Wrath of a Side Chick 3: A Chicago Hood Drama (Side Chick's Wrath)

“Girl, you know what they say, don’t you?” Monique said. “It’s a small world. Shit, I remember this time me and some friends went to Memphis and I ran into that girl, Nelly, that we went to high school with. You remember her?”
“Nelly the hoe?” Trina asked. “Yeah, I remember her. She’s every woman’s worst nightmare. The kinda chick you don’t let nowhere near your man if you wanna keep him.”
“Right,” Monique said. “So, you never know when you gon’ see somebody or hear from them. That’s all I’m sayin’.”
For the rest of their time together at the restaurant, Trina tried to be attentive to Monique and whatever conversation she kept going. However, she couldn’t help but think about how Breon had gotten caught up in some stuff with this Dante person. While she would never tell her sister about whatever Breon had going on, as that was private and stayed between the two of them, something was still gnawing at her about it all. She was more than sure at this point that things had escalated to being a lot more than simply talking between Breon and this Dante guy – so much deeper.
CHAPTER 10
As Nikki got used to being in the basement of this small grocery store, she actually found herself able to think more clearly. She could feel the anger building inside of her, no matter how much she tried to deny it. She had really thought that Breon would be more respectful, or at least more honorable. As she sat on the dusty couch in this basement room, she shook her head and said to herself, “I can’t believe I let some big dick nigga get me in some fucked up situation like this. I really can’t believe this shit.”
Shortly after Nikki had logged into her Facebook profile to see what Breon’s girl Trina looked like, Dante had to leave. His reasoning was that he had some business to handle. And, of course, Nikki didn’t ask anything of it. She was simply happy, once again, that at least one of her captors was leaving. Now, however, just like at the house on the west side off of Sacramento, she was in the building alone with the Edric. She cringed, not liking the way he looked at her.
“I’mma go upstairs and get you somethin’ to eat,” Edric said. “If you want, that is?”
Nikki shrugged her shoulders. “I mean, yeah,” she said. “I’m hungry a little bit.”
“Okay,” Edric said, feeling confident that the only way out of the basement was through the staircase that led upstairs. “Be right back.”
Nikki watched as Edric closed the door and headed toward the staircase. Within less than a minute, she could hear his heavy footsteps stomping against the floor above. She looked up every so often, having to move out of the way of falling dust particles that were a result of his weight on the floor. Once she was sure that she’d have a few minutes, since Edric probably didn’t know his way around the store all that well, she jumped up off of the couch. Even though she had told the Dante guy that she was going to help him get Breon, or at least his girl, so that she could get out of there, she was still trying to think of a way to escape. Just like at the house, she looked at her options and realized that they were limited. Curse words slipped out of her mouth when she realized that she was in a basement without windows, and if there were windows, she could have easily gotten up to one and have escaped through the alley that ran along the back of the building and headed up the block.
First, Nikki looked through the metal filing cabinet. To no surprise, each of the five drawers were filled with various kinds of papers, documents, and folders. Upon looking closer, she realized that she was again in a place that was frozen in time. If the condition of the room and its furniture were not enough to figure this out, the fact that the contents of the filing cabinets were dated in the 1980s was enough.
“Fuck,” Nikki said, closing the last drawer as softly as she could. “I gotta get the fuck outta here cause these niggas is crazy.”
Nikki then looked into a small closet, finding that it was full of old uniforms from a company she’d never heard of. After being defeated with this part of the search, she looked at the desk. She didn’t know what she might find in it, but anything would be better than being completely helpless. Since her cell phone had been taken from her, and subsequently kept by Dante, she needed some form of protection in case the guy who was now stomping around upstairs in the store decided to do something that she couldn’t live with.
Nikki looked through the side drawers of the desk first. Much like the metal filing cabinet, these drawers were filled with paper. Nikki sifted through old order forms, which told her that the owner of this store did use this desk at some point. She’d found distribution contacts in numerous folders, as well as human resource documents for past workers.
When Nikki got to the long, thin drawer above where a person’s legs would be under the desk, she was in luck. After moving some papers and office supplies out of the way, she found a long, thin metal knife – a knife that obviously wouldn’t be used for cutting food. Upon further inspection, after pulling the knife out, she realized where she’d seen this kind of knife: at her grandmother’s house. Nikki remembered going to spend time with her grandmother at her house on the south side and how she’d watch her use a knife like this to open a letter.
Nikki quickly closed the desk drawer when she heard Edric’s footsteps coming back down the stairs. She made sure that each drawer, both in the desk and the filing cabinet, was closed. She also made sure that none one single corner of a piece of paper was hanging out before she plopped down on the couch. Just as Edric approached the door of the room, Nikki pushed the letter opener under the couch cushion and leaned back, trying to look as if she’d been relaxed the entire time it took him to go upstairs into the store.
Edric opened the door and looked at Nikki. After looking around the room, seeing that nothing was unusual, not that it really mattered because she wouldn’t be able to leave even if she wanted to, he stepped into the room.
“I brought these down for you,” he said, showing her a box of Teddy Grahams. “If you want something else, I can go up and get it for you.”
Sounding as sweet as she could, Nikki grabbed the box of Teddy Grahams and thanked him. As she opened the box then ripped the bag open, she noticed the way Edric stood in the doorway. He looked at her, looking her up and down and marveling at her anatomy.
“What?” Nikki asked, looking at him.
“I ain’t say nothin’,” Edric said, shrugging.
“Oh, okay,” Nikki said. “You was just lookin’ at me like you wanted something.” Her eyes then angled down to the bulge in his coat pocket – a bulge that was the gun he’d kept on him the entire time she’d been under his watchful eyes.
As Nikki ate the crackers, she sized Edric up once more. As she already learned from both the bedroom at the house and the alley behind, she knew that her physical strength was nothing in comparison to his. She could accept this and knew that she needed to use her femininity. Her body and looks had always been her ultimate tool, whether it worked in her favor, as it did with men anytime she went to the club, a restaurant, or a bar; or worked against her, such as the way some women became so jealous that they couldn’t take it and had to take their envy out on her. At this point, she wanted to use every card she could to not only get the hell out of here, but to also get Breon back. She often thought about the price she’d make him pay once they met eye to eye again. At times, her head shook for what seemed to be no apparent reason because her thoughts were so consumed with revenge.
“You lookin’ at me like you like what you see,” Nikki said, flirtatiously.
“I do,” Edric admitted, showing no guilt. “You a sexy ass chick. It’s a shame that nigga just ditched you like you was nothin’.”
“Yeah,” Nikki said, shrugging her shoulders. “That’s how niggas be. I can’t get no man to ever treat me right.”
“Now, come on,” Edric said, smiling. “I know what you probably think of me, but if I was your nigga, this shit woulda never happened to you. I always keep my women away from this bullshit ‘cause I know how shit like t
his happen.”
“Interesting,” Nikki said. “So, why you doin’ this?”
“What you mean?” Edric asked. “Like we told you, we try’na get this nigga Breon.”
“No, what I meant is why the fuck is you doin’ it,” Nikki said, speaking more specifically. “I mean, I know why that other dude, Dante, is try’na get Breon. Whatever y’all said about what happened with Pablo and shit. I get it, I really do. But what does all of this have to do with you? Why the fuck you goin’ along with doin’ that nigga’s dirty work for him? I mean, as far as I can see, you his little sidekick that do whatever he need done while he out runnin’ the streets and stuff, lettin’ you be out in the cold in case some shit pop off.”
“Naw, I ain’t that nigga’s sidekick,” Edric snapped back quickly. “Let’s just get that shit straight right now. I ain’t now and ain’t never been that nigga’s sidekick. If you wanna know the truth, that nigga wouldn’t be shit without me.”
“I know what you mean,” Nikki said. “I swear to God, I know what you mean. People wanna always act like they better than you. But you ain’t answer my question. Why you doin’ this?”
“’Cause,” Edric said, loosening up a little bit as he leaned against the wall by the doorway, “that nigga Dante got money.”
“Oh, do he?” Nikki asked, interested to hear the story.
“Yeah,” Edric said. “That nigga always had money, but he just got caught up in some shit ‘cause of that Breon nigga. Anyway, he breakin’ me off with a nice piece of change for helpin’ him and shit.” He smiled. “A real nice piece of change.”
“That’s right,” Nikki said. “That’s what I like in a nigga. I like a nigga that is about his money.”
“Oh, you do?” Edric said, smiling. He then cupped his crotch, as he felt his manhood growing in his pants. “That’s wassup.”
“Yeah,” Nikki said. “I was just askin’ ‘cause… never mind.”
“Naw, what?” Edric asked. “What is it? Why was you askin’ for real?”
“’Cause,” Nikki said, “I look at the way you two niggas move and stuff and somethin’ just don’t seem right. I mean, you really do seem like you smart and shit and I just wonder what the fuck is stoppin’ you from overrunnin’ that nigga and bein’ the nigga that I can see that you is.”
“Man, you know,” Edric said, feeling a little bashful. “My financial situation wasn’t all that great, so when he offered me this money, I was like yeah, I’ll do it and shit.”
“You betta hope that nigga don’t get you caught up in this shit,” Nikki said. “I mean, he had you at the house with me. You coulda got caught by the police or some shit. Then he had you runnin’ down the alley after you was watchin’ me in the car and shit… in your car. And now he got you here. I was thinkin’ what the fuck could be the point in him riskin’ getting’ caught up and shit for some otha nigga. That’s how I wound up in this shit I’m in. Sucked that nigga’s dick and let him get some pussy, and I was the one who got kidnapped.”
“Well, why you do that then?” Edric asked. “Why you let him get it for no reason?”
“’Cause,” Nikki said, looking away. “I mean, I like that. Ain’t no shame in what I do. I like doin’ that and I’m good at it.”
“You good at it?” Edric asked, feeling his manhood grow even harder in his pants.
“Yeah,” Nikki said. “Yeah, I am.” She smiled.
“Is that right?” Edric asked.
“Yeah,” Nikki said, “as often as I can. I know it make me sound like a hoe, which I’m not, but that’s the truth.”
Edric nodded. “That’s wassup,” he said. “For real, that’s wassup. I like a chick that can be honest about her shit and not act all stuck up and shit.”
“Naw, that ain’t me,” Nikki said. “I just was thinkin’ how I was startin’ to feel sorry for this dude because he got you doin’ everything like you his bitch or somethin’.”
“Fuck that nigga,” Edric said. “I mean, Dante is my nigga, but if I wasn’t gettin’ no money for this shit, I wouldn’t be doin’ it. I swear to God, I wouldn’t be doin’ this shit, but hey, what you gon’ do?”
“I feel you on that,” Nikki said. “So, do you gotta tell him everything that you do?”
“What you mean?” Edric asked. “What you mean do I gotta tell him everything I do?”
“I mean, I see the way you lookin’ at me and stuff and you actin’ like you can’t touch because your daddy gon’ get you or somethin’,” Nikki answered. She then giggled and added, “Naw, I’m just playin’.”
“Naw, I ain’t gotta ask him shit,” Edric said. “I don’t know why you would even say somethin’ like that. Like I said, I’m just doin’ this shit for the money.”
“Well, if you won’t tell, I won’t tell,” Nikki said, in a very suggestive way.
“Is that right?” Edric asked, now officially turned on. “You try’na suck on this dick?”
Nikki shrugged her shoulders. “I mean, you heard what I said,” she said. “But if you don’t want to, that’s cool too.”
Edric smiled and chuckled. He loved thick women, and he especially loved them when they were younger than him but not too young. The fact that this chick had already showed her sassy side was a big plus in his eyes. Casually, with a little swag in his walk, Edric stepped into the room and began to unzip his pants. Nikki looked at the growing bulge in Edric’s pants, seeing that she had really turned him on.
Once Edric walked up to Nikki and pointed at his manhood, Nikki pointed at the couch and the office chair. “Sit down,” she said. “I like to be on my knees.”
“Is that right?” Edric said. Quickly, he sat down in the office chair and leaned back. He pulled his pants down until they bunched around his ankles.
Nikki slid off of the couch and lowered herself down onto her knees. Edric looked at the chick as she leaned over his rock hard manhood. The way she arched her back and put that big ass up in the air made his dick throb.
“Fuck, you thick,” Edric said. He then leaned over and slapped her ass.
“Wait till you feel this mouth I got,” Nikki said, wrapping her hand around the base of Edric’s manhood, which she guessed to be a good seven inches with average thickness.
“Damn, is it like that?” Edric asked, happy that his boy Dante had left him to watch Nikki.
Rather than speaking, Nikki let her silence speak for her. She slid her hand up Edric’s stomach and pushed him back even further. Going with the flow, Edric leaned his head back and waited to feel Nikki’s mouth slide down his shaft.
Once Nikki saw that Edric’s eyes were faced toward the ceiling, she purposely made slurping noises. Curse words slipped out of Edric’s mouth as he waited in anticipation, almost feeling nervous. Just then, Nikki reached back and pulled the letter opener from under the couch cushion. In a swift move, she shoved the head of the letter opener into Edric’s lower stomach. Edric groaned and leaned over, grabbing his stomach.
“Shit!” Edric yelled, the blood gushing out of his stomach. “What the fuck you doin’?”
Nikki rammed the letter opener in and out of Edric’s stomach at least a half dozen times before her arm got tired. Never in her life had she thought she’d stab somebody, but today was the day all that would change. Breathing heavily, she backed away from Edric and watched as blood spilled out of his stomach.
“That’s what the fuck you get!” Nikki yelled, watching Edric slump out of the chair in pain. “Kidnap me cause you think I’m that nigga’s chick, when I ain’t even really the side chick. Fuck you, nigga!”
Tears rolled down Edric’s face as his eyes bulged. He could feel the life slipping out of him. The pain was just so great – so sharp. His vision had begun to blur as he watched Nikki walk over to the door. Before she stepped out into the hallway, she turned around and grabbed the office chair and hit Edric over the head with all of her energy. Edric groaned as his blood gushed out onto the concrete floor.
Throwing th
e chair to the side, Nikki headed upstairs. She wasn’t sure where she was going to go, especially since she didn’t have a coat. However, she knew that she was going to get the hell out of the building. As she passed the counter and looked at the body of the store owner on the ground, his feet sticking out from the side, she thanked God that she’d found a way to get herself out of the situation. She unlocked the entrance to the store and pushed out into the cold, windy weather. Nikki now was more than sure – now that she’d gotten free – that Breon would pay the ultimate price for what she went through. It was only a matter of time.
SNEAK PEEK: Wrath of the Side Chick 4
CHAPTER 1
Never in her life had Nikki been so happy to escape out into the bitter cold wind that gives Chicago its nickname – the Windy City. Upon bursting out of the store, she quickly put the image of the owner’s dead body, poking out from behind the counter, to the side. Her heart pumped. Her soul was riveting with the fear that only someone who had been held captive would have in them. She stepped out onto the sidewalk and, after looking both ways, turned right. At this point, the only thing she could do was go to the nearest place that she knew, which was Wayne’s house.
“I don’t fuckin’ believe this,” Nikki said, rubbing her arms. She walked down the street feeling more paranoid than she’d ever felt. If a car drove past her as she walked down the sidewalk, she felt as if the eyes of the driver and those inside were on her. She knew that she must have looked crazy because nobody in their right mind would walk down the street in Chicago during the winter months without wearing a coat. In fact, doing such would arguably be considered suicide. However, Nikki knew her appearance to other people would in no way mirror what she’d just been through. The fact of the matter was that if she had stayed in the basement of that store, there was simply no telling what could have happened to her. If that Dante guy and his buddy were bold enough to kidnap her and take her to a couple of secret locations, they could very well be bold enough to kill her and get rid of her body without anybody ever knowing.
