  My blood boils.

I've seen the way he treats girls, and there's no way I'll let him do that to Carly. I storm toward them my fists clenched at my sides, so hard that my nails are leaving marks in my palm. Once I reach them, I shove his shoulder, ripping him away from her.

“You got a fucking problem?” Tony tries to puff his chest out.

“Yeah, you asshole." I punch him right in the face, and he falls like a pathetic sack of potatoes.

“Jackson!” Carly screams, but I can’t even look at her.

Before I know it, the school officer grabs me and starts pulling me to the principal's office. I shake him off.

  I know the way.

I got expelled that day. I always had trouble in school, mostly because I was poor, and I looked like I couldn't defend myself. Anyone who tried me quickly figured out how wrong that assumption was. That fight was the last straw; I never had the courage to reach out to Carly after that day either.

I look at her sitting in front of me and rub my hand over my face in frustration and disbelief. “What the fuck are you doing here Carly?”

Shock instantly sets in on her face. “My name is…”

“It’s not fucking Cece.” My tone is flat.

“How—how do you know that?” She shifts uncomfortably.

“You really don’t recognize me, do you?” It doesn’t surprise me. I’ve grown a lot from that scrawny kid she knew.

Her head shakes, but I can see the wheels turning in her head.

"How'd you end up here? Last I heard, you were married and living in a house in the suburbs." I cock an eyebrow at her. She doesn't answer me, but I see pain flash across her face. "What happened?"

She stands up. “No, that’s not something I want to talk about. I don’t even know who you are and you’re asking me about my life. I came here to escape, not be reminded.” She turns around to head for the door.

“I didn’t fucking dismiss you.” Anger rises in my voice, not at her but at knowing she’s hurting.

When she turns around, I can see her confusion.

“This is obviously your first night, but I would have thought someone laid out the rules for you. Brick brought you to me, for me to…have fun. I haven’t told you that you can leave yet. Get fucking comfortable.” I look at her, daring her to challenge me.

She stands there not moving but also not heading closer to the door. “I’m comfortable right here.”

I stand up and walk over to her, my six-foot-four frame towering over her. If I had to guess, I'd say she was only about five-foot-three. I wrap a hand around her ass, picking her up, so she's eye level with me, while my other slips around the back of her neck. Pulling her lips to mine, I get a taste of her sinful lips. They're soft, and as I slip my tongue through them tasting her, I groan in satisfaction. She's just as sweet as I always imagined she would be.

A small moan escapes her lips, and my dick is rock hard. Taking a few steps, I brace her against the wall. My mouth releases hers as I trail a line down her neck, biting and tasting each inch of her skin while her nails dig into my biceps.

Letting her slide down from the wall, my hands catch the hem of her shirt and I drag it over her head. Her tits are cupped in black lace and, fuck, it's sexy. Popping the button on her shirt, I let it fall to the floor, matching black panties taunt me and my dick strains so hard against the zipper of my jeans that it's fucking painful.

Taking her hand, I lead her over to the bed and sit down. She's standing in front of me in her bra, panties, and fuck-me heels. "Take off the bra, slowly."

Her hands reach up, sliding down the straps, so they hang and expose more of her. Reaching around her back she pops the clasps, and it falls to the floor exposing her perfect round tits. I grab her hip and pull her to me. She's at the perfect height right now as I take her nipple into my mouth, a surprised sound of pleasure comes from her as her hands grip my head. I slip my hands around, grabbing her ass and holding her to me as I take advantage of having my mouth on her. I can smell her pussy, and it's driving me fucking crazy.

Dipping my head, I bite her skin through the lace of her panties, and her knees buckle a bit, but I hold her up. "Fuck, I need to taste you." I stand up. "Take my clothes off."

Her tiny hands pull my shirt over my head, and I watch as her eyes take in my tattoos. After a minute, she works my belt off and slips my jeans and briefs down at the same time, her nails brushing my skin and sending chills to every part of my body.

I push her onto the bed enjoying the way she looks sprawled out on my sheets. Bending slowly, I settle my head in between her legs, dipping down, I take the lace in my teeth and tug as she shivers and lifts her ass up for me.

I brace my hands on her thighs, opening her to me completely. Running my tongue up her, she almost jumps off the damn bed. Looking up, I see the need on her face, and it sets me on fire. I slide my thumb over her clit then dip my tongue inside of her. Rubbing her sensitive spot and fucking her with my tongue, I can almost instantly feel her entire body start to tense.

“Oh fuck!” she screams as she comes and I lap up every bit of it, loving the way she tastes.

I look up at her and see the desire in her eyes. I want her so fucking bad, but I want her to know who I am. I grab a condom from my nightstand, slipping it on and then positioning myself at her opening. She arches toward me, and I slip in just a bit.

"I'm gonna tell you my name, and then I'm gonna take you. It ain't gonna be slow and sweet. I've wanted you for fucking years." Her eyes widen at my admission. "My name is Jaxon Peters."

Shock crosses her face, and I slam into her at the same time. Her hands slide up my chest, but I take them and lean forward holding them above her head before starting to drive into her hard and fast. Her moans get louder and quicker as years of need come to the surface. Her thighs tighten around me, and I know that after this build up and who she is, I won't last too much longer either.

I pull out, flipping her over before she can even question me. Pulling her ass up, I have her on all fours. My hand crashes down against her ass and she yelps. "Fuck, you're as good as I always imagined you'd be." I slam into her again, and she moans, her hands gripping the sheets.

I reach around playing with her clit needing her to finish before I do. I pinch the bundle of nerves between my fingers, and she screams, her pussy squeezing me in a heavenly death grip.

“Say my name. I wanna fucking hear it.” I pinch harder this time.

“Jax!” she cries out as she climaxes.

"Fuck." Her screaming my name was the final nail in the coffin. I explode as I fuck her harder than I ever thought was possible.

I release my grip on her, and she falls to the bed. Looking down at her sated expression is something I've always dreamed of. I stand up, pulling off the condom and grabbing my jeans. "Don't fucking move an inch," is all I say before reaching for the door. I look around for Pres needing to talk to him.

"Well, if it ain't the fucking birthday boy." Brick's voice sounds, and I look over to see him with Jess on his lap. He gets up, walking over to me and leaving her at the bar. "So how was the new girl? I'm gonna have to hop on and take that shit for a ride."

Before I know what I'm doing, my hand is around his throat, and I back him up against the wall. "You touch her, and I'll fucking kill you."

“Wrench!” I hear a voice boom. Pres is walking over to us looking pissed.

  Fuck.

“My office right fucking now. Both of you.” He doesn’t wait for a reply.

I follow him, and I can feel Brick staring holes in the back of my head. We walk into the office and once the door shuts, Pres turns to me. “You want to fucking explain what the hell that shit was?” His voice is lethal.

"Don't ask me," Brick starts as he takes a seat. "All I said was I wanted a turn with the new girl and he got all fucking bent up."

Pres looks over at me for an explanation.

“I was coming to find you. I’m claiming her.”

He laughs for a minute but stops. “You fucking serious?”

  I nod.

“Not possible, brother.” He takes a seat, exchanging a look with Brick.

“Why?” I say, confused and feeling my anger start to return.

“’Cause she’s a club girl. Rules say you can’t make her an old lady. Has to be that way or all these bitches would be trying to get a patch. We set them up knowing that ain’t ever gonna happen.” He shrugs his shoulders.

There has to be a way around this. "It's her first night. She hasn't done anything but come to my room. We got history, and I wanna claim her."

"Sorry, brother, can't make a ho a housewife." My fists clench as he calls her a ho. I don't know what brought her here, but that's not the Carly I know. "Now get the fuck out and keep yourself on a goddamn leash."

He says it with a finality that lets me know not to say anything else. Walking out, I head straight to my room.

What the fuck am I going to do?

  Chapter Three

  Carly

I open my eyes as sun beams into the tiny room. Looking next to me, I see someone I never thought I would again.

  Jaxon Peters.

We were best friends until sophomore year of high school. He got kicked out for fighting, and I never heard from him again. I always wondered what happened to him. I never would have imagined finding him here. The boy I remember was skinny, my height, and had a face full of acne.

The man next to me towers over me, his large build completely intimidating. His face looks older like he's been through hard times. The way he looked at me last night though, I saw glimpses of that boy. I must have fallen asleep when he left last night, but I would have thought he'd have gotten me up and made me leave.

I slip out of bed and slowly get dressed. Looking at my phone, I see six missed texts from Jess. Crap.

  Jess: where are you?

  Jess: you still with Wrench?

Jess: I just asked Brick, and he said you guys were still in his room, get it, girl

  Jess: they’re making us leave

  Jess: want me to wait?

Jess: call me once you're up, and I'll come back

"Going somewhere?" I jump at the sound of his voice. Large hands wrap around my bare stomach. Clasping my shirt in my hand, wishing I had put it on before checking my phone.

"I was gonna call Jess and have her come get me," I say, my voice not as strong as I'd like it to be.

"No." His lips press against my neck, and I melt against him. "We need to talk." He releases me, turning me to face him. Backing up a few steps, he sits down on the bed and pulls me onto his lap. Before I can question him, his lips are on me, and I forget that I even wanted to say anything. "Fuck, you're like a goddamn drug."

I smile against his lips. Then I remember whose lap I’m on. “Where have you been all this time?”

His head shakes. "Not getting into all that. What matters is that I found you and there's no way I'm giving you up."

“What’s that even supposed to mean?” My forehead rests against his. I came here to escape my past relationship, not find a new one.

"I don't know right now. Shit is complicated." His teeth drag over my bottom lip. "I'm gonna give you my number. Anytime you're coming here, you text me first, and I'll meet you outside. Understand?"

  I nod.

His hands brace the sides of my face. “I’m serious Carly, don’t walk in that door without letting me know.”

I nod again not knowing what the big deal is. "What do you want from me, Jax?"

"Everything." It's all he says before pulling my mouth to his. His tongue invades my mouth, and I moan at the feeling of him inside my mouth.

Fighting my way out of the haze that he created, I pull away. “I can’t give you that.”

  His eyes study me. “Why?”

I open my mouth to reply, but I close it again.

The door to his room opens, and Brick walks in. "Gotta clear out. Pres called church." He glances at me but walks away.

“Fuck. Text Jess and get her here now.” His tone is angry and short.

“Okay,” I say, completely taken aback by his change in mood. “Stay in here ‘til she gets here.”

“Sure, but what is the big deal?” I try to study his face and read him but I can’t.

“Not something I can talk about.” He kisses me before moving me off of him and onto the bed. “Gotta go, do what I said.”

I nod and then he’s gone.

That was so weird. Who am I kidding. This whole thing is fucking crazy.

My phone buzzes and when I look down, my breath catches at the name on my screen. Tony.

Unlocking the phone, I see his message.

Tony: you need to come get the rest of your stuff by tomorrow, or it’s trash.

A pit forms in my stomach. I don’t want to see him again. I don’t have much there and consider leaving it so that I can avoid the whole situation.

Another message comes in, and I open it.

Jess: Here. You’re lucky I was already out.

I grab my purse and walk out of the room, hoping I’m heading in the right direction. Seeing the large main room, I breathe a sigh of relief. The same group of women Jess pointed out last night are sitting at a few tables. I can feel the daggers they're staring at me. I try to do the most respectable walk of shame ever, pretending like their judgment doesn't bother me. Walking outside, the blaring sun blinds me for a minute, but I catch sight of Jess's car.

Opening the door, I plop down on the seat, hoping if I avoid her gaze she won’t ask questions.

“Where were you all night, ho-bag?” She laughs as she starts to pull out of the lot.

  Guess that plan didn’t work.

“You were with Wrench all night weren't you?" She cocks an eyebrow at me, and I can feel my cheeks redden.

“It’s actually not what you think.” I can’t believe that he’s Jax, I thought I’d never see him again.

I used to have the biggest crush on him, but he never seemed interested in any kind of a relationship with anyone, especially me. I was like his little sister. I would go out with any guy who asked, just to try and forget the way I felt about him. I never did though, even when I was with Tony. My thoughts would always drift back to him.

"Oh, yeah? What was it then?" She laughs, and I know it sounds like a dumb excuse.

“Remember that one guy from high school I told you about?”

“The one you always loved…blah, blah, blah.” She rolls her eyes. Jess is not the hopeless romantic at all.

  “Jeez, thanks.”

“Sorry, tell me what you were trying to say.” She half smiles at me.

"Wrench is Jax. He's the guy from high school." Suddenly she hits the brakes, and I'm flying forward. I catch the dashboard with my hands and thankfully save my face from hitting it. "What the hell, Jess?"

She just shakes her head and then looks over at me. “You can’t get attached to him.”

What the hell is she talking about?

"You're a club girl; we aren't allowed to become old ladies. He can never claim you." She looks at me like I understood what she just said.

“I have no idea what you’re talking about. No one is saying anything about claiming.”

She laughs in disbelief. "You can't get attached to him because you can't deny the other brothers. You can never just be his. When one of the brothers really cares about a girl, they claim her. It's them telling the club that this girl is theirs and she's off limits. He can't do that with you; it isn't allowed."

  “Okay…”

“I’m serious. You can’t fall for him, it will be nothing but trouble.” She pulls into our parking lot and looks over at me. “I should have never brought you there.”

"Woah, I don't know what you think, Jess, but I'm not some lovesick teenager." I get out of the car, thoroughly annoyed with her and this entire conversation.

We get into the apartment, and I head straight to my room, pushi
ng the door closed, I breathe a sigh of aggravation when Jess pushes the door open.

“I know you’re not a teenager, but I also see the way your entire face changes when you talk about him. I saw it before, and I just saw it in the car. You’re gonna get hurt.” She walks close to me. “I love you babe, and I’m just worried about you.”

"I get that, the thing is I don't even know what's going on with us, so I don't want you jumping to conclusions." I start to get undressed, needing a shower and a nap. "Listen, I'm exhausted. Can we just table this discussion?"

"Yeah, no problem." She hugs me and walks out.

  Jess is crazy.

There is no way I could see myself being with someone.

Not after the way that Tony hurt me.

I could never give anyone that control again.

  Chapter Four

  Wrench

I looked in Carly's file and found her address. I wanted to go to her yesterday after she left, but Pres assigned me a bunch of bullshit work as a punishment.

Pulling up to the apartment building, I switch off my bike. Before I even climb off, Carly comes out the front door. Her eyes are trained to the ground, and she looks like something is wrong. Every instinct inside of me wants to fix whatever it is that's bothering her.

I turn on the bike letting the engine roar beneath me. Carly jumps at the sound and looks up. After a minute she walks over to me. “What are you doing here Jaxon?”

“First of all, babe, no one calls me that anymore. Sure I like hearing you screamin’ it but outside of my bed it’s Wrench.” She rolls her eyes at me. “Second, where are you going and what’s wrong?”

"It's none of your business." She turns to walk away, but I grab her arm and give it a tug, landing her in my lap.

My fingers grasp her chin, tilting her head so she's looking at me. "That's where you're wrong, babe. You are my business, and eventually, you will be mine."

I pull her lips to mine. Hoping that I can somehow make that true.

I need to find a way around the rule the club has.
