A Fairy's Embrace

‘And what about the men?’
‘Oh, I’d say they’re of much higher quality than where I come from too.’ And Persius winked at him.
‘You aren’t from a small town, are you?’
Persius seemed to have had too much ease seducing him to have come from somewhere as closed-minded and closed-off as he was making his hometown sound, but who knew, maybe small towns were still a good place to get laid and hone your bedroom skills – skills which were, at least in Persius’s case, about as honed as they could possibly get, Caden thought with a slight smile.
‘What are you smiling about?’ Persius asked him, bringing Caden out of his thoughts and back into the room.
Caden shook his head. ‘Nothing much, but you were going to tell me about where you were from.’
‘I’d rather not talk about it too much. Even with my … distance with my family, I still already find myself missing it somewhat. It was beautiful practically year-round, with wonderful access to nature – ponds, forests, gardens, the ocean, you name it. And I did have some good friends there too. Shebylle, for one – she’s lovely, very generous, and so beautiful too, not that she’s my type or anything,’ Persius said with a slight laugh. ‘Nor am I hers.’
‘I’m actually originally from around here and, sadly, we have almost nothing here like the natural wonderland you’re used to. A few parks, and that’s it.’ Then Caden found himself saying, ‘One near my apartment is actually pretty nice. Maybe I’ll show it to you some time.’
‘I’d like that,’ Persius replied. He drained the last of his beer and placed it on the table. ‘But can you guess what I’d rather do right now?’ His voice had deepened, and it didn’t take Caden much guessing to figure out what he meant.
‘Well?’ Caden asked with a lascivious grin.
Persius pulled him up from the couch and kissed him – only once, but the kiss lasted for several seconds, and Caden lost himself in it. He was incredibly hard by the time Persius pulled his lips away, lips which Persius now opened to say, ‘Follow me.’ Caden didn’t want to do anything else in that moment, so he did as Persius suggested, following him back behind the elegant screen and onto a large mattress covered with incredibly soft sheets. But they weren’t as soft as Persius’s lips, or his skin, more and more of it coming to be pressed against Caden’s own bare skin, as piece after piece of clothing came off and was thoughtlessly tossed aside. Finally, nothing separated the two of them, and Caden looked up at Persius. ‘OK, what now?’
Persius laughed. ‘I think now is the part where I get out a condom and one or the other of us gets a big, hard dick up his ass. Any suggestions as to who gives and who receives?’
‘Well, I’ve been thinking about your ass pretty much non-stop, so unless you don’t like having your ass fucked …’
‘I don’t know who could have possibly given you that idea, but I now have a personal vendetta against them. They’ll be getting angry letters in the mail for years, I tell you.’
Caden ducked out from underneath Persius and smacked his ass. ‘Well, what are you waiting for, then? Where are your condoms and lube?’
‘In the … Next to the bed,’ Persius said, reclining onto the spot where Caden had previously been lying. But Caden was up now, and headed toward where the condoms lay – the condoms he was desperate to get his hands on.
They were right next to where Caden’s head had been – he was surprised that he hadn’t noticed them there, because with their hot pink and gold packaging, they were hard to miss. He picked one up and tore the wrapper with his teeth – he really couldn’t wait very much longer to have his way with this young man’s ass. He’d been dreaming about it all day, after all, and now the moment was here, the moment where he’d get to fulfil all those fantasies. Caden rolled on the condom and then grabbed the lube – the words “Fairy Lube” were printed on the bottle, with a tiny, winged man holding a wand beneath them.
‘Cute lube you have here,’ Caden said as he opened the bottle, spreading a generous amount of the lubricant onto his dick.
‘Thanks,’ Persius said, then gasped as Caden yanked his hips up into the air. Now his ass was at the perfect level, and Caden paused for a moment, just admiring it, running the palms of his hands over each full cheek, then softly running his thumbs only inches away from Persius’s hole. His touch seemed to send a shudder through Persius’s body, a shudder which drove Caden to inch his fingers even closer to Persius’s asshole.
‘You gonna fuck me or not?’ Persius said, his voice soft but wanting.
‘I will … Right now. Do you need some warming up first?’ Caden really hoped the answer would be no.
It was. ‘No, not at all – I can take you right now if you want.’
Do I ever! So Caden ever so slowly began easing his cock into Persius. Just the tip at first, which spread Persius’s asshole open only a little. Then he began to drive himself further in, the length of his dick slipping inside Persius with almost no resistance whatsoever. And God, this had been worth waiting for … This had been practically worth a lifetime of waiting, Caden thought, a thought which surprised him a little. But that surprise, as well as all his other thoughts, faded into pure pleasure, as Caden was now in up to his balls, his dick deep inside Persius.
Persius gasped as Caden began to fuck him. At first, he just fucked him slowly, even thought he was lusting after something harder. But he knew this teasing – this gentleness he was starting with – was utterly and completely worth it. This was just leading up to the good stuff, and Caden loved being teased, loved the fact that he was moving as slow as honey, moving slowly despite his intense temptation to just drive his cock in and out of Persius. Persius, though, seemed to have other plans, because just then he shoved his ass up against Caden, driving his cock all the way in. Caden took it as a sign that Persius wanted him to speed up, that he wanted Caden’s cock to pump in and out instead of just the slow tease that was happening right now.
‘You implying I should speed up?’ Caden asked, placing his hands on Persius’s hips.
‘Yes, please … Fast, hard, that’s what I want.’
‘Your wish is my command.’ Caden began to do just as Persius had requested, beginning to fuck him fast and hard, like he wanted. Persius shifted a little underneath him, placing his hand on his dick, his actions almost driving Caden over the edge as he watched Persius’s arm begin to pump up and down.
‘Harder,’ Persius gasped, ‘Much harder – trust me, I can take it!’ Harder it was, then – Caden sped up his pace, slamming his hips against Persius’s ass, spreading him wide with each deep thrust. And then Caden felt his orgasm coming on, and knew he was going to come before Persius even got close. Poor guy, was Caden’s last thought before he stiffened up and came.
After his absolutely amazing orgasm ended, Caden was more than a little exhausted. He collapsed onto Persius, panting against his warm, soft back. ‘You want me to … get you off … once I catch my … breath?’
‘No, it’s fine. You can just owe me one.’
‘Sure thing.’ Caden couldn’t help it – he had a large, happy grin on his face as he pulled out.’ I really owe you one, Persius, ’cause man, that orgasm …’
‘I could tell,’ Persius replied with a grin. Caden leant down and pecked him on the cheek.
‘I’ll be right back – where’s your bathroom?’
‘Past the screen and to your left.’
Caden looked down at Persius for a moment before he left the room. He looked beautiful, lying there on his side, his subtle hips curving in a most elegant, sensual way. If Caden hadn’t just gotten off, he’d be begging Persius to let him fuck him. But there’d be plenty of time for that later.
Later? Caden thought as he walked toward the bathroom. What was with this “later” business? He hadn’t meant to touch Persius again after that first time they fucked. But here he was, walking to Persius’s bathroom with a huge grin on his face. He was quite happy to be there, he realised. And not just
because of the sex they’d just had, either. Fuck, was he developing – feelings for Persius? Of course not. He shook his head at the thought as he tossed his condom in the trash and washed his hands in the sink. Of course not.
Chapter Five
Persius was a little disappointed when Caden told him he had to get going – he’d been hoping that they could have dinner together again. But the look on Caden’s face as he left almost seemed to say that he really did want to stay, even if his actions said otherwise. And of course Persius wanted him to stay. He wanted him to spend the night. And, perhaps, the next night. And the next … But the fact that they’d had sex again – twice – would have to be enough for him, he thought, at least for now. No, it had to be more than enough, because it was not supposed to be going this way. He was here for one thing alone – to save Caden’s life.
Maybe, Persius thought with a chuckle, if he just kept Caden “busy” enough, he wouldn’t have to worry about Caden ever getting shot. But he knew that wouldn’t be enough. It would happen, no matter what, unless Persius could figure out when – and why – it would happen. And where too, of course, Persius thought with a sigh. No, he couldn’t bear the thought of losing Caden, he realised. He just couldn’t.
After heating up some leftover pizza, Persius plopped down on his couch with a beer and turned on the TV, hopeful that it would distract him enough to get through the rest of the night. Three hours later – three hours full of what-ifs and many, many thoughts about Caden, he sighed loudly for what could have been the millionth time, then got off his couch and went into his bedroom. At least he was tired enough to fall right asleep, he thought as he got under the covers. And he did, his dreams starting almost instantly.
‘Do you take this man to be your husband?’
He and Caden were standing under an arbour, which was covered in vines and pale pink flowers. Flowers which were not of the human world, but of his own. Ah, so he was in Faeyne. And he was – getting married? Yes, he realised, as he was dressed in the proper fairy attire for marriage. As was Caden, who looked gorgeous in his dark blue robes. The woman marrying them was his long-time friend Keanne, her face glowing with joy, most likely because she’d known how much Persius cared for Caden.
And then there was a loud crack, and Persius watched as a red, wet bloom spread across Caden’s chest. ‘You were supposed to save me,’ Caden gasped, ‘not fall for me.’
‘I’m sorry,’ Persius said softly, but it was too late – Caden fell to the ground and became still, his beautiful eyes slowly fluttering shut.
The next dream was entirely different, with Caden leading Persius around a dance floor somewhere in the human world, but it was the first dream which was freshest in Persius’s mind when he woke in the morning. It couldn’t have been a warning from the fairy world, he told himself – other than telling Keanne, he’d kept his interest in Caden completely under wraps. Hadn’t he? Was there any chance one of the elders had discovered he had feelings for his charge? No, it was just his worries coming to life, coming into his dreams and showing him exactly how he would feel if he failed. But he was already failing, in a way – he wasn’t distancing himself from Caden, not in the way he should.
As he poured himself a bowl of cereal and dropped some blueberries on top of the flakes, he found himself unable to shake the feelings from the nightmare. He had to stay focused. Not on Caden’s lovely personality, nor on his lovely body. But could he resist Caden? Could he turn him down if he came onto him again, or invited him out?
It turned out that he most certainly could not. Near the end of their workday, Caden called him into his office.
‘Yes?’ Persius said, careful to stay near the door lest Caden’s irresistibility cause him to offer up his body right there and then.
‘Want to go out to dinner after work?’
A date? Was that what Caden was suggesting? ‘Sure.’ Dammit, he was supposed to turn the man down! But he clearly couldn’t – though the fact that he wasn’t trying to rip off Caden’s clothes right then and there showed he was able to restrain himself at least a little, Persius thought. He found himself frowning on the way back to his desk in the front of the building. But then thoughts of spending a lovely dinner with his lover wiped his mind clean of any sour thoughts, and he spent the last 15 minutes at his desk daydreaming about Caden – about his body, mostly, but there was some cuddling and talking in his daydreams as well. Two things he wanted to do more of with Caden. And maybe, if he was really lucky, Persius thought, he would get to spend the night with him this time.
Spend the night his charge, he reminded himself, but even that thought was unable to stop him from walking out the door with Caden once it was 5.15, and it certainly didn’t stop him from getting into Caden’s car and riding toward a – first date?
Caden had chosen an Italian restaurant, but it wasn’t one of those fancy, candle-lit ones with a huge, over-priced wine list and doting waiters. No, this one had plastic chequered tablecloths, with joyous laughter and chatter filling up the room.
‘This is my favourite restaurant in town,’ Caden said as he flipped open his menu. Persius’s disappointment at the lack of romantic lighting disappeared instantly. Caden had taken him to his favourite restaurant? What did that mean? But his thoughts were interrupted as Caden reached out a hand and placed it on top of Persius’s. So that’s what it means, he thought with a sly grin.
‘If you like pizza, you should try the margarita. Totally the best in town. I’d be willing to split a large with you if you want.’
But Persius still couldn’t get over the fact that Caden’s hand was holding his own – holding it in public, he realised. ‘Are they … Is this kind of affection OK here?’
‘The owners are queer, actually. If you look around, you’ll see we fit right in.’
Persius glanced around the room – a woman was pecking another on the cheek at one table, and in a few booths, men had their arms draped around each other.
‘No wonder this is your favourite restaurant,’ Persius said, turning his hand over and squeezing Caden’s.
‘The food’s pretty good too, actually.’ Caden squeezed Persius’s hand back, and then he smiled at him. It seemed clear to Persius that Caden was happy to be in his company, but he still fought to not get his hopes up. Just because Caden had taken him to his favourite restaurant, and was holding his hand, and was sharing a pizza with him, it didn’t mean anything. It couldn’t mean anything. But Persius felt his hopes rising just as easily as bunch of winged fairies, all of them fluttering toward the top of the high-ceilinged room.
‘The margarita it is, then.’ Persius put down his menu. ‘And maybe some wine?’
‘Sure, let’s split half a carafe.’
Dinner turned out to be just as delicious as Caden had told him it would be – Persius was certain of this after only one bite of his food. It was his first time having a margarita pizza, and he found himself regretting every moment of his life that hadn’t contained this particular dish. The sauce had the lightest bite to it, the cheese was rich, creamy, and perfectly melted, and the basil leaf that came with his first bite certainly didn’t take anything away from the delicious taste now coating his tongue. He couldn’t help moaning a little as the flavours mixed in his mouth, his eyes closing slowly as he savoured each one.
‘Good, huh?’
‘Mmm,’ was all Persius could say at the moment. This was almost as good as sex. Well, maybe not as good as sex with Caden … No, no, not even close. But it would do for now, until they got back to somewhere private, where a soft bed awaited and they could get naked without committing a felony.
The pizza might have been amazing, but what Persius was enjoying the most was the glow he could see Caden putting off – he certainly seemed happy to be here. Moreover, it seemed as if he was clearly glad to be here with Persius. What had happened, between now and the previous night, when Caden hadn’t even wanted to spend the night with him? Persius realised he didn’t really care. All t
hat really mattered was that something had changed, and it had changed for the better. But Persius couldn’t let himself be totally present, as lovely as the present was. Caden was his charge, he reminded himself as the waiter brought the bill, a bill Caden insisted on paying. Caden was his charge, he reminded himself as they left the restaurant and got into Caden’s car, where Caden suggested they go back to his place. Caden was his charge, he reminded himself a third time, but then Caden – his charge – kissed him on the cheek at a stoplight, and stopped being his charge for the rest of the night.
Chapter Six
Once they were inside his apartment, Caden offered Persius a drink. ‘I have bourbon, beer, and some really bad red wine.’
‘It’s really bad?’ Persius laughed. ‘Then why are you offering it to me?’
‘I hoped you wouldn’t be interested in leaving, even after drinking it – even after you’ve realised I have no ability when it comes to selecting a good bottle of wine.’
‘That’s certainly not a deal breaker for me. And I wouldn’t dream of leaving.’ Persius hoped that Caden wouldn’t notice the way he was looking at him – like a man lost in a sea of love. He knew it was too soon for Caden to feel the same way, but he’d noticed a quite obvious change in the way that Caden was treating him. The change had to mean something good, Persius thought. It had to mean that things were changing in his favour.
‘I’d agree to the really bad red wine, but I think you’d think less of me if I did –’
‘No, I wouldn’t,’ Caden said, and Persius considered the way Caden had looked at him when he said that, a look that might have said he was starting to feel stronger things than just lust. Or was he just reading too much into Caden’s every action? Perhaps. Perhaps not. Fuck, he had to stop over-thinking everything, and just try to enjoy the moment he was in the middle of. Because after he succeeded in saving Caden’s life, he would have to leave the man behind. For good. So he had to be here now, because now was all he had.
