One Night with Calvin (One Night Series Book 2)

I loved how jealous she was. “The minute I saw you on my doorstep, I was done.”
“Promise?” Her request was so quiet, I almost missed it.
I swallowed hard and let out a croaky “Cross my heart.”
Then she kissed me.

His tongue swept into my mouth. My hands wandered down his taut chest and abs before gripping the collar of his shirt and pulling him closer to me.
My butt inched its way to the edge of the chair where his hips met mine, and his erection ground against me.
Four years since we’d been together, yet our bodies melded to one another as if it were second nature. Each roll of his hips sent a powerful spasm through me. I was ready to unravel with the lightest of friction.
I needed our clothes gone. I needed him inside me.
“Fuck,” he cursed, pulling away from me. “I’ve barely touched you and I’m ready to explode.”
Breathing heavy, I tried to pull him back to my mouth, but he resisted.
“Going slow. I promised.” He stood and reached into his pants to rearrange himself. “I’m going to go get the gym bag I keep in my car, get changed, and go for a run. You interested?”
“A run?” I asked in a breathy voice that didn’t sound like my own.
“Yes. I have a whole lot of pent-up sexual frustration I need to pound out on the pavement … wait … that sounds like I said I’m going to fuck the sidewalk, didn’t it.” He waved my hand dismissively. “You knew what I meant. I hope.”
“You don’t have to go for a run to get that out …” Still breathless, my proposition didn’t sound nearly as confident as I meant it.
“Nope. I’m going to do right by you.”
“But I—”
“Stop protesting my protest before I change my mind and take you right now.” He was out the door before I could tell him that was exactly what I wanted.
I grumbled, but it only took a minute to calm down and figure out he was right. He was doing what I asked of him.
I decided to join him on the run, also hoping it’d kill my sexual charge. Going slow was the logical thing to do, and yet, five minutes in, I was willing to throw my request in the hamper, along with my clothes and my two-year self-inflicted dry spell.
I went into my room and grabbed my workout gear—tight yoga pants and exercise crop top—and headed for the bathroom. I changed quickly and then decided to give my teeth a brush.
Halfway through I heard “Oh, hell no,” come from behind the closed bathroom door. “You so better not be getting it on with Bob in there while I’m out here hard as a fucking iron bar.”
I laughed and opened the door to find Ryan’s face relax at the sight of my electric toothbrush hanging out of my mouth.
“Good. If I don’t get to come, you don’t get to come.”
I turned and spat my toothpaste in the sink. “Are you trying to get all alpha on me? Telling me when I can and can’t come? Because I gotta say, I will come whenever I damned well please. Whether it’s by your hand or my own.” I gave him my best smug face.
His mouth hung agape. “You haven’t forgiven me at all, have you? You’ve set out to blatantly torture me with mental images. Is this some kind of plan to murder me with blue balls?”
“Is it working?”
He stepped into my space and took my mouth, even though I hadn’t rinsed yet. My butt pushed up against the vanity as he stepped forwards, and my toothbrush fell out of my hand and onto the floor. It was going to need a new brush head now, but in that moment, I didn’t care. It was so worth it.
Ryan’s hand ran down my side and cupped my ass over my exercise pants.
Stepping away, he broke us apart. “Okay, new plan. You need to leave the room while I take the edge off.”
My brows scrunched as I tried to figure out what he meant. “Are you saying you want to …”
“Well, I can’t exactly go for a run like this, can I?” he said, stepping back farther and gesturing to the impressive tent in his tight dress -pants.
“I could help,” I suggested, reaching for his belt.
“Nope.” He took another step back. “And if you expect me to keep my hands off you, you have to at least play fair.”
I was not so secretly enjoying watching him get frustrated.
“I don’t see you leaving.”
“I want to watch,” I said, lifting myself onto the wide vanity and scooting so my back was against the mirror and my legs were spread wide.
He smirked. He liked the idea as much as I did.
I wasn’t shy about asking for things I wanted in the bedroom. The last time we were together, I was but not anymore. I supposed I had Danny to thank for that. Because of him, I knew what I liked and wasn’t afraid of saying it aloud. In that moment, I was reminded of the night Ryan and I spent together and the way he was stroking himself in my shower while I washed myself.
I wanted to see it again.
He stepped closer, his eyes alight with heat. His left hand went to the vanity beside my right leg, while his right hand undid his belt and pants. Where I was expecting his underwear to peek through the top, all I saw was skin and a smatter of hair.
My brow furrowed in thought.
“What’s wrong?” he asked, pausing his hand.
“I’m wondering if you ever wear underwear. I remember you going commando the first time we met too.”
He smiled. “I don’t wear it if I don’t have to.”
“You’re an underwear model who hates wearing underwear?”
“Pretty much.” His pants fell to the floor with a flick of his wrist, but his gaze never left me.
My eyes, however, trailed down and were disappointed to find his unbuttoned shirt was hanging in the way of my view. I leaned forwards and ran my hands over his shoulders and under the edges of his shirt. He took over, stripping it off so it fell next to his pants that were pooled at his ankles.
My mouth was watering but felt dry at the same time. His body hadn’t changed in four years and still had the ability to short circuit my brain.
I subconsciously licked my lips while my gaze raked over his long, hard length.
He groaned, forcing my eyes away to meet his. His expression was pained, as if he was trying to contain himself. His right hand lazily began stroking his erection as his lips parted slightly.
I smiled wide as my fingers went to the waistband of my yoga pants and started tugging them down.
His left hand grabbed one of my wrists. “What are you doing?” he asked through gritted teeth.
“What, you think I’m going to let you have all the fun? Don’t worry, I won’t touch you, and I won’t break my stupid rule. Right now, I can’t even remember the reason I made it in the first place.”
He laughed and released my hand.
I lowered my pants and my underwear to my knees and then made my way to the edge of the vanity and leaned back against the mirror as my fingers trailed down my body.
Ryan’s sharp intake of breath made me pause. He circled the head of his cock with his hand, spreading a pearly white drop of pre-come down his shaft.
I lowered my hand and rubbed my clit, enjoying watching Ryan’s heated gaze turn fiery.
“I’m not going to last long,” he said, increasing the speed of his strokes.
“First time never counts, right?” I said between panting.
His eyes held mine as more memories of our night together greeted me. I was almost certain he was remembering the same thing.
I moved my hand so my thumb was on my clit and two fingers went to my entrance, but I knew it wasn’t going to be enough. Not with the smouldering look Ryan was giving me and the way his hand gripped on tighter and pumped his erection faster. He was close.
Knowing this was going to go quick, I needed some help to get me there faster. I leaned forwards and opened my top drawer, reaching towards the back for my little black bag.
“What are you looking for?
”
“Shower Bob,” I answered simply, pulling it out of the drawer. Pink, silicone, and waterproof. I had Bob inside me faster than a groupie could have their boobs out at Coachella. I was so wet that he slid right in with no resistance.
I flicked on the vibrating function, and my whole body was on the verge of bursting into flames. A finger went back to rubbing my clit, and my head fell backwards, hitting the mirror behind me with a loud thud, but I felt no pain.
“Fuck, there’s more than one Bob?” he ground out.
“Uh-huh.” I practically choked on the word my mouth was so dry. “Bedroom Bob and Shower Bob.”
“I’d be jealous of both Bobs if you didn’t look so fucking hot right now.”
I forced myself to lift my head and meet his eyes. His hand was pumping fast, and the sight made the intensity between my legs pulse even harder.
“Jesus Christ, I can see your hard nipples through your top.”
His left hand was gripping the vanity next to me, and his knuckles were almost white. I reached for it and brought it up to my breast.
“I’m not meant to touch—” he started.
“I need it,” I pleaded.
He squeezed my breast over my tight workout top with the perfect amount of pressure—not hard, but definitely not gentle—and ran his thumb over my nipple. My shudder caused him to swear under his breath and shoot his load all over my sink.
I was so close. So fucking close. The sight of him coming only brought me closer to the edge.
As Ryan continued to convulse, he pinched my nipple, causing ripples to spasm through my entire body.
I writhed, holding Bob inside me and simultaneously pressing down on my clit.
Finally, I relaxed with a half-moan, half-grunt sound and opened my eyes to find Ryan directly in front of me, his brown eyes pinning me in place.
“Hottest thing I’ve ever seen.”
“Ditto,” I said breathlessly.
He leaned in and kissed me deep.
I pulled Bob out of me and set him on the counter beside us. My arms snaked around Ryan and pulled him closer.
His mouth owned mine. He tasted like the Ryan I met four years ago, even though there was no scotch or saltwater in his system. It was familiar; he was familiar.
I opened to him, sucking on his tongue as it entered my mouth.
With a small moan, his lips pulled away, but his forehead remained against mine. “How about that run?”
“Didn’t we just take care of your frustration problem?”
“Yeah, and then you kissed me like that.” He looked down, gesturing to his semi-hard cock.
“Again?”
“Told you it’d only take the edge off. I’ll clean up here and get dressed so we can go before Little Hunter becomes a bigger problem again.”
I laughed as I climbed off the vanity and bent to bring my panties and yoga pants back up.
“You’re supposed to defend Little Hunter, not laugh.”
I laughed again and left the bathroom, leaving him to clean himself—and hopefully my sink.
“Way to crush a dude’s ego,” he called after me.
“We’ve already been through this. Your ego’s big enough to take a hit,” I replied.

We ran for a few K’s and at first, I didn’t think we had a particular destination. But when Ryan took a right and led us down a familiar street to the canal, I knew exactly where he had in mind.
Our strides became longer and we moved faster towards the beach where Ryan took my virginity.
“The scene of the crime,” I panted when we reached it, collapsing on the sand onto my back.
“The crime of you not telling me what I was doing?”
A grin spread across my face. “Yup. That one.”
I sat up and shook the sand from my hair as Ryan sat next to me. We were both breathing heavy.
It was completely dark out now, but the chill was surprisingly absent considering it was the end of winter. Perhaps spring was coming sooner this year.
“You’re pretty fit. Even Cole wouldn’t have lasted a run that long. I stopped asking him to train with me because he slows me down. Well, that, and I usually work out in the morning and he hates getting up early.”
“I have to keep in shape somehow and I hate sport. Running is the only exercise I’m good at. I’m five-two so if I put on a few kilos, it looks like I’ve put on ten.”
He wrapped his arm around me and pulled me closer. “You could put on a hundred kilos, and it wouldn’t matter to me.”
“You say that now. It’d be different if it happened and you were surrounded by other models all day.”
He reached under my chin and tilted my face to look at him. “You still don’t get it, do you? You’re it for me.”
“How can you say that, though? We barely know each other. I don’t even know why everyone calls you Hunter instead of Ryan.”
“I know it’s super early to be saying shit like that, but I’ve always known. The last time we were on this beach, I made a promise to myself that I was going to make you fall in love with me. I plan to follow through on that promise. Even if my work is cut out for me.” He smiled, and I knew he’d already torn down a piece of the wall surrounding my heart.
But in true Sara fashion … “You’re gonna make me fall in love with you? That kinda sounds like emotional rape.”
He laughed. “It does, doesn’t it. Still doesn’t change the fact it’s going to happen. You’re going to fall head over heels in love with me.”
“Under coercion,” I mumbled.
He laughed harder.
“Okay, you need to explain the name thing. Why does everyone call you Hunter?” I asked. It’d been bugging me for weeks.
“So, my mum’s maiden name was Ryan, and Mum and Dad agreed to have it in my name somewhere. They both loved the name Hunter, but Hunter Ryan was apparently too tongue-twisty because of the R at the end of Hunter and the beginning of Ryan. They reckoned Ryan Hunter flowed better. But they always intended to call me Hunter.”
“That’s … kinda weird, but cool at the same time.”
“School was a nightmare. Most teachers called me Ryan even when I told them I preferred Hunter, and then they got angry at me when I didn’t respond to the name.”
“And you went to school with Cole and Reece, right?”
He cocked an eyebrow.
“Trying to get the ‘don’t know each other well’ thing out of the way,” I clarified.
“Ah.” He nodded. “Yeah, I went to school with Reece and Cole. And Spence. Oh, and also Pip and Blair who were at our table today.”
“It’s pretty crazy you guys are all still friends. I think Lana’s the only person I still talk to from school.”
He shrugged. “We make the effort. We all still meet up once a week at the local pub—”
“Yeah, I know. Paige told me.”
“She’s told me a lot about you, you know. Of course, when she mentioned her best friend, Sara, I didn’t think much of it. How common is the name Sara? But, I guess I should’ve put two and two together when I found out she was in law school.”
“I knew Cole lived with a male model, so Paige told me stories about you too. Not all of the stories were flattering. I didn’t think it was you because of the name confusion thing.” I let out a little laugh.
“So, about what I said about her a few weeks back—”
I shook my head. “It’s cool. I know you’re not into my best friend. Although, today I wasn’t so sure until Cole turned up. I feel bad for even thinking it.”
“It’s true I was drawn to Paige in the beginning. I liked her from the start. But it wasn’t until she brought you to my doorstep that I realised why.”
“Ugh. You’re not going to go all Twilight on me, are you?”
His brow furrowed. “Twilight?”
“Yeah, you know, the only reason Jacob was drawn to Bella in the first place was because of the crazy-looking CGI baby. B
ella led Jacob to Renesmee.”
“Uh … I can honestly say I have no idea what you’re talking about, but sure. It sounds the same.” He shrugged.
“Speaking of weird babies … Spence and Reece made one,” I said. We hadn’t really talked about the insane events of the day.
“Hopefully not a crazy-looking CGI baby,” he joked.
“I’m glad she got her karma for the Paige and Cole thing, but … I actually feel sorry for her.”
“You feel sorry for Reece?”
“Don’t tell Paige I said that. What Reece did to break Cole and Paige up was wrong, but looking at it from her perspective, it was a pretty fucked-up situation.”
“I can understand her not wanting her ex to be with her stepdaughter. That is fucked up,” he said. “But she was cheating on Paige’s dad. If you ask me, she brought this shit all on herself.”
“I agree. But I have to wonder why she cheated in the first place. I know I’d totally lose best friend points by saying this, and I’m ninety percent on Paige and Cole’s side, but there’s that ten percent that wonders why Reece has done the things she’s done. Surely, there’s a deeper reason than she’s just a bitch.”
He smiled the warmest smile I’d ever seen on anyone.
It made heat rise to my cheeks. “Or maybe that’s my naïve view on the world. I want there to be a reason for why people do bad things. I know it’s not always the case though.”
“Just when I thought I couldn’t like you more.” He closed the tiny gap between us, bringing our mouths together in a soft kiss. It only lasted a few seconds before he pulled back. “I like your naïve look at the world. Maybe you should’ve become a psychologist instead of a lawyer.”
“No way. My idealist theory would probably be debunked by countless studies that show people are, in fact, assholes for no reason.”
His warm smile never left his face as he turned away and looked out at the calm water of the canal.
Crickets chirped in the darkness, and sitting there with Ryan, listening to the water lap against the anchored boats in the channel, the moment was perfection.
We may’ve been talking about shitty people and their actions, but there was nowhere I wanted to be more.
“We were assholes for no reason at one point,” he said.
