Begging for Bad Boys
Page 56
“Sam,” she called from the bathroom, “if you’re going to try to talk me out of going, don’t bother.”
“Um,” he replied, inarticulately. Was she standing in front of the mirror on purpose?
“Yeah, because like I said earlier, I have as much reason as anyone to want Ted taken out.” She walked out of the bathroom, wearing a bath towel that hardly covered anything. Sam wondered idly if it was a bath towel or a washcloth. “And,” she continued, “I think I’m the perfect bait.” She walked over to Sam and knelt before him, putting her palms on the tops of his thighs.
“Don’t you agree?” she asked, her green eyes dancing.
She knew exactly what she was doing, Sam realized. His mouth quirked up just a fraction of an inch. He grabbed her wrists and pulled her up, so that she was at eye level with him. Kat’s breath caught in her throat. Sam heard and grinned.
“You’re very good at baiting, I’ll say that,” he said, kissing her roughly. “And I’m not going to try to discourage you. I can tell when I’m outmaneuvered. Just promise me one thing, Kat?”
“Okay.”
“If I tell you to run, you run. If I tell you to hide, you hide. Promise me you won’t put yourself at risk.”
She looked into Sam’s eyes and nodded. “I promise.”
“Thank you.” He kissed her again, then tossed her one of his undershirts. “Put that on. I can’t focus when you’re naked, or so nearly naked, and we need to plan.”
She grinned and tossed on the shirt.
For the next few hours, they went over and over their plan, sometimes consulting Hakim via a secure encrypted line. Taking Ted out would be no small issue. They’d have to time it perfectly, get news outlets in place, avoid local police and get the feds tipped off at just the right time, hide or destroy evidence, get the Rangers in place to take out guards…
Kat was their secret weapon. She knew Ted’s schedule, the layout of his house, his security protocols - everything right down to what time he drank his coffee and how he took it. Sam hated to admit it, because he still hated the idea of putting her at risk, but he didn’t think they’d be able to do any of it without her. On a sheet of paper, which Sam tucked immediately into his jacket pocket, she wrote the number for Ted’s private phone line. She didn’t offer how she knew it, and Sam didn’t ask.
That night, using an anonymous email server, Kat contacted a group of reporters who’d done stories on General Theodore Ross before and informed them that rumors in D.C. had linked him to a human trafficking scheme, and that the feds were preparing to move on him.
Hakim contacted some ambitious feds he knew and fed them the right lines.
The Rangers reviewed plans of Ted’s property.
Sam set up a series of timed tweets that would alert the world to Ted’s crimes at just the right time. The timing would be everything for this, but if they got it right, it would go perfectly.
Every detail was hammered out and rehearsed until they all felt comfortable with it - as much as you could be comfortable walking into a den of vipers. At some point, all Sam could do was pray that everything went well. It was going to take a few days to get everything into place, but Sam planned to use those days to make sure not a single detail would be overlooked.
With a sigh, Sam stood and stretched. Catching Kat's eye, she offered him a sympathetic grin and asked, “Can we go eat now, please?”
Sam chuckled and gave her a rueful grin in return. He should have known she would be hungry, neither of them having had a proper meal since the breakfast Amal had made before they had departed.
“What would you like?” he asked. Kat scrunched up her face thoughtfully before shaking her head.
“Anything. I'm happy to eat wherever, as long as I'm with you,” she added shyly.
“I think there was a diner we passed on the way here,” Sam suggested, and Kat nodded enthusiastically.
“That sounds great to me,” she replied.
After calling John to come pick them up, Sam took her small hand in his and led her down to the lobby to wait for their ride.
Chapter 14
Sam was on fire, stepping into that hotel room. He’d never wanted anything the way he wanted Kat. Like he was dying, and she was the only thing that could save him. He'd hardly been able to concentrate on dinner, but she'd been the same way, distracted by their mutual attraction to one another.
She was right in front of him, and he couldn’t resist the urge to reach out and grab her. She turned in his arms, and their lips met, the kiss passionate and full of need.
He slid his hand to the back of her neck, acting on pure impulse. He needed to possess her, to own her, if just for this moment.
He deepened the kiss, realizing how much he needed this — he’d let it all build too long. Maybe that was why he was so obsessed with Kat.
It was long overdue, and judging by her enthusiasm in returning the kiss, she felt the same.
He was desperate to feel her under his body, going crazy with the urge to feel every single inch of her under his flesh. He picked her up with one arm, carrying her backward to the bed.
She was good the last time he’d had her, but this time there was something different about her. Intense, almost wild. She bit his bottom lip as he carried her back to the bed, moaning.
“Hurry,” she cried as he put her down. “I need you inside me.”
He reared back, looking down at her intently.
“You’ve had your fun. Now it’s time for me to have mine.”
Sam leaned down to kiss her lips, her ear, her neck. She shuddered with pleasure, her hands raking his back. Reminding him that there was far too much material between them, most of it his suit.
He moved back to peel his suit jacket off, along with his shoulder holster for his gun. Staring down at her with a distinctly threatening look, he moved close. She sat up close to the edge of the bed, and they met with a kiss, a clashing of lips and teeth.
He gripped the back of her neck again, forced her to take more of his kiss. She submitted, but her eyes sparked — she wouldn’t take it for long.
Good.
She undid the buttons of his shirt, and he closed his eyes briefly as she kissed his stomach, her hands searching for his belt. He saw what she was doing, moving closer to being penetrated.
But he didn’t want that, not just yet. He wanted to do all the things he’d skipped last time, the things he needed to try out with her.
He released her and shucked off his shirt. He stood her up, turned her around, then made a show of slowly unzipping her dress. She wore nothing underneath, the way it should be.
His fingers caressed every inch of skin as it was revealed, memorizing the feel of her. Her breasts were small but perfect, two gorgeous teardrops. He turned her around, kissing her, and pushed her back on the bed.
Sam slowly undid his belt, pushing his pants down with force. He toed off his shoes and socks, leaving him in dark boxer briefs and a darker look.
“You were so good back there at the diner,” he said. “Now it’s my turn, little girl.”
Her hands were already on his boxers, pushing them down.
His cock jutted out proudly. She was surprised all over again by his size, he could tell by the look on her face.
Still, Kat didn’t back down for a second. She fisted his cock in her hand boldly, making him hiss. And then when she took it in her mouth…
Heaven.
She took it deep, sucking it in long strokes. She managed to wrap her hand around his cock, twisting as she worked her tongue gently under the head. He wrestled with his need for control.
Looking down on her as she worked, watching her tongue work… it nearly undid him.
In less than five minutes, she had him good to go, ready to cum like an avalanche; soon enough, he was pulling her away, eager to taste her instead.
He pushed her back onto the bed, back to the pillows. He separated her thighs with a knee, then lay on top of her, kissing her hard.
/>
She groaned, ready for him. “Cum in me. You know you want to…”
He chuckled. As tempting as that sounded, there were important things to do first. He hadn’t done this, tasted her, during their rushed first time.
But now it was different. She was important to him, and he wanted her to remember him forever. That thought put questions in his mind of where he thought this was going, but he pushed those aside.
Sam moved down, kissing her breasts and her stomach as he went. She realized what he was doing and tried to pull him away, but he wasn’t standing for it.
He moved down to the light dappling of hair she kept down there, spreading her lips wide with two fingers. She whimpered with hunger, impatient. She was soaked for him, beyond ready.
He delved in, running his tongue in circles, pulling soft sounds from her throat. Her hands clutched his hair, breathless. He could tell she wanted it, more than anything, but maybe didn’t want to be disappointed.
He kept his pace slow and steady, listening to her breathing pick up, her hands restless. It was only when her hips began to move against his mouth, grinding mindlessly, that he kicked up the intensity.
He pulled back and inserted one finger, then two before putting his tongue to work again. He worked his fingers in and out, and put some force behind his tongue, working her clit for all it was worth.
She was begging to cum now, pleading with him. He’d give her what she wanted.
She shattered, cumming so hard around his fingers that he gasped. She seemed to cum for ages, delicate aftershocks continuing for what seemed like forever.
He moved back up to her face, kissing her. He was hard as a rock, and Kat was about to experience just how good that could feel.
Sam rose above her, fisting his cock, and rubbed it against her opening. She bit her lip, pulling him in, gasping at the way that he filled her. He felt the same, that her pussy was so incredible, it felt like a glove made just for him.
“You like that, don’t you?” he said, sinking all the way in.
“Yes, yes!” she cried. “More, please!”
He managed to get himself under control, filling her with short strokes, keeping things on the lighter side. Well, lighter side for him.
He could feel her nails raking his back, felt pressure to let go, let the beast out of its cage. No, not yet…
He fucked her in measured increments, realized that he wouldn’t last that long like this. He needed her to take some control, to take some of the burden, or he was going to blow his lid.
He slowed, kissing her, then pulled out and flipped them both, reversing their positions.
“Your turn,” he told her, breathless. “Show me what you got.”
Kat gave him a slow grin, then mounted him like a horse. Again, that slippery-tight fit, like she was created for him. She was beautiful in this position, breasts jutting out, bouncing as she began to move.
It felt so good, in such a different way. Watching her was something else.
Her face when she started to ride him… He couldn’t look away. It was transfixing, the way she wore her emotions on her sleeve like that. She lifted her face toward the sky as she got closer, he could feel it.
“Are you close?” he whispered, knowing she was.
He reached up and caressed her breast, pinched her nipples.
“Yes. More!” she said, holding his hand to her breast.
Her hips were moving fast, her eyes closed, and he could feel the tightening of her core around his cock. He could tell she wanted it, but the part of his that longed for control just couldn’t let her have it.
Not yet, not if he wasn’t giving it to her.
When he lifted her up, she protested. “Hey!”
“On your knees,” he said, roughly putting her in the right position. “Let me see you touch yourself.”
She reached a trembling hand down to do as he said. He watched for a moment as she touched herself, softly gasping. It was hotter than anything he’d ever seen, and he’d seen a lot.
He grasped his cock, fitted it against her slit, and plunged in. They both cried out as he slid home, filling her to the hilt.
“Your pussy feels so good,” he whispered. “So wet, so tight.”
Now the beast could come out of its cage, he unleashed upon both of them. He hammered her from behind, gritting his teeth.
He could feel her tightening again, ready to orgasm. He set a grueling pace, his mind narrowly focused on one thing: the need to cum.
He felt her beginning to cum underneath him with a scream, and completely let himself go. His movements were brutal, unforgiving.
He came with a shout, pumping long jets of his semen into her willing body. He couldn’t talk or even breathe for a minute afterward. From her inability to catch her breath, neither could she.
They both collapsed into the bed together, Kat in Sam's arms.
Chapter 15
Sam glanced at Kat as he approached the lodge where she’d been with Ted and his friends. She looked pale, but said nothing. Gravel and snow crunched under the wheels as he pulled his car to a halt in the circular drive.
He looked at the lodge, a rough one-story affair built out of dark wood. There was no one visible at the house, although he could make out faint traces of a vehicle’s tracks in the snow. It was hard to guess when the vehicle had been here last, but it must have been since the last snow, so three days maximum.
“Are you ready?” he asked her.
She looked at him, her eyes hooded. “Yes.”
He reached out and took her hand, bringing it up to his lips. Her fingers were shaking as he held them, but she managed to put on a brave face.
He leaned in and placed a kiss on her lips.
“It’ll be okay, I promise.”
“I’m all right, really,” she assured him. She pulled her hand back, evading his grip. “Make the call.”
Sam sighed, then pulled out a prepaid cell phone. He pulled a piece of paper out of his jacket, referencing it for the phone number linked to Ted. He punched the number in, then blew out a breath, nice and slow.
He was about to hear the voice of the animal that had kept Kat captive for so long.
He pressed dial. Ted picked up on the fourth ring.
“Ted Ross here,” a strange voice grunted into the other end.
“I found something valuable that you misplaced,” Sam said, his voice clear and strong.
“I’m sorry, but I think you have the wrong number.” Ted sounded annoyed. Good. If Sam had his way, Ted was going to feel a lot worse than annoyed.
“Her name is Kat,” Sam said flatly. “I think you’ll want to hear what I’ve got to say.”
Ted was quiet for a few beats. “Who the hell are you?”
“You can just call me Sam. I think that’s plenty of information, given what I know about you. Here’s proof of life.”
He held the phone up to Kat, who struggled in her seat and called Ted’s name. She sounded broken, and so authentic that chills broke out down Sam’s arms.
He put the phone back to his ear. “You listening now, Ted?”
Ted mumbled a curse. “Yeah, I’m listening.”
“See, I was just going to walk away with your girl here, but she’s not as sweet as she seems. Won’t do anything voluntarily. So I asked her about you, and she was happy to tell me. Enough that a Google search pulled up your name and your stats.”
Silence from Ted.
“Former general, contracting out now to the tune of millions a year, huh? Must be a pretty sweet gig. Bet you’d do just about anything to keep from getting caught.”
“What do you want?”
“Well, as I said, she won’t do anything I want her to do. So I’ll give her to you… for five hundred thousand dollars. Unmarked, small bills, not consecutive. I’m near your little lodge, so you’d better come get her. Today.”
“I can’t today—”
“Not interested in your excuses, Teddy,” he said conversationa
lly. “You get the money here, today, or I’ll take her to the police.”
“You won’t!”
“Remember, I haven’t touched her. So after I turn her in, I’ll answer a lot of questions, and then I’ll walk. Easy as that.”
Sam could almost hear the wheels turning in Ted’s head. He figured that by this point in the conversation, Ted would be thinking about how best to murder Sam. Another moment of silence passed, then Ted agreed. “Fine.”
With that agreement, Sam went all-out, asking for something that would definitely trigger Ted into full murder mode.
“One more thing.”
“What the fuck else could you possibly want?”
“She said that there were five of you. I want to see all of you, maybe trade some of my newfound cash for a more obedient girl.”
“Christ.”
“Bring everyone along to the party, or the next time you see the girl will be in court.”
“It’s your funeral,” Ted muttered. “Fine. I’ll see you in about… three hours.”
“See you then.”
Sam hung up the phone and looked at Kat. Her eyes gleamed with unshed tears.
“Kat…” he said, knowing he had no wise words of comfort. They were walking into almost certain danger, flirting with death.
“I need to say something to you, in case we…” she stopped, then gulped. “In case we don’t make it out of this alive.”
“Don’t say that.”
“Well, it’s true. We’re walking right into the wolf’s den. No sense denying it,” she said, her voice wavering on the last word. “I just want to say that… I want you to know how happy you’ve made me, not just the last few days but ever since I woke up in your house.”
He gave her a wry smile. “You didn’t seem particularly happy with me then.”
“I mean it, Sam. You’ve showed me that there is something better in this world than Ted’s anger and black moods. I can’t really tell you how much that means to me.”
Sam looked at, his eyes flashing blue.
