He slanted his mouth over hers and she sighed. He kissed her with such utter abandon. Mia was delirious with pleasure. She returned his kiss, her tongue curling around his. It was carnal and savage. With every torrid thrust of his tongue, he whittled down her defenses. Her lips felt bruised from the wild invasion. He kissed her with his entire being; with his body, with his hands, and his mouth that claimed her, showing her with more than words that she could trust him as he dominated her entire being.

Mia had worried she wouldn’t like bondage, that his dominance made him too much male for her to handle. When the truth was, from the moment she’d almost run him over, he called to a part of her she’d always been terrified to acknowledge. One who flung caution to the wind, who loved madly and passionately, who gave every part of herself to another and joined in the wild abandon of the ecstasy they chased together.

When Cole finally lifted his head, his breathing ragged as he stared at her, Mia trembled at what she found in his eyes.

And then he proceeded to explore her body as if it was his own personal playground—with his mouth. He left no part of her untouched. He kissed the undersides of her breasts, the smooth valley in between. He kneaded the mounds with his hands, the callouses scraping deliciously against her flesh. He plucked at her nipple, rolling the tip between thumb and forefinger before enveloping the swollen bud in his mouth, sucking, and nipping at the peak until she was a panting, writhing mass of need.

She arched her back as much as the belt would allow, trying to feed him more of the mound. But then he switched to her other breast, lavishing it with the same attention.

Then he was moving, his mouth biting at her belly, at her hipbones, swirling his tongue in her belly button. But he avoided her pussy completely. He knelt back on his heels, his cock jutting proudly, teasing her with what she wanted most, then proceeded to give her legs the same treatment. He kissed her ankles and tongued her toes. Tasted her calves and behind her knees.

By the time his mouth ventured to her inner thighs, Mia was quaking with the sheer force of her desire. Passion enflamed her body almost to the point of pain. Then his mouth hovered over her pussy. At his salacious, lustful glare, her belly quivered and her sex throbbed. She’d never had a man look at her with such unadulterated lust before. Gripping her hips, holding her prisoner, not allowing her the tiniest movement, Cole lowered his mouth to her sensitive flesh.

The first swipe of his tongue flicked over her clit and Mia’s mouth dropped open. Pleasure rippled and undulated through her body. Cole all but fastened his mouth to her pussy, his beard adding to the eroticism, scraping her delicate skin. His tongue danced over her flesh, swirling around her clit, flicking the swollen nub.

She mewled when he thrust his tongue inside her passage, plunging and retreating, mimicking what his cock would do. Mia lost herself in the pleasure. The safety ledge she’d been holding onto, she simply let go, trusting that Cole would be there to catch her.

He ate her like she was a delicacy that he had been denied too long. He relished her pussy, lapping at her. The climax hit her so suddenly, so forcefully, her back arched at the cascading bliss.

“Oh my god,” she wailed, a quaking, quivering mess. She needed him inside her, fucking her senseless once more.

But he didn’t relent or retreat, his tongue lashing against her pussy. Not that she’d thought he would, because he was a man of his word and if he promised to discover how many times he could make her climax, he meant it. With his tongue and teeth, he took her body up pleasured peak after pleasured peak until her pussy lips were swollen and her clit so distended, a simple touch flung her off another pleasured precipice. She lost count of how many times she climaxed.

When he finally lifted his head from between her thighs, his black beard was coated with her cream. His eyes were dark with hunger and need as he rose and positioned his body between her thighs. On his knees, he ran his cock through her swollen labia lips. Her hips rocked and she moaned.

“Please,” she whimpered, not caring that she was begging, only knowing that if he didn’t fuck her, right here, and right now, she would lose her mind.

His voice was a rough growl. “Please what?”

She searched her brain, trying to think through the haze of pleasure. “Please, Sir. Please fuck me,” she wailed.

Cole slammed his cock inside her clasping channel until his balls slapped against her ass. Mia exploded. Her orgasm gripped her. Her pussy clenched and shuddered around his shaft. He waited, gritting his teeth, until her climax subsided. Only then did he begin to move, shuttling his dick in and out of her clasping heat. He held himself up on his arms, the muscles in his chest bunching and flexing as he pounded his cock into her dripping pussy.

She met his thrusts with her own, her legs wrapped around his hips. A haze settled over her. She had never known a hunger and desire like this before. It was brutal and raw. She strained against the belt as she rocked her hips, meeting his pounding strokes that stole the breath from her lungs. Over and over, they came together.

Sweat slicked their bodies. Cole angled her legs up over his broad shoulders and if anything, their lovemaking became more savage. It was animalistic. Their gazes were transfixed on the other as he hammered himself inside her quaking sheath.

The climax struck Mia’s body like a meteor striking Earth. It was devastating, rending the fabric of her being in two at the force of ecstasy slamming through her body.

  She screamed. “Cole.”

Bright starbursts exploded behind her eyelids.

“Ahhh, Mia.” He strained, his cock plunging and jolting in her pussy. His hot seed flooded her cunt. They rocked together, extending the pleasure until the last shudder, the final expulsion of passion emptied from their bodies.

Cole buried his face in her neck. His big body pressed her into the mattress. Their breathing was ragged. Mia floated in a haze of pleasure so profound, her bones were limp piles of goo. She didn’t think she could move for days. But Cole shifted, first lowering her legs from their perch against his shoulders, then undoing the belt around her wrists, bringing her arms down. He was nestled between her thighs, still semi-hard inside her, but she adored the feel of his hard, sweat slicked form against her and wasn’t ready to let him go.

And when his gaze met hers, Mia’s heart tumbled over the ledge.

  Chapter 17

Mia gasped and her eyes snapped open. Cole’s thick cock penetrated her and she couldn’t stop the moan. Her body was on fire as he stroked lazily in and out. Her back was snug up against his chest. One of his big hands palmed her breast while the other teased her clit in tandem with his measured strokes.

She shifted her face, his beard scraped against her neck and tingles erupted, adding to the heady intoxication of his lovemaking.

  “Cole,” she moaned.

“Morning, city girl.” His voice was gruff. “I thought I told you that you were to call me Sir.”

The hand teasing her clit shifted and slapped her pussy. The sharp sting vibrated through her sex. Her sheath clenched around his plunging shaft. And pleasure unlike anything she’d felt flooded her.

He stilled behind her. “You liked that?”

  “Yes, Sir.”

He did it again and she moaned. Mia never thought she’d enjoy pain with sex but when Cole slapped her pussy once more, feeling the way her flesh swelled and throbbed as his shaft pumped inside her, she figured she might have to rethink her stance—once he wasn’t fucking her brains right out of her head. She was on fire, her body turning to ash.

He growled. “Fuck, Mia. The way your pussy squeezes my cock each time makes me think you’d love to be disciplined.”

Her pussy spasmed. She was beginning to wonder the same thing. If any other man had tried or done what Cole had, she’d be spitting mad and immediately put an end to their bedroom activities. But Cole made her want things, a chance to explore all the things she’d previously considered taboo or too much for her to handle. She’d thought t
he same thing about Cole and she not only survived but was on cloud nine.

Although, right this second, if the man didn’t pick up the pace a bit, she might do him bodily harm.

  “Cole, please, Sir,” she begged.

He swatted her labia again. “Not just yet, city girl. This is what it means to be submissive. Let go of your need to control and I will take you where you want to go. That’s part of what trusting me is all about.”

Mia struggled. She was desperate for release. Cole didn’t relent, didn’t stop, didn’t increase his pace, just continued shuttling his shaft in the same steady rhythm that was driving her to the brink of insanity.

He tilted her head back, his gaze intense, searching hers. “Just let go. Stop fighting it and me.”

And then he brushed his lips over hers, the light caress rocketing through her system. That’s when she realized she wasn’t fighting him, she was fighting herself. Because with every earth-rending stroke and heated caress, she was terrified that he mattered, that she needed him to be her light against the dark. She wasn’t strong, she wasn’t brave, and should he not feel the same way, her heart would shatter. And somehow for her, by giving him her full surrender, she was giving him a part of herself that she’d never given another. She had always kept herself apart from people on purpose.

But Cole made her want more.

At the next swat against her labia, pleasure coalesced in a bright kaleidoscope. Her body felt enflamed.

“Put your hands over mine.” Cole growled his command.

As if their lovemaking could get any more sinful and erotic. She laid her hands over his and shivered. His fingers played with her clit, and with her hand over his, it was as if they were fingering her together. She moaned and writhed against his fingertips. She felt it all as the sinews and muscles flexed and bunched. His strength was an aphrodisiac. His control, the way he seemed to know precisely how to manipulate her body into a pleasured frenzy and keep her there, sent her desire soaring to new heights.

Each time her body neared the point of no return, he backed off and slowed his flickered strokes against her nub and deep thrusts of his cock that grazed her cervix. From this angle, his cock rubbed that one spot inside her channel that lit up her entire body like a fourth of July fireworks display. Mia was gripping his hands, past the point of reason, and her body slipped into a haze where nothing else mattered but the ecstasy found in Cole’s arms. Her limbs were dissolving into a throbbing, aching mass of need.

“Cole, Sir, please,” she wailed, unable to hold on any longer.

At the subtle shift in her body, he grunted, his breathing ragged in her ear. But it had the desired effect. He thrust hard and brutally. His shaft pounded her pussy with a fury that had her mouth open on one seemingly endless moan.

He hammered his shaft in fast brutal digs. Her sheath clenched around him. The burning edges of her climax singed her. Mia keened, her eyes closed, her mouth open. She rested her head against him as she strained in his arms, wishing she could move as he pistoned his hips.

Cole slapped her pussy, striking her clitoris. It had the effect of a grenade to her system.

“Sir,” she wailed, her body imploding. She quaked with the force, her pussy spasming.

Cole thrust, his cock lengthened and jerked, and she was being filled with his hot semen.

“Ahhh,” he growled, his cock slamming inside her buttery folds, setting off another round of tremors as he came.

His hips moved, his thrusts slowing until every tremor had ceased between them. His face was buried against her neck. His arms held her close. Mia sighed, limp and sated. He was a force of nature. Much like the snow storm that had battered them yesterday, he was wild and untamed and, for a moment, this moment, all hers.

He lifted his face from the crook of her neck and she shifted, glancing at him. The dark strands of his shoulder-length hair were tousled, with a few strands falling forward. She caressed his bearded cheek. The short hair bristled against her palm. His black gaze was filled with satisfaction and something more, something deeper she was afraid to look at. Instead of delving deeper, she enjoyed his heated stare and felt her toes curl.

He lowered his face. His warm breath fanned over her and she met him halfway. His lips claimed hers, brushing against her mouth, his beard pricking her skin. They lingered over the kiss. It was unhurried and deep, as stirring as Cole’s lovemaking. But the way he kissed her, with his entire being—she knew she’d never been kissed or made love to quite so thoroughly.

He lifted his head and said, “We should get some breakfast.” At the face she made, he asked, “You don’t like breakfast?”

“No, I love breakfast. It’s the thought of having to hike down the mountain in the cold I’m not looking forward to,” she said.

“We won’t be going down today,” he said, finally withdrawing from her and the bed. He stood and pulled on a pair of sweats.

  “We won’t?”

“Nope. It’s still coming down. Granted, not as fast and furious as it was last night, but still.”

  “What? It’s still snowing?”

“Take a look for yourself.” He gestured to the small bank of windows in the kitchen. And, sure enough, white flakes danced and swirled through the air.

He tossed her the shirt she’d worn yesterday. She slid it on before climbing out of bed. He ambled over to the fireplace and re-stoked the fire. The cabin was chilly, but not terribly so. The fire would warm things up considerably.

Mia headed into the kitchen and started the coffeemaker, then began pulling ingredients out of the fridge for omelets. She found some bell peppers and mushrooms to add. That way, at least, they’d get some veggies. She just wished there was some fresh fruit, then remembered she had packed some apples in her backpack.

She knelt at her backpack and pulled out the two apples. She also grabbed her two prescriptions. She was just glad she’d thought to bring them with her. Too bad she hadn’t packed an extra pair of panties. Not that she would need them.

Cole padded into the kitchen as she was taking her medicine.

  “Are you ill?”

“No, just my birth control and anxiety meds. No big deal,” she said, trying to play it off like it didn’t matter. She started some frozen hash browns in a skillet.

“What do you need anxiety medicine for?” Cole asked quietly.

“Because I have severe anxiety. Always have, in fact. I’ve been on medicine for it for most of my life.”

While the hash browns were sizzling in the pan, she chopped the veggies, then began cracking eggs into a bowls.

  “When did it start?”

“After my parents died, when I was five. One day they were there, and the next they were gone. And for years afterward, I had night terrors and other abandonment issues. My Aunt Alice did so much for me, but the night terrors, they were beyond her. I even had an episode at school in fourth grade.”

Cole turned her toward him, his hand cupping her chin. “Tell me.”

“Can I do it while I cook?”

  “What?”

“It’s just easier for me that way—if my hands have something to do.”

He lifted his hands and backed away. “If that’s what you need.”

She ignored his eyes because, frankly, she didn’t want to see the pity in them. “Anyway, like I said, I had an episode in fourth grade. I’d fallen asleep during a test and ended up having a night terror at school. As you can imagine, that didn’t go over too well with either my teacher or the kids in my class. I was taken to the principal’s office where they proceeded to call my aunt. The principal and guidance counselor none too gently recommended therapy and suggested a different school for me.”

She removed the hash browns from the skillet and placed them on a paper towel to drain the grease.

“What did your aunt do?” Cole asked, pulling plates and mugs from the cupboard.

While the omelets were sizzling in the pan, she sliced up one of the apples, then
started filling both the plates with the fried hash browns and apple slices.

“Aunt Alice was quite fierce. She berated the principal, guidance counselor and my teacher at the time. She pulled me out of that school and placed me in a private school. And took me to therapy.”

Mia placed the omelets on the plates. But Cole was there, helping her, and carried them over to the table. She had no choice but to follow him with mugs of coffee. Once their hands were empty, he drew her into his arms. She placed her forehead against his chest, inhaling his musky scent.

“Mia, look at me.” His voice was soft, but it held a hint of quiet demand.

She had no choice but to face him and see the pity and disappointment. Lifting her eyes, when their gazes met, she sucked in a breath, for what she found nearly brought her to her knees.

“You have nothing to be ashamed of, you know that, right?” Cole probed, his gaze searching hers.

“For the most part, yes, I do.” He couldn’t know what it meant to have him say that and mean it.

  “Do you have panic attacks?”

She winced. “Yes. They tend to be more prevalent when I’m under a lot of stress.”

“Or having trouble writing?” he asked. There was no pity in his gaze. Only warmth and sympathy that Mia wanted to sink into and never come out.

“Yes. It’s how I ended up here, to be honest,” she admitted.

  “Really? How’s that?”

“I had a severe attack, one of the worst ones I’d had in ages. Usually, once an attack is over, I’m exhausted and sleep for twelve hours straight. But not this time. It was like someone had doped my coffee with speed. In the fallout, I decided I needed to get away, yanked out a map, and chose this place.”

“Just like that?” he asked, the corners of his mouth tugging into a half grin.

  “Yep. I know, sounds crazy.”

“That’s not why I’m smiling, Mia. To have survived what you have and have the strength to pick yourself up, go somewhere you don’t know anyone and try something new… you’re one of the strongest people I’ve ever met. Life has tossed you grenades and somehow you’ve managed to toss them right back. I don’t think you’re crazy, I think you’re phenomenal.” He kissed her forehead and murmured, “Why don’t you have a seat and eat before it gets cold.”
