“I’m falling, Stuart. If you’re not there with me, you should probably say something before I make a fool of myself,” Kreed confessed.

Aaron’s pulse jumped at Kreed’s words. He lifted his hands to Kreed’s face and continued to stare deeply in those beautiful eyes he couldn’t resist. Absolutely he was falling. Hell, he had already tumbled head over heels.

He didn’t know when it had happened. Despite his best efforts to avoid it—to keep it purely physical and temporary—he’d let Kreed in and there was no denying that to himself any longer. Man, he wanted to say it, especially right then. Kreed had made this night so special; no one had ever done anything like this for him. He had been wined and dined. Kreed ordered just about everything on the menu because he knew Aaron liked food. Then came the dancing… Damn, the dancing was hot. Kreed made him feel wanted and they connected in a way he’d never connected with another person. He could sway on this dancefloor with this man forever. Aaron swallowed hard.

For the first time in his life, he wished he was just a guy that worked for the NSA. When he’d made the decision to do what he did, he hadn’t understood how much he would truly have to give up. He hated the fact that he couldn’t ever be completely honest with Kreed. Lying to this man ate at him every day, and that feeling only intensified as he got to know more of him and wished he could be so much more for Kreed.

“You’re intoxicated,” Aaron finally answered. Kreed glanced down to Aaron’s mouth as he said the words.

“You’re intoxicating,” Kreed whispered before taking his lips.

He opened for Kreed, and tilted his head to deepen the kiss. The kiss was the most intense of his life, so intimate and raw. Kreed made love to him through that kiss, and Aaron could only wrap himself tighter around Kreed and try to hang on as the emotions he tried to deny wrenched his heart wide open.

When Kreed broke away and pulled back, he captured Aaron’s eyes again with his penetrating gaze. Aaron had no trouble spotting Kreed’s intuitive side in that look as the deputy marshal kept trying to read him. Aaron should have learned by now he couldn’t hide behind words with Kreed; the man was too savvy.

“I’ll give you more time, but you need to be honest with me. Every day I’m falling a little deeper. We’re close to no turning back. You need to stop what’s happening and spare me from the hurt later on if you’re not feeling it now.”

No question, Kreed had been good to him—so willing to explore the depths of their attraction, never hiding behind the pain of the past. He was more open than any person he’d ever met. Even now, when he was certain to be hurt if Aaron pulled away, Kreed was willing to give him time to explore his feelings. The honesty and goodness this man shared with him gave Aaron a rare moment of certainty, and he spoke from the heart.

“I’m caught up in you, Sin, but I can’t see how any of this can continue past this week. Life’s gonna complicate this. I’m gonna complicate this.”

“You’re putting the cart before the horse. Right now is all I’m asking for. It’s enough to know you’re experiencing this with me. We’ll cross that other bridge when it’s time,” Kreed spoke softly, his gaze dropping to Aaron’s lips. “I’m so fucking addicted to your mouth.”

Aaron lifted his lips for a kiss and slid his lids closed as Kreed met him halfway. Aaron threaded his fingers in Kreed’s short hair, trying to press as much of himself against Kreed as he could. Swept away, Aaron deepened the kiss, but Kreed cut him off, placing both hands on his face to create distance. That commanding and deeply intense look settled back in Kreed’s eyes. What was he trying to figure out now?

Seconds later, Kreed had Aaron by the hand, dragging him off the dancefloor and down the dark hallway of the club. In the background, the odor of stale smoke, booze, and arousal hung heavily in the dark corridor.

“You get me so fucking hard.” Kreed shoved him against the wall, buried his face in Aaron’s neck, and sucked at his skin. A hard powerful body anchored him to the chipping plaster, strength and muscle held him in place. The way Kreed pinned him didn’t give him any choice but to submit to Kreed’s demands. The deputy’s mouth brushed against his neck, alternating between sweet kisses and heated licks. Aaron’s dick jerked at the sting of Kreed’s teeth sinking into his flesh. Oh, fucking hell!

“Sin…” Aaron dropped his head against the wall, giving Kreed full access to his neck, and dug his fingers into that firm ass. Kreed pushed a knee between his thighs, and he widened his stance. Eager hands skimmed his sides then gripped his cock roughly through his pants. Fingers pressed against his dick then slid to his hip and around to cup his ass.

Aaron smiled into Kreed’s hair when the deputy tensed the moment his hands finally discovered Aaron hadn’t worn any underwear.

“You fucker,” Kreed said against his neck. Aaron chuckled and nuzzled in closer. Kreed’s scent engulfed him, made him shudder and go weak in the knees. The smell of leather, cinnamon, and cloves permeated the air around him. Kreed kept him on his feet with that big muscular body anchoring him to the wall.

“Thought you might like it.” Aaron pressed his groin into Kreed’s hand and twisted his hips, searching for more friction. Anyone could walk down the hall and see them, but he didn’t give a fuck. It only added to the intensity of the moment. Kreed pressed a palm hard against him and Aaron’s hips arched into the touch on their own accord.

  “You have no idea.”

Kreed’s low, husky voice caressed his skin. The pressure of Kreed’s palm grew stronger, his strokes steadily rougher. Electricity rushed through his veins and charged through his groin. He tipped his head back and looked into Kreed’s dark eyes.

“Make me come, Sin.” He ground his hips against Kreed’s palm as Kreed’s mouth once again devoured his.

“Fuck yeah, sweetheart.” Kreed’s lips brushed against the corner of his mouth. Aaron heard the distinct hiss of a zipper, but it wasn’t his. He ran his hands down Kreed’s body, smiling when he realized where this was headed.

Impatient fingers fumbled with the buttons on his pants, so Aaron pressed against his lover’s hand, hoping that would help Kreed get them undone faster. Aaron pushed his hand inside Kreed’s underwear, palming Kreed’s erection and squeezed before drawing his hand up and down its length, making Kreed groan.

Kreed worked his pants down his hips just enough to gain the access he wanted.

Cool air hit his dick right before warm rough fingers wrapped around him. His hips immediately thrust forward, driving his cock deeper into Kreed’s tightened fist.

“Mmm…you’re leaking. So fucking hot.” Kreed’s thumb slid over his cockhead and spread the pre-come across the crown, his finger dipping into the slit with every pass. Hot need coursed through Aaron’s veins as they stroked each other in the corner of a darkened hallway.

Kreed let go of him, spit in his hand, then angled his hips. Their cocks rubbed together as Kreed took them both in hand and began to stroke. The friction of Kreed’s cock and fist sliding against him sent a “hello” and “hell yeah” straight to his balls.

Kreed greedily took his mouth again, tongue sliding against tongue, lips pressing against lips, as he rocked into Kreed’s fist. The sweet constant pressure on his dick had his hips stuttering, searching for the right rhythm. He held Kreed’s head in his hands, his fingers lost in his hair as he desperately tried to draw the man closer. Kreed’s tongue dipped in and out of his mouth in time with the delicious strokes on his cock.

“Looking for a third? I’ll suck both your cocks.”

Aaron’s eyes flew open. He’d been so into the hand job that he’d forgotten about being in the hallway of a gay club. He had no idea how long the guy had been standing there, stroking his own cock and leering at them. Kreed pressed a kiss to the side of Aaron’s mouth, using his body to shield the continuing motion of his hand.

“You need to keep moving. We’re not interested. You hear me?” Kreed’s voice took on a deep growl as he spoke against Aaron’s lips, neve
r turning to look at the guy or slowing the strokes of his fist.

“Loud and clear. You didn’t have to go all caveman,” the guy said and continued to stroke himself as he walked away.

“Mmm…staking your claim, Deputy Marshal?” Aaron’s body tightened at how possessively Kreed’s body molded around him. Surprised at how turned on he’d become at the thought of the deputy going all caveman on him. But that kind of taking would have to wait till they got home. Aaron slid a hand between their bodies to join Kreed’s, whose lips pressed against his ear.

“I’m fucking you when we get home. Claiming what’s mine.” Kreed’s growled words sped up Aaron’s hips and drew up his balls. The fire started at the base of his spine and flamed up, sending liquid heat coursing through his veins.

“Yesss…Sin.” His orgasm engulfed him so quickly he almost doubled over from the force of his release. Kreed sank his teeth into Aaron’s neck as they both came, hot come mixing on their slowing fists. Kreed pressed his forehead against Aaron’s as their ragged breathing calmed.

“You having any regrets over getting a hand job in a gay club?”

“No fucking way. Not even a little. That was hot as hell. I do have one problem, though. My hand is covered in spunk.” Aaron lifted his hand, not really sure what he should do with it.

Kreed turned to look at his hand and laughed. “Yeah, it was hot. But nothing compared to what I’ve got planned for you at home, church boy. Good thing the bathroom is around the corner. Come on. Let’s get cleaned up and go home.” Kreed kissed his forehead, then his nose, before capturing his mouth in a slow, sweet kiss.

  Chapter 30

Happiness filtered through Kreed on a cosmic level, something he hadn’t experienced in a very long time, maybe made a little bit better because Aaron hadn’t flat out told him to fuck off when he’d laid his heart on the line. Without question, Kreed could sense Aaron was holding back; he just couldn’t figure out why, and for some reason, that wasn’t limiting how deeply Kreed’s connection developed. The sorrow he’d experienced over the last few months about his brother had really done a number on him. Kreed flipped on the master bathroom lights while working to free the buttons of his dress shirt. Thoughts of his brother threatened to squash his good mood.

“You’re really gonna share? I feel pretty special,” Aaron joked, coming in behind him. Strong insistent arms wrapped around Kreed’s waist, halting the process of removing his shirt. It was remarkable how quickly Aaron zapped the funky mood he was developing.

“You’re pretty special. I might even get you hooked. You might have to start sending Lush products along with your computer equipment everywhere you go.”

Kreed chuckled, turning in Aaron’s arms in order to peel off his shirt. “You know, I’m not sure I realized how happy you are after you come.”

Aaron tilted that smiling face up, making it easy to lean forward and softly kiss those perfect lips. “You make me do things I wouldn’t normally do.”

“I like watching you do things you wouldn’t normally do, but I doubt you wouldn’t normally do them. I just think you let me think it’s my idea.” Kreed tugged free of his hold, going for the drawer that held all his spa products. He’d gotten shit for years from Knox over this stuff; he’d grown accustom to guys thinking it was weird. But he was certain, if they’d ever tried it, he’d have to fist-fight over his stash.

The old tub looked roomie for a bathtub made in the seventies. As he reached for the faucet, he dropped the plug in the drain and turned the water on. The thing had jets. There was a switch for those, and he flipped it on briefly, listening to see if the motor turned on. Score! Who would have thought they would still work after all this time?

He turned them off, waiting until the tub filled. Kreed reached for his belt buckle, but stopped as he spotted Aaron tugging off his clothes. It was becoming one of his favorite things to watch his guy undress. Kreed’s eyes fixed on Aaron as he pushed down his jeans. He knew Aaron was commando from the earlier hand job at the club. His church boy hadn’t bothered to wear any underwear on their date. He smiled. Aaron was full of little surprises, and damn if that shit didn’t turn him the fuck on.

Wet dreams weren’t as good as Aaron Stuart. His long torso, perfect ass, and strong muscular legs made Kreed want to run his hands up and down all that beautiful, naked flesh.

If it were up to him, he’d have his guy naked all the time. But that was all in due time. He would have that and more someday with Aaron, because he wasn’t going to easily let him go. There were obstacles to that dream, but he just had to figure out the barriers Aaron kept placing between them and remove them one by one.

Those decisions were made, and his heart clung to the hope they presented. He liked the contentment and hope Aaron offered, and it had been far too long since he’d experienced either one of those emotions. Now it was time to up his game and make Aaron realize they could get through anything, as long as they were together.

Aaron tossed his clothes aside, looking over the things Kreed pulled out of the drawer.

“Which are we using?” Aaron asked, moving the condoms he had in his hand to the bathtub. “Do they smell good. Is that it?”

“They smell amazing and make your skin feel fantastic. Some of the scents relax you, things like that.”

  “Like aromatherapy?”

“Pretty much.” Kreed laughed at Aaron’s need to understand all the angles of the brilliance of these bath products. Lush wasn’t meant to be understood; it was meant to be enjoyed. Tossing his clothes on top of Aaron’s, Kreed lowered his foot into the water to test the temperature. He pulled his foot back quickly and adjusted the knobs to cool things off a little then went for the spice bomb—hell, anything named bomb surely was meant for a guy. He dropped it inside and watched it begin to fizzle. The scent of cinnamon and cloves instantly filled the entire room.

“You’re hot,” Aaron commented, coming to stand beside the tub as they watched the thing bubble apart. “Your body’s incredible, and I haven’t seen you work out.”

Kreed tested the water again, turned the faucet off, and stepped inside. It was hot, and like always, immediately began to soothe him. He lowered himself, reaching for Aaron’s hand and tugged.

“I’m gonna crowd you,” Aaron said, resisting a little.

“Good. That’s the plan,” Kreed encouraged again, pulling a little harder this time. Aaron stepped in, shuffling around a little until Kreed reached up and guided him down.

“I don’t take baths—and never with someone else,” Aaron said, moving awkwardly.

“Stick with me, church boy, and we’ll change that. I love taking baths. I do it all the time, especially after a hard workout. I’d rather sit in here than a sauna any day.” Kreed coaxed Aaron back, spreading his thighs wide, lifting his knees, helping Aaron get comfortable until his back rested against Kreed’s chest, that silky, dark head now close enough for him to kiss. So he did. “See? It feels incredible.”

“Am I hurting you?” Aaron asked. Kreed barked out a laugh at that one.

“Of course not,” he said, pushing water up Aaron’s chest. “Your skin’s gonna be soft when we get out.”

Kreed trailed small kisses along Aaron’s neck, lapping at the drops of water on his skin, but his guy was still tense. “What’s wrong? You need to relax.”

“I’m worried I’m squishing you,” Aaron said, and Kreed grinned as he ran his nose through those silky strands. He liked Aaron worrying about him. Proved he cared.

“You’ll never squish me. In fact, I love the feeling of your weight against me,” Kreed said and lifted his hands to rub Aaron’s shoulders. “Relax. It’s supposed to be soothing, remember?”

“Talk to me,” Aaron said and started to relax against him.

“About what?” He slid his hands along Aaron’s shoulders, down to his chest, stopping to tease the small metal ring in his nipple.

Aaron inhaled sharply. “Stop trying to distract me. Tell me about your l
ife.” Aaron leaned his head back on Kreed’s shoulder.

The request confused him, and he narrowed his eyes and tilted his head to get a closer look at Aaron. The kid’s eyes were closed, but he opened them and gave a sideways glance in Kreed’s direction.

“You’re fascinating. Sue me for being curious.”

That earned Aaron points right there. Very nice comment. He liked knowing Aaron was into him enough to want to know more.

“Let’s see. I don’t really know where to start. No one’s ever asked me that question before.” He sat back against the tub to think, his hands manipulating Aaron’s strong shoulders again.

“What kind of kid were you?” Aaron lightly brushed his fingertips up and down Kreed’s thighs.

“Normal, I guess.” Kreed continued to rub Aaron’s shoulders, moving down to his upper arms, then back up again, losing himself in the question. He hadn’t thought about his childhood in more years than he could remember.

“Let’s see. Well, I was an only child for most of my formative years. My brother didn’t come along until I was starting my teens. So I guess the best way to describe my childhood was that I was bad when I was little. My mom was kind of a pushover. I’d get in trouble, but she’d let me off the hook. Then I was the definition of bad when I was a teenager because they weren’t paying any attention to me after they had Derek. They tried for a long time to get that boy.” The thoughts of his brother caused a dark void that he wasn’t strong enough to face right now, so he quickly changed the subject. “What was your life like?”

“No, we’re not changing the subject. Bad, like how?” The conversation seemed to loosen Aaron up, or at least redirect his thoughts, because he rolled over in the water, Aaron’s chest now pressed to his. Kreed looked down at Aaron’s upturned face, then bent in to kiss his full lips.

“Like bad enough that it was go into the military or one of those six-month boot camps. I chose the military,” Kreed answered. When Aaron stayed silent, Kreed figured he wanted more of that story. Since he wasn’t too proud of that time in his life, he didn’t want to rehash the events. “I wasn’t always comfortable being gay. Or wait, it wasn’t necessarily that back then. I didn’t understand it. I wasn’t exposed to too many homosexuals in my life. I didn’t get why I was so focused on cocks while my buddies kept talking about all the girls they were hittin’. I acted out some. Did you ever go through that?” Kreed asked.
