It melted her instantly, already sending her brain spinning down toward that same wonderful place she’d felt herself drop into while tied to the bench.

He eased her down to her knees. “Good girl,” he softly said.

That was something else. She had no problem letting go to either man, but it was almost as if Davis was adapting to the Dominant role far more quickly and naturally than Kirby. With Kirby, it was gentle and playful and fun, but with Davis, it felt like he’d truly absorbed it and was more of a natural in the role.

“I brought something with me I ordered for you,” he said.

  “Yes, Sir?”

“You’ll just have to wait and see.” He started to unbutton his shirt, never looking away from her face. “I think you’ll enjoy it.”

“Yes, Sir. I’m sure I will.”

Once he stood there, naked, his cock already firm but not fully erect, he stroked her hair. “Kiss my cock.”

She wanted to swallow him to the root, but she did as ordered, watching his face as she leaned in and placed a kiss on the head, unable to help swiping the tip of her tongue along his slit and tasting the drop of pre-cum there.

He smiled. She noticed he did that more frequently now when they were together. “That’s my good girl. Stay there. Don’t move.”

He stepped away and she didn’t look. Her back was to the bed, and she heard him pull the covers down and unzip his overnight bag, getting something out of it. Then it sounded like he walked to the bathroom and quickly returned.

He walked up behind her. “Close your eyes.”

She did, and he slipped something soft over her eyes. “It’s a sleep mask,” he said. “I wasn’t sure what kind of blindfold to get and thought this would be a starting point.”

  “Is that the surprise?”

“No. I bought this at Target.” He took her hands and helped her stand. “Stay still.” He undressed her, her clit throbbing and juices already flowing at the thought of imagining what he looked like doing that.

When he had her naked he helped her onto the bed, on her hands and knees, head and shoulders down and ass in the air.

He spoke into her left ear. “Do I need to tie my girl up, or will you be good for me and not move?”

Her mouth went dry. “I’ll be good, Sir.”

“Good girl.” He moved away and she felt the mattress dip near her legs as he shifted position. It felt like she was kneeling on a towel, not the sheets, and she suspected maybe she knew what his surprise was.

Then she heard him pull on a glove and the sound of him opening something, followed by the feel of his fingers, coated with lube, starting to play with her ass.

  A soft moan escaped her.

“Good girl,” he said. “Hold still for me.”

That was hard to do, because she wanted to fuck his hand. Somehow, she managed it, though, as he worked two, then three fingers into her.

When he started with the third one, she heard her vibrator switch on and he pressed it to her clit. “Don’t come yet. Be my good girl.”

She whined but as she balled up her fists she struggled and finally managed not to climax as he slowly fucked three fingers into her ass. After a few minutes of that, both the vibrator and his fingers disappeared.

It wasn’t a long wait, though. She felt him touch something against her rim and slowly press, fucking it into her. As it grew wider, she realized it must be a butt plug. It was a little bigger than two of his fingers, but not as big as three. When he finally seated it inside her, she gasped at the fullness inside her.

“Good girl. That was the surprise, by the way. It’s the smallest one I ordered. I have two more to work you up to, but not tonight.”

He wiped the excess lube off her, then she heard him strip the glove off. “On your back, sweetheart.”

She carefully moved, trying to get used to the butt plug, settling on the towel.

Davis spread her thighs, wide, putting her legs over his shoulders and reaching up to take her hands and hold them around her wrists. “You may come.”

His mouth on her clit felt like hot, sweet magic as he immediately brought her over the first time with cries she had to clamp her mouth shut around for fear of the neighbors hearing. He took his time on the second one, and the helpless feeling of him holding her hands and being blindfolded only added to the sensations.

She didn’t know how many times he made her come, but when he finally released her and sat up she felt spent, wrung out.

He slowly swiped the end of his cock up and down her pussy before easing it inside her. With the butt plug filling her, too, the extra sensation of being stuffed and stretched made her come as his cock glided along her clit with every stroke.

He pinned her hands over her head and kissed her as he continued fucking her, patiently, apparently wanting to see if he could get another one from her.

  And he did.

That time, he grunted, “Good girl,” before speeding up his strokes, his grip on her wrists increasing when he came, and then his entire body relaxing.

His mouth slanted over hers, slowly exploring. “Such a good girl.”

When he released her hands she wrapped her arms and legs around him, tightly, holding on as they kissed. He finally eased the sleep mask off her and she was greeted by the sight of his brown eyes staring down into hers and a pleased smile on his face.

  “Wow,” she said.

“Do you think that will hold you until morning, or do I need to make you come again?” He smiled.

That was a trick question, and she knew it. If she said she needed him to make her come again, he’d take the vibrator to her and do it until she safeworded.

  “I’ll survive until morning.”

“Good girl.” He helped her sit up. “Go clean up and take that out.”

She did, and when she returned, he’d already claimed his side of the bed. She turned off the lights and snuggled in with him, amazed that he was actually holding her the way he was.

  That was unexpected.

“If you’re uncomfortable, Sir, I understand if you need to move.”

“Not yet.” He kissed her. “I’ll move when I need to. Thank you for understanding.”

“Will you actually be able to sleep tonight?”

  “Why?”

  “Strange place, strange bed.”

“I’m with you. That’s what I’m working on.”

  “I don’t understand.”

He didn’t reply at first. “I’m working on being comfortable sleeping where you sleep, with you. I know there will still be times I need to sleep alone. But I want to work on being able to sleep with you as much as possible. It’ll take me time to get used to having Kirby in bed, too, so I’m starting with this.”

That nearly made her cry, that he was willing to do that for her. “I love you so much.”

“I love you, too. That’s why I want to do this.”

When was the last time someone had ever gone to this effort for her?

  Never.

And that was why she knew she could forget about the Felicity bullshit. “I’m sorry I freaked out about Felicity earlier.”

“I didn’t think you freaked out, but thank you.”

“Sometimes my old fears get the better of me. I’m trying to learn to trust my new instincts because I trust you and Kirby.”

He nuzzled the back of her neck. “Thank you. My instincts tell me to work my ass off not to lose you, because you are the best thing to ever happen to me.”

She closed her eyes and settled in, hoping that he got a good night’s sleep with her.

  Chapter Sixteen

Davis was sitting at his desk and going over production batch notes late the next Tuesday afternoon when someone knocked on his office door.

While he refused to agree with superstitions and hunches and things beyond the realm of scientific proof, he thought maybe it was Melanie’s influence on him that made him react the way he did. He reached over and quickly thumbed the came
ra control on his phone, where it sat propped in its docking station, to film the interaction.

  “Come in.”

Felicity Darby-Cockpher opened the door, wearing a smile he couldn’t immediately categorize since he’d never seen her wear that particular expression before.

She slid in through the partially opened door before closing it behind her. “There’s my guy.”

  “Excuse me?”

“Silly. I know it’s been a few months, but I also know you aren’t bothered by things like that. That’s one of the things I love so much about you. A good fuck without the bother of a messy relationship. I was thinking we could get together tonight or tomorrow night after work. I wanted to schedule it with you now. If you can’t come to my house, we can use the sofa in my office.”

With his mind already retreating from the discussion and returning to his current task, he focused on his computer screen. “No.”

  She didn’t respond immediately. “No?”

He finally looked at her again. She looked…confused? Flummoxed? He wasn’t sure.

“No,” he repeated. “We won’t be having those interactions again.”

  “Interactions?”

Her tone confused him. “You want sex, correct?”

She rested her hands on her hips. “Well, duh.”

  “No.”

She seemed to need a moment to process that. “Why the hell not? You’ve never said no to me before.” She grinned. “What’s wrong? Going to make me beg you for it because it’s been so—”

“No. I’m in a relationship.” Figuring that would settle the matter without him having to delve into the other issues of why he wouldn’t sleep with her, he returned his focus to his reports.

She let out a snort. “A relationship? With what, a robot? Come on, Davis. Don’t be pissy just because I haven’t paid you any attention for a while and—”

“You had a sexual relationship with another man without telling me about it first, in direct violation of our agreement. Despite your silence on the matter, I took that to mean that we were no longer having interactions. Meanwhile, I met someone, and I am now in a committed relationship with her and no longer available for sex with you. I don’t understand what is confusing about that.”

She scowled. “Who told you I was with someone else?”

“I stopped by your office one evening to go over reports and heard you having sex with him. Combined with your lack of personal contact with me, I deduced you were in a relationship with him. It wasn’t difficult.”

Her face turned red. He wasn’t sure if she was mad or embarrassed. Normally, he might take the time to try to figure it out, but he had too much work today to spend the extra energy on it.

“You never cared before when I saw other people for a while,” she eventually said.

“And I don’t care now. Our agreement was we would notify each other first, or it was over. You failed to notify me. Therefore, it’s over.” He stared at her. “Is that all, Ms. Cockpher?”

She stepped forward and placed her hands on the front of his desk, leaning forward so far that it forced him to sit back to avoid her infringing upon his personal space.

He also strongly suspected she did that deliberately, knowing that unwanted and uninvited intrusions made him highly uncomfortable.

“Listen to me, Davis. I never said we were done, regardless of what you heard. Frankly, I don’t believe your little story about being in a ‘relationship’ with someone.” She used air quotes around it. “That’s awfully convenient. In the past six years we’ve been fucking, you’ve never mentioned ever going out with anyone. The truth is, you’re just pissed off you heard me with that guy. I get it. I’m sorry. He was someone I dated before and I honestly didn’t think to tell you about him. But it’s over now.

“You have a choice. Either you put your weird little idiosyncrasies aside and we pick up where we left off, or you’ll find yourself out of a job. Your employment contract states you’re an ‘at-will’ employee. Meaning if I will it, you’ll be out on your fucking adorably wacky little ass. So quit playing this bullshit game with me and think about that, hmm?”

She smiled as she slowly straightened and turned, heading to his office door. “That being said, I know sudden change is difficult for you. Just to prove I don’t hold a grudge, I’ll take a rain check tonight. I’ll be waiting tomorrow evening for you in my office so we can have a little ‘chat’ there and things can go back to the way they were. Shall we say seven? And by chat I do, of course, mean sex. Bring condoms.”

She left without waiting for his response.

He stared at his phone and hit the stop button to end the recording. After verifying it had captured the entire incident, he hesitated as he considered his options.

She was the daughter of the company’s CEO and founder.

As Kirby might say, did he really think he had a chance to get her disciplined?

However, the thought of trying to change jobs set about an unpleasant tingling in his brain, a sensation he hated with a passion.

Still…the more he thought about it, the more he realized he couldn’t give in to her demand, even at the risk of losing his job.

  No, not just couldn’t.

  Wouldn’t.

He loved Melanie with all his heart. Even if he’d never minded Felicity using him for no-strings sex before, now he did. In fact, Felicity’s assumption he was there simply for her sexual use was…

  Interesting.

He’d have to examine that reaction later. The tight, dark feeling in the center of his gut that the entire conversation had evoked. It felt brownish-grey. Mean.

  Anger?

Perhaps a smattering of resentment, as well.

He usually didn’t use cloud storage to back things up from his phone, but he didn’t have his personal laptop with him at work. After loading the video both into Dropbox and his iCloud account, he glanced out his office window. His office sat on the east side of the building and overlooked the employee parking lot.

He was just in time to see Felicity striding to her Porsche and climbing in.

Early, of course. Not even four o’clock yet.

James Darby’s car still sat parked in the spot right next to hers.

After thinking about it for a long moment, Davis stood and headed out the door. If he lost his job for what he was about to do, that didn’t antagonize his brain a fraction as much as it would if Felicity fired him because he wouldn’t give in to her extortion.

Which, if he wasn’t mistaken, her actions fit the legal definition of—extortion.

He headed to Mary Selman’s office first. The head of HR’s office sat one hallway over from James Darby’s office. Her door stood open so he walked in and waited there, until she looked up and flinched before laughing.

“I’m sorry, Davis. You startled me.”

“My apologies. I didn’t mean to. I didn’t want to interrupt you.”

“That’s all right. What can I do for you?”

He liked Mary and already understood that she wasn’t going to be happy when he brought this to her attention, mostly because of who it involved. “May I shut your door for privacy?”

  She frowned, but nodded.

He shut the door and then walked over to her desk. He’d already queued the video and hit play, showing it to her.

  She went white.

“Are you all right, Mary? Do you feel okay?”

Her jaw gaped as she stared up at him. “Seriously? You show me this and ask me if I feel okay?”

Drawing upon his life with Kirby, he suspected that was a rhetorical question and didn’t reply.

She played it again. “When did this happen, exactly?” she asked.

“Less than fifteen minutes ago. I have already uploaded backup copies of that video to multiple redundant cloud storage accounts.”

“Of course you have.” Except she sounded tired. After she returned his phone she sat back and rubbed at her forehead. “Are you filing
a formal sexual harassment grievance against her?”

“If that’s what it takes, yes. I want her to leave me alone. I didn’t mind any of our sexual interactions before I discovered she wasn’t honest with me and before I was committed to someone, but now it will not be possible.”

  “Wait. Your sexual interactions before?”

“Yes. Didn’t you understand that from the video?”

“How many ‘sexual interactions’ are we talking about?”

“Quite a few over the past several years. She wasn’t exaggerating about that.”

She let out something that sounded like a groan, but she waved at him to continue.

“I also know my employment contract. She cannot fire me for a sexual harassment complaint, or in retaliation for a report like this, and her extortion of me frankly would look highly suspect in front of a jury.”

“Ya think?” She let out another heavy sigh. “Sorry.” Turning to her computer terminal, she quickly started tapping on her keyboard. After typing for several minutes, she hit a button. Behind her, the printer spit out several pages, which turned out to be duplicates of the same page.

A grievance form, stating the basics of his claim.

She handed him a pen. “This is step one. Sign there.”

He read the entire thing, of course, before signing. “Now what?”

She turned to her phone and made a quick phone call. “Now we go have the fun conversation.”

  “That’s sarcasm, I take it?”

  “Yes, Davis. That’s sarcasm.”

He’d assumed they were going to talk to James Darby next, but they didn’t. They headed to the office of Gil Newport, on-site corporate attorney and public relations officer.

Twenty minutes later, with Mary doing all the talking and after showing the man the video on Davis’ phone, Newport looked like he wanted to throw himself out his office window. Instead, he swallowed a pill from a bottle he pulled from his top desk drawer and chased it with a swig of coffee that made the man wince.

Newport finally focused on Davis. Davis had little previous interaction with the attorney and wasn’t sure how much Newport knew about his quirks.
