“Great. I’ll be back within the hour.” He winked and leaned in for a kiss.

His lips were soft and undemanding. There was no greedy need to take this time. He was, at least for the time being keeping his promise. She just wondered how long he’d be able to keep it up. And more importantly, she wondered how long she’d be able to resist him if he didn’t.

  3

J.T. hung up his phone just as he stepped off of the elevator. He’d quickly showered and called down to Chef Tracey after he’d left Sophia. The rut he’d felt stuck in, or whatever it was that had been bothering him was no longer on his mind. Running into her after all of these years hadn’t just been a treat to his libido, it put a spring back in his step as well.

He could have done without hearing that he'd scared her, but from what little he could tell of her, she did seem much more reserved than the usual women he was used to. Plus he wasn't foolish enough to not realize that most of those women were after him for his money which always made them much more agreeable to his proclivities.

Before he could knock the door opened and one of his waiter’s from room service was staring him square in the face.

  “Mr. Mastrantonio. Good evening, Sir.”

He nodded politely but didn't pay him much attention. His eyes were drawn across the room to Sophia. Her dark hair was pulled up in a ponytail and the dress he'd wanted to rip off of her just an hour before had now been replaced with a simple t-shirt and yoga pants.

She looked up at him with a gleam in her eye. “Lobster?”

“I hope that’s alright.” He stepped inside and closed the door.

“Alright? Yeah. I think I can suffer through it.” She laughed. “You really didn’t have to go to such extravagance.”

  “I didn’t.”

“Lobster tail, green bean almandine and roasted baby red potatoes? I don’t eat this good at home.”

  “It’s just dinner.”

He pulled her chair out from the small table that overlooked the city. Her view didn't overlook the harbor, but he still admired the scenery. It was one of the reasons he'd purchased this property and renovated it years ago. With its prime location along the waterfront and triangular architecture, there really isn't a bad outlook from any room. It was just another example of his keen eye and business sense that made him so successful. Business and investments were the furthest things from his mind though as he poured some wine in each of their glasses and sat across from her.

“I trust this will be to your liking?” He smiled while pouring from another bottle of the 2005 vintage that they’d had stored away.

“I guess my bartender friend has loose lips, huh?”

  “He means well.”

“Mmm.” She took a sip. “It is a good wine, though.”

“And a very unusual choice, I must say. Have you been to France?”

Having just taken a bite, Sophia wiped her mouth while a droplet of melted butter began to drip down her chin. Being the gentleman he promised her he’d be, he ignored the tightness in his pants and the urge to grab her by the wrist, throw her to the floor and lick it off.

“I wish. I’ve always wanted to go. I keep telling myself I’ll quit working so much someday and take a vacation, but…” she licked butter off of her fingertips. “You know how that can go.”

“Yes. Yes, I know what you mean.”

For the love of God. She’s killing me!

The way she was sucking the butter off of her finger was enough to make him forget his promise and pick up where he left off in the hallway.

“So…” J.T. forced himself to look away and take a drink of his wine, anything to keep his cock from responding to her full lips closing around her fingers the way that they were. “How did you find this wine then? It’s not sold many places stateside.”

“You seem to know a lot about wine. Are you a distributor or something?”

  “Or something,” He answered.

“Okay, that sounds very cloak and dagger. But, to answer your question, it was my mother's favorite wine. My father used to order it by the case for her. The year never much mattered, just the vineyard. After a while it just sort of stuck with me. Now I guess it's sort of habit.”

“You say he used to? Is he not around anymore?” J.T. asked, hoping he wasn’t intruding too much.

“Actually, neither of them are. Mom passed away about four years ago from cancer.”

  “Oh Sophia, I’m so sorry.”

“Yeah.” She nodded. “It was hard to see someone like her, someone so vibrant and full of life be completely debilitated by a disease like that. The irony of it was that she was big into charity work. She raised quite a bit of money over the years for cancer research and our local Children’s Hospital. After she passed Dad and I kept up her work for a while, but he died not too long after her. Massive heart attack about eight months to the day that she passed.”

“You lost both of your parents within a year of one another?”

His heart broke for her. He never had parents to call his own and he could never really relate to someone feeling that type of loss. Sitting across from her, though, he could see the anguish in her eyes. The pain was still very real to her. That much he was sure of.

“It was a rough year. A couple months after that I split with my fiancé too, so I guess you could say it was probably the worst year of my life.”

As he watched her casually eat while she told him her story he realized the timeline she’d just laid out to him.

“So wait, when we met a few years ago? Back in New York…how soon after all of that was…?”

“Within a couple of weeks of me calling off the wedding,” She answered matter-of-factly.

“Wow. That’s a lot to deal with in such a short time. I think maybe I understand why you took off on me.”

After taking a large drink from her glass, she held it out for him to fill it some more. With a sarcastic laugh, she replied. “No, trust me. You don't understand.”

He might’ve been annoyed at any other woman laughing at him in such a way, but as she ate and sipped at her wine he watched while her walls came down a little and it made it happy. It was a feeling that he wasn’t sure he was all entirely used to.

He loved women. All shapes, sizes, colors and everything they had to offer. There was something different about this woman that made this dinner feel like a date, and not the usual prerequisite to the end of the night fuck he was used to getting.

  “Okay. So try me.”

With a squint of her eye, he could tell she was considering it, wondering if she should be honest with him.

“Come on. What have you got to lose?”

  “My dignity.” She laughed.

It was clear to J.T. that this little brown eyed sexy tease that made his cock ache and drove him to blue balls twice was having a good time and loosening up. Still, he told himself to take it easy on her and not push. This was the first night in weeks he hadn’t felt that miserable feeling of having an itch that couldn’t be scratched.

“I’ll tell you what. I won’t ask again. But if you feel like telling me, I won’t judge you.”

“How long are you in town for?”

Her question surprised him until he realized that she really knew nothing about him. He didn’t want to lie to her, but the idea of telling her that this was one of many of his properties didn’t sit too well with him just yet. He finally had her relaxed. She’d already panicked on him twice in their brief meetings and he had no intention of giving her a reason to do it a third time.

  “Indefinitely. How about you?”

“I leave the day after tomorrow.”

His stomach about fell out from beneath him and dropped on the floor. He didn’t know why it disappointed him so much, but hearing that she would only be there for such a short time made him feel like he had before he’d come down to the bar and found her.

  “Case wrapping up?”

“Yeah. Really it’s wrapped up already. I just bo
oked a Friday flight thinking that the case would last all week like expected.”

  “I see.”

  “Did I say something wrong?”

  “No.”

He quickly recovered by taking a drink of wine and winking, though it was unsettling to him that a woman he barely knew was able to read his disappointment so easily.

“How was your dinner? You must have been hungry.” He smirked and nodded toward her plate.

“Actually, I was famished. Plus, I'm used to eating take out at the office most nights. It's not often I'm treated to a lobster dinner. I guess I kind of pigged out. Not very attractive, is it?”

And there it was, that vulnerability that he remembered her having. She looked down and away from him as her words trailed off.

“Sophia, you are an incredibly attractive woman. The only thing that is keeping me from throwing you on the floor and ravishing you is the promise I made to you in that hallway.”

“Yeah?” She quirked her right eyebrow up and bit her lower lip.

The cute and sexy gesture sucker punched him and sent shock waves straight down to his cock. He’d been sporting a semi-hard dick ever since he’d left her in the hall earlier, but now he was back at attention and wanted to forget whatever promise he made and tear her white cotton t-shirt to shreds.

He could see the taut peaks of her breasts hardening underneath her shirt. The memory of how her nipples felt being squeezed between his fingertips while his other hand slid past the slick folds of her pussy was too much for any one man to resist.

  Those eyes.

The searching, confused, but desperate longing he saw in them was killing him. He knew she wanted him. Damn, but he knew she did. Something, he didn't know what, was stopping her. She had one glass of wine and was on her second, but she was nowhere near being as drunk as she was that first night they met.

So was this the alcohol? Was liquid courage egging her on? Or was it really her? Was this the real Sophia? The one he wanted so desperately to explore?

“Jesus, Sophia. What are you doing to me?”

“I’m sorry. I can’t help it. I don’t know what’s wrong with me.” She shook her head. “I don’t do things like this.”

  “Things like what?” he asked.

“Hook up. Have flings. Do random sex. Whatever you want to call it. I just don’t do it. I was always…”

  “Don’t stop. Tell me.”

“I don’t know. A good girl?” she shrugged. “I mean, I was an only child. I studied hard, graduated early. Graduated Summa Cum Laude in college. I was in the top five percent of my class in law school. Then I met and got engaged to Graham, one of the attorneys from another firm in my building. I just never…”

Suddenly an image of this gorgeous woman who was sexier than she probably even realized began to form. She may have a body to die for and a face that makes him want to kiss her from head to toe, but for all intents and purposes she was not much more than an inexperienced young woman when it came to men and sex.

“Can I ask you something personal?”

With wide eyes and a big swig of her wine, she shrugged with hesitation. “I suppose so.”

“How many men have you slept with?”

She looked up at him. An almost fear blanketed her expression and he knew her answer without her even having to say the words. This woman, who drove him crazy with lust, had been with no more than one man in her life and from the sounds of it whoever he was, he hadn't exactly been a dynamic lover. Not with the way she freezes up on him whenever things get heated.

“Is that why I scare you?”

  “Kind of.”

J.T. stared in disbelief. He knew nothing about this woman, yet somehow he felt like she’d just shared a piece of herself with him that she had never imagined sharing with anyone. Just knowing it made him feel powerful and even special.

  She was special.

The problem was, she didn't know it. And for the life of him, he didn't know why he wanted so desperately to show her.

Whoever her ex-fiancé was, whatever his issues were, it was obvious that she’d never been allowed to enjoy her sexuality. He wanted to show her it was okay to feel good. He wanted her to know that she didn’t have to be afraid of it.

The knowledge of wanting to give her something like that surprised him a little. He very rarely shared his secret life with others. Few knew of his preferences toward dominance in the bedroom. Those meeting him would have no idea that he would have such proclivities. He kept them private for only his most trusted bed partners.

For the life of him, he couldn't understand why he wanted to open himself up to this woman sitting before him. Not only give to her the pleasure she so desperately needed, but also he wanted her to see his side. His true side. He wanted her to know the real him and know that she shouldn’t fear him.

“Sophia, I don’t want to scare you. I meant when I said I wouldn’t hurt you. Do you believe that?” He spoke softly.

“Yes. I do. My head tells me that I shouldn’t. But, I do.”

“Good. Because I want to give you something. But I need you to trust me. Can you do that? Do you think you can trust me?”

He watched as her mind wandered off somewhere distant and he wondered where she might have gone.

  “Sophia?”

  “I’m still scared.”

“I know.” He nodded and got up from the table. Stepping around to her side he held out his hand. “But I give you my word I will not hurt you.”

With wide eyes that looked like a deer caught in headlights, he almost wrapped her up in his arms and cradled her. Instead, he resisted the urge, knowing she needed to trust him and have faith that he was telling her the truth.

He stood there with his hand out while she sat staring. His body ached for her. Had she been anyone else she would already be naked and he’d be buried deep in her pussy pounding at her until he found release.

She wasn't anyone else though, and this wasn't about his release. It was about hers. And more importantly, trust.

Slowly she raised her hand and placed her long fingers in his palm. “I don’t want to be scared anymore.”

Pulling her up to him he placed his hands on either side of her face and gently brushed at her cheeks with his thumb.

“What do you feel right now? Are you scared?”

  “Yes.” She whispered.

He kissed her lips and lifted her hands above her head before pulling her shirt off. His actions exposed a simple white and lace bra. It was nothing like his usual dates, of the women who'd spend hundreds on lingerie of different colors and textures. Still the simplicity of it was the sexiest he'd ever seen.

Pulling the satin and lace cups down, her breasts pushed up at him and those same nipples looked even more delicious than his imagination could have conjured. He grabbed them in his hands squeezing and squishing them together as he took one of her nipples in his mouth and bit down ever so gently on her tit and sucked on it until she whimpered and arched into his body.

His cock twitched from the way her body reacted. He wanted so bad to bury himself in her wet cunt. To fuck her until they were both spent and exhausted from one another. He knew he couldn't do any of what he wanted to, though.

  At least not yet.

He had less than forty-eight hours with Sophia. If he was going to give them both what they wanted and needed, he was going to have to do things just right.

  4

She was still so unsure about all of this. Her heart pounded in her chest so wildly that she was afraid it might burst right out of her chest. Her mouth was so dry and thirsty for him. She wanted him to kiss her and touch her all over like he’d done earlier. Her pussy throbbed and wet heat coated her panties as he sucked and nibbled on her nipples.

She wanted to feel his cock. With her hands, her mouth, the inside of her body. She wanted so much and they were all feelings that Graham had always made her feel guilty for.

Sex was a duty when she’d been with him. Sh
e’d never truly been excited. Not like she’d been with J.T. She couldn’t help but wonder if it was like this for all women or if J.T. was just some sort of sexual wizard that knew a bunch of tricks.

She didn’t really care either way. She just didn’t want him to stop what he was doing. Scared or not, she wanted this tonight. She wanted him.

Wrapping her hands around his head, Sophia raked her fingers through his hair and pushed her chest further against his mouth. She couldn’t get enough of his mouth on her.

  “Mmm…You like that?”

Her eyes opened at his question, and she nodded while biting on her lower lip again. She was afraid to say was she was really feeling.

“That’s good babe. I like that. I like seeing that look in your eyes. I like knowing I’m the one putting it there.”

He brushed his thumb across her sensitized nipples and leaned into her. His lips pressed firmly against hers, opening her mouth, forcing her to accept him while his tongue swept inside of her mouth and explored her kiss.

“You taste like butter and wine. So sweet, so fucking good.”

There it was again. That word. Whenever he used that word with her, she could feel things that she wasn’t sure she was supposed to. Her pussy quivered and a spark of excitement shot through her just like it had in the hallway when he’d told her how bad he’d wanted to fuck her. The memory alone was making her want to drop to her knees and take him in her mouth. It was a chore that she hated doing with her ex, but she couldn’t keep from imagining with J.T.

“Tell me.” He slipped his hand into the waistband of her pants and underneath her panties. “When I do this…” he groaned when his fingers touched her wetness. “Fuck, you're so wet.”

Sophia didn’t pay much attention to what he said. Her body took on a mind of its own when she felt his finger graze against her clit. She knew that spot so very well. She and it had become very close friends in her many bubble baths over the years.
