Skyfire Dragon
Page 5
With each generation, the dragon receded further and further into the human. Sky’s grandfather and father had full human traits and they lived as humans. But they never forgot that their ancestors had once been dragons. His father had tried to tell him, and Sky had no doubt that his father would have told him more if he had lived.
“For seven generations, the dragons lay dormant,” Sky said. “But now...”
“Your dragon has awakened,” Leia said, her eyes round and wide. “You and your brothers are...”
“Dragons,” Sky whispered.
He almost laughed. His brothers didn’t have some horrible disease or virus. They saw those scale-like patterns on their bodies because...
“Their dragons were trying to emerge,” Sky said excitedly. “Storm and Seath are dragons!”
Leia grinned at him, sharing his joy and excitement. “You can tell your brothers what you did tonight. You breathed fire tonight, Sky. Fire!”
The sight of her beautiful, radiant smile made his breath catch. Leia was amazing, so strong and selfless and loving. She had been attacked by a monster tonight, yet she simply pushed her ordeal aside to focus on him and his brothers. Sky realized that this beautiful, incredible woman was even stronger than his dragon.
Sky stopped his truck in front of his house and turned to face her. He reached out and touched her cheek. “Leia, you are truly the most amazing woman I have ever met. I tasted your tears when you kissed me and I felt your pain and fear. But you weren’t scared for yourself. You were scared for me. You were so afraid that I wouldn’t wake up. But I did wake, and so did my dragon.” He smiled. “You are the reason my dragon finally awakened. My dragon rose because of you, Leia.”
“Me?”
“Yes, you. I wasn’t planning on staying in Shadow Point for long. My brothers and I were prepared to move in a heartbeat. We didn’t want to put down roots. The wolves in my hometown turned on us and forced us to leave because they didn’t know what we were. We thought that this town wouldn’t be any different.”
Sky took both her hands in his. “But now, I know that I have found my home. I found you. Here, in Shadow Point. This is my home, and I will stay and fight. For you, for our future.”
CHAPTER EIGHTEEN
Sky helped Leia out of the truck and led her into his house. Locking the door behind them, he flicked on the lights and deadpanned, “Welcome to the dragon’s lair.”
Leia rolled her eyes and smacked his arm. “You’re a funny guy, Sky.”
Sky chuckled. He just wanted to lighten the mood and make Leia comfortable in his home and in his presence.
He poured her a glass of milk which she accepted gratefully. In one long gulp, she drained the glass and put the empty glass on the counter.
Sky smiled when he saw her sporting an adorable milk mustache.
“You, um...”
“What?” Leia asked, blinking up at him with those hypnotic brown eyes.
Gently, Sky tilted her face up and ran his thumb over her lips. He held her waist and pulled her closer. Leaning in slowly, he kissed her softly, sweetly, tenderly.
Leia wrapped her arms around his neck and parted her lips for him. As Sky pushed his tongue into her hot, sweet mouth, he groaned at the taste of her. She was so sweet and exquisite, and he wanted more.
He wanted all of her, all to himself. He wanted to kiss her all over, taste every inch of her delectable, curvaceous body.
When Sky let out a possessive growl, Leia gasped and broke the kiss. She stared up at him, her face flushed and her lips red and swollen.
She looked so sexy, and it took all Sky’s willpower to keep his fists at his sides. He so badly wanted to grab her and kiss her again. He never wanted to stop kissing her.
He forced himself to release her and step away. He saw that she was quivering, and he didn’t want to frighten her or hurt her.
“I’ll go grab my pillow,” he said gruffly, jerking his thumb towards his bedroom. “I’ll sleep on the couch tonight...”
“Sky.” Leia put out a hand to stop him. “I...I don’t want to sleep alone tonight,” she whispered. “I want...”
Sky tensed as Leia took a step closer. She kept coming closer until their bodies were just inches apart.
She pressed her hand to his chest, over his thundering heart. “I want you to kiss me,” she said. “Kiss me again, Sky.”
With a feral growl, Sky crushed his mouth over hers. This time he held nothing back. The kiss was fervent, bruising and demanding. He plundered her hot little mouth with his lips and tongue, taking everything she had to give.
Leia arched her back as he kissed down her jaw and neck. Sky saw the dried blood on her neck and jerked back with a sharp, angry breath.
“Come here,” he commanded. “Let’s get cleaned up.”
Taking her hand, Sky led Leia into his bedroom. He walked her to the attached bathroom and unbuttoned her blouse. Leia made no protest as he unhooked her bra and slid her clothes off her. She stepped out of her jeans and panties, and let him walk her into the shower.
When he didn’t remove his clothes, Leia frowned at him. “I thought we’re getting cleaned up together. I want us to do everything together.”
Sky shed his clothes quickly and stepped into the shower with her. “Relax,” he said as he adjusted the water. “I’m going to wash all this blood off you.”
Leia closed her eyes and sighed as Sky shampooed her hair and soaped her tenderly. When he finished washing her, Leia surprised him by pushing him against the wall.
“My turn,” she said huskily.
Sky forced himself to remain still as Leia ran her hands down his body, exploring every hard, muscled inch of him. He groaned when she soaped between his legs and cupped his heavy, aching balls in her hands.
She made a sound of appreciation as she trailed her fingers across his broad back and dug her nails into his taut buttocks. Sky saw lust and desire flare in her eyes, and her breathing was becoming fast and shallow.
He had never been able to scent a woman’s desire and arousal before. But he could scent Leia’s hunger and the sweet moisture between her thighs.
She wanted him.
Leia began to rub herself against him, and Sky clenched his fists tightly, trying to hold on to his fraying restraint.
“Leia...” he snarled a warning.
She looked up at him, lust and defiance shining in her eyes. She wasn’t going to heed his warning. In fact, she was going to make him lose all control. “Take me. I want you to take me, right here, right now. I want to feel you, inside me. I want to feel everything,” she said.
Sky stared at the scars on her neck and arm, which were already beginning to fade. “I don’t want to hurt you.”
“You won’t,” Leia whispered. “You won’t hurt me. I know you will never hurt me. I want this. I want you, Sky.”
CHAPTER NINETEEN
Leia let her eyes roam all over Sky’s sculptured, rock hard body. She wanted to feel that big, strong body against her, all over her, inside her. She wanted to feel pleasure, hard, intense, consuming pleasure with Sky. She wanted to feel everything with Sky.
No man had ever made her feel like this before. Sky saw past her shyness, awkwardness and insecurities. He saw how brave and strong she was, and he made her feel confident, special and beautiful.
He brought out the best in her, and Leia felt comfortable and safe with him. She didn’t feel self-conscious at all with Sky. She could be herself, and she could let him know how she felt and what she wanted. She didn’t have to hold back.
“I want to be with you, Sky,” she whispered.
Sky’s fists unclenched and he grabbed her and kissed her hard. The kiss went on forever, and Leia felt herself growing impossibly wetter. Sky was a great kisser and he put everything into his kiss. She could feel how much he desired and wanted her, and she kissed him back with equal ardor and fervor.
Sky caressed and explored her body as he kissed her. He ran his large hands down her cu
rves and flicked his thumbs across her sensitive nipples, teasing them to tight, puckered peaks.
When he finally lowered his mouth to her breast, Leia was panting and writhing with need. She let out a cry when he began to circle her sensitive nipple furiously with his tongue.
Leia pushed against him, wanting to feel his mouth and hands all over her. Sky licked his way down her body until he reached her pussy. Kneeling in front of her, he spread her legs and touched her clit with his tongue.
Leia whimpered as he threw her leg over his shoulder and began to devour her sex. Sky licked and sucked greedily, lapping up every drop of her sticky juices. He pushed his stiffened tongue into her slit and began to thrust.
Leia cried out as Sky kept fucking her with his tongue. His fingers massaged her swollen clit as he pushed deeper into her. Sky’s hands and mouth were relentless. He was pleasuring her out of her mind, making her whole body quake and tremble.
“Oh Sky, I...oh please...” Incoherent pleas tumbled from her lips as her pleasure kept spiraling.
With a scream, she came hard against his mouth. Her palms slapped against the tiles and her whole body was pulsating and burning with heat. She began to slide down the wet tiles as her legs gave out under her.
But Sky caught her in his arms and murmured into her hair. He snapped off the water and wrapped a fluffy towel around her.
Carrying her to the king-sized bed in the middle of the room, Sky laid her down and loomed over her.
He wasn’t done.
Neither was she. Leia wanted Sky to make love to her the whole night. She wanted this to last forever.
Sky kissed her deeply as he unwrapped the towel from her body. His skillful hands knew just where to touch her, and Leia cried out as he squeezed her breasts and rubbed her aching nipples against his palms.
Leia spread her legs for him. She wanted Sky to be hers, completely hers for just one night.
“Take me,” she begged. “Love me.”
Sky laced his fingers through hers and looked into her eyes. Leia’s breath hitched when she saw the passion burning in his deep green eyes.
Sky pushed the head of his cock into her pussy and took a deep, ragged breath. His muscles bulged as he inched his way very slowly into her body.
Leia gasped at the sudden pain. Sky was huge. His cock stretched her and filled her, but the pain felt so damn good.
“More,” she panted. “Please...”
Sky’s eyes glowed and she saw a brief flash of scales on his body. The emerald scales appeared and vanished in an instant, but his claws remained.
Leia put her hand on his bicep and felt his temperature rise. He was feverishly hot, and she could feel the tips of his claws digging into her hips.
His dragon was close to the surface. Leia looked into Sky’s eyes and saw both the man and the beast.
She wasn’t afraid of his dragon. She knew, she knew without a doubt, that his dragon would never hurt her. His dragon had emerged to save her. She wasn’t in danger. She could let herself fall, and Sky would be there to catch her.
Leia exhaled and let go, surrendering her body and pleasure to him.
CHAPTER TWENTY
Sky growled as Leia’s intoxicating scent filled his senses. Her soft, curvy body was spread beneath him, and he wanted to bury himself fully inside her.
He wanted to mount her and take her hard. But he was afraid of hurting her. His dragon was so hungry for Leia.
Sky could feel his dragon rising. But he refused to let his dragon take over. He needed to be in control. He needed to protect Leia. From everything and everyone. He would not let his dragon hurt her.
Sky felt the scales erupting from his skin but he fought the beast down. He would control his dragon, not the other way around. He would never cause Leia any fear or pain.
Leia looked up at him and he saw the trust in her beautiful brown eyes. She trusted him completely. She had faith in him, and she trusted him to keep her safe.
Sky dug his claws into the mattress. He swore that he would never let Leia down. He would never betray her trust, and he would protect and cherish this amazing woman forever.
His dragon rumbled and backed down. His silent oath to protect and cherish Leia seemed to satisfy the beast, and his dragon ceded control to him. Sky felt his claws retract and he growled as he threw her legs over his shoulders.
The heady scent of her need filled the room. She was so ready for him, so wet and ripe.
He could feel her walls stretching and rippling as he entered her. Leia dug her nails into his biceps, her chest heaving as she breathed hard and fast.
Sky buried himself to the hilt inside her hot, lush body and gripped her hips. “Leia...” he gritted out. “So tight, you’re so damn tight.”
Leia raised her hips to take him deeper into her body, and Sky groaned. He wanted to thrust into her, but if he moved, he might just explode.
“You feel...so incredible, Leia. So perfect,” he breathed.
She wound her arms and legs around him. “Take me,” she whispered.
With a snarl, he grabbed her and thrust deep into her. His pace quickened until he was pounding into her.
Leia thrashed her head from side to side, fisting the sheets as her pleasure climbed. He could feel her channel squeezing his cock like a vice, driving him out of his mind.
“Don’t stop,” she whimpered. “Don’t stop, Sky...”
She was so close to the edge. Sky bent his head and suckled her as he fucked her. Leia arched her back and let out a keening cry as she came suddenly.
Leia orgasmed again and again as he surged into her. Sky bellowed when he finally took his release. He kept moving, prolonging the pleasure and the connection. He didn’t want to withdraw from her ever.
Finally, he collapsed beside her, completely spent. Sky could feel his beast stirring but he was too exhausted to leash his dragon down. His dragon still seemed restless and was prowling impatiently under his skin.
Why wasn’t his dragon satisfied?
What did the beast want? Did his beast have an insatiable sexual appetite?
Sky ignored the rumblings of his dragon and pulled Leia to him. He kissed her hair and muttered, “You are amazing. I’m never going to get enough of you, Leia. Never.”
She didn’t reply but he could feel her smile.
CHAPTER TWENTY-ONE
“Lock all your doors,” Sky ordered, giving Leia a final kiss as he walked backwards down the front steps of her house. She looked so cute and sexy wearing his t-shirt over her jeans. The sleeves covered her elbows and the collar kept sliding down to expose her shoulders. If he didn’t leave right now, he would never leave. They would be naked again in no time.
Leia had asked him to drive her home when the sky lightened. “I’m okay, more than okay,” she’d said. Sky would have loved to spend the whole day with her in bed, but Leia had insisted that he send her home. “You need to get to work...and talk to your brothers,” she’d told him firmly.
As Leia blew him a kiss, Sky scowled and pointed to her house. “Go in right now and lock all the doors,” he said sternly.
“Yes, yes, lock all my doors,” Leia answered with a laugh. “You’ve said that like a hundred times already!”
When he growled, she gestured up and down her peaceful street and huffed. “Look around, this is a really safe neighborhood. Nothing will happen to me. See, people are coming out of their houses. And the neighbor’s kids have come out to play. I’ll be fine, really. I’ll just rest and relax at home, and catch up on some housework. It’s my day off.”
Sky pointed to the door and narrowed his eyes.
“Okay, I’m going in,” Leia mock-grumbled as she let herself into the house. The door closed softly behind her and Sky heard the turn of the lock.
Sky went back to his truck and scanned the street. Leia was right. She did live in a safe neighborhood. It was seven in the morning now, and he saw her neighbors coming out of their houses to go to work or walk their dogs.
r /> His phone buzzed and Sky dug it out of his pocket. “Yeah.”
“Where are you?” Storm barked in his ear. “Seath and I are at your front door, and we’ve been ringing your doorbell for ages!”
“I’m on my way back,” Sky said, getting into his truck.
“Huh? Where did you go?” Sky could hear the worry in his brother’s voice. “Is everything okay? Did something happen? What...”
“Everything’s okay. More than okay.” Sky smiled as he thought of Leia.
“What are you not telling us? I know something’s up. I can feel it,” Storm said. There was a pause and Storm inhaled sharply. “Are you seeing those...marks on your body? You caught the virus from us, didn’t you? Shit! Sky, I told you...”
“Hey, slow down. Relax, Storm. Just relax. I’m okay. But I need to show you something. I need you to get Seath and...”
“Seath is here with me,” Storm answered tersely.
There was the sound of a scuffle and Sky knew that Seath had just wrestled the phone out of Storm’s hand.
True enough, Seath’s frantic voice came on the line. “Sky! Where are you? Are you in great pain? Why didn’t you call us? We would have rushed over immediately. How could you not tell us? Okay, you just stay calm, okay? Those marks will go away. They’ll vanish in a while. Don’t freak out, Sky…
“I’m not freaking out.”
“...we’ll beat this and we’ll find a cure! You’re strong. We’re strong. We’ll fight this disease and...” Seath continued blabbering.
“Seath, stop,” Sky said. “Stop talking and listen to me. Are you listening? Good. There is nothing wrong with us. We are not diseased. We are dragons. Yes, that’s right. Dragons, Seath. We’re dragon shifters!”
“W-what?” Seath managed to stammer at last. “What did you say?”
