He pulled away and looked at her green eyes. “What should I do with you?”

She licked her bottom lip and fluttered her lashes. “If you’re not going to let me get to work, you might as well make yourself useful and make me come,” she replied boldly, pressing her pussy against his raging hard-on.

“It’s the least I can do.” He loved watching the expression on her face when she was aroused and especially when she climaxed. Gone was the shy, nervous Lacey. She had no idea how incredibly sexy she was. Which gave him a wicked idea.

Reilly turned her around until she was facing the enormous mirror over the sink in the bathroom. He stood behind and pressed his erection against her buttocks while his hands lifted and cupped her heavy breasts. Lacey stared at her reflection the mirror and he could see the flush spread on her cheeks.

“You have amazing tits,” he said and circled her nipples. “Look at how they respond to my touch.”

Her breathing grew heavier as she watched him fondle her nipples. He used one hand to position his cock between her legs behind her and thrust forward. God, he couldn’t wait to get inside her.

He continued fondling her nipple and rubbed her clit with the other hand. She closed her eyes and moaned as he stroked her. “You are one fucking sexy woman. Open your eyes. See what I see and how sexy you are when you come.”

She looked back into the mirror, gently biting her lip and gyrating her hips to his movements. He could tell she still wasn’t relaxed. Her body stiff in his arms. So shy sometimes.

“Bend over,” he said. “Don’t move.” Reilly scooted back to the bedroom in record seconds and grabbed a condom.

He was back behind her and sheathed himself before spreading her legs and guiding the head of his cock to her slit. He rubbed it against her slit a couple times before finally pushing inside her, slowly. When his cock was fully inside her, his fingers returned to tease her clit. Lacey gripped the counter as he slowly fucked her. Almost all the way out and then back in…balls deep.

“Fuck, I can’t get enough of you.” He stared at her face in the mirror. Her beautiful tits bounced with each thrust. Her body was no longer tense. Her eyes were glazed over with lust and her breathing was labored.

“Does this turn you on?” He pulled gently on her nipple. “Watching me fuck you?”

Lacey met his gaze in the mirror. “Yes,” she breathed. “Fuck me harder.”

Reilly groaned and plunged deep inside her. He grabbed her hair and gave it a gentle tug, lifting her neck and making her tits bounce even more. He continued thrusting as they both focused on each other in the mirror. Her grip tightened on the counter as she made the whimpering noises he loved. He knew she was about to climax.

“Oh my…Reilly, I’m going to come,” Lacey yelled, closing her eyes again.

Reilly increased the tempo, fucking her hard and fast. “Open your eyes, watch yourself come.”

Lacey eyes opened and she moaned. Her pussy contracted around him. She bit her lip again and her grip on the countertop tightened even more, her knuckles white as she climaxed. She kept her eyes locked on the mirror as she cried out. Reilly buried himself in her warmth and felt his cock erupt inside of her.

He collapsed against her, trying to catch his breath. He could hear her heart beating wildly and her deep breaths. “I’ll take this over morning coffee any time.”

She laughed and he lifted himself off her and moved to dispose of the condom. She stretched, with a satisfied look in her face. “Now I want to crawl back into bed.”

Reilly washed up at the sink. “Me, too. But I do have to go to work. I’m hoping to score a new client.” He winked and kissed her softly. “Let me go get some coffee on for us.” He stopped by his dresser and pulled a pair of boxer briefs from the drawer and put them on.

While he brewed the coffee, he picked up their clothes from the living room and brought them to the bedroom. The bathroom door was ajar and he could hear the water running and the sound of humming. Reilly peaked through the door and could see her silhouette in the steamy shower. He smiled, listening to her humming softy.

He folded her clothes and left them in the bathroom, resisting the urge to join her in the shower. The coffee was ready and he poured himself a cup and then searched through the refrigerator for food. As he pulled out some eggs, juice and fruit, he found himself humming the same song Lacey had been. He smiled goofily. He liked falling asleep and waking up with her in his arms. He liked having her in his house, whether cooking for her, sleeping with her, watching TV, cuddling or making love. Reilly knew he was in for an uphill battle convincing her to give them a shot.

He had just finished cutting up some fruit and scrambling some eggs when Lacey walked in the kitchen. Her wet hair hung loosely down her back and she looked young and cute.

“I got your coffee ready.” He pointed to the mug at the kitchen table. “Hungry?”

“Starving. I seemed to have worked up an appetite around you.” She smiled. “What can I help with?”

  “You can butter the toast.”

She moved to the toaster and opened the butter. Reilly grabbed a plate for the eggs over her shoulder, stopping to kiss her neck and breathe in the smell of hair. “You smell delicious but I prefer the scent of your shampoo over mine.” He liked the scent of lavender and berries he usually smelled in her hair.

“Not my fault all you have is men’s shampoo and body wash.” She branded the knife at him. “Now make me some food before I faint.”

He laughed and scooped the eggs on a plate and brought everything over to the kitchen table. Lacey brought the toast over and they sat down and ate. “I didn’t realize how hungry I was till I started digging in.” She grabbed another toast and some orange slices.

Reilly liked a woman with an appetite who didn’t eat like a bird. Lacey was curvaceous in all the right places. Slim and curvy but not skinny. He didn’t like skinny.

“Can I see you again tonight?” Reilly asked her. It was Tuesday and he didn’t work at the pub tonight. Sunday through Wednesday weren’t overly busy nights.

“Um, I’m not sure what time I’ll be working till. Kim and I still have a lot to do.”

“You have to eat sometime. I’ll take you out for dinner,” he replied.

“If we work late, I was just going to grab takeout.”

Reilly groaned inwardly and thought about giving up. He’d never had to work this hard to get a woman to go out with him. Normally they were asking him when they could see him again. His ego was feeling a bit bruised with Lacey but dammit, he wanted to see her again so he’d push harder.

“I’ll bring takeout to the store for you and Kim and we can all eat together,” he replied, closely watching her face. She smiled but it was a sad smile and didn’t reach her eyes.

“Look, Reilly. I like hanging out with you.”

“Translation, you like fucking me,” Reilly said through gritted teeth.

“No, I mean, yes, I do like that but I like being with you, too.” She pushed the eggs around on her plate. “It’s just, I don’t want to play games or lead you on and this,” she waved her hands between them, “is fun but dinner seems like a date and dates can lead to relationships and well, that’s not going to happen with us.” She at least had the kahunas to look him the eyes during her lovely speech.

“Is it relationships you’re allergic to?” he asked. “Or just a relationship with me?”

Her face turned crimson and Reilly had his answer. What surprised him was the stab of hurt he felt. He knew Lacey wasn’t married or in a relationship but apparently, sex was all she wanted from him. But at least she was honest. Reilly pushed away the feeling of disappointment and concentrated on the here and now.

“Listen, Lacey. I’m not looking for a commitment either. We’re both single adults and we have amazing chemistry together.” He leaned closer to her and brushed his thumb over her bottom lip. “I get it. Nothing serious. But who says we can’t have some fun and just hang out…preferab
ly in bed…and maybe the odd time outside of bed?”

She smiled and he pushed a loose strand of hair behind her ear. “I’d like that. I just wanted to be honest.”

“I appreciate it.” He stood up and pulled her up with him. He cupped her ass in his hands and pressed his groin against her. “Now I’m going to call you later and we’ll figure something for dinner because you know my whole motive is really dessert.”

She laughed and squirmed her body against his provocatively. “Dessert is the best part.” Lacey licked her lips suggestively and Reilly groaned before slanting his mouth over hers in a searing hot kiss. Somewhere in his mind, warning bells were going off but unfortunately the stronger head of the two, his cock, was making decisions at the moment.

  Chapter Eight

Lacey and Kim painted the last wall side by side. “Thank God we’re almost done.” Kim added more paint to her roller. “I love the color.”

“Me, too.” Lacey admired the smoky gray of the walls which contrasted beautifully with the dark vintage wine color they used on their accent wall. She moved to grab more paint when her cell phone chimed. “Reilly wants to know if we like pizza, Chinese, or something else entirely.”

Kim arched her brow. “Tell him to surprise us. I’m freaking starving.” They had been working none stop all day, expect for a quick sandwich and a coffee at lunch. It was almost seven and they were exhausted.

Lacey texted back and resumed painting, trying to ignore Kim’s quizzical looks. “He’s just bringing us some dinner because he knows we worked hard today. Besides, he says he’s got some information for us on the furniture.”

“I see,” Kim said in a tone Lacey found annoying.

“What exactly do you see?” she asked sharply.

“Don’t get your panties in a wad.” Kim waved the roller at her. “It’s just nice to see you dating.”

“I am not dating him,” Lacey bit out. “We’re just friends…with benefits.”

Kim howled with laughter. “I never in a million years thought I’d hear those words out of your mouth.”

“What?” Lacey rolled more paint on the wall, her face flaming. “You’ve had many of those friends. Why can’t I have one?”

“You can, honey. You’ve just never shown any interest in sex without the emotional garbage our gender is prone to.”

“Well people change. I’ve changed.” She put down the roller and picked up the paint brush, concentrating on the lower part of the wall.

Kim stood with her hands on her hips and regarded Lacey through narrowed eyes. “You’re telling me you don’t have any feelings for Reilly, except you want his meat stick.”

“Gross, don’t call it a meat stick. And no I don’t have any feelings for him,” Lacey echoed. “I mean, I like him. He’s a nice guy but I know what this is and I’m not getting attached.”

“And what would be wrong with getting attached? I mean besides my own reasons about commitment weighting you down and shit.”

Lacey looked at Kim with her eyebrows raised. “Really, Kim, you’re a bright lady. Don’t play dumb.”

“Um, his dick is teeny?” Kim stuck out her pinky finger and pointed it at Lacey.

“No. More like a Gatorade bottle.” Lacey blushed crimson as soon as she’d said the words.

“Yum,” Kim licked her lips. “You’re making me thirsty, girl. Call me dumb, why can’t you get attached? Especially to a Gatorade bottle,” she mumbled the last bit under her breath but Lacey heard.

“He’s eleven years younger than me.” Lacey pulled the can of paint closer to her and continued working, avoiding Kim’s intense stare.

  “Yeah, so?”

“I am not my mother, Kim. Jesus, I think her latest boyfriend is almost thirty years younger.”

Kim was silent, which was a first and Lacey hesitated looking at her. She felt Kim approach and stand next to her. Lacey finally stood up and faced her.

“Honey, you are not your mother. You shouldn’t even compare this situation.”

“Why not? Apparently my father was even a couple years younger than my mom when he got her pregnant and then left. But still she tries to pretend she’s years younger than she is and goes after men young enough to be her son. It’s disgusting.” She could feel her anger mounting as it always did when she talked about her mother. She was teased mercilessly in school about her cougar mother. Shit, she’d dated boys in her teens and watched humiliated as her mother flirted with them.

“So you’re a bit older than Reilly. No one would even know. You still look thirty for Christ sakes.”

Lacey didn’t agree but funny she always thought the same about Kim.

“What’s more, you are not and never will be like your mother. And third, even if you were a tiny bit like her, that might not be a bad thing. The one thing I’ve actually always admired about your mother is she knows how to have fun and let loose. She also doesn’t let what other people think dictate her actions.” Before Lacey could argue, Kim continued, “Which I know is not always a good thing and hasn’t made her mother of the year. But honey, you could definitely take a small page from her book. Let loose a bit and stop worrying about what everyone else thinks.”

Lacey bit her lips as she processed Kim’s words and drew a blank on any valid arguments. Deep down, she knew Kim was right and that she was missing fun from her life because she was too concerned about fitting in and what other people thought of her actions. But old habits die hard so Lacey just glared at Kim.

“Mind your own damn business,” she finally said and waved her paintbrush at her. She watched horrified as gray paint splattered across Kim’s shirt. “Oops, sorry.”

“You don’t look sorry.” Kim advanced with her roller.

“Don’t you dare.” Lacey took a step back laughing. But Kim was quick and moved to dab her roller to Lacey’s chest. Except Lacey flung her hand up and ended up with paint all over her cheek.

“Shit,” Kim muttered, looking at Lacey’s face. She covered her mouth as she laughed.

“Oh no you didn’t.” Lacey tried wiping the paint off her face and only ended up with a bunch on her hands. She lunged for Kim but she sidestepped her.

“Truce! Truce!” Kim yelled, laughing and running into the back room away from Lacey.

As she made a second lunge for Kim, the back door opened, letting in a cold burst of air. Reilly stood in the doorway with a couple pizzas and a six pack of beer, looking at them with wide eyes. They both burst out laughing.

“Am I interrupting something?” he asked, smiling. His gaze went from Kim to Lacey and he pointed to her cheek. “You know paint usually goes on the walls, right?”

Lacey smiled innocently and walked toward him. He hadn’t seen her hand yet. “Just a little accident,” she stated. “But you got something on your face.”

She lifted her hand and touched his cheek. “Here,” she said. “And here.” She touched his forehead. “And a tiny bit on your nose.” She flicked her wet paint fingers on his nose. Kim giggled. She was about to continue to the other side of his face when his hand shot up and gripped her wrist. His smile widened when he saw all the paint on her hand.

Reilly held the beer and pizza in one hand and used the other to pull her close. “You are going to pay for that later, woman,” he whispered in her ear.

Lacey chuckled. “Promises, promises,” she goaded.

“Oh, you just wait.” His eyes promised all sorts of delicious torture.

“You two eye fuck each other later. Pass me a beer and some pizza. I’m starving.” Kim’s voice penetrated Lacey’s fantasies and Reilly let go of her wrist.

Kim grabbed the food out of Reilly’s hand and set it down at the table. Lacey went to the bathroom to wash up but she couldn’t get all the paint off her face. She smiled, picturing poor Reilly’s face as well. She scrubbed some more and looked at herself in the mirror. She wasn’t a woman who usually paid much attention to her appearance. She thought of herself as pretty or cute, but not b
eautiful. But looking in the mirror right now, despite the paint on her face and her hair up in a messy knot on top of her head, she looked pretty damn good. Her skin was flushed a nice pink and her eyes sparkled. She looked…happy.

Maybe Kim was right and she needed to loosen up and have some fun. She was enjoying herself with Reilly. She was happy. Lacey brushed a stray hair behind her ear and took a clean rag out from under the sink and wet it down.

When she came back into the room, Kim and Reilly were already into the pizza and beer. “Here, sorry, but I couldn’t resist.” She laughed at the gray paint all over Reilly’s handsome face and passed him the wet rag. He put his pizza down and excused himself to use the bathroom.

“Fuck, accents that sexy should be illegal,” Kim whispered. “I’m dripping in my panties here.”

“Sweet Jesus, Kim.” Lacey admonished, shaking her head.

“I think I’ll call Kian and get me some Irish tonight.”

Lacey laughed and shushed her as Reilly walked back into the room. “I think I got most of it off.” Both Lacey and Kim burst out laughing as soon as he spoke. But shit, he did have a sexy voice.

“What?” He looked from one to the other. “Did I miss some?”

Lacey patted the chair next to her. “Never mind. Come eat. We’re just tired. We’re at the stupid giggly stage.”

Reilly sat back down and passed Lacey a beer. They ate pizza as Reilly told them stories of growing up in Ireland.

“I’m actually going to try to head home and visit my family soon. My parents are getting older and find it hard to come visit me. Plus my sister is pregnant with their second child. I’m waiting till the baby is born and then I can meet my new niece or nephew.”

Lacey could tell he was close with his family, despite the distance. Reilly’s eyes lit up when he talked about his niece and how it sucked he didn’t get to see her often. He was obviously fond of her and close to his sister. He’d be an amazing father one day. Her chest tightened slightly at the thought.
