When he had her on the edge, when she had a quiver he felt traveling the backs of her thighs he gave her his cock. Got over her again and he made her aware. Made her know what to expect. She begged him for it. Begged for his cock.
“Please,” she whispered, her fingers straining around the brass headboard.
“Show me your pussy,” he whispered. Watched then as her hips came up, her blindfolded face searching the dark room, waiting for him to fuck her. Her rump tilted up, begging to be skewered. She had him hard as he would get. He gave it to her slowly, watched her mouth come open as she got the thing he’d built her up to want. Sunk inch by inch, watching her grip tighten, her pouted lips part, a thin string of spit joining them. She squeaked high and excited. He sunk himself as deep as he would go. She was hot and wet and she was tight.
“You feel fucking amazing,” he growled in her ear. He fucked her then and she gave it back. The two of them on the bed, undulating until the headboard was banging on the wall. Her ass made whomps against his driving hips and they got her bed rocking.
She called his name, “Oh Geoff, oh Geoff,” and he loved the sound of her voice. He sucked his thumb, got it wet, let it explore where they were connected. Stroking the cleft of her cheeks down to circle her anus. She slowed on him, her anus circling his thumb now. He slipped it inside her and she cried out. Buried it in her, pressed her hard to the bed with his hips, thrust himself into her wet sex. Her head came back, her mouth wide.
“Up,” he said and he got her to her knees, her warm back to his chest. His teeth dragged over her shoulder and bit at her. He stroked his cock between her cheeks, slipped it along her crack, found her anus and he pressed it up inside her.
“Oh fuck,” she laughed.
He laughed too, fucking her ass from behind and biting her skin; his hand dove between her thighs from the front and he found her bud in an instant, hard and wet and slippery. He worked it through her folds while he fucked her ass. Fucked her like that til her breaths were pounding out of her. When he knew she was close he pulled that blindfold off and wrenched her chin to him, kissed her and sucked her tongue. She clawed him, turned and grabbed at him, pulled him to the bed on top of her. He got his cock between her legs and inside her again without touching it with his hands. She was so ready. He was so hard. Her legs wrapped around him, her hips bucked against his thrusts and she kissed his lips, his neck, gasped, hissed through clenched teeth. He drove hard and she took it, clawing his back with her hard manicured nails.
“Fucking yes,” she called, “yess-ss,” again and again, getting louder, the bed banging, reverberating through the room. Finally she called out, a long Yess, ahh- followed by a hiss and she stiffened under him, so tight she twisted like a drag car, pulling him up off the mattress her thighs clamped to his hips like a vice. Her face twisted in ecstasy, a frozen snarl as he made her come. He kissed between her breasts, licked her sweat, sucked a nipple. Finally she relaxed, a squeaky grunt in the back of her throat, she settled back onto the bed and he held her.
“Fu-uck me, Geoff,” she laughed. She bit his nipple and he opened his chest and caressed her thick hair. She sucked and pulled on it, her hand sneaking down his belly, grabbing his cock then stroking it. She kissed her way to it, grabbed a handful of scrotum and took him deep in her mouth, right over top of the used condom. She gripped him, bobbed, sucked and worked just the tip. She went on until she had him as excited as she was, his legs climbing and kicking through the bed sheets. She pulled the condom off, straddled his hips, made an earnest growling sound, pinched his balls through a tight ring of her fingers, her other fist stroking his bare slippery cock.
“Fuck, Krista, I’m going to come,” he said.
“Do it, Geoff, come, come...”
She made quick thrusts at the flange and he flexed his hips, shot a stream up between them and she wrestled him, squashing him flat to the mattress with her legs and stroking him faster. He came again and again and she was impressed. Laughing and watching, holding him still even though she knew she was tickling him. He grabbed her thin knees, his fingers digging into her tight flesh. She slowed finally when she knew he couldn’t take it. His heart pounded in his chest, his ears throbbed and rushed and she gave another laugh, tossed herself next to him on the bed. She looked up into his eyes.
She sighed, “I thought you were cute, I had no idea you were such a demon.”
He kissed her forehead, said, “I’ve been to war.”
“You did battle with me,” she laughed, patting his cheek. She moaned then, lay flat on her belly next to him, slowly kicking her heels up towards her rump.
He looked at her uneasily. She watched him, a twinkle in her eye. He frowned, made his face placid for her, said, “I’m not...ready for anything...”
She laughed, then frowned, raised an eyebrow. “Easy hotshot,” she said. “I’m not looking for anything either. I’ve just wanted to do that for a very long time.”
“Me too,” he admitted.
She said, “Single dads are hot, and you’re the hottest.”
He smiled, said, “You just want me for my daughter...”
Her face went wistful. She said, seriously, “You are an amazing father. Every little girl’s dream...”
He held her hand, his thumb stroking her. “Krista...you know,” he sighed, his eyes looking out the window above them, out towards Central Park.
“What?”
“Remember me in the winter?”
“I don’t want to...”
“I know. I found out…Odie’s not my daughter.”
She gasped, her eyes wide and hurt. “Oh, Geoff, oh no...”
“Oh whoa,” he said. “No, don’t. Hey, I’m okay. Totally okay. Don’t know why I want to tell you. I haven’t told anyone. Not my sister...nobody. No one else knows. Except the guy my wife slept with...”
“Geoff, you’re twisting my stomach up...”
He squeezed her hand, “Seriously, don’t,” he said. “I’m not saying this for sympathy or anything. I love my daughter. This puts my book with her in a powerful context. What is it to be a father? You know? It’s not blood. It transcends genetic duty.” He shrugged, said, “I love her no less. I worry she might feel different about me when I tell her some day, but I’m being crazy...”
She stroked his cheek, stared deep into his eyes.
He laughed, said, “Wild, huh?”
“Pretty wild,” she whispered. “I’m sorry—”
“No, not sorry. Nothing to be sorry about. I don’t think about it. She’s mine. She’ll always be mine. I don’t have a single regret about it.”
“Honestly?”
“Honestly. I regret that its over. My family.”
“You miss her? Your wife?”
He took a deep breath. Said quietly, “I think I still love her.”
“Wow.”
“Is that crazy?”
“It’s crazy but I don’t know her. I don’t know anything about what you had. I see a hot guy with a great family. I heard she was hot too. Heard you guys were a killer couple.”
“She was. Me?”
“You have something. Everybody sees it but you.” She held his face between both hands and looked in his eyes. “Fuck me, Geoff J. Kane. There is something about you. You fuck me like you just did, do it all night, we might be married by lunchtime.”
“Don’t get attached,” he smiled, moving in and kissing her beautiful neck.
“You ready again?” she whispered.
“I am going to fuck you all night...”
She growled and laughed, turned from him and he kissed her ribs. She pulled the condoms to her and tore a packet open, sat up as he stroked her thigh. He was hard as steel again and she rolled a condom on him as he lay on his back. Straddled him then, her hand between them searching and aligning.
She sighed as she sunk him inside her, her eyes looking up at the ceiling “Oh, Geoff, you are so hard.” She fell forward and bumped her forehead to his and looked in his eyes
. “We’re going to need something to eat. You hungry?”
“Didn’t...mm, you eat?”
“Ah,” she gasped, rolling her pelvis against his. “I hate that pretentious nitrogen nonsense. Didn’t eat a thing.”
“Don’t people, ah... broil any-m-more?” he grunted.
“Tell me a-about it,” she said, humping up and down his shaft. Her hands worked around the bed. “My skirt...”
“Here,” he said, pulling it out from under his pillow. “It’s okay you miss Laetitia’s party?”
“Mm…ah, there’s…no party, Geoff. This is the party…”
She sat upright on him, settled on his hips so he was deep inside her. She smiled, bit her lower lips and wiggled. Held her skirt and fished her iPhone out of her pocket. Her face was lit up by the screen. “Indian?”
“Definitely,” he said stroking her smooth thighs. “Mughlai Korma.”

NIA
There had been a text this morning from someone she thought she’d lost. Four words from her friend Angie. We need to talk. It had tightened her, chilled her with a dread. What was it? What had gone wrong now? She responded, and Angie asked her if she was home tonight. Said she was and Ang said she would be over to talk about something very important.
She’d seen Ang only once in the last while. In the old neighbourhood at Christmas time, just in passing. An awkward, How ya doing? Ang was with her boyfriend and his friends and they didn’t invite her. She texted the next day, said they should get together sometime but it hadn't happened. A few texts here and there, but nothing involved. She was off facebook. Off everything. Didn't know what any of her friends were up to. Donna had talked to her only once after she’d made herself the centre of attraction at her wedding. More bridges burned. It had been over a whole year now since her—
There was a soft knock on the door, a familiar little syncopation that was obviously Ang; she’d knocked on her door plenty when they were young and times weren’t so tough. She was sitting cross-legged on her leather sofa, watching a series on Netflix. Barefoot, a garden salad in her lap. She drew a deep breath looked out over the pale amethyst sky above Downsview.
“It’s unlocked,” she said, waited, heard the handle turn.
Her good old friend Ang came in, and her cheeks began to tremble.
“Hey,” Ang said, waving to her, standing at the point where carpet met tile.
“Why are you so dressed up?” Nia asked her.
Ang looked down at what she was wearing. “This old crap?” she said. She had a tight black dress on, bare legs, waxed and shining, high heel shoes and a Gucci bag.
“Come in,” Nia said, hefted herself out of her couch and stood on the carpet and waited to see what Angie was here to say.
Ang came to her, in her heels, and she put her arms around her and held her. “Are you okay?” she asked her.
“I’m fine,” Nia said, putting her arms around her too and feeling an incredible wave pass through her. It felt so good to hold someone. “What’s wrong?”
“Nothing’s wrong. I needed to see you.”
“For what?”
“I just needed to see you. I miss you.”
“Don’t, Angie,” she said, pulling back, her eyes blinking, fighting tears.
“When did you get so emotional?” Ang said with a smirk.
“I don’t know.” She sniffed and put her arms around her again.
“Hold on,” Ang said.
She walked back to the vestibule, to the door, but she couldn't see her, only heard the door being opened. More heels on tile. They filed in in their black dresses and high heels. Donna and Lisa—Angie coming in behind them. Lisa held a bottle of wine.
“Aw, shit,” Nia said. “What’s going on?”
They tried not to smile but it happened, they broke wide, showing her their teeth and laughing. They put their arms out and she went to them.
“What the fuck?” Nia said.
Donna said, “I was at the MTO, renewing my license, I saw you coming out and I was in my car. I wanted to say Hi, but you looked so sad. I just fuckin sat there like an idiot. I watched you drive away. I couldn't stop thinking about you.”
Donna hugged her tight, her arms went around her neck. Nia felt her back, said quietly, “Are we okay?”
“I was mad. I was...but, fuck, Nia, we’ve been through so much. You were there for me...you know...”
“I know, Donna.” She couldn't look in her eyes again so she pressed herself to her. Lisa squeezed her shoulder.
“Why are you all dressed up?”
“We’re taking you out,” Ang said.
“Where?”
“Wherever. Square, I don’t know. Go dancing, go drinking, get you fuckin laid.”
Nia laughed, “That's the last thing I need.”
Lisa scoped out her bedroom and Donna and Ang took her elbows and walked her there.
“I don’t want to go out,” she laughed.
“We’re going to have fun, Nia.”
“We’re going to get wasted,” Lisa's voice coming in from the kitchen. A cork popped.
Nia said, “I don’t feel like going out,” as she sat on the edge of her unmade bed.
“Exactly,” Donna said, opening her sliding closet door, and looking over her clothes hanging in there. “That’s why we’re here.”
Angie sat herself next to her, their hips touching. She said, “It’s been a year since you and Geoff...”
“Yeah,” she said. No one knew the details, she hoped, but they knew she was separated.
“You miss him?”
“I want him back so bad,” she said.
“You do?”
“God, I miss him so much.” She slumped into her and her arm went over her shoulders.
“Aw, Nia. I’m sorry. I thought you were with Rocco for a while.”
“I’m done with him. Don’t even want to talk about him.”
“I know. He's such an asshole.”
“He is,” Nia said.
“Do you talk to Geoff?”
“How’s this?” Donna said, holding a black dress against herself, a tight fitting thing she didn't feel like squeezing on tonight. She shook her head and turned up her nose.
“He doesn't want to talk to me.”
“God, he was such a good guy,” Ang said.
“I know. He is...”
“This one?” Donna had another, just as slim, strapless. She shook her head no again.
“Guys, can we stay in and talk?”
Lisa came in now, four wine glasses held with the stems through her fingers, open wine bottle in the other hand. She set them down and she poured.
“Are you going to divorce?”
“He wants to.”
“Can you get him back?” she said, gave her a hopeful smile. They all thought she could, probably, if she wanted to. Their pretty friend who could get any guy she wanted. Knew she was bad, but they didn't know how bad, did they?
Donna sat next to her now, a dress she’d been considering folded over an arm. “How we going to get him back, Nia?”
“I tried. I tried so hard.”
“What happened?”
A laugh came out. An unexpected breathy snort. What had she done? What was the worst you could think of? Right around there, right around there.
“I can’t...”
“So bad you can’t get him back? You cheated with Rocco...”
“Odele,” she said, tears starting. A tremble passed through her shoulder blades, her hands jumped and flexed, like her secret was held in them. It was slippery and she struggled to hold onto it, ashamed of the truth, her muscles twitching as she bobbled it, somewhere inside her tired of it being hidden...
“Odele is Dino’s baby.”
Donna gasped.
Angie said, “Oh,” her eyes went wide and she looked up to Lisa. Lisa’s mouth was open. Angie put her arm around her.
Donna
said, “For sure?”
“How does Geoff know?”
“I don’t know,” she cried, “just look at her. She looks like Dino,” she fell into her own hands, cried into them.
“She looks like you, Nia, she looks like you,” Donna said, rubbing her back.
“She's Geoff’s. I know she’s Geoff’s. I do. I know.”
“Why don't you get a test?”
“He would kill me...”
Ang whispered, “Not if she’s his.”
“Ang. What if she’s not?”
“She might be Dino’s?”
She nodded her head frantically, her lips sucked in like a little girl in trouble. The timing was right. The timing was quite right.
Donna held her too now. “It’s okay, Nia. She’s a wonderful girl.”
She whispered, “I did get the test. I didn’t open it.”
“Oh Nia, poor Nia,” Ang said, stroking her back.
“Just open it,” Lisa said, not seeing the problem.
“Where is it?” Donna asked.
“It’s in the drawer in the hall. I don't want to though, please...I don’t want to...”
Lisa walked into the hall and they could hear a drawer being opened, papers being pushed around.
Nia pleaded to Ang, “I don't want to know. She’s Geoff’s, Ang. If I open it and it...doesn't say that...I’ll fuckin die.”
Lisa came in and she held the envelope in two hands showing everyone. She said, “I can open it. I can tell you if I feel like it. No promises...”
“No, no, please, don’t. She’s Geoff’s. Every second that envelope’s closed she’s one hundred percent Geoff’s...”
