  Introduction

Poetry, one word that sums up all our thoughts, experiences, feelings and emotions, something that has made my life vivid and painted with words and colors I never knew existed.

That is what poetry means to me. It is an important part of my life that weaves threads of colors and creates words that will be etched in someone’s memories other than mine. Poetry somehow, sums up my life in one word and I wanted it to share to the world. And this is one of the wonderful ways for someone to get a glimpse on my life.

Blue Raindrops is a collection of poetry I have written through the years. Every part of it has been a part of my life, every single word an event that made me who I am. This book is my thoughts, my feelings, my recollection and my life.

Every life is truly like a book and here is one to share to you. As you flip through the pages and read through it all think of me and you will know that I have willingly shared everything with you. If you read this book a thousand thanks to you, but if not my best wishes are still with you.

Though there is no reassurance that this will answer all the questions you might ask me if we knew each other personally I still hope that you will get a glimpse of who I am as a person and that this little book of poetry will be something that you will cherish in your memories as a reader and an appreciator of poetry.

  Raindrops

Sitting on a room that is more silent than usual

I stare out the window waiting for you

You said the rain falls to wash away the tears

But it doesn’t take away the pain

  The clock strikes midnight

  And I am still alone

Praying, hoping, waiting for you to come

But I can’t see you anywhere

I danced with the raindrops while trying to find love

But all I could see was lightning

  Shouting your name out

But all I could hear was thunder in the air

Your leaving footsteps still echoes in my ears

I see your back turned away from me

I ran after you but you were gone

I’m alone waiting with the rain

I danced with the raindrops while trying to find love

But all I could see was lightning

  Shouting your name out

But all I could hear was thunder in the air

I can’t understand why loving has to hurt

You promised me that you’d never do

  But you broke the rules

Now I don’t know what to do

I danced with the raindrops while trying to find love

But all I could see was lightning

  Shouting your name out

But all I could hear was thunder in the air

Until now, all I can hear is raindrops

Sad, bitter raindrops and the thunder in the air…

  Broken Song

I watched you grow, I watched you glow,

      suddenly I watched you go.

It's like a story about the dawn,

     colorful paintings gently sewn.

  But after quite a while

it all disappears from our eyes.

Small drops of rain fell from the sky,

I watched you from the sidelines by and by.

You were out there at the game,

while you left me out on the side lane.

You had me singing out a

      Beautiful Song.

  A harmony and melody

     going along,

  I had always sung it

     with you,

  But you changed the words

and sung it with someone new.

  I'm left alone trying to

    figure out what to do.

So I placed a worn out guitar

     on my hand,

  Tried playing a song

as I sat on the sand.

  I watched the ocean waves

     roll by,

  I watched the flying birds

     up high.

  I watched the sunrise

     till it was noon,

  I watched the sunset

     replaced by the moon.

I watched you grow, I watched you glow,

      suddenly I watched you go....

  I'm playing a song now

      out of tune,

  I'm singing a song by a

     sad pale moon.

  I've watched you wreck

     its harmony,

  I've watched you changed

     its melody.

  But the worst part was...

You had me singing out a

      Beautiful Song,

  A harmony and melody

     going along.

  I had always sung it

     with only you,

  But you changed the words

and sung it with someone new.

  I'm left alone trying to

    figure out what to do.

  Oh, you sung it with

    someone new...

  I Need a Time Machine

I sit outside our home and wait for your return,

I’ve done this a thousand times

But I dread the night when you won’t come home,

When I won’t see you walk in our room.

Its midnight and it will soon be morning,

I’m awake in the room which feels more alone than usual

Why aren’t you here? Where have you gone?

Please tell me it’s not yet over.

There’s a knock on the door and I rush to open it,

I’m so glad that you are back.

But you’re not the one who knocked.

It wasn’t you and never will be you.

I couldn’t listen to the words they said,

It is a knife ripping at my heart.

I can’t believe you are gone, I can’t believe you left

And that there’s no way you could ever return.

One mistake, a regret that we all make,

A simple thing that ends everything.

I know nothing in this world will ever be perfect

But that won’t heal the pain in my heart.

I need a time machine to go back in time,

To rewrite everything and see you again

I can’t wish for anything more than to hold your hand

Before my memories of you starts to disappear.

Time is slowing down making me feel more alone

Everything is fading, the colors turning black.

I cannot hold life in my hand, and the warmth will soon be cold

Soon everything will be gone and tears will be left in my hands.

I need a time machine, to keep my heart from hurting

I need a time machine to keep your life from slipping.

How many tears do I have to cry?

How many lives does the world need to die?

The last words you said are still echoing,

I hold your picture in my hand

And someone out there is doing the same.

My tears are falling and I know I am not alone.

  I need a time machine to g
o back in time

To where you will walk in the room and see you asleep beside me.

I need to see you again before my memories of you are gone

And all that’s left will be photographs buried in the sand.

Where can I find a time machine so I could go back in time?

So I won’t be standing out here in the rain,

Holding a rose in my hand

As they bury your life in the cold land.

  When I Cry

When I cry silently at night

Because of all the wounds in my heart

I wonder if there's still a reason to live

  When everything feels so bleak.

I hide my heart from anyone

  I'm afraid to show it

Unless all the scars will disappear

and all the wounds will heal.

Now I'm older, everyone says their happy for me,

Happy to see I'm grown up

  When the truth is

  They don't even care.

They never notice the scars in my life

  The battered life I'm having

  The sadness I'm succumbed in

They never see my tears when I cry.

  Nights come and go

I'm feeling like I wanna go

  Leave this place

  Find some quietness.

But wondering if I end it all

  Would that be alright?

  Would that change everything

  And make things clean?

  Everyday I keep on

  Trying to survive

  Trying to live

Even if sometimes I just wanna leave.

  But then I know

  Someone sees me,

  Someone still cares for me

There's still someone who can hear me.

  Every time I cry...

  I drop to my knees

  I fold my hand

  Let the tears flow.

  I know HE hears me

  I know HE sees me

  I know HE loves me

  He's there when I cry...

I feel HIS Hands on my shoulder

  I feel HIM Carry me

I feel HIS Care, HIS Grace, HIS never ending Love

And know with Jesus I'm safe...

  No need to be afraid

Cause GOD is now in my life...

no need for the tears to hide when I cry

God will wipe them all away

and bid my wound and scars away.

  Win the Game

When you feel like you're giving up

Don't lose hope, just move on up

  Because life's road
