A Fighter's Desire

  “How did you get in?”

“Ryley called Ashleigh and she got a key for your room. I didn’t want to leave until I knew you got back safely.”

The bed looked extremely comfortable as I stood there staring at it. “Did you sleep at all? You have a fight tonight, Tyler. You need to get your rest.”

Taking my hand, he led me over to the bed and slowly removed my clothes. “Oh, I know I do, and that’s why I’m going to sleep here with you.”

With a lazy smirk on his face, he unbuttoned his jeans and let them fall to the floor. As he stepped out of them, he took off his shirt and threw it down before lifting me up in his arms and setting me on the bed.

“As much as I want to take you right here and now, I know we both need our rest for the night. Besides, you look like you’re about to pass out.”

Yawning, I cuddled up in the covers while he held me close; his arm across my stomach and his body to my back. “I am, but I have so much to tell you,” I murmured softly. The warmth of his body spread through every inch of my body and I sighed, drifting quickly into the dream world.

“You can tell me all about it when you wake up. I’ll be right here.”

And boy, was he going to like what I had to say.

ABOUT SEVEN HOURS later, I awoke to Tyler’s hard cock digging into my ass. By the sound of his deep breathing, he had to be asleep, so I rubbed up against him to see if it would rile him up.

“You are one evil woman,” he grumbled heatedly. “I was wondering how long it would take you to wake up with my dick pressing into you.”

  “So you’ve been awake?”

“Yeah, for the past hour or so. I wanted to give you as much time as I could before we needed to leave for the arena.”

“How much time do we have?” I asked, reaching behind me to massage his cock.

He groaned and rocked his hips. “Not enough time for that, baby. I wanted you well rested for tonight. Why don’t you go take your shower and get dressed? I’ll run home and get everything I need, since I wasn’t planning on staying here as long as I have.”

“Fine,” I huffed halfheartedly. “I’ll see you in a little bit. Hurry back, though, because I really do have some good news for you.”

Tilting my chin his way, he kissed me gently, but then opened my mouth further with his tongue, tasting me. “I’ll be back as fast as I can, and when I do I want you dressed and ready to go. Make sure you wear a skirt … I want to taste more than just your lips when I get back.”

I was already wet just thinking about it. Smiling, I handed him one of the room keys that was on the dresser. “Then go. I’ll be ready when you get here.”

Hopefully he hurried because my body ached just thinking about it.

While Tyler was gone, I took a shower and got ready. Finally, I called Ashleigh and Ryley to let them know I was okay. Apparently, Tyler had already contacted Ryley and told him I had made it back. In turn, Ryley had called Ashleigh to let her know. My friends were safely back in California while I was spending one more night in Sin City.

Only one more night and it would all be over.

It had only been forty-five minutes when the door to my hotel room opened and Tyler entered, dressed in a pair of jeans and a white, short-sleeved polo shirt with his blond hair in messy spikes.

As he shut the door, I watched his tanned, tattooed arms flex with the movement and instantly grew wet between my legs. There was something about a man’s arms that turned me on, especially the thought of them being wrapped around my body.

When he noticed me staring, he bit his lip and raked his gaze down my body. I did as he’d said and put on a denim skirt with a sleeveless green top and wedge sandals. He seemed to like it, and even more so when he lifted me underneath my thighs and spread my legs around his waist.

“We don’t have much time, but there’s no way in hell I can go to this fight without tasting you. I only got a small sample of you last night and I need more.”

His hands trailed down the backs of my thighs, and when he felt my thongs, he pushed them to the side and thumbed my clit. “Mmm … it looks like someone’s ready for me.”

After he set me down on the bed, I spread my legs wide so that he could see just how wet I was for him. “What exactly are you going to do with me?” I asked, looking over at the clock. “We don’t have much time.”

Winking at me, he climbed on to the bed and separated my legs a little wider. “No, but we have enough.”

Slowly, he entered me with one of his long, lithe fingers and pushed all the way in while he rubbed my clit with his thumb. I moaned and arched my back, crying out when he inserted another finger, spreading me wider. Already I was getting close.

“You’re building up fast, baby,” he teased. “I can feel you tightening around me.”

I closed my eyes and nodded. “I’m so close.”

His deep chuckle vibrated through my body, and even more so when he slid off the bed and settled himself between my legs. He breathed me in, and as his warm breath blew across my clit, I tightened even more, especially when his wet tongue plunged deep inside of me.

“Tyler,” I groaned. “Oh my God, that feels so good.”

Over and over, he licked and sucked me until I couldn’t take anymore. The deeper his tongue went, the harder and faster my release started to unfold. Tyler knew I was close, and before I could let go, he held on to my thighs and buried himself against me, watching me with those heated gray eyes of his as I gave in to my pleasure.

“Tyler,” I cried, rocking my hips with my release.

Breathing hard, I laid there as he licked me one last time, tasting my desire. While I shivered from the aftershocks, Tyler chuckled and helped me sit up. “Now how did that feel?”

Closing my eyes, I put my hand over my heart; it was beating out of control. “It felt so freaking amazing.”

His cock was straining underneath his jeans, but before I could touch him he grabbed my hands and helped me off of the bed. “Oh, don’t worry about me, sweetheart. As soon as I get done kicking Paxton Emerson’s ass I’m going to take you back to my house and fuck all night long.”

And again my heart started beating faster. If he didn’t stop, I wasn’t going to make it the rest of the night. My underwear was drenched, and the orgasm he’d just given me hadn’t begun to touch the level of need I had for him. Never in my life had I wanted to be with someone so badly that I couldn’t think of anything else.

Tyler was the kind of man you dreamt and fantasized about; the type of man most women never found. The only problem with him was that he couldn’t be kept. I planned on savoring the last night with him and making it last for as long as I could. Because after tomorrow, I’d never have him again … ever. After we both cleaned up it was time to go.

“What time does your flight leave tomorrow?” he asked.

  “At eleven, why?”

Taking my hand, he pulled me out of the bedroom, toward the door. “I just want to make sure I get you there in time. I can bring you here in the morning to get your stuff. Right now we need to go so you can tell me the good news.”

We started for the elevators, and as soon as we got inside, I wrapped my arms around his neck and smiled up at him. Even though it was kind of sad that my brother wouldn’t be fighting anymore, I knew it would be exciting for Tyler.

Tyler snaked his arms around my waist and lifted me up, kissing me gently on the lips. “Tell me what you know, Gabriella.”

Smirking, I said, “What would you say if by the end of the season you could be the new Heavyweight champion?”

Furrowing his brows, he set me down and pursed his lips. “I’d say that would be fucking awesome, but to do that I’d have to beat your brother. We both know he’s better than me.”

“Yeah, well, he’s kind of better than everyone. He called me this morning and told me he’s retiring.” Tyler’s eyes went wide in disbelief, making me chuckle; he’d wanted the title for so long. Holding his face in my han
ds, I nodded and laughed again when all he did was stare at me in shock. “That means, my dear friend, you will be competing for the title. This is your chance.”

The elevator had stopped, and of course, I was too wrapped up in telling Tyler the good news to even care who stepped on. Unfortunately, I should’ve cared because it was Kyle’s obnoxious voice that spoke out behind us.

“Well, well, I never thought I’d see the day when ole Reynolds gave up the spotlight. It’s a shame really because I would’ve rather kicked his ass and won the title back instead of it getting handed to me.”

I couldn’t see him over Tyler’s shoulder, but when Tyler stepped out of the way, I noticed Jaden stood right beside Kyle with a bitchy smirk on her face. Do these people never learn? Not to mention my experience in elevators had completely sucked ass since I arrived in Las Vegas. Next time I’ll take the stairs.

“It’s not getting handed to you,” I snapped, glaring at both of them. “And just so you know, the Reynolds name isn’t going to be out of the spotlight.”

Jaden snarled, but a mischievous smile spread across Kyle’s face. “Ah, so the baby sister is going to try her hand at the real deal, huh?”

“That’s right,” I hissed, “and my brother’s going to coach me.” I glanced over at Jaden and grinned. “It looks like you’ll be seeing me again soon.”

Thankfully, the elevator doors opened before the tension got out of control. Jaden narrowed her gaze and growled before storming off, but of course Kyle had to have the last words. Licking his lips, he raked his eyes down my body and stepped closer. Tyler blocked his approach, but it didn’t stop Kyle from looking over Tyler’s shoulder at me.

“When you get tired of this one, you know where to find me,” he mentioned slyly. “A woman like you needs a man who can keep up with her.”

“No thanks,” I spat. “I’ll pass.”

Winking, he shrugged and started off the elevator. “Suit yourself. You’ll come begging to me soon enough.” He then turned to Tyler. “Good luck in the ring tonight.”

By the time we got off the elevator, Tyler was so angry his hands were shaking. “So help me, I can’t wait to get that fucker into the ring.”

“I know what you mean. I’m sure Jaden is feeling the same way about me. Maybe next time I’ll just break her arm and be done with it.”

In the parking lot, Tyler led me over to his metallic blue Ford Raptor and helped me in. Before shutting the door, he stared at me, his gaze curious. “Are you really going to start fighting, or did you just say all of that to get a rise out of them?”

“Why? Do you not think I’d be a good fighter?”

“No, it’s not that. I think you’d be fucking amazing, not to mention hot as hell in the ring.”

“Then what is it?” I asked.

Nonchalantly, he shrugged and put his hand on my thigh. “I don’t know … I guess it’s because people can change in this sport. You’re perfect the way you are and I’d hate to see you turn into something that you’re not.”

“Like you,” I countered. “Being a little hypocritical aren’t we? I seem to remember you being a lot different, too.”

“Yeah, but we’re not talking about me. I don’t give a fuck about things because I honestly don’t care, but with you … I do. I don’t want to see you get dragged down the wrong path.”

He said he didn’t give a fuck, but I could see in his eyes that he did. He’s not completely lost. One day he’d find his way just like my brother had and he’d change back into the Tyler I once knew. Luckily, my brother would keep me on the right path no matter what happens.

“Tyler, you don’t have to worry about me. Nothing is set in stone yet. Right now you need to concentrate on your fight and know that one day you’ll be the new Heavyweight champion. Focus on that.”

Sighing, he grinned halfheartedly and shut the door. Whatever I decided to do in life, I knew I wasn’t going to change. I knew who I was and where I came from … I would stay true to that.

  “TYLER! TYLER! TYLER!”

The crowd cheered for him as he made his way down to the ring. Everyone loved him, especially the women, who reached out to touch him. Tyler loved it, too; I could see it in the smirk on his face. There was no telling how many hearts he’d broken over the past year, but I was pretty sure it was a lot.

“Uh-oh,” Ryley chimed, nudging me in the side. “I’ve seen that look before, baby girl.”

I rolled my eyes and nudged him back. “Tyler and I have known each other for a while now, Ryley. It’s kind of hard to consider him just a fuck buddy. Don’t worry, though, I know where we stand in all of this.”

“Okay, just making sure. I’m almost positive we’re booked on the same flight back, so if you need to cry on my shoulder tomorrow morning, you can.” He winked and put his arm around my shoulders. “I promise I won’t tell anyone.”

Lifting up on my toes, I chuckled and kissed him on the cheek. “I love you, Ryley. I honestly don’t know what I would do without you.”

Ryley squeezed me tight, pulling me in closer, and kissed the top of my head. “Same to you, baby girl.”

“Congratulations on your win tonight. You did amazing! If you and your brother keep winning, you’ll be fighting each other for the title.”

  Ding … ding … ding.

  The fight was on.

Ryley kept his gaze on Tyler and Paxton in the ring, circling each other before the attack. “That’s what I’m not looking forward to, Gabby. If we have to fight each other, I know that whoever wins, the other will get angry. We already have enough tension between us as it is.”

Ryley didn’t have to say it, but I knew it was Camden’s jealousy he was referring to. Ryley was easier going when it came to his brother, but Camden had a severe jealous streak, an anger inside of him that I could sense every time he was near.

I knew where it all stemmed from, but I had hoped that over time, the death of his father would weigh less on him. I could only hope that maybe with more time he would let the pain go.

I knew Ryley was worried about his brother, even if he didn’t admit to it.

“He’ll come around, Ryley. It may take a few years, but one day he’ll realize that being angry all of the time isn’t a way to live.”

When all Ryley did was shrug, I knew the conversation about his brother was over. It hurt for him to think about that past, so I didn’t want to push it. Instead, I focused on Tyler and his fight.

Paxton Emerson was a little taller than Tyler—by maybe two inches—with full sleeve tattoos on both arms. Tyler had tattoos as well, but they only went across his back and shoulders, and slightly down his arms. Paxton, however, was covered in them.

Everyone called him Pax, especially his best friend who happened to be Kyle Andrews. I’d always thought Paxton was cute with his sea green eyes, dark hair, and amazingly tanned body, but when I found out he was friends with Kyle it immediately changed my whole perception of him. When he saw me in the crowd, his lips tilted up in a small smile and he winked. In return, I flipped him off, making him laugh.

Ryley leaned over and whispered in my ear, “Is there something you need to tell me? What’s going on with you and Pax?”

“Ugh … nothing worth talking about.”

Tyler noticed the interaction between me and Pax, too. Growling, he swung his fists faster and harder than I’d ever seen. Paxton went down like a giant tree and Tyler pounced, taking his fight to the floor and putting Paxton into a rear naked choke hold. What that hold does is stops the blood flow to the brain, which causes the person to pass out. With Paxton already being semi-knocked out, it didn’t take long for him to drift off.

  Ding … ding … ding.

  The fight was over.

Tyler arrogantly strutted around the ring as Paxton got slowly to his feet. Tyler hissed something at him, and Paxton’s gaze immediately found mine. Oh hell, what did he say?

Gritting his teeth, Paxton glared at Tyler and looked at me one more time
before going to his corner, keeping his head held high. It was a shame he chose to side with Kyle. When I met him at Ryley’s party a month ago he was actually nice, but it was probably just one of Kyle’s schemes to get close to me. Either way, it didn’t matter. I had to stay away from anyone that was associated with that cocksucker, Kyle.

“All right, Gabby, I’m heading out,” Ryley said excitedly. “There’s a party tonight and I don’t want to be late. I didn’t exactly get to celebrate last night, so I need to make up for lost time.”

“And I feel terrible about that. I should’ve called you to let you know I was okay.” After I ran away, I didn’t even think that he would be as worried as he had been. “So go and have fun! I’ll see you in the morning.”

“You too, Gabby.” He smiled at me and winked, waltzing off and flirting with a couple of the ring girls before disappearing into the crowd.

“And the winner by TKO is … TYLER ‘THE TERROR’ RUUSSHHHIIINNNNGG!”

Clapping my hands, I screamed and whistled for Tyler when his arm was lifted in victory. He looked down at me and smiled before hopping out of the ring and coming to my side, his body glistening in sweat. “It’s time to go, sweetheart. I hope you’re ready for this.”

  Oh, I was.

“Hey, Ty, we on for the night?” his agent asked, joining us. I’d met him before at one of the other fights; his name was Todd Winfield. He was older, probably in his early thirties, dressed in a black MMA Pride T-shirt and jeans, his black hair gelled in messy spikes.

Tyler shook his head. “Not tonight, man. I made other plans.”

Lifting his brows, Todd quickly glanced in my direction then back to Tyler. “Um … okay, but it’s your funeral. I hope you know what you’re getting in to.”

I scoffed, but Tyler pinched me discreetly in the side and shook his head for me to be quiet. “It’s not like that,” Tyler promised. “I seriously do have other plans. Next weekend I’m all yours though.”

Todd breathed a sigh of relief. “Thank God. The last thing you need is to go head to head with her brother.”
