Elena spoke softly, “I need the money and yes, I do believe she is going to be a problem. So you and Tears—how’s that working out? We knew you two were perfect for each other. Hunter and I sensed it the day we met her. I miss him sometimes, Thorn…how is he really?”
Thorn came very close to telling Elena the truth. “I don’t know, Elena. He doesn’t seem like the same man. He doesn’t say much to anyone lately and I’m not asking. He knows about Tears and me and he’s okay with it. Which is strange—I thought he’d flip out on me. He thinks I should marry her someday…” Thorn couldn’t lie completely to Elena. She always was able to see right through him.
She spoke softly, “I suppose that will be the only way to stop Nailz from killing you. Hunter and I thought you two might end up together from the night you brought her to meet us. Tears is as young as Kima was when she became V’s old lady and everyone is fine with it all now. Nailz shouldn’t say too much—look how much younger Jo is compared to his age. Tears has only eyes for you anyway. It might be interesting to see her put this little bitch in her place. I was trying to do Thrash a favor, but I wish I had stayed out of it. You’re always welcome here and I’ll try and help pave the way with Nailz accepting the fact his little girl is all grown up. I hope I can push Kat off on one of the other bikers. She seems to be a snotty little bitch. Joy won’t take her crap and I can already see this isn’t going to work out. I doubt Jack would be interested in her—he’s had enough of the Finn’s. Maybe JJ would be? He’s single and good looking. I can’t believe I’m sitting here trying to hook this girl up to get her out of here and she’s been here about a day so far.” Elena tried to laugh, but it hurt too much.
“Elena, are you in pain?” Thorn could see she was uncomfortable.
“Thorn, honey, it happens all the time—don’t worry.”
Tears finally drove down the lane and the gravel was flying as she parked her car. She got out of her car and looked for Thorn and Elena. Spotting them, she began running toward them, her black hair flying behind her. Dragon ran past her and right to Elena.
“Dragon, come here boy! You got my dog for me? Oh, thank you so much! I’ve missed him terribly. I can’t believe Hunter let him go.” Elena was trying to hug her dog but her belly was in the way.
“Elena, I’ve missed you so much. I don’t see you as much as I should and I’m sorry for that. Thorn would’ve brought Dragon, but we used him as an excuse for me to come to the cookout. We hate sneaking around, but we can’t figure out how to tell my dad we’re seeing each other yet.” Tears kissed Elena and gave her tummy a pat. “How’s the little one in there? I hope you have a girl like Kima did so Josie has somebody to play with besides my little monster brothers.”
“Joy says I better have a girl, too. I’d like a girl under the circumstances, but a healthy baby is all that matters to me.” Elena stroked her stomach soothingly.
They all looked toward the house where they could hear Thrash yelling and Kat was screaming back at him. It was very loud and even the bikers who were by the grill looked toward the house. Finally, Kat came out and headed toward the picnic table. She didn’t speak to Elena or acknowledge Tearney. She was looking straight at Thorn and she grabbed his arm. Dragon immediately began to growl and Elena shushed him and held on to his collar. The dog hated Kat on sight it seemed.
“I’d like to go for that ride you promised me right now, if you don’t mind. I need to get away from my brother.” Kat’s voice was breathless and she kept looking toward the house where Thrash was.
Tears looked at Thorn who rolled his eyes and shook his head no. Elena was looking in horror at Kat. That was enough for Tears.
Tears moved over to Kat and grabbed her hand off Thorn’s arm. “Back the fuck up, bitch. Find yourself another biker. Thorn is my man. Thorn, did you tell her you’d give her a ride?” Her voice was angry and she looked at Kat like she was ready to scratch her eyes out.
“Tears—honey—Thorn did not tell Kat he’d take her for a ride. In fact, he made it very clear he wouldn’t. Kat, this is Tears and she and Thorn are seeing each other. It would be a very good idea for you to move away from him now. I’m sorry, but you don’t come on to the men around here like you just did. I won’t have it, nor will Joy—who you haven’t yet met and is the co-owner of this farm. Tears is very close to us.” Elena was using her no nonsense voice and Kat backed away a bit from Thorn, but she was still glaring at Tears. Elena continued, “Tears is Nailz’ daughter and I know you may not understand how the club works, but what you just did isn’t cool at all.”
Kat looked at Elena with a frown. “My brothers are both in Bound for Hell and it was my brother’s idea for Thorn to take me for a ride. I’m sure that over rules Tears here just being a daughter to a member. Veiko is a president and Thrash a vice president, what is Nailz? So I outrank this girl.”
That was the silliest thing Tears had ever heard and she felt heat blasting into her face. This stupid bitch needed a lesson and insulting her dad like that? Oh, hell no! She reached up, grabbed a fistful of Kat’s hair, and yanked her away from Thorn and more into the yard. “You don’t insult my father who has been in the club more years than either of your brothers. You don’t talk back to Elena and you will never touch Thorn again.” Tears pulled back her fist and let a punch fly into Kat’s nose. Blood splattered from Kat’s nose and she screamed. Tears wasn’t done yet. She punched Kat in the nose again before letting her fall on the ground. She looked at her and gave her a good hard kick to the ribs before walking inside the house.
Kat was wailing on the ground that her nose was broken and finally JJ walked over to see if she was all right.
Elena looked at Thorn and burst out laughing. “You called that one perfectly. Kima, number two! I just hope Thrash doesn’t get mad at Tears. Although I’m sure Tears is inside explaining everything to him. Outranking, that’s a new one to me. I guess I’ll have to tell Kima and Joy to watch this bitch I’m stuck with. Thank you so much for talking Hunter into giving me Dragon, I know you were behind it.”
Thorn got up and grabbed a beer from a cooler and saw Tears talking to Thrash. He didn’t look too happy, but finally gave Tears a hug. She walked out of the house with two plates piled high with potato salad and headed to the grill. Getting burgers and the fixings she brought them back to the table and sat down. She pushed a plate in front of Thorn and handed him a fork.
“Elena, can I make you a plate? I’m very sorry for punching out Kat at your house, but nobody insults my dad or comes on to Thorn like that. I had to explain it to Thrash, who said he was fine with it. He said that his sister is a bitch. I hope I busted her nose, too. Who the hell does she think she is? Did you want me to get you some food?”
Thorn grinned at Tears. Yup, she was the ol’ lady for him. She handled that situation easily. He felt no pity for Kat Finn and doubted anyone else did. It might be brought to Nailz’ attention, but Tears had every right to defend her father. He hoped though his name wouldn’t be mentioned, though. The last thing he needed was dealing with a pissed off Nailz.
Elena was laughing. “Oh damn, you remind so much of Kima, Tears. Joy is going to be so pissed she missed this. I have awful heartburn so I don’t want to eat.”
They watched as JJ walked up to Thrash and spoke to him. He grabbed a bunch of napkins and headed back to Kat who was sitting with the other bikers. She took them and held them to her nose. JJ got her a helmet and they walked over to his bike. Once he started it, Kat climbed on and he slowly drove up the lane.
Thrash walked over to the table. “JJ thinks her nose is broken so he is taking her to the emergency room. I’m sorry, Elena. I tried to talk some sense into her, but we haven’t been very close in the past year. Tears, she shouldn’t have insulted your dad like that. Thorn, I wasn’t aware you and Tears were seeing each other. I gotta explain this to Nailz, but I don’t see the need to mention that fact to him since as Tears pointed out, she is of legal age. Good luck with Nailz, bro….He’ll lov
e to use you as a punching bag, but it won’t be me who rats you out.”
Thorn looked at Thrash, “Thanks, bro. I got enough shit to deal with lately with Hunter.” Shit, he almost spilled everything.
“He hasn’t been himself for a long time…what’s up with that?” Thrash wanted answers Thorn couldn’t give him.
“I don’t know bro. He doesn’t talk much to me. We mainly talk about the Lodge. Maybe you should try talking to him.” Thorn didn’t know what else to say.
“I guess Nailz would be the one to do that. He’s known him the longest and I gotta get up to the clubhouse. Elena, call me there if my sister is too much for you.” He dropped a kiss on her head and walked to his bike. As Thrash left there were three sighs of relief from the picnic table.
Chapter Seventeen
Jersey and Joy weren’t going to be able to visit Kima because of the incident at the Baby Boutique. Kima had gotten a kick out of the story when Joy called to explain why. She was coming home within days so it wasn’t as if they wouldn’t see baby Josie soon enough.
Joy knew they were taking the bike tonight so she dressed in jeans and a peach colored tube top with an over-shirt that tied and had angel sleeves. It was one of her favorite tops and she knew with her blonde hair, she looked hot. She wore boots and had a light, black leather jacket in case the night became chilly while riding.
Jersey was taking her for a seafood dinner and afterward she thought they’d stop off at the clubhouse. She didn’t really care for the women up there very much. As Jersey’s ol’ lady though, they all had to be nice to her or he’d rain shit down on their heads. She liked Sea Woods ol’ ladies much better because they were already a close knit group.
Jersey was in the shower singing Redbone’s ‘Come and Get your Love’. Damn, that man could sing, while Joy couldn’t sing if her life depended on it. She was a great dancer though so she figured that made up for her lack of singing talent. She watched as he came out of the bathroom and feasted on him with greedy eyes. His towel was casually slung around his hips and with his chest all tattooed up he was one hot piece of ass. Maybe tonight she’d finally get some of him. She crossed her fingers and hoped while listening to him sing.
Jersey walked over to her and asked if she would braid his long, dark hair. That suited her fine; she hated being whipped in the face by his hair while on the bike. His hair was silky and smelled like Herbal Essence shampoo as she ran the comb through it. She loved that green shampoo with the cool flowers and the goddess looking chick on the bottle and even used it as bubble bath. Jersey knew she loved the smell of it and she bet he washed his hair with it, just for her. Wishing again he could be a one woman man, she finished his braid and looked him over. He was wearing a plain, black tee-shirt and black jeans and Joy felt butterflies in her stomach. If only pretend was forever…
Jersey loved every minute of Joy’s fingers going through his hair. Just the simple touch of her fingers got him hard and he was making sure tonight they did something about that. He even had a room reserved at a motel directly on the ocean so his Joyful could walk on the beach. If his boys fucked up his night, the temper he usually controlled so well was going to come out in full force. He’d already told Thrash to handle anything major and he didn’t know if they’d even stop in at the club unless Joy wanted to. Some nasty chicks were hanging around and if they messed with his ol’ lady that’d probably ruin the night. He really did need to make an appearance, though. He was spending far too much time down in Sea Woods and his boys were complaining. He hadn’t seen his parents or sisters in months, although they spoke on the phone.
Jersey wanted Joy to meet his family, but he was taking everything slowly so he didn’t spook her. He hated to do anything slow—ride his motorcycles, walk, fuck. He liked speed. This shit was killing him, but he wanted Joy and in the end he was going to have her forever.
Jersey grabbed his colors and his leather and stuffed them into the bag on the back of his sissy bar along with Joy’s coat and pocketbook. His chopper started on the first kick and he motioned For Joy to get on behind him. He loved the way her legs gripped around his legs when she leaned back against the sissy bar. His hand rested on her leg as they left Sea Woods. Life was perfect now.
Jersey pulled up to the restaurant where he was well-known and Joy climbed off the bike. They would eat on the patio—which was less formal and he could get away with his colors. The seafood here was fresh from the docks and the lobster was served anyway you wanted. They made their own Sangria here, with fresh fruit so he ordered a pitcher of it. Joy was smiling and Jersey wanted to wake up to that smile forever. He had to make her realize that they could have a life together.
Dinner was wonderful and the lobster stuffed with fresh crabmeat they both decided on had melted in their mouths. They shared a dessert called Double Devil’s Delight covered in fresh raspberries. The sangria was almost to the bottom of the pitcher when they decided to drop over to the clubhouse for a short visit. Jersey needed to show his face and Joy didn’t know yet that he had a motel room waiting for them.
A fight was going on in the Central Jersey clubhouse. Two whores that appeared out of nowhere months ago were fighting again. Crazy had picked up with Stella and had dumped Jules after she had the baby. Nobody had understood why he had left Jules (who was so pretty) for this bitch either, but they had supported his choice. After all, it wasn’t their business who he fucked. Stella was taking on Lorraine and they were both drunk off their asses. They looked like Satan’s spawn and had tempers to match. Thrash was leaning against the bar taking bets on who would kill who first.
Stella was nearly six foot tall, with a slightly crooked nose and long dyed, black hair. She hadn’t asked any questions after Crazy had disappeared and had taken to sucking and fucking whatever man wanted her. She loved to fuck any man with a cock and didn’t mind getting it in every hole.
Lorraine was an evil bitch who was utterly disgusting. She barely bathed and smelled fishy. Lorraine was more into chicks than men and she was a mean ass-bitch. But she’d do a brother if he bought her some drinks, got her high or tossed her a few bucks.
Both of the women were into threesomes while the other club sluts weren’t. Some of the bikers wondered why these two whores were even allowed in the club. Maybe the threesome acts none of the other girls were into gave them a place. They were most of the biker’s last resort and they only went to them when the other sluts were busy. None of the other girls liked them. Only the drunk off their ass men would touch them or visiting members who didn’t know any better. But here they were in the middle of the club, fighting tooth and nail over something. Most of the men thought they were really bi-sexual and in a relationship because of the way they clung to each other usually. They even shared a room in a nearby boarding house together. It was a dump and the rent was cheap. Besides, they were at the clubhouse most of the time.
As Joy and Jersey walked through the door, Joy turned up her nose in disgust. Stella always claimed she could have been a ballerina, but nobody bought her story. She had come from Texas though, supposedly to dance in New York City. However, she must have been a flop because now she was a biker whore. She made her way to the bikers because no decent man would touch her. Joy had danced with her a few times, but Stella only danced in dives now. Her foul temper didn’t attract men at all and the decent go-go bars had fired her. She didn’t even try to be attractive anymore since Crazy wasn’t around. At least he had been able to keep her in line. Joy wondered where he had gone…maybe jail again…
Lorraine fucked men for money when she could and she was a pickpocket. The other girls were always swearing she was stealing from them. Both were becoming a problem and needed to be booted from the clubhouse.
With a pissed off look, Jersey glared at Thrash. He looked around at the women fighting and felt his temper coming out full force.
Thrash rolled his shoulders as if to say who cares, we’re making money off this fight. Women fighting always amused Thrash
and making money made everyone happy.
This was not what Jersey had in mind when he said he’d be bringing Joy to the clubhouse. Joy walked around the screaming women who were pulling each other’s hair out in clumps and rolling on the dirty clubhouse floor. The men watching the fight seemed to be enjoying it and were calling out bets.
Joy made her way over to Thrash and looked at him with a slightly disgusted frown. This was the shit she hated—women weren’t supposed to act like this. She ordered a drink and leaned into Jersey. Joy wasn’t amused at all. “Jersey, is this our entertainment for the night? Damn, we should have gone to a movie. Stella was crowing last time I saw her that Crazy was her old man. Whatever happened to him?”
Jersey looked at Joy with alarm. “Fuck, it was Stella who was sleeping with Crazy after Jules, wasn’t it? Tramp wanted us to find her because she probably is with the Fiends, too. I’ll tell you about it all after we get out of here.”
He walked over to Thrash and told him the news. Thrash gave a sharp whistle and the club quieted down. Tiny came right over and it was explained that both women were most likely linked to the Filthy Fiends MC. None of the bikers wanted to go in and break up the fight which now involved lots of spit and blood.
“Thrash, make a call to Darko and see if he can put them some place until Tramp gets here. Tiny, knock one of them out and tie them up until we can transport them wherever they’re going. I gotta call Tramp. Blondie, I’ll be right back.” He dropped a kiss on Joy’s lips and headed to the pay phone.
Jersey came back within five minutes. “Bro, these two are with the Fiends or at least Tramp is pretty sure they are. We’ve never had to hurt women to get information like Tramp wants outta these two. So they’re going over to the basement at Nefarious’ clubhouse. Tramp and Hammer are on their way down. Personally, I don’t give a flying fuck what happens to either of them, but you need to get their shit out of that boarding house. One of them has to think we’re moving them or some story. I suppose they’re gonna disappear and we don’t want the pigs coming around asking about them. I’m out with my ol’ lady tonight so I’m leaving this in your hands, Thrash. I’ve got no stomach for abusing women, but it makes sense since the Fiends know so much of our business lately. Do whatever it takes to make those bitches spill their guts. No loss either losing these two ugly fucking whores. Fucking Rabid would have killed them just for being ugly.” Jersey laughed because he knew Rabid would have.
