This wasn’t about orgasming as quickly as possible, or even about rushing to get inside her. No—the man was enjoying every moment as much as she. With every touch, every kiss, he was dragging her out of her carefully constructed hiding place and back out into the real world. But this time, she wasn’t alone. If Jace had his way, she’d never be alone again.
He maneuvered his body down over hers, breathing deeply as if inhaling her scent, memorizing her every curve as his hands traced her body. As she arched into him again, his hand sneaked around to her back and unhooked her bra, then pulled her T-shirt roughly, exposing the top of her breast. His head dropped and he sucked an already sensitive nipple into his mouth, lathing it with his tongue until Sienna moaned beneath him. Her voice stuttered as he took her other breast into his mouth, enveloping it. “God . . . Jace . . . I need you. Now.”
He lifted his head, eyes sparkling, before leaning down again and licking up and over her breast. “I could spend all night just tasting you.”
She shivered. “No.”
His mouth left her breast immediately, his head shooting up to meet her gaze. “No? Sienna, what’s wrong?”
Sienna grabbed the back of his head, wrapping the ends of his hair in her fingers, tugging lightly. “I want you, Jace. I want you inside me.” His eyes widened for just a moment before heat flared in them again and he sank to his knees at the foot of the bed. “First, I get to taste you some more.”
Oh my God. She was going to die, combust with the heat his touch was cultivating. But oh, what a way to go.
He placed his hands on her hips, brushing over her skin before grabbing both sides of her jeans and dragging them over her hips. He quickly returned, pressing his face into her panties and inhaling, a shaky groan leaving him. Her core pulsed at the sound and Sienna felt moisture flood her panties. He grabbed the thin fabric that lay between him and her sex and in seconds that too was gone. Jace returned, nuzzling at her lower stomach. “Jace . . . too many clothes.” He looked up and grinned, sat back for just long enough to grab his T-shirt behind his head and yank it off. Before she could gasp in another breath, his face was back at her sex. His fingers brushed over her lips, opening her to him before his tongue swept through her, igniting every nerve ending before swirling around her clit. She bucked into his face. “Oh, God.”
Jace chuckled, low and deep, the vibrations echoing against her clit. “That’s the spot, huh?” He swirled his tongue against her again before replacing it with his hands, pressing just hard enough to make her eyes roll back in her head. He licked her, his tongue circling her entrance as his fingers stroked her. “Jace. Fuck me.”
“No. Not until you come all over my face.” His tongue drove into her core and her body shook with pleasure. He was unrelenting, thrusting with his tongue before moving back up to suck at her clit while his fingers took over, moving inside her. The sensations built, coiling tighter inside her until he flicked her clit with his tongue and she exploded. Waves of bliss rippled through her in time with the contractions of her core around his fingers. Jace groaned low, but kept stroking her, finding that perfect spot inside that renewed the ecstasy all over again. Finally, the waves of pleasure receded, leaving her flopped on the bed, boneless and extremely satisfied.
Jace withdrew his fingers and sucked them into his mouth, sending a new shiver through her. She couldn’t possibly want more. Her clit tingled in response. Apparently with Jace, it was going to take more than one orgasm before she’d had enough. He stood, looking down at her. His eyes were hooded and his erection obvious through the fabric of his jeans. His gaze burned into her, but Sienna didn’t feel any need to move or cover herself with the sheet. His gaze made her feel powerful, desired.
She lay back, enjoying the view as his hands moved to his waist, sliding his belt buckle undone before shoving his jeans down. Her eyes widened at the sight and she felt a new rush of wetness against her thighs. Holy crap—the man went commando. His cock was heavy and hard, pressing against his stomach. She licked her lips and Jace grinned, chuckling low. “Like what you see, Darlin’?”
Sienna raised up onto her knees, running her hands across his chest, stroking across the flat discs of his nipples, then caressing his stomach before she reached down, gripping his cock in her hand. She pumped him slowly, moving her hand over the head. Jace shuddered. “Fuck, yeah,” he growled. She lowered her head to lick across the head, but he reached out and stopped her. “Sweetheart, I’m about five seconds from bursting and I want to be buried deep inside you when I come.”
Sienna squeezed him once more before falling back on the bed, widening her legs. God, this man made her feel so sexy. “Come and take me, then.”
“With pleasure, Darlin’” Jace laid himself down next to her, rolling quickly to one side to snag a condom from his bedside drawer. He rolled it over his cock, stroking himself as Sienna watched. Damn, could she get any more aroused? She’d never felt this way before, let alone when she’d already come once. What was this man doing to her? He moved again, rolling her under him and positioning his hands on either side of her head. His hair fell forward over his forehead as he looked down at her. “Ready?” Sienna thrust her hips upward, brushing the tip of him against her core. Jace groaned, one of his arms trembling slightly. “God, you gotta come quick, Sienna. I’m not going to last.” He moved one hand and guided himself to her pussy entrance, then thrust forward, filling her entirely.
She gasped, her hips thrusting upward again. God, he felt so damn good! He waited just a moment for her to adjust, before pulling back out almost all the way then thrust back inside, even deeper than before. Her breath hitched as he picked up one of her legs and moved it to his shoulder. He thrust forward again, moving even deeper inside her with the new position. There was that spot again. Gentle shudders overtook her, growing in intensity as his cock moved over the same spot over and over again with every thrust. She lifted her other leg, wrapping it around his waist, locking him deep within her. The licks of fire were building and growing inside her again, and her sex contracted around him.
“That’s it, come with me.” Jace’s pace increased, stoking the flames inside her to white hot. She pushed back against him, grinding herself against him as pleasure sparked all over her skin. With every thrust the pleasure grew, until there was nothing left in the world except Jace moving above her, inside her. Her sex fluttered then gripped him tight. Jace pushed into her, circling his hips against her as she shattered a second time. He swore under his breath, thrusting twice more and pulsing inside her. He collapsed next to her on the bed, sweat dotted on his forehead. “God, Sienna.” He took care of the condom and then gathered her up in his arms.
She grinned. “We are so doing that again, just as soon as I can move.”
Jace chuckled against her neck, his breath tickling her. “Sweetheart, if I had my way, you’d never be leaving my bed.” He kissed her once more, then pulled a quilt up over them both. She lay there in his arms as his breath evened out then slowed as he fell asleep. Still, sleep eluded her. Were the others still out there? Her cheeks warmed at the thought. They hadn’t exactly been quiet. Jace moved in his sleep, pulling her closer to him, and Sienna forced herself to stop thinking about it—all of it. There’d be plenty of time in the morning for hunting monsters. Tonight, she wanted to rest here in Jace’s arms and pretend the rest of the world didn’t exist.

Lainey’s power was a double-edged sword. It was no doubt incredibly useful against enemies, but Sienna wished the floor would open up and swallow her when the sense of elation and arousal overpowered the room when she and Jace walked into the living room the next morning. Payton grinned at them. “Feeling better, Sienna? Have a good night?”
Jace threw back his head and laughed and Sienna slapped him playfully across the chest.
Even Keila smiled at them. “It’s good to have you back, Sienna.” She turned to Lainey. “Can you dial it back, just a little, so we can get some
thing done today other than sex?”
“Sorry,” Lainey said, and the lust saturating the room faded. “But, Sienna, any time you want to do that again, feel free. It certainly had an impact around here.”
She didn’t mean . . . she couldn’t? Sienna’s cheeks burned and she buried her face in Jace’s chest. He chuckled again, stroking his hand down her back. “Glad we could be of service, ladies.”
“Alright,” Keila interrupted. She spoke firmly, but was unusually quiet. “Can we get back to the people trying to kill us?”
“Sorry,” Lainey smiled. “Just trying to lighten the mood.” She sat down in front of a stack of papers and started sorting.
Sienna looked around the room. There were more piles, and then completed stacks sitting neatly on the table. She sat down in front of one. “What are we doing now?”
“Mostly waiting for you,” Payton said. She held up a piece of old-fashioned paper, perforated on the edges.
“Why?”
Lainey turned toward her. “We know how difficult this is for you, but we need to make sure we’re all on the same page, and that we’re ready.”
“I know what’s going on in your head,” Payton interjected. “We’ve all been through shit. I’m scared, too. We all are. But we’ve all come through it, and you can, too.”
Keila knelt down on the floor next to her. “My foster parents tried to kill me, because of what I am. What we are.”
“And someone I was dating turned out to be working for them,” Lainey made a face. “Asshole.”
Payton smiled at the uncharacteristic outburst. She met Sienna’s gaze, her expression turning serious. “The point is, we’ve all been there. I was kidnapped, held by those monsters, until Keila and Jason rescued me. Even then, it took a hell of a long time before I’d trust them. But I did, and now it’s your turn.”
Sienna looked around the room. Every one of them had the same look on their face: determination. But could she trust them with this, with her mother’s deepest secrets? Was the only reason they were here because she had something they wanted?
“Oh, for God’s sake,” Payton said. “We’re not here out of any sense of obligation. We’re stronger together—the end. Trust me, we’ve all learned that the hard way.” She sighed. “I’m not under any illusions here. I’m positive they already know about you. Let’s work together and finally end this.”
“I’ve seen her, Sienna.” Emily’s voice was quiet, but it struck deep. “Your mom. I saw the look on your face when you opened the door, when you found her lying on the floor. I didn’t know who you were then, but that doesn’t mean I didn’t feel the pain. I don’t just see the scene as an observer; I feel it. I feel it now, and I’m not leaving you to fight this alone.”
Sienna swallowed. She met Emily’s gaze and held it. She had to make a choice. She had a lot to be angry about, but it was paralyzing her. Her mom wouldn’t have hurt her intentionally. If she looked past the hurt, she knew that as surely as she knew anything. Her mom had started this, given her the tools to fight back. Now it was her turn to take the reins. “Okay. Let’s do it.” She lifted a handful of papers from the stack in front of her. “What have you guys found so far?”
Payton laughed. “I’ve found a list of every power they were investigating. You won’t believe some of this shit. There’s one on this woman who was able to tell the future using frogs.”
Keila leaned over and tried to snatch the paper from Payton’s hand. “Come on, put that thing away.” Payton dodged her and Keila’s foot connected with another pile of papers behind her. A folder fell at her feet and she picked it up, flipping through it.
“My box details the selection process they used to choose the mothers,” Lainey said. “It’s actually really interesting, when you get past the desire to murder the fuckers.”
“What is it?” Sienna’s head jerked up at the sound of the deep voice. Keila’s boyfriend, Jason, was looking sharply at her. He waded through a mess of papers, taking her hand in his. “Keila, what’s wrong?”
Keila shook her head but remained silent. She stared at the folder in her hands for what seemed like forever, until she finally wrenched her eyes up to Sienna’s. Horror was reflected in her eyes.
“What’s going on?” Sienna said.
Keila moved suddenly, snapping the file shut. “It doesn’t matter.”
“What happened to working as a team?”
Keila shook her head rapidly. “No. You don’t need to know this.”
Sienna took a step forward, ignoring a crash behind her from where Payton sat. Keila locked her gaze to Sienna’s. Her face was pale and for the first time since Sienna had met her, she seemed genuinely scared. Tough, brave Keila was scared out of her mind. “Tell me. Now.”
“You’re Isobel’s clone.”

Sienna
She was sitting on the couch. At least, that’s where she thought she was. Was any of this real? Her mother had taken Claudia’s creation and twisted it to create Sienna. That’s what she’d meant when she’s said Sienna was the key. She was a tool. Had she ever been anything more?
She’d been so sure that her mom had loved her. Before she could even process that, another thought slammed into her brain. What did it mean to share every aspect of your DNA with someone? What kind of person did that make her? Was she a killer, too? Vague thoughts of nature versus nurture flitted through her mind. Was that why her mom had hidden her away? Now that she was back with others like her, would it take merely the flip of an unknown switch before she’d be the same? Although the reason why seemed to twist every moment, her mom had died protecting her. And now Sienna had let Jace become part of her life, and then the others. Was she putting them in danger, just as she had her mom, simply by existing?
She vaguely felt Jace pick up her hand. His arm wrapped around her shoulders, pulling her head down to her chest. There was an odd buzzing sound in the room. People talking? Sienna blocked it out. She couldn’t be here. If she had the DNA, the powers of a mad woman inside her, then she was a danger to everyone she met.
“Oh, come on!” Someone whacked her on the side of the head, jolting her back to reality. Payton was standing in front of her. “I’m not going to listen to that shit any longer. You are not Isobel.” Payton poked her in the chest with every word.
“Back off,” Jace hissed at her. Payton dropped her hand, but by then Cole had already stepped up. He stood, chest to chest with Jace, not saying a word. His eyebrows lowered and his jaw was tight, relaxing only a little when he turned his gaze to Sienna.
“Put it away, boys.” Keila elbowed her way in between Cole and Jace, bumping Sienna and catching her eye.
Calm drifted through the air like thick smoke, smothering the tension in the air. Lainey spoke moments after her influence spread through the room. “We’ve got enough to worry about without starting up with each other.” Cole nodded sharply and took Payton’s hand, tugging her away. Sienna took it all in with wide eyes. They’d been all together for barely a day and already she felt like she was losing her mind. She had to do something, had to take some sort of action, or she was going to end up locked up inside her mind again. She suppressed a shiver. Jace had barely been able to pull her out the first time. What would happen the next time they found something in the boxes? Could there possibly be anything left to destroy her life?
You’re still breathing, aren’t you?
Her heart raced and the world started to tilt and dim at the edges again. No! The others had spent months—even years—running and hiding. She wasn’t going to do that. She couldn’t. “We need to go now. Hit them as soon as possible.”
Jace’s arms tightened around her, but Reece beat him to the punch. “Not a good idea. This is the first time in a long while we’ve been completely hidden, safe. If you run out into the open now . . .” He picked up Emily’s hand, squeezing it.
“Isobel never stops,” Keila said. “Right now, we have the element of surprise. Once she finds out
who—what—Sienna really is, it’ll be over before we’ve had a chance.”
“She has half an army at her command!” Reece said.
Keila’s eyes hardened. “Never stopped me before.”
“And look how that worked out,” Reece spat. Keila’s mouth dropped open, her eyes glistening, but she refused to let a single tear fall.
“Stop!” Sienna had never heard Emily raise her voice, and from everyone reaction, it wasn’t something that happened often. “Yes, we need to know what we’re up against,” she said. “But overanalyzing everything while we camp here like sitting ducks won’t help us, either.”
“I won’t risk you,” Reece said. “I don’t want to risk any of you.” His eyes settled on Keila, softening.
She nodded, before turning back to the room. “Then one of us needs to go. She’ll be close, we know that much. I’ll go make a nuisance of myself around the place. She won’t be able to resist. Then I’ll find some way to get word back.”
“The hell you will,” Jason said. “That’s a fucking suicide mission.”
“We have to do something!” Keila said. “She knows where Sienna is. She’s the one that led us to her in the first place. Do you really think she’s going to wait much longer to take her? Except that this time, she’ll find all of us.”
“Reece is right,” Payton said. “We need more information.”
“I agree,” Cole said. “I’ll go.”
Payton rounded on him, her head jerking back. “The fuck you will!”
Cole wrapped her in his arms, squeezing her tightly. He held her for an endless moment before pulling back, his arms still looped around her neck. “You’re right, Gorgeous.” He looked up at Keila. “Everyone’s right. You need to know what the hell you’re up against, and you need to get the upper hand. But once someone’s inside, I don’t think they’ll be coming back out without a whole lot of luck and a little bloodshed. That’s where I come in.”
