She smiled and kissed him, with tears in her eyes, she accepted his invitation, “Yes,” she said as her lips pressed into his. “I would love to make your home our home!”
He let out a huge sigh of relief, laid her down on the blanket and explored her warm mouth. He trailed his kisses onto her neck, the stubble on his face once again causing chill bumps.
“You want to take this upstairs?” he asked with the heat in his eye she had become accustomed to seeing when she knew what was about to happen.
“Oh, you have no idea,” she had longed for his kiss, touch and for him to make love to her again.
Jack blew out the candles, gathered everything into a bag and they walked hand in hand up to Jack’s suite.

Once in his room, Jack set the bag down, approached Berkleigh from behind and slowly unzipped her dress, it slid to the floor revealing no bra and beautiful white lace panties contrasting her deep tan.
“I saw you lying by the pool today. It took all of the self-control I had to not come offer to rub sunscreen all over your sexy body,” he whispered in her ear. His breath warm on her shoulder. From behind, he caressed her breasts as he kissed her neck. She arched her back into him, opened her mouth and let out a whimper.
He was making her weak in the knees. She could feel his hard bulge above her bottom. His hand trailed down her tight stomach and into her panties, his fingers instantly lubricated and slipped easily inside of her. Her knees buckled so he held her up with a muscular arm. She was throbbing around his fingers and needed to feel his hard erection slide deep inside of her.
“Jack,” she whispered breathily, “you’re slightly overdressed.”
“Let’s fix that,” he said his voice husky with lust.
He slid his finger out of her and quickly undressed himself as she turned and watched him reveal his incredible physique underneath his suit.
She climbed on his bed and laid on her back, he entered her with his generous length, desire and love was in her eyes. That’s what he wanted to see as he moved rhythmically in and out of her, she closed her eyes as her river flowed all over his hardness.
“Look at me Berk,” he said softly and out of breath. “I want to see the pleasure in your eyes.” She obeyed and the look she had sent him over the edge as they came together; Jack pulsated inside of her several times and she continued to moan with each thrust.
He laid to the side of her, with one of his arms wrapped around her. Both of their bodies were sweaty from their love making session, their hearts were beating rapidly.
“I love you, Berk,” he said, “You and only you.”
Her heart jumped as she remembered his serenade on the dance floor of the song. She was so in love with him, “I love you, too, Jack, more than you can imagine,” she kissed him as they lay together for a while without saying anything.
They showered and got in bed. The heart beat Berkleigh had longed for was hers again. She lay on his chest counting the beats until she fell asleep with a smile on her face. He kissed her head and fell asleep shortly after she did. He slept better that one night than he had the last 10 days combined.

Exactly one year to the day from when Jack and Berkleigh first met in the elevator in Hawaii, they were sitting in their rocking chairs on their back-porch sipping wine. Jack was smoking ribs. He had helped her move a week after the wedding and their relationship couldn’t be better. His home had quickly become their home.
He quit his job but continued to do freelance consulting for the CIA- for John’s team specifically. The FBI had also recently contracted him on a case that was successfully solved by Jack and a team of agents.
Berkleigh decided not to return to the corporate world, instead she pursued her dream of being a children’s author, something she had shared with Jack their first night at dinner in Hawaii. Her first book was about to be published.
Jack went into the house and returned with two glasses of champagne. He took her glass of wine from her hand and set it down.
“What’s this?” she inquired curiously, sitting in her rocking chair.
“We are celebrating,” he informed her. He was visibly shaking.
“Oh?” she asked. Her eyes grew wide and her hands covered her mouth as he dropped to one knee and held a black velvet box that displayed a beautiful two carat diamond ring.
“Berk,” he started as tears welled up in her eyes, “I love you more than life itself. You are my very best friend, and nothing would make me happier than if you would become my wife. I promise to always love you, cherish you and protect you. Will you marry me?”
Her finger was trembling as he placed the sparkling ring on her finger as she simultaneously nodded and said behind tears, “Nothing would make me happier, Jack,” accepting his proposal.
They kissed passionately celebrating their engagement. She looked down at her ring, it was a princess cut with diamonds surrounding the solitaire.
“It’s beautiful, Jack,” she complimented his selection for her engagement ring.
“The center diamond was my mother’s, she made me promise not to give it to a woman until I was certain she was the one.” he replied with tears in his eyes.
Neither of them had been as happy as they were in that moment in their home together-sitting on their porch with the smoker going, rocking in their chairs, holding hands while Jack rubbed the engagement ring on occasion. He could feel his mother smiling down on them.
They sat silently rocking and Jack whispered, “Until our wedding day, Babydoll.”
“I wish our wedding day was now,” she said smiling.
