As Jasper tied the belt around his waist, he asked, “It’s fine. How do you know so much about boats?”

“I’ve worked on the docks for years, remember? I’ve been in practically every type of boat there is, and no matter the size, they all use mostly the same terminology. Stern, bow, aft, galley, etc. Granted I have only been in one yacht and it was nothing like this opulence, but basically a boat is a boat, or a ship is a ship. I have no idea what they call the room we’re going, where they keep the skis and stuff, so I’m just calling it the toy room. Anyway, if we head through there, we can take the stairs back down to the engine room where I was being kept, and from there get back into the toy room without the sun hitting you. I’m just happy as hell the windows in here are tinted enough to protect you.”

“Yeah, me too. But, what if we run into someone down there? Aren’t there rooms down below too?” Jasper asked.

“Yeah, but hopefully we’ll be quiet enough to not gain any attention. We don’t really have too many options here, so I think it’s our best bet.”

Jasper nodded. “I agree. Okay, let’s get this over with.”

B.B. grasped Jasper’s hand and the two of them went deeper into the ship and found the stairway leading down. Once they reached the bottom they froze and just listened.

“You hearing anything with that awesome paranormal hearing?” he asked.

Jasper’s eyes were full of fear, as he nodded. “Yes. I hear someone breathing. It’s close by.”

B.B. looked around and his gaze landed on the first door closest to them. “Probably coming from in there. Okay, let’s do this very quietly. If you hear a change in their breathing or anything, just squeeze my hand,” he whispered low.

Slowly, they crept toward the first room, slipped past it, and then stopped, listening. When Jasper nodded it was okay, they continued on. They had to walk past three more doors, each with an occupant inside, but none of them made a move as he and Jasper walked by. They made it to the door that said Engine Room and found it locked. B.B. sighed in defeat, but Jasper pulled his hand free then stepped up to the door and smiled at him. Jasper grabbed the knob and with a little force, he turned it breaking the lock, then pulled the door open.

“Damn, now that’s handy,” B.B. said, with a chuckle.

Closing the door behind them, so as to not give anyone a clue they had been there, or that he may have escaped, they made their way back to the door B.B. had left through previously and into the toy room.

“The wetsuits are over here. Look around for anything we can use for your head,” B.B. instructed as they made their way across the room.

“Well, Kalen?” Silas hissed impatiently, as he paced the floor.

“I’m working on it,” Kalen replied, in frustration.

Fabian came to him, stopping his motion, and placed a hand on his shoulder. “I know how hard this is for you, brother, but biting Kalen’s head off won’t make anything better or go any faster. He’s doing all he can.”

Silas sighed and ran a hand down his face. “I know. I’m sorry, K. I’m just sca—”

“You’re scared, I get it. This is your mate we’re talking about, but remember this, B.B may be a human, but he is a very capable man who I know will fight with everything he’s got. He’s proven that already when those two assholes beat him and he fought back. He was able to come to us even with those broken bones. He’s a fighter. A survivor,” Fabian stated, giving him an encouraging smile.

“And he’s fierce as hell,” Atty added. “If it wasn’t for B.B., I probably would have given up a long time ago. It was because of him that I kept holding on, having hope.”

“Got something,” Kalen announced, gaining their attention.

Quickly Silas and Fabian went to stand behind their brother and looked over his shoulder at his monitor.

“What is it, Kalen?” Fabian asked.

“That boat Diego took Jasper away in. I previously found it was registered to Viscardi and searched to see if he had any more boats listed in his name and came up with nothing. Well, I just rechecked everything again, but instead of Viscardi, I put in Diego’s name and I came up with some interesting shit.”

  “Like what?” Silas asked.

“Like, he has a rather large bank account in Romania, another in Greece, and here’s one in Italy, and lastly, one in Lichtenstein.”

“And what does that have to do with my baby being kidnapped?” Silas asked, in frustration.

“Well, Brainiac, tell me how someone who is supposed to be Viscardi’s sub and has no working background anywhere that I can find, has over fifty million dollars in personal accounts spread out in four countries?”

“Shit, how the hell…” Silas gasped.

“Exactly. So, I was tracing some of those accounts and came up with a name. Ready for this? Alejandro Diego Campillo,” Kalen announced with a shit-eating grin.

Fabian’s eyes went as wide as Silas was sure his were.

“But what about the name Titus Diego? Isn’t that what we have on file for him?” Fabian asked.

“Yeah, but it’s just another alias,” Kalen replied.

“Campillo? As in the same Campillo family we took out over fifty years ago?” Saber demanded, his face turning red with rage.

“One and the same. It seems, grandpa Carlo Campillo had an affair and she gave birth to his bastard child, and of course, being the upstanding citizen that Carlo was, he turned his back on the child. When Alejandro came of age, he tried to prove that he was of Campillo’s bloodline, but again he was denied, so he swore revenge on the whole Campillo family. Now you’re going to ask how I know this, well, I looked up the mother. Her name is Maria Diego and I was able to find that she had another son by the name of Salvator Diego. He goes by many aliases, one that is on Raven’s most wanted lists. Malto Carrera.”

“Son of a bitch,” Silas and Saber yelled at the same time.

“Carrera is one of the sickest motherfuckers of our kind. He’s wanted for rape, slavery, murder, drugs. You name it and that man has his hands in there,” Fabian said.

“Exactly. As I searched I found out that he has an equal partner in all his so-called businesses. A partner named Alejandro Diego Campillo. But going by some emails I have been able to obtain, it looks like Alejandro is actually the top dog in all their shenanigans. Which is one of the reasons we have never been able to pin anything on Carrera,” Kalen explained.

“So you’re telling me that Diego is actually the... what do they call them... kingpins?” Atty asked, his voice filled with fear.

Fabian immediately went to his mate and wrapped his arms around him, comforting him.

“That’s it exactly, Atty. Diego, the same one who helped capture you, is actually the big boss in this whole fucked up shitstorm. They met Malcolm Dean many years ago and offered him big money to work for them, and as we already know, that asshole took the deal. They use everyone they can as the front man, so that it never gets back to them,” Kalen replied.

“So Viscardi was probably used as a mule too. A fall guy to take the heat while they slipped out the back door. Literally,” Silas surmised.

“Most likely. I’ll look deeper into that, of course, and get together with Ash, so he and I can dig up whatever we can on them to give to Raven. So, now to the really good stuff. There was a yacht docked at the port in Victory, British Columbia, Canada, right across the Strait from here. It had been docked there for over three months and was scheduled to be there another month, but suddenly, it took off the night of the last auction. That yacht is registered to a Diego Marcello, aka, Alejandro Campillo.”

“And where is that damn yacht now?” Snow demanded viciously. Everyone turned in his direction, surprised by his sudden appearance.

“I’ve hacked into a few Coast Guard systems and a couple of satellites. The GPS is still working on it, but I think we should get coordinates soon,” Kalen replied.

  “I want this motherfucker, Fabian
,” Snow ground out.

“I know you do, but what about your standing in the FBI?” Fabian asked.

“Fuck the FBI! I quit weeks ago after Jasper went missing and I don’t plan on going back ever. Finding my mate is my top priority and making that bastard suffer is my second. I’m a civilian now, just like you. But, also just like you, I’m a paranormal and we don’t take lightly to our mates being harmed. So, what’s the plan once Kalen gets those coordinates? Do we have a vessel to get to them?”

Fabian gave him a smile that was both satisfied and devious. “Of course we do. Our king gives us some of the best toys.”

“Glad to hear you’re finally boning up and showing you actually have a cock between your legs. It’s about damn time you acknowledged your mate,” Saber hissed furiously, then turned and headed for the door. “Come for me when you’re ready to put together a plan. Until then, I’ll go have some fun with those two dead men walking that the Sentinel’s brought it. The air in this room suddenly stinks,” Saber threw out over his shoulder as he left.

They all shot Snow looks, but the man didn’t shy away, he just met their gazes head on. “I know what I have done and take full responsibility, as I have already told you, Fabian. And as promised, I will find a way to make it up to Jasper once we get him home where he belongs,” Snow pledged.

Fabian nodded, then turned back to Kalen. “How much longer until we get a hit from the GPS?”

Kalen grinned. “About a minute ago when Saber was telling off Boy Wonder there. It looks like our friend Diego hasn’t gone too far. The coordinates on that boat’s position is right about here,” Kalen said, as he pointed out a spot on a map he brought up.

“You’ve got to be kidding me. He’s only a few miles off shore of Cape Flattery?” Silas asked in disbelief.

“Yup, about twenty miles out in the ocean. Shouldn’t take us too long to get there. Unfortunately, we can’t go until sundown. Until then I’ll keep tracking them with the GPS in case they move.”

“Fuck. What if I head out now?” Snow offered. “I can go out in the sun and won’t have to worry about getting burned up like the rest of you.”

“No. We have no idea who is on that ship and you going off halfcocked on your own could make things worse,” Fabian replied.

Kalen laughed, “Halfcocked? Yeah, that seems to be a pattern with him. I’ll put in a call for assistance. They should be able to get here in time for us to go.”

“Good job, Kalen. In the meantime, I’ll let the Sentinels know what’s going on and join Saber. I want to have a talk with Cliff and Brody myself anyway. From what Volaris said, your mate did a good job on Brody’s face, Silas. Broke his nose and a cheek,” Fabian said with a chuckle.

Silas smiled proud. “That’s my baby. I’ll come with you. I have a few things to discuss with Brody myself. My right hand and left hand would love to be introduced to the piece of shit as well,” Silas replied.

Fabian kissed his mate and said, “Why don’t you try and get a nap while I’m gone, baby, and we’ll all regroup here in an hour and start coming up with a plan of attack.”

“Okay, mate. Go give them what they deserve, but don’t go too overboard. I want you rested too for other things,” Atty said, giving Fabian a sexy smile.

Fabian growled and kissed Atty again, then released him and walked away, leaving Atty giggling.

Gods, I want that too. I can’t wait to get B.B. back in my arms. Silas thought, as he followed Fabian out.

  CHAPTER 12

“Where the hell are we going, B.B.?” Jasper yelled out over the rush of wind and the splashing of water as they sped through the ocean.

“I have no fucking idea! Going by the sun I’m heading east! I figured if asshole had us out in the ocean, then that means land is to the east. Although I really have no idea how far out we were, or our exact location! I’m keeping my fingers crossed I’m right! Going by the time I woke up and what that dickhead who wanted to be my Master told me, and assuming they didn’t fly me out at some point, I’m guessing we’re not far off from either somewhere in Washington State, or Canada,” B.B. called back.

“Well, I guess that’s better than nothing, or staying on that boat!”

“You got that right. How you doing back there?” B.B. asked.

“Still holding on. So far so good, and I’m not crispy bacon!”

“Then we’re still golden! Now, I only hope this thing has enough gas to get us to land.”

“From your lips to the gods ears, man,” Jasper replied, and tightened his hold around B.B.’s waist as the jet ski bumped over a small wave.

B.B. scanned the horizon looking for any signs of life. A boat, some land, something, but all he could see was the flat, glittering surface of the ocean. He was certain that they hadn’t been taken too far off shore, not with the timeline he had figured out in his head. Yes, he had no idea how fast the ship had gone once he was onboard, or how many miles out to sea they had anchored, but he was sure they weren’t somewhere in the middle of the ocean, because the yacht they had come from would need to pull into port at some point to refuel. So he was guesstimating that Diego hadn’t gone far. He only hoped their luck would continue.

Once he and Jasper got into the toy room they had argued a bit about taking one ski over two. B.B. didn’t think it would be a good idea for Jasper to drive the other jet ski, because he wanted the man to focus on keeping himself covered and protected.

They had found wetsuits to fit them, with one being a little larger for Jasper, which helped cover his ankles and the tops of his feet, but they couldn’t find anything that was good enough to protect Jasper’s head. Then they each had a duh moment practically at the same time when they looked at the clothes they were leaving behind.

Jasper took B.B.’s jeans and completely covered his head and neck with just his eyes showing, then they wrapped the terry robe over that but left the hood portion out so Jasper could flip that over his head too and use it as a shield for his eyes. The belt was then used to secure everything, and then wrapped around the small space over his eyes. Jasper wouldn’t be able to see anything, but if he needed to, he could just lower the fabric a little to look out, but that was to only be done in an emergency.

When they were sure Jasper was safe and wouldn’t burn, they slid into the water and with Jasper’s help this time, they pushed the jet ski away from the yacht without a problem.

By the time they made it to a distance B.B. thought anyone on the yacht wouldn’t hear them, or would think it was so far away that it would be someone else passing, he helped Jasper onto the jet ski. Once they were both on, Jasper held B.B. tight and dropped his head down, using the hood as shade, then pressed his forehead to B.B.’s back. B.B. turned the engine on and they took off like a bat out of hell away from the yacht. With the sun being directly overhead now, B.B. figured it was about noon, which meant they had been riding for about two hours.

B.B. hoped he hadn’t made a mistake and they were going in the wrong direction, because that might mean that land could be too far away, and then they would be in bigger trouble.

Something shimmered on the horizon, but B.B. wasn’t sure of what it was. It was still too far away. Another five minutes later and B.B.’s heart started to pound with excitement. “Land, J! I see land!”

“Tha... nk... f-fuck,” Jasper panted. The sound had B.B. worried.

  “You okay, J?”

  “So... tired... hot.”

“Just hang on a little longer, brother, we’re almost there!” B.B. shouted, then turned the throttle, increasing to top speed. At first he had pushed the jet ski until they couldn’t see the yacht anymore, then he pulled back not wanting to burn off too much fuel, but now he needed to get to that land and make sure Jasper was okay.

The wind whipped past and the water splashed up, soaking them. After a few minutes B.B. noticed Jasper’s grip around his middle had loosened and it scared the shit out of him. B.B. quickly released the handle bar with one hand and
grabbed Jasper’s hand, keeping it wrapped around him. “Hold on, J! It’s getting closer! Almost there!”

The land grew up before him and B.B’s heart sank. It wasn’t shore or even an island, well, he guessed technically it wasn’t an island. It was a large rock formation that sat out of the water, but the waves crashed violently against it. There was no way he was going to be able to get them on that rock safely. They would be smashed to pieces. And even if they weren’t, there was no shelter, especially nothing for Jasper.

B.B. looked at the big strip of land still a ways off in the distance, but he would have to get through these large rocks first to get to it. His gaze scanned his surroundings again and saw another even larger rock coming out of the water, but between the two he could see a place where water flowed, and it was wide enough for them to make it through. Maybe if he could get around to the other side it would be safer to get ashore?

He turned toward the waterway and as he got closer, B.B. finally saw that it was a cluster of these large rocks that looked like islands, and a few in the back actually had some life on them. As he slowed the engine and eased through the path of water between the rocks, the water calmed. The two outer formations were working as a barrier to shield them, and even though there were still some waves, they were just small rolling ones.

B.B. slowed the engine even more as he got close to the first rock he came to that had life on it. He could make out grass, but not much else. As he made his way around to the rear of this larger rock, the water became completely still and B.B. saw a beach up ahead. Slowly, he made his way there until the jet ski bottomed out on the rocks below, then he shut down the engine.

“Jasper, we made it to land, man. Jasper?” B.B. turned his head and noticed that Jasper had gone limp behind him and was leaning over to his right. Shit, he needed to get Jasper out of the sun.

Without releasing Jasper’s one hand, B.B. slid off the jet ski and turned, then grabbed Jasper under the arms and yanked him off. He lost his balance on the slippery surface and fell to his ass, pain struck him and radiated up his spine. B.B. hissed, but kept his hold on Jasper.
