Let Me Be Your Truth (Music and Letters Series Book 3)

‘Have you seen what the girls have given me?’ Kate said. Sometimes, when I looked at her, she shocked me with her beauty, and I would have to take a second to remember where and who I was. ‘It’s a travel journal. How amazing is that?’ She smiled but I knew she was already on the verge of tears.
‘Mate, you know you’re going to end up carting that around in your backpack, don’t you?’ Jamie laughed as he patted me on the back.
‘If I were you, I’d conveniently leave it on the plane,’ Ben smiled.
We’d made friends pretty quickly. I think Abi and Elle made sure of it. Jamie was funny and laid back. He’d been through significant bereavements, so I found myself able to talk to him. He had this calming influence and just accepted people despite their mistakes. I’d seen him at the centre a few times. I had suspected that he was having counselling with Ruth. He was a mystery to me then. I never got my head around the man that would turn up in a sharp suit one week, and then a vintage Back To the Future T-shirt the next.
I was shocked beyond words when Ben set up a website for me, making it another stream of income to help fund our travels. My paintings were selling, and that felt fucking amazing.
She had brought so much good into my life. Good that had never been there before. She had started to suck out every bit of anger and rage that I had at the world with every breath that she took. Just watching her paint relaxed me. She would often paint quietly as I sat and sketched her in the corner of her room. This led to her preference for painting naked, which, in turn, led to my preference of fucking her as she bent over and clung onto an easel. Art had never looked so good. We fitted perfectly together. She always said that we were meant to be. I fucking believed that.
We continued experimenting sexually, and she matched my appetite perfectly. I grew more obsessed with pleasing her. She would do subtle things to turn me on, repeating please as I fucked her from behind and thank you as she came down from her orgasm. She was so fucking hot; it made me want to go faster, thrust harder and come so quickly I’d barely even started.
Kate ripping an orgasm from me, loving me and holding me until I slept, made me look at the world and the people in it with different eyes. I finally felt happy and was settling into that feeling. I let things drop. I picked my arguments. I started to sleep uninterrupted through the night for the first time in…well, for the first time ever, and I even fucking smiled at strangers because I just couldn’t hide the way she made me feel. Kate would always say that it was me who changed her, but I know that it was her who changed me. She taught me that sometimes it’s more important to smile than to shout.
With Ruth’s help, we talked about our past. I was able to identify the pieces of my childhood with Darren Mitchell that were positive, and it felt amazing that I could give that to her knowing that she would never meet the man herself.
‘Look after my baby,’ Kate’s mum said as she pulled me in for a hug. I had been welcomed into their family no questions asked, even after treating their daughter so poorly over something that ultimately she had no control over.
‘I promise I’ll bring her back to you in one piece,’ I smiled.
‘You’d better or you’ll have me to answer to,’ Abi said as she strutted over. I wouldn’t want to get on the wrong side of her, Jesus; she was the only woman that fucking frightened me.
‘Promise me you’ll be back for the wedding,’ Elle said as they had another group hug.
‘I wouldn’t miss it for the world,’ Kate replied.
I couldn’t help but smile. My life had changed drastically over the last few months. I didn’t have the best experience of a blood family, but these people were beginning to feel like home.
Kate took Gem’s hand and pulled her in. ‘I hope your date with Josh goes well.’
‘What date?’ Gem replied.
‘Exactly. You need to meet him and stop pretending that you can have a relationship through the internet. Don’t be scared to trust him.’
‘I will. I promise,’ Gem replied.
‘Make sure you email me. I want to know everything.’
‘You’ll be the first to know,’ Gem smiled.
‘It’s time,’ Kate said as she wrapped her body around me. Fuck, I couldn’t get enough of her. I took her hand and smiled as a wave of fucking euphoria passed through me.
My love. My life.
I never thought this would happen to me, but if I could offer a piece of advice about finding love and letting it blow apart everything you know about yourself, I would say this: The best kind of love is the kind you don’t see coming, the kind that astonishes you every day. The kind that makes you question without restriction and rolls around inside of you until you just can’t fucking ignore it anymore. Hold onto love that pushes you to be a better kind of you with no boundaries. Live every day like it would be your last so that you have to squeeze every drop out of it because it would be a fucking tragedy if you didn’t.
‘In case I forget to tell you later,’ I whispered into her ear. ‘You’re magnificent. You’re beautiful. You light up my life in the best way. Not a torch on a mobile phone kind of way but a fucking stadium glare kind of way.’ She smiled, and I had to catch my breath. ‘You look amazing when I watch you in the mirror as you’re riding the fuck out of me.’
She gasped innocently. ‘You watch?’
Innocent, my arse.
‘Fuck, yes,’ I smiled. ‘I always watch.’
‘This is going to be a long plane ride,’ she groaned.
‘You ever heard of the mile high club?’
‘You’re going to get me arrested.’
Despite her words, I knew we’d be in that fucking club within the first thirty minutes.
‘Anyway, back to what I was saying just in case I forget to tell you later. You’re talented. You’re gorgeous. You’re the sexiest woman I’ve ever seen. You’re caring. You love the guys at the centre even when they’re at their worst, but most of all, you look fucking cute when I tell you all that…’
‘You give me kidney shivers,’ she smiled as she kissed my cheek, avoiding unleashing our full passion for each other in front of our friends.
‘I’m so glad you’re coming with me,’ I said as my hand rested on her arse. Fuck, she had a great arse.
‘Where else would I be?’ she smiled. ‘We’re in this together, Danny Benedichi. Always have been. Always will be.’

Let Me Be Your First:
The Music and Letters Series: Book 1
Elle Davis is a hopeless romantic, an epic daydreamer, and best friend to party girl Abi. Oh, and she’s also a twenty-three-year-old virgin. She has always dreamed of love at first sight and the fairy-tale ending; however, as the burden of her virginity increases, so does her sexual curiosity…
In her mission to find Mr Right, Elle inevitably stumbles across Mr Wrong. Following a chance encounter with a colleague, she decides to take the first steps…
Luke Simms is funny, sexy and cocksure with as much baggage as the lost luggage department at Heathrow airport. He doesn’t do commitment, but he does offer Elle the experience she craves.
Ben Newman is romantic, witty and drop-dead gorgeous. He is also chasing the fairy tale. But after a string of dating disasters, he’s ready to give up on the dream and end the search.
Find out if Elle saves Luke Simms from his mission of self-destruct, or if she ends Ben Newman’s search for his fairy tale…
This novel contains strong language, particularly from a senior citizen who is old enough to know better, and a wild girl who frankly doesn’t give a f**k. There are also descriptions of sex, therefore this novel is only suitable for 18+
This is the first book in the Music and Letters series but can be read as a standalone.

The Music and Letters Series: Book 2
Abi Sinclair is a determined social worker and committed party girl. She’s independent, ballsy and living the single girls’ dream. But underneath the bravado and empty one-night stands, she’s hiding a broken heart…
Jamie Dawson is Abi’s lost love, the only man who ever made her feel alive. When he left Nottingham two years ago to take care of his terminally ill mother, they agreed to communicate only by letter, both believing their love was meant to be.
One regrettable lie forced them down very different paths.
One rash decision forced them apart.
But Jamie is back. And he’s Abi’s new manager. Only he’s a different man—too different.
Desperate for answers, Abi won’t stop until she uncovers the truth behind Jamie’s two-year absence…
This novel contains strong language, mainly from Abi. She can’t help it. Jamie is guilty too, particularly when passion gets the better of him.
There are also descriptions of sex, therefore this novel is only suitable for 18+
This is the second book in the Music and Letters series but can be read as a standalone.
