Spencer nodded. “I could tell you were enjoying the music but it seemed like you were fighting it, too. You’d move a little but then you’d stop yourself.” Her brows furrowed and she looked down at the floor as if she was remembering, and she looked up at him and nodded. “Why did you hide the part of yourself that loves to dance?”

She shrugged and smiled. “Dancing is just a hobby. It’s not something I can’t live without.” Her desolate expression told it all though. He thought maybe it was more important to her than she realized.

  “You didn’t answer my question.”

She bit her lip and then said, “Belly dancing can be very erotic. If I came ‘out of the closet,’ the principal of the school I teach at, the school board, and probably the parents of my kindergarten students, would not be happy about it.”

“So that means what?” Heath asked. “You’re not allowed to be a woman? You’re not allowed to have an enjoyable, erotic pastime?”

Cody stroked a finger along her jawline drawing her attention. “You have a right to a private life, filled with whatever pursuits you choose. Not what they approve.”

Maizy smiled wistfully as she looked at all three of them. “In theory, yes.”

Spencer sighed and drew her gaze again. “What will you do if the four of us move forward and they find out about us?”

“Well, I’m not sure. I was hoping to…”

“Keep it a secret?” Heath asked in a grumbly voice. She didn’t respond but the misery showed on her face.

Cody frowned just a bit and it drew his arched eyebrows down over his dark eyes. “Did you want to keep us a secret until you knew how you felt about us? Kicking the tires?”

Maizy looked up at Cody, and Spencer’s heart gave a painful lurch at her torn expression. Their relationship wasn’t a done deal. Not by a long shot.

“I already know how I feel about you, but…have you seen or heard how Lucy, Beck, and Patrick have been treated? They’re all self-employed so they can chart their own courses and drum up more clients if they need to. But I’m subject to the whims of an entire school board, and a school district. It’s one thing for them to know that I belly dance. It’s an entirely different issue for them to find out that I’m involved in a ménage. They’d skewer me and not only would they not give me a good reference after they fired me, they’d probably make sure I never taught kindergarten ever again.”

  “That’s not right,” Heath said

“Maybe not, but it’s reality. I’ve had a chance to talk with Grace Warner and I have a pretty good idea of the amount of genuine love and respect that’s a part of her relationship with Jack, Ethan, and Adam. I know they’re rock solid. But if it became known that I was involved in that kind of relationship, the board wouldn’t care about how solid it was. They’d label it immoral conduct. I love Divine. I don’t want to live anywhere else. But there’s a small, vocal minority who would have a lot to say about my choices.”

“Is it everyone on the school board who thinks that way, or just a select judgmental few?”

“I don’t know for certain about each member but I’m unwilling to put it to the test. That’s the only reason I didn’t confront Presley Ann Woodworth tonight. Her father is on the school board. He seems like a nice man but then again they all do until you delve deeper. I’d never paid that much attention before I met Lucy and…I don’t know what to say. It’s one thing to spend time with you at the club where people are less likely to notice, but in Divine…I don’t know how to act with you in public. I need…”

“An instruction manual?” Cody asked with an encouraging smile. Spencer was glad that he’d dialed back the disgruntlement. He didn’t like seeing Maizy put on the hot seat like that.

Maizy smiled back at Cody and took his hand, seeming to hold on to it like it was a lifeline. “Something like that. I’m not ashamed of my brother’s relationship, and I’m not ashamed of you. Please don’t think that. I just need time to figure out a plan, I guess.”

Preferring to get everything out on the table, Spencer said, “We could be really careful, but even then, people may talk, Maizy. We can’t stop them, as much as I’d like to, but neither would we rub their noses in it. And we’d be there for you. Do our best to make it worth it to you. We looked for you for a long time.”

“You did, didn’t you?” Maizy observed.

Just then, his phone rang in his pocket. He caught Maizy’s wide smile when she heard the ringtone. “Black Magic Woman.” Heath probably took that as some sort of sign, too. Spencer sighed and silenced the ringer after checking the caller ID. The call was from a number he didn’t recognize so he sent it to voice mail. Whoever it was could wait until the morning. Right then, Maizy was his highest priority.

Cody drew Maizy’s attention with a fingertip under her chin. “Worst-case scenario, what would happen if you lost your job over our relationship?”

“It would break my heart. But I think if everything worked out between us and I somehow lost you, that would break my heart as well.”

Cody glanced at him and Heath, and Spencer had a bad feeling as Cody said, “You have no idea how hard it is to ask this question, but, angel, do you think it’s for the best if we take you home right now? I think it’s true for all of us that the farther we go the more deeply attached to you we get.”

“No,” she whispered, clasping her hands together and pressing them to her lips. “No, I don’t want that. This is special. I know that much.”

“What if we make it worth the risk? Worth the effort?”

  “I think it would be…but…”

“But you’re afraid of hurting or disappointing us?” Cody countered. “That’s what you’re concerned about?”

Spencer wanted to scoop her up when her eyes misted up and she cleared her throat as she nodded. “I was remembering backpedalling on you this afternoon and I was afraid that if I told you about the difficulties I’ll face, that you would take me home and tell me to forget about it.”

Cody stroked the back of her head and kissed her forehead. “Angel, you need to get to know us better. You’d know we don’t give up that easily.” He looked over at the two of them and said, “We can work this out between the three of us, to make it as easy as possible with her job, right?”

“Hell yeah,” Heath said with an easy nod. “I’m not giving up that easy.”

Spencer also nodded. “Whatever it takes.”

Cody cupped Maizy’s cheeks and looked into her eyes. “We’ll divide up the time we spend with you. It’s not the way I wanted it to be and I have the feeling that you’ll come around to seeing it the same way, but we want you.”

“I feel like I’m on a runaway roller coaster but I want you, too.” She looked over to him and Heath. “I want this.”

“Ready to go home?” Cody asked softly.

She looked back at him and shook her head. “No. Not yet.”

“What are your plans for tomorrow?”

“Laundry and I volunteer at the Memorial Rose Garden on Sunday afternoons twice a month. I need to be there at two.”

Spencer sat forward on the edge of the love seat and lifted her foot in his hand and stroked it. She hissed softly and her eyes took on a soft, faraway quality.

  Sensitive feet. Good to know.

“Can you stay for a few hours? Let us focus on you for a little while since we couldn’t earlier because of work?”

Maizy’s sexy smile said it all as she nodded and then murmured, “I didn’t feel neglected tonight.”

“Yes, but we want your undivided attention while we take care of you,” Heath replied.

Cody checked his watch. “We have time to play and we can have you home before dawn. Will that allow you enough time to rest before you go in to volunteer?”

Maizy nodded as Spencer continued stroking her foot. “I’ll stay. But—”

Cody put his fingers on her lips and kissed her temple. “It’s late and you’re tired, baby. We just want to play a bit. When we m
ake love to you, it’s going to take the whole evening.”

She looked between the three of them. “That’s all right with you? I mean…gosh, I can’t seem to form a rational sentence.”

“It’s fine with us, baby. Let us take care of you.”

“But you should get to have fun as well.”

Heath said, “If by having fun you mean we should get to come too, we appreciate that but our goal is to give you an idea of what being with us would be like without putting a lot of pressure on you. There’s a lot more to us than the need to orgasm, great though that is.”

“I want you to feel good, too.”

Cody caressed her cheek to get her attention and said, “We will. Now, I don’t know if you noticed or not, but I smell like some other woman’s perfume.”

Maizy glanced up at him. “Actually, yes, I did. I figured it’s just a job hazard.”

“That’s a nice way of putting it.”

She looked at her hands as she said, “I’ll have to get used to that, I suppose. I’ll tell you right now, that’s going to be hard. I know it’s crazy but I already feel very…possessive.” She glanced up at them.

Spencer chuckled. “You say that like it’s a bad thing, baby. We feel the same way about you. I wanted to punch some guys tonight for the way they were staring at you while you danced.”

  “You did?”

“Yes. I didn’t like them looking at you like they wanted to eat you.”

She frowned. “I was dancing for you…and for myself.”

  Heath said, “Good.”

“I wanted to have a talk with Presley Ann Woodworth and her artificially inflated boobs for rubbing on you.”

Cody chuckled and rose from the couch. “Why don’t you help me get that perfume off and make me smell like you instead?”

Spencer chuckled when her jaw dropped and he asked, “Ever had a shower with three men?”

They led her back to the master bathroom, which was thankfully tidy. Heath stood in front of her and untied the little jacket that she wore over her camisole and slid it from her shoulders as she looked from one to the other of them. He kissed her shoulder and said, “Sorry we don’t have scented candles to light in here yet. I’d like to be able to set the mood for you.”

She lifted her arms as Spencer raised the hem on the silky red camisole from behind her and she said, “That’d be nice but just so you know, you’ve already set the mood for me. I was once engaged to someone who would do that—”

  “Do what?”

“The scented candles, soft mood music, wine, and all the other nice romantic elements but it’s rather disappointing to build a girl up like that and then be done in ten minutes tops, beginning to end.”

Spencer saw the look on Cody’s face and when their eyes met in the mirror, he knew they were on the same page. Cody said, “I can’t wait to show you how we do things, baby. The past is going to seem like a really lame memory…soon.” He ended his sentence with a growl as Heath went about unzipping her jeans and removing them like a man on a mission.

Her breasts bobbed and jiggled in her sexy red lace bra as she stepped from the jeans and Spencer groaned as he slid his hands over her firm waist and abdomen. That tanned terrain was the stuff of fantasies.

Steam rose from the shower, fogging the mirror as the three of them surrounded her. She reached behind her and unclasped the bra and let Heath slide the straps from her shoulders and lay the garment with her other clothing.

Even his fantasies didn’t do Maizy justice. Her breasts, her waist, her hips…she was a goddess.

She hissed softly as Cody stroked downward from her throat to between her glorious breasts and he whispered, “You don’t know how much…”

Heath caught Spencer’s gaze and grinned. Cody Welsh rendered speechless was a rare beast.

Maizy hooked the red lace waistband of her thong and slid it down her thighs until it dropped to the floor, revealing the neat thatch of black curls at the apex of her thighs.

She shuddered and her eyelids slid closed as she breathed deep. Spencer slid his fingertips up her arms and did his best to ignore the shaft growing increasingly harder at his groin. He’d spent a lot of years being led around by his libido but he was determined to be different with Maizy.

He tugged the black shirt over his head, toed his boots off, and removed the leathers and knit boxers while Heath and Cody did the same. Her pulse jumped at the base of her throat and her breathing sped up as she watched. Her eyes flared as she took in the sight of each of them completely naked. She looked back at Spencer and lowered her gaze, seeming suddenly shy.

Spencer leaned forward and whispered, “You looked fine in that outfit, baby, but I like you even better out of it. We can talk more, later.”

He stepped into the tiled enclosure and held out his hand.

  Chapter Ten

Inside the shower, Maizy felt surrounded by them. Encapsulated. Secure. Why that thought made her heart pound instead of calming it confused her. The warm water raining down on the men released their unique scents into the steamy air, combining them, intoxicating her. Her body responded, her nipples hardening and her pussy pooling with liquid heat. They looked down at her, all three of them, motionless as though they were waiting for her signal. Her breasts felt heavy as they rose and fell with her breathing.

In a soft voice, Cody said, “Can I get your hair wet?”

Maizy nodded. “Yes, but you’ll regret it.”

Cody took the shower massager from its bracket on the wall and set the sprayer on a soft, steady spray. As he held it to her head and smoothed her hair down and soaked it he said, “Why do you say that?”

“When it dries, it’ll go wild. I have to work with it to settle it down. But I don’t mind it if you don’t.”

Cody smiled at her as he squeezed the water through it. “I think I’d like to see it wild.”

“So would I,” Heath said as he took down the shampoo and squeezed a generous amount into his hand. The herbal scent combined with theirs and she took in a deep breath, noting the way her throat and the muscles in her chest trembled with nerves…or excitement, she wasn’t sure which.

When Cody finished soaking her hair, Heath shifted behind her and kissed her temple, his scruffy chin tickling her and making her gasp as it sent a sweet shiver down her spine and her legs. His hands were gentle as he smoothed the shampoo onto her hair and accepted a bit more of it from Spencer to work into her abundant locks.

“It’s much longer when it’s wet,” he murmured as he worked the shampoo into a lather.

“When it’s dry, all the pesky curls make it seem shorter,” she replied.

“Pesky?” Cody asked as he stroked a wavy lock that had sprung back into a curl between his fingers. “I think your hair is pretty. When you move your head, all the shiny curls swing around. It suits you.”

  Heath echoed Cody. “Pretty.”

He slid his fingers through the curling strands and massaged her scalp. The sensation was decadent and a moan slipped from her.

She was used to rushing through her shower, treating it as a utilitarian function. Necessary. She’d never lingered much over shampooing her hair, especially because there was so much of it. She liked having long hair but it was a hassle sometimes. The humidity made it nearly untamable and it was so thick that she had to be careful about rinsing it well.

She smiled. Heath had used probably three times the amount of shampoo she would’ve used but he seemed to be enjoying himself, judging by the deep even sound of his breathing accompanied by the occasional pleasurable rumble coming from his chest.

“It’s like silk between my fingers,” he murmured as he kissed her temple again.

She looked up at Cody, wondering how he felt about observing them like this. His gaze was warm and the look in his dark brown bedroom eyes sent a wave of languor through her. A slight smile quirked his lips and the way the old scar ran through the arch of his dark eyebrow gave him a piratical air. Warmth agains
t her palm drew her attention and she realized she’d laid her hand on his biceps. He smiled a little more.

She blinked and turned her gaze to Spencer and wished she could hear his thoughts. His expression was always guarded and kept her guessing. His golden gaze felt like a physical touch as he slid it up her body and she gasped when she saw the heat in his eyes. So serious. And so hot.

Heath contributed to the tension growing inside her as he gathered her hair into a thick rope and squeezed and twisted it, drawing on her hair follicles in a way she found utterly delicious.

A click got her attention and she realized she’d closed her eyes while reveling in all the sensations. She looked up at Cody and saw the bottle of body wash he held. He poured out a generous amount into his palm and then rubbed his hands together, coating them.

He smoothed the soap over her shoulders and collarbone, around the shoulder joints and down her arms. Then he slid his hands back up and stroked the pads of his thumbs along her throat. Her pulse jumped when he slid his hands downward, and the last second before his hands covered the mounds of her breasts, he turned his hands so that the tops of his hands and his knuckles skimmed over her sensitive skin, grazing her nipples.

Lust flared hotly inside her and she wanted to ask for more but didn’t. Her body felt like a spring being wound tight as the muscles in the backs of her thighs tensed and her cunt swelled. The arousal made her a little dizzy and she tightened her grip on Cody as she leaned against Heath. Sliding her hand down Spencer’s chest to his abdomen, she was intent on doing something for at least one of them but he caught her hand and kissed it, then held it against his chest.

Her heart thumped as she looked into his molten gold eyes and he responded with a slight smile, reaching out to stroke a knuckle up her throat to under her chin. The caress made her gulp and the need to touch and be touched all over by them nearly overwhelmed her. Her pussy rippled deep inside with longing.

She looked up at Heath and he gave her his trademark devilish smile. “Relax, baby. Let us enjoy you.” His hands released her hair long enough to cup and squeeze her shoulders. “You’re all tight and tense.”
