“I was saving the tequila for us to drink together. This idea just suddenly popped into my head that I needed to get her drunk.”

  “Well, she’s drunk. Happy?”

“Yeah. Why are you so angry?”

“I’ve never seen you like this before. You turned into an animal. It was ugly, Fabian.”

“Okay, so I acted too rash. I’m sorry. I just wanna protect us, that’s all.”

Sloane tries to get up off the couch. “Where’s the damn remote? I wanna wash sharmagulah…” She is too dizzy to sit up and flops back down.

Fabian grabs the remote off of the table and turns on the TV. He mutes the sound.

“There. You can watch TV while sleeping it off.”

“Thankya, Fabeeen. Too bad wee hater each other’s guts! We’d make greeaaat TV buddies.” Sloane has a good belly laugh over her comment.

Fabian goes back to his seat and puts a light rock CD into the player. He really needs to unwind. He knows Claire is right about him turning into an animal. That’s a side of him that rarely raises its ugly head. He has to be really enraged to go to that place. Sloane is triggering dark feelings inside of him, which makes him uneasy.

  Almost two hours later…

After driving at a maddeningly slow speed in bumper-to-bumper traffic, stopping and starting the whole way, passing several industrious Mexican kids attempting to get them interested in buying Chiclets, candy and assorted snacks, they have finally reached the official border crossing.

He feels a hard knot rise up in his stomach.

  Act normal.

  “Hello.”

“How many in the vehicle?” the male border worker asks.

  “Three.”

  “Passports, please.”

“Sure thing.” Fabian hands him all three passports. Beads of sweat form on his forehead and upper lip.

A border agent leans inside Claire’s open window.

  “How many inside?”

“There’s three of us,” Claire says with a smile.

“Open the door.” The agent is pointing towards the back of the RV.

Nerves rattle inside of Fabian. This is the moment of truth.

Claire hurries to the back and unlocks the RV door.

The agent steps inside and notices Sloane sprawled out on the couch, passed out. The bottle of tequila sitting on the coffee table is clearly visible. They had removed all signs of duct tape from Sloane as a precaution. Fabian is glad they did.

“Our friend had a little too much fun in Mexico,” Claire says nervously with a smile plastered on her face. “She’s American like us.”

The agent maintains his stern demeanor as he scans the interior. “Got anything to declare?”

  “Just that tequila.”

The agent abruptly exits and slams the door shut.

  “Whew,” Claire says quietly.

The border worker hands Fabian back the passports without incident. “Okay, you can go.”

“Thanks. Have a great day.” Fabian is silently doing the happy dance in his head.

Claire comes back to her seat and they both share a moment of relief.

“That was easy, huh?” Fabian says with ironic amusement.

“I never want to go through this again, you hear me, Fabian Cooper?”

“I hear you sweetheart. Can’t wait till we get to Vegas.”

  *****

“We’re really in Las Vegas!” Claire says excitedly as she takes in the local flavor happening outside her passenger seat window. She can see why this is considered such a fabulous playground for adult entertainment. Everywhere she looks there are bold, colorful neon signs, buildings of every shape and size, stretch limos, snazzy cars, advertisements for live shows and, of course, the casinos.

“Fabian, can’t we stop and go into a casino? Just for a little while?”

“Come on, babe. You promised me you wouldn’t ask. You know we can’t.”

“I know I promised, but that was before we got here. It’s so exciting.”

“Right now I’m looking for a good spot to park for the night. I’m tired and I need some sleep.”

“Aw, I know. Still, can’t we just go to a casino for half an hour and leave?”

Fabian laughs. “Honey, no one goes to a casino for half an hour. Those places are great at trapping you inside, making sure you spend lots of money before releasing you onto the streets. Meanwhile, you’re so happy to be among all the excitement that you don’t care that they made you poor.”

“I’m not trying to be a pest about it. I told you I’ve never been to a casino.”

“I know. They have them in Atlantic City, you know?”

  “That’s not the same thing.”

  “Sure it is.”

“I wanna know what it’s like to be in a real Las Vegas casino.”

“Look. I promise we’ll come back here again and we’ll go to all the best shows and casinos, okay?”

“No. Why don’t we live dangerously while we’re here?”

“Me being a fugitive isn’t dangerous enough for you?”

Claire playfully slaps Fabian on the arm. “You know what I mean. Come on. We’re only going to be here for one night. Let’s do something fun.”

“What about sleeping beauty back there?”

Claire looks back at Sloane, who is sleeping soundly on the couch. Her hands, wrists and feet are securely taped. There’s no way she’s going to be any trouble for them. Claire is sure of it.

“Find a good parking spot and we’ll lock her in here. No problemo.”

“Okay, you talked me into it. Geez. I can’t say no to those beautiful eyes of yours.”

  “Yay!”

  “Shhh. You’ll wake her.”

  “Sorry.”

  “Yay,” Claire whispers.

  One hour later…

Claire sits in front of a slot machine inside of a small casino off the main strip. This is a compromise place that she’s perfectly happy with. It’s older and not as flashy as the more modern casinos, but it’s still in Vegas. Fabian is at the machine next to her. He’s not really that into this game like she is. He’s content to sip his drink and watch her put a stream of coins into her machine. So far, she hasn’t gotten lucky. But, she feels in her gut this machine has got her name on it.

“Come on, baby. Give me a winner.” Claire presses a button and waits for the images to line up. “Come on. Please, win. Please, please, please.”

She sees the jackpot words line up in a perfect row. Claire feels a rush of excitement pumping through her body. “Aaaiiieee! I won! Fabian, did you see that? I won.”

Fabian pats her on the arm. “That’s great, baby. How much did you win?”

  “One thousand dollars. Woowee!”

This is the first time she’s ever won anything of significant value. It feels fantastic. She never thought she’d be this excited over winning a thousand bucks. If Fabian wasn’t here she’d probably sit at this machine for hours trying to recapture this good feeling.

“Cool,” Fabian says, standing up. “Okay, let’s get your pay off so we can go check out the rest of the place.”

A while later the two are sitting in the half-empty casino lounge listening to a male comedian struggle through a performance. The audience is lukewarm at best.

“He’s not very good, is he?” Claire says.

“Not really. That’s probably why he’s here and not at a bigger venue.”

“Let’s go back to the camper. I’ve seen enough.”

  “Are you sure?”

“Yeah. Thanks for bringing me here. I had a good time.”

“When we come back we’ll do this town right. We’ll spend lots of time on the main strip.”

  “I can’t wait.”

  “Let’s go.”

Claire holds tightly onto her man as they walk out of the lounge. She loves that he did his best to make her happy. She’s confident he’ll keep his promise about coming back to Vegas once his legal troubles are o
ver.

“Hey Claire. Wanna do something really naughty?” Fabian has a mischievous glint in his eyes.

“What do you have in mind?”

  “Come on.”

Fabian grabs Claire’s hand and leads her down a couple of hallways.

  “Where are we going?”

  “You’ll see in a second.”

Fabian stops in front of a staff bathroom. “Here we are.”

  “Where?”

  “A place where magic happens.”

Claire looks around, but is confused because all she sees is a hallway that ends where they are. “Where’s the magic?”

Fabian gestures to the bathroom. “Right here.”

  “It’s a bathroom.”

“I know.” Fabian opens the door and pulls Claire inside.

Claire notices that this bathroom is larger than the ones for guests. Where she and Fabian are standing there’s a brown couch against one wall opposite the sinks and mirrors. A few magazines are scattered on top of a small wooden side table next to the couch. Another door leads to a couple of large stalls.

“Why are we in here? It’s nothing special,” Claire says.

Fabian pulls her up close to him. “Oh, you’ll change your mind,” he says lustily as he tugs down her pants, exposing her underwear.

“Here? You wanna do it here?”

“Yeah. You’ve never had sex in a public bathroom before?”

“No. This is the last place I’d think of doing it in.”

The bathroom smells of hand soap and disinfectant.

  Is he serious?

Fabian removes his shoes, unzips the crotch of his jeans and steps out of them. He pulls down his black briefs. Claire sees that his love rocket is ready for action. She, however, isn’t sure about this.

“Somebody could come in and catch us.”

“That’s what makes it so naughty.” Fabian grabs her up in his arms and kisses her long and hard. He leads her over to the plain brown couch and feels her up. ‘Mmm. You feel so good, Claire. Take off your panties.” His eyes are filled with urgent sexual desire.

Despite her reservations about being discovered by a casino staff person, she pulls and wiggles until her bikini panties are way down her thighs. Still, she’s not going to get fully undressed, just in case.

Fabian lies down on the couch and pulls Claire on top of him. Claire enjoys being in this position. She wastes no time in grabbing a hold of his impressive manhood, rubbing it back and forth against her vajayjay with enough friction to get them both super horny.

Fabian has his eyes closed, enjoying her doing whatever she wants to him. His manhood is turning into a hard, hot rocket that is eager to zoom in on her erogenous zone.

Claire feels a rush of excitement. She’s filled with a sense of urgency to move things along before they get caught. She’s also extremely turned on by the idea of having hot sex with her boyfriend in a public place, a dirty deed most people would frown on.

Claire closes her eyes and plunges his strong hot rocket inside of her heated warm walls. She greedily engulfs him inside of her. “Umm…yeah…that’s nice.”

Fabian helps her pump his gung ho rod in and out of her, shoving himself between her voraciously eager thighs. Feeling the pressure of discovery they get right into lustfully impatient sex. Their breaths growing more and more rapid with each lustful thrust.

“Uh…ah…uh, mmm…yes, Fabian. Do me good, honey.”

Fabian grabs her butt and forces her down onto him as he thrusts his powerful thighs upwards, plowing further and deeper into her damp, throbbing, deliciously hot sweetness.

  “Umm…Yes, Claire….uh, uh, uh!”

Claire squeezes his muscular shoulders, needing to find somewhere to place her hands. The couch can barely hold the both of them. She loves welcoming him inside of her at this splendid angle. It’s much easier for her to come when she’s on top.

“Oh, ah hah…you’re so hot baby.”

Claire is panting heavily as her hips go into hypersonic movement. She’s getting dazed as he comes ever so closer to her G spot, quivering with fervent desire. Excitement continues rising until she knows she’s on the verge of going into dizzying heights of ecstasy.

They grind into one another quicker, harder, zealously pressing into each other with delicious, passionate force.

“I…I’m coming,” Claire pants excitedly between hot breaths.

Fabian too is wound up like a top ready to explode. “Come on…come…oh, baby, yeah…uh…ah!”

Claire’s orgasm is intense, bursting with sensuously erotic ecstasy. “Ooh…ah…ayaaa!” Her highly aroused G spot is salaciously ravished, such an exquisitely pleasurable delight as she shakes and moans. She feels Fabian coming too. His impassioned cries are so hot and erotically charged.

“Uh huh…feels so good…um…oh, Claire…oh…ah!” Fabian comes with thundering force.

An arousing feeling of titillating lasciviousness lingers for several moments after her heated orgasm. Her happiness at this moment goes beyond mere words. So, this is how fast and furious lovemaking feels. She’s hooked!

Her loins are still tingling with electric energy as she gets up off of him.

Claire and Fabian swiftly get their clothes on. Claire looks at her wildly disheveled hair in the mirror. She laughs. “Wow, you were right, baby. This was magic.”

Fabian washes his hands and splashes cool water on his face. “That’s officially the best public quickie I’ve ever had.”

“Me too. Well, actually, it’s the only quickie I’ve ever had out in public and it was awesome,” Claire beams.

  A short while later…

Claire steps into the RV and sees that Sloane is still lying on the couch snoring loudly. The TV is going, so she must have awoken at some point.

Fabian grabs her from behind. “I’m glad I let you talk me into staying up past my bedtime.” He affectionately kisses her on the side of her head.

“Me too. We deserve to have a little fun.”

The two giggle like teenagers as they prepare to turn in for the night.

  *****

Claire and Sloane are alone inside the camper at a truck stop near Topeka, Kansas. Fabian went inside the shopping center to get some supplies. While on the road Fabian has grown to love these truck stops. She has too. These places have everything a road traveler could possibly want. The food is pretty good, you can gas up and buy supplies for the road. She also likes that people are generally nice, but nobody tries to get into your business.

“So, what do you say, Claire? Can I take a shower?”

Claire is deciding whether or not to grant Sloane her wish. She has to admit that Sloane has been a model, if reluctant, captive so far. She hasn’t made a scene or done anything to set off Fabian’s temper since that first day at the taco stand. Maybe Sloane has realized things will go better for her if she cooperates. No one’s coming to her rescue thanks to her own scheming. She cut off all communications with Nathan and Gray to maintain her disappearing act.

  “Well, maybe it’s okay.”

Claire noticed also that Sloane’s demeanor towards her has softened up over the last few days. Is it too much to hope that this trip with them in the RV camper is giving her a change of heart? Claire certainly hopes so. Trying to ruin Fabian by cooking up this stupid scheme is really not worth all the pain and suffering she’s causing. Surely Sloane can see that now. Any reasonable person would.

“I can’t wait to take a shower. I feel so grimy.”

Maybe Sloane should worry less about her grimy body and more about her crummy mindset. The only reason she’s considering granting Sloane’s request is because she’s a woman too. She understands how it must feel to not be able to wash up after many days of travel. Claire is certainly grateful for the small shower in the camper bathroom. Fabian keeps the water tank full so they can enjoy one shower per day.

  “I’ll get the scissors.”

“I appreciate you being so nice to me, Cla
ire. Without you here I’d probably be beaten to a pulp.”

Claire returns with the scissors. “Fabian has a right to be angry with you.”

“Oh, I know. If I were in his shoes, I’d feel the same way.”

“Why don’t you try to reach out to him, Sloane? Tell him you’re sorry and that you regret this whole thing.”

“You think that’s all I have to do to make this right?”

  “It’s a start.”

“I’ll think about it. After I’ve had my shower, and a change of clothes, you and I can really sit and have a heart to heart talk.”

  “I’d like that.”

“Maybe what our family needs is someone like you to bring us all together. You’ve certainly helped me see things differently.”

  “Good.”

Claire is happy to hear Sloane say this. With this change in attitude maybe she’s finally seeing glimpses of the real Sloane. The woman she was before she married into wealth and status.

Claire begins snipping the tape from around Sloane’s legs. “Just so you know, Fabian does not agree with me doing this. I hope you appreciate that I’m doing this because I feel you’ve earned it through good behavior.”

“I understand. You’re a good person, Claire. I can see why Fabian is in love with you. You bring out the best in people.”

“I just try to treat people the way I want to be treated. You know the golden rule.”

Claire snips tape from around Sloane’s joined together arms.

“Claire, if Fabian doesn’t object. I’d be willing to help you get your job back. Maybe not working with Nathan, but there’s other places in the company that could use a smart girl like you.”

“Thanks. I love working at CE and would go back there in a second.”

Sloane is now completely free of her duct tape bindings. She picks off the remaining tape pieces and tosses them aside.

“Well! I guess I’m ready to take that shower now.”

Claire stands up and walks behind Sloane to the bathroom door. She feels like she’s doing the right thing. In her way of thinking, people respond better to kindness than they do to cruelty. By keeping her interactions with Sloane mainly positive she has caused Sloane to reconsider what she’s doing to her family, and Fabian.
