  So I listen every night

  As you softly breath

  Your body slowly lifting

Like the waves upon the sea

And from the wells of my longing

I try to draw you near

To the depths of my thirst

  Your waters deep and clear

And I want to be that sun

And I want to be that rain

But how to get that close

To your beauty, and your pain?

  The Revelation (A Broken Man)

Nothing and no one knows my name

And nobody else feels the same

The time of revelation is near at hand

What you see before you is a broken man

A life of cruel iniquities, a life of sin

Didn't know where to finish, or begin

A foolish waste, a bitter clown

There was no way to go but down

I am a man who never reckoned on fate

A broken mirror, a wiped clean slate

Bring me a bottle or an angel's gown

  I am a man who's broken down

This sister sorrow I daily weep

My wasted crop I daily reap

There is no sorrow goes this deep

Were it not for such things than I could sleep

Oh, bitter pill that I must take

Through hopeless fortune, the great mistake

There is no water can wash me clean

There is no saviour that I have seen

Oh, take me down, down below

By the rushing waters, by the watchfire's glow

A bitter pill, an empty hand

One can't hide forever in this desert land

Take up my burden, take up my sin

Till at last I'm safely cradled in

Then bury my body where the crosses lay

Or leave me broken in a prisoner's grave

Nothing and no one knows my name

And nobody else feels the same

The time of revelation is near at hand

What you see before you is a broken man

  Came Ages Within Ages

  Came ages within ages

When the serpant lays down with the bird

When the morning and the night

Find rest together on the horizon

  And occupy a middle ground

  Between dirt and sky

Here is where the man lays down with the woman

And the woman lays down with the man

Where children gain the wisdom of elders

And elders become as little children

Here is where the cool waters flow

And where feathers hold the air longest

And where like fish in a net

  The moonlight glistens

Now, no more hoplessness to reign

Where mad Kings have their way

  Now clouds are just clouds

  And rain is just rain

  And music is a sound

  Alive on every tongue

Now the lion and the gazelle

Have lain down in mutual repose

As we feast together on yesterday's ghost

And as we wait for Him to come to us

  Shining through the door

  The End
