbalanced load. I bit my lip to keep from screaming, raked my nails into his ass, and threw my head back. He leaned forward and put his face to my ear. “That’s it, sweetheart. Let yourself go.”

He muffled my cry with his mouth as I came. My pussy milked his cock, throbbing around him, each thrust sending me into deeper spasms.

“I’m going to come.” He closed his eyes, and I felt the heat of his orgasm through the condom. He shoved deeper, holding me so tight I couldn’t move. His cock hit the right spot, and I exploded a second time, and bit onto the fabric of his collar to muffle my whimpers.

Bang, bang, bang. The door vibrated from someone pounding on it. We became statues, except for the beat of our hearts against one another, and the lingering high. I didn’t even dare draw a breath. Shit.

Nolan held my gaze, keeping me calm. He slid his hand slid down my thigh to my knee and gave it a silent squeeze.

  “You okay in there, Davis?”

  Smitty. I sagged back.

“Yeah, I’m good. I’ll be right out.”

“You sure. I thought I heard you crying.” The doorknob turned, but thank God I’d locked the deadbolt, keeping her safely on the outside.

  “No, I’m good.”

“All right. I’ll let them know you didn’t fall in.” Footsteps retreated, and Stone collapsed against me, laughing silently, his whole torso shaking.

“It’s not funny. We could’ve been caught.”

He kissed me again and pulled away. “Sneaking around is half the thrill.”

“I don’t need those kinds of thrills.”

He smiled, snagged some paper towels by the sink, and walked to the toilet, cleaning up and stuffing the evidence in the rubbish before buttoning his fly. All too casual, all too cool, considering we’d come close to being busted. He strode over to the sink, wet a couple of towels, and tossed them to me.

“Stone. We can’t do this again. We can’t risk it.”

He scooped my panties off the floor. He eyed the trash then stuffed them in his pocket, before returning to where I sat. “Call me Nolan when we’re alone.”

  “Stone—”

His hands slid over my waist and pulled me from the washing machine. My toes hit the floor at the same time he lowered his mouth and cut my words short.

He let go, turned, and walked to the door. “You might want to dress and get back to class.” In a blink, he vanished. The door clicked shut behind him, leaving only the lingering smells of his cologne and sex to keep me company. I scrambled to the door, slid the bolt home, and leaned against the cool surface, closing my eyes. What the fuck just happened?

He ignored me and didn’t say one word one about what happened between us. No thank you for the good time, or that was great. Nothing. Bastard. If he thought I’d let him seduce me again, he had another think coming.

  Chapter Five

“Dismissed.” The formation broke apart, and soldiers headed in all directions. Smitty and the other four females waited for me. They were headed for the di
ning facility for chow. I doubted I could lift a fork, let alone walk the two blocks to grab some grub, so I motioned for them to go on without me.

As anticipated, it had been hell, but worse, much worse. Considering the events of the day, I should’ve been surprised I could make it up the stairs. I staggered down the hall and poked at the lock with my key. Once, twice…. I blinked and focused, finally sliding it home.

My nape tickled, and awareness crept over me. A slow burn moved through my body, centering in the pit of my stomach. I didn’t have to see who was there, and was glad nobody had witnessed his arrival, and hopeful they’d miss his departure. I twisted the key in the lock. “This is a female floor.”

“What? Damn. This is a female floor? I must have taken a wrong turn.”

Wrong turn, my ass. The sneaky bastard had used the fire escape, and, if I wasn’t mistaken, he’d picked the lock on the door. Without a key, it could only be opened from the inside.

I turned to address him. “You have quite a talent. They lock the fire escape door at all times. Exit only.”

  “You call that locked?”

Right. “What do you want, Stone?” I narrowed my eyes on him and glared, hoping he’d get the message.

“What do you think?” He pushed off the wall and strode my way.

Oh no, not again. My heart skipped a beat. This had to stop. I pushed my door open and slid through. He somehow materialized in front of it at the same time I turned around to close it. Damn, the man moved fast.

“Are you going to invite me in?”

“No.” I shoved the door hard, waiting for that satisfying sound as it slammed shut in his face.

It never came. I looked down.

The toe of his boot was wedged in the opening “No? Don’t play with me, baby.”

  “Don’t call me baby.”

Voices echoed up from the bottom of the stairs. I threw the door open and did a double-lapel grab, yanking him into my room and closing the door as silently as I could in a panic. I locked it and spun around to confront him.

Pure amusement covered his face. I wanted to slap it off. “Someone likes to play rough.”
