“Not now, princess,” Faelwen repeated. He sent powerful coercions in an attempt to control her, but she was strong for a vampire and resisted them. She also matched him physically, causing him to break out in a sweat trying to contain her.

An animalistic sound erupted from her mouth while she thrashed. She wasn’t going to calm down with Ondre before her, so he did the only thing he could think of—he carried her out of the room. At the door, he looked to Ondre, “Finish what she ordered and get undressed. We’ll be right back.”

He didn’t release her until they were locked behind a one-foot thick door. She attacked him with a force had them both colliding with the stone floor in a matter of seconds. Deandra kneeled on his thick chest while she shredded his shirt at the same time. He allowed it because he knew she needed to get her aggression out of her system before she could complete her entertainment. He also recognized she needed to feed, and allowing her this control let her think she was taking it from him. If she became belligerent, he knew he could overpower if he needed to.

She snarled, spraying spit with each guttural sound. She was beyond crazed and launched herself at his neck, biting deep without care or coercions. She was sloppy, making loud sounds from her feeding, but it was enough. She didn’t care about technique and only wanted to ease the burn in her throat.

Faelwen felt his cock swell with the amount of endorphins she sent into her venom. She wasn’t holding back at all, and he knew he’d explode any moment if she continued much longer. A blissful moan leaked out but he didn’t stop her. He couldn’t. This felt too good.

The more blood she pulled into her mouth and swallowed, the calmer she became. Faelwen tasted incredible and his blood was soothing. The fact that he was emotionally calm had a positive effect on her mind and soul. The more she drank, the more pronounced the effect. When she’d taken enough and her mind cleared from the haze, she allowed herself to acknowledge he’d just saved her from making a colossal mistake. In her craze, she almost killed Ondre before the fun started. She adjusted, pausing in mid-motion.

He was aroused and the evidence pressed against her body. The feeling of that pulsing heat created a new craze and not one of blood lust. Instead of acting on that just yet, she looked into his face, smirking. “Thank you for stopping me, Faelwen.”

“You’re welcome.” He moaned because she was now forcefully stroking him through is pants and it was driving him to distraction. “You going to do something about that?” he asked.

“Mmmm, thinking about it,” she purred.

“Think hard,” he added with a slight smile on his face. “Time is running away from us.”

She pulled his pants open quickly and released his body to her attentions. She wore a long flowing dress which made reaching under the fabric and removing her undergarments easy. She accomplished that action in one swift pull. The shredded material pooled at her bent knees while she continued to kneel over her dark-skinned vampire.

Her actions amused him. He toyed with the shredded fabric, pulling it away completely with a teasing gleam in his eye. He was ready to play.

Freed at last, she climbed up on his lap and speared herself in a powerful thrust which had him screaming out in pleasure. Faelwen had not expected the explosive feeling as her tight hot body surrounded him. When her hips moved, he moaned rhythmically, timed to her pace.

“You like that?” she whispered down at him, leaning on her arms that were now on either side of his head. When he nodded, she leaned down further and kissed him hard, demanding, he responded.

Faelwen reacted by grabbing her hips and thrusting into her body, driving deeper and pushing her hard. Throwing her head back, Deandra howled in pleasure, caught between pain and pleasure. Her head bobbed to his rhythm, letting go of her control. Gone was her searing need to dominate and it was replaced with a searing need to be dominated.

He set the pace and she followed, riding him in a violent dance. She was extremely aroused and the moisture from her body spread across his groin and thighs, causing slapping sounds each time their bodies collided. The sounds added to the erotic meeting and fueled her craze. Deandra was utterly lost.

Faelwen continued like this for a few more moments. He needed to be completely in charge now; he needed to dominate. Releasing a snarl, he separated them and had her on all fours in the next breath. He drove back into her within another. Deandra was beside herself. Kaen was a vicious lover, but this was different. This was filled with a raw, hungry passion that left her craving more. Deandra reacted by matching his furious motions, screaming aloud each time they collided.

The orgasm he pulled from her body tore at her senses and sent thousands of tingling quakes to cause her body to tremble violently. He wasn’t done though. He wanted more from this blonde beauty and he was going to take it. He pushed through her release and picked up his pace again. He was rewarded for his actions when he felt the signs of a second release right on the heels of the first.

They were both spent when he followed her moments later. Their sweaty bodies lay curled against one another on the cold stone floor. She suddenly realized that the sound of their activity was probably loud enough to be heard in the outer room. For some reason, that realization was hysterical to Deandra and she couldn’t hold the laugh back as it erupted forth. Oh, what must Ondre be thinking at the moment!

Ondre paled when he heard her scream followed by Faelwen’s wild howl. Before, he’d been confident she’d not do anything stupid, however that sound. They were not human anymore and he grasped that the sister he could control was gone, her humanity with her. He looked between the closed door and the vampires staring dangerously at him, and felt his skin turn cold. Ondre felt the terror of the moment descend as he finally realized just how insane his sister was. Making her a vampire only enhanced it. It was in that moment that King Ondre, the mighty leader of Kimber, accepted he was about to die.

Back in the room, Faelwen gave her a firm slap on her bare buttocks before he moved away. “You should be better now.”

The smirk he gave her while he got dressed made her laugh. She liked Faelwen, a lot. She’d developed quite the craving, which rivaled what she felt for Kaen. While watching him tuck in his shirt, she reveled in the fact both these men would be excellent entertainment for all eternity for sure.

Greedy, that’s what I am, she thought. She’d fulfill all her desires between the two and never be wanting. It was almost too good to be true!

She rolled to her side, still tracking him as he moved around the room now, “Indeed. Again, thank you.” Deandra wasn’t able to stand yet. Faelwen had this effect on her and she just couldn’t recover from their experiences quickly. “I would have killed him quickly,” she added.

“I know. But you didn’t. Now go have fun, princess.” He held out his hand and pulled her into his arms, pressing her body tight against his firm frame. He barely let her feet touch the floor while he kissed her deeply. One last caress of the woman before the vampire came out to play.

She pulled away forcefully, but he held her tight, “If you keep doing that, we won’t leave this room.” Deandra felt his smile on her cheek just before he sighed, finally releasing her to wobble while she found her legs. “There.” She announced once she was steady, “I’m ready.”

“Then let’s go have some fun.” He pulled open the door after he glided to the enclosure. “Just show better manners next time, all right?”

“I’ll try to behave.” She caressed his dark cheek as she passed by then paused, “I’ll also reward you later for this. I really do appreciate your assistance.”

“Excellent, Milady.” He dipped his head, “Now go play.”

  Chapter Sixteen

Deandra emerged from the room to find Kaen leaning against the far wall of the hallway opposite the door she exited. The blonde woman
skidded to a halt surprised to see him here.

“Kaen.” She cast a guilty look over her shoulder into the room before she met his inquisitive stare.

“Something bothering you, dearest?” His smirk informed her he knew something. How exactly would he react if he knew what Faelwen had done without his permission to quell her crave? She’d learned that where Kaen was tolerant of others enjoying her, he preferred to give permission first.

“I wasn’t expecting you here,” Deandra laid on her more seductive charms and moved into his embrace, doing her best performance that nothing was wrong.

He couldn’t take it any longer, “Oh, calm down. I already talked with Faelwen. I’m not upset in the least bit.” He pulled her back from his body, “Did you have fun?”

A large smile split her face as she evaluated his reaction. His dark eyes were warm with amusement and affection. “Yes, I did.”

As she leaned in to hug him, he pulled her close and circled her petite frame in his thick arms. “It is as you wished, love. He appears to be have been mauled by a wolf or cougar. No one will question it.”

Nestling her face in his neck, she inhaled his wonderful scent which caused her blood to heat up instantly. He had that effect on her. He was her most favorite addiction after all. “Are you happy now, dearest?”

Kaen couldn’t help but react to her now that she was in his arms and pulled her closer, grinding his firmness into her lush body. “Oh, yes. I was waiting for you to finish so I could show you just how happy I really am.”

Faelwen leaned against the door frame watching this reunion and smiled. He felt a twinge of jealously then sighed. At least he could enjoy her every now and then. Kaen wasn’t an exclusive lover; he wasn’t so possessive he wouldn’t share. At least with those in his good favor, that is. He’d just have to stay on his good side. “She was good. Look at her. She wasn’t messy in any way.” He chuckled at the fact Deandra didn’t have a drop of blood on her. “Actually, it was a little unnerving just how much of a natural she was, to be honest.”

Kaen shifted her but didn’t release his tight hold on his wife. He moved just enough so he could eye Faelwen though her blonde tresses. “I had no doubt.” Through the door, Kaen saw the body of Ondre on the table. From his vantage point, he could only see the shredded torso. The door frame blocked the rest of the view, but from what he could see, she had indeed excelled in making it look like an animal attack.

“Now, love, let the fun begin.” He kissed her firmly, tasting her excitement in her hot mouth and greedily drank in the flavor. She was ready for his attentions and returned his kiss with a heated passion of her own. Against her lips he gave one last order, “Faelwen, you know what to do. Ensure it happens.”

“Aye. I’ll report back to you in an hour.”

“Excellent.” Kaen picked Deandra up in his arms and teleported back to his room where he immediately ordered a hot bath as a reward. When he had her comfortable and relaxed, he gave her a look of pure wickedness, “Now dear, tell me all about it.”

Dace stood at the door to their room listening to the sounds of movement outside in the main room. It sounded like there was a gathering going on and he wasn’t ready to open the door to face anyone yet. He cracked the door and peeked out instead and the sight that met him was staggering. Elves. A lot of elves.

He’d partially ignored them when the fight took place, but now he paid attention. They flowed through the room, talking quietly amongst themselves waiting for something or some order. The space was crowded and that increased his apprehension about going out there. These elves are the only reason they were alive and it shamed him. He couldn’t even protect the women he cared for and he’d never felt this useless before.

A tall blonde woman entered and everyone paused, giving her their undivided attention. She said a few words in her language, wearing a large smile on her face that relaxed the group further. Was this Cuilwen? Was this the woman Talon had risked everything to go collect?

She turned to look in Dace’s direction suddenly, as if she knew he was thinking of her. A half smile played on her lips before she approached the door, stopping a few feet from where he stood. “I sense you there,” she said in perfect form, as if she’d been speaking his language all along.

Knowing he was discovered, he looked back to the bed where Lainey still slept and decided what the hell. He opened the door and stood face to face with the stunning woman and paused.

“Um.” He cleared his throat slightly unsettled by her presence. From a distance she wasn’t so dominating; this close she was intimating. “Uh, I’m Dace,” he finally stammered out.

Her head listed to the side and that half smile appeared again, “I’m called Cuilwen. You must be the mate of Talon’s orphan.” Her voice was soft, musical and flowery.

At the mention of Lainey, Dace looked behind him quickly. “Yes, I’m her mate.” He liked the sound of that. Better than betrothed or husband. After being around Talon and Kailani, the mate signified so much more.

Cuilwen tried to looked past him and caught a glimpse of a woman curled in a ball on the bed, but could not tell if she was hurt or needed healing. “I haven’t checked on her yet. Was she injured?”

“No,” he shook his head, “Her emotions are a little shattered at the moment, though. I think she’ll be fine when she wakes up.” He paused, “At least I’m hoping she will.”

“Strong women,” she mumbled under her breath loud enough to catch Dace’s ears.

  “Excuse me?”

“Strong women. Talon has surrounded himself with strong women.” She repeated. “Why am I not surprised?” Cuilwen smiled and nudged her head in Lainey’s direction. “Talon is a prince, Dace. It is understandable he would choose women like this to be his family. I shouldn’t be surprised, but I am.” A sad smile suddenly played across her face changing the mood, “I guess a part of me hoped he would miss our kind and come home one day. After seeing the quality of people he’s partnered with, I lose hope he ever will.”

Dace again looked at the woman he loved curled on the bed and felt a flash of pride for his tiny pixy vampire. Cuilwen called her strong and she was right. The elf maiden still stood watching him, so he turned back, “I guess I should find you lodgings. I can get four to a room unless more can sleep in the main room, then I can get six or seven. What do you prefer?”

“Six or seven in a room would be fine. When we are in training, we sleep closer than that, so this will be a decadent treat.”

“Very well. I’ll see to that now.” As he closed the door behind him, he paused, “Thank you for coming. I’m not sure we would be standing here now if you had not.”

“Thank Prince Talon, Dace. I only followed. He led the way.” She added a sigh of respect by touching her forehead with her fingers. “He was quite anxious to return and I see he had good reason.”

She fell in step with Dace when he emerged to go in search of both Omar and Adara to see if they could help with the arrangements. “What took so long, by the way?” Dace asked as they entered the hallway outside his room.

“Iondwë Daerwen never does anything quickly. He first wanted to discover who was missing. That took time.” The sound of the elven word mixed with his tongue sounded so foreign, reminding him just how out of place these people were. He would need to remember that when selecting rooms so they would feel neither isolated nor ostracized.

“Mmm. That delay nearly destroyed Kailani,” he added.

“So I understand. Talon was overcome a few times with her pain. I can only imagine the severity of it since he felt it across such a distance.”

  Dace stumbled. “He…he felt her?”

“Yes, he did. That was what finally decided Iondwë Daerwen’s mind. Talon felt the last moments of her life and was beside himself in agony. I think a father’s love won out.
” She smiled to herself as if hiding a secret. “I’m just glad he did or I’m not sure the prince would be here today.”

“I disagree. Talon is too stubborn to die that easily and I fear none in this castle would be alive if she died. He would raze the entire city to the ground in retaliation,” he chuckled.

Cuilwen watched this man out of the corner of her eye, “You know his character well.”

“He’s been persistent in forcing his will upon me. I’ve had no choice,” he smiled back.

“Yes, he can be an ass.” They had entered the stairwell, so her voice echoed off the walls in a lyrical fashion. Dace tried not to become too distracted as she gracefully descended at his side, because she frankly was intimidating.

Then she laughed, pounding his back in camaraderie. Dace suddenly relaxed, realizing she wasn’t intimidating after all. When he turned to look at her, he felt an immediate friendship and let go of any residual reservations about her character. No wonder Talon had loved her all those years ago. Oh no, what was this going to do to Kailani? She didn’t need the complications at the moment. He slowed when they neared the next level on the stairs, “Cuilwen, you are not going to interfere with Talon and Kai are you?”

She sighed, “I should. He was technically mine first, but I won’t. I’ve spent the past two weeks learning about his life since his banishment and all I’ve heard day in and day out was ‘Kailani this’ or ‘Kailani that’. No, I think I would lose that battle. I would fall short in that competition.” Her stunning face frowned in sadness or regret, he couldn’t tell. “I’ll let him go as he’s chosen his own path now.”

Dace actually felt sorry for her, but he was relieved to hear those words. “I’m impressed by your wisdom and sorry for your loss,” he offered.
