Crime Song

A couple of good men despite their faults. Both had real heart. Who am I to judge?
Acknowledgements
I have been blessed with having the best people in the publishing business behind the Frankie Marr series.
First, I’d like to thank my incredible agent, Jane Gelfman of Gelfman Schneider ICM Partners, for her invaluable advice, support, and patience in guiding me through this process and finding me the perfect home at Mulholland Books/Little, Brown and Company. Big, big thank you to Josh Kendall, my brilliant editor at Mulholland Books, who had faith in the first book, The Second Girl, and took me on. Josh helped mold these books and the character, and without him, both The Second Girl and Crime Song would not be the books they are. And thank you, Mulholland Books UK, especially my UK editor, Ruth Tross, who shares the vision. Thanks to the entire team at Mulholland and Little, Brown and Company for their unending support—specifically, Pam Brown, Katherine Myers, Sabrina Callahan, Emily Giglierano, Nicky Guerreiro, and Alyssa Persons. When I first met Josh, he told me that Mulholland Books was like a family, and he was right.
I’m grateful for all my brothers and sisters in the writing community and law enforcement. All of you are always there when I need you, and for that I thank you.
And finally, thanks to Dianne and Cheri for always being my first eyes before the manuscript goes out; my mother, Connie, and sister, Sara, for always believing; and then of course my incredible wife, Catherine, and daughter, Vivienne, for keeping me grounded and realizing what really matters in life.
