“No problem, Dessy,” Snoop answered. “Anything for you.”

I turned around to glare at the prospect. Fuck, he was smitten.

“Fuck off,” I barked at him. “She's mine.”

A smaller hand filled my bigger one and I turned to see Dessy smiling and leading me away.

“Got the morning shift.” Both of her hands grabbed my wrist while she pulled me away. “Want to show you much my kitty missed you.”

“Holy fuck,” I heard Shiz yell as we went through the doors.

We barely made it home because Dessy wanted to start the foreplay while I was driving. Her hands were all over my dick, rubbing and stroking it so it was more than alive.

We burst through the doors with her hands in my pants.

  “My room,” I whispered.

As soon as we said that, a light switched on.

“Sorry, didn't mean to interrupt,” Carol's voice rang out effectively stopping our laughter and had me turning around.

“The fuck is wrong with you Carol,” I barked.

“I couldn't sleep. Heard all sorts of creaks and shit from this old ass house settling.”

"How old are you?" I barked. "Over fifty and you're scared of a house settling."

  "Bear," Dessy whispered. "Stop."

My head swung back to her and said, "Go to my room and wait for me."

Her brown eyes met mine, then she nodded and obeyed me. I was annoyed as fuck because all I wanted to do was get in my girl and fucking pass out. Carol was acting funny and this didn't bode well with me at all.

"Sorry, brother." She changed her tune. "No sleep makes me cranky."

"Hmm," I grunted. "Well, good night."

"Yeah." She turned back to her e-book with the attached nightlight and murmured, "Night."

I was about to go upstairs and then I asked, "Carol, why did you really come here?"

"You're not buying my lonely bid?" she asked without looking at me. "You always knew me better than the old man. Go and have a good night. We'll talk another time."

"Is it something serious?" I asked. "You in some sort of trouble?"

She laughed. "No, Bear. I'm good. We'll talk more tomorrow, okay?"

  "’kay, sis."

Something was up with her but I'd find out tomorrow because I really couldn't focus at that moment. When I made it to my room, I found a naked Dessy sprawled out on the bed in dreamland.

  Damn.

Once I stripped, I climbed into bed and she automatically wrapped her body around me burying her face in my chest.

  How did I get here?

  Fucking paradise.

When I woke, Dessy was gone but she left a note.

  Hey Bear,

Sorry, honey. I had to open RIGOR this morning.

I made breakfast for you and Carol. It's in the oven. You don't have a coffee maker, so just reheat the water in your microwave. And there is lunch in the refrigerator for the two of you. Just In case you want to have a sibling picnic. :-)

  Have a good day.

  Dessy

  That's my girl.

  Goddamn.

As I was walking down the street in downtown Manor, I heard footsteps behind me.

  "Sup, Bear."

  I knew this was coming.

"Shay," I said with a nod.

"Soo, you and Dessy are an item, huh?" She kept with my walking pace.

"That's the word on the street?"

  "Don't fuck with me, Bear."

She moved to get in front of me.

Yup, sassy as all fuck and didn't care one shit about it. Had to love her. Wouldn't want the privilege to tame her, Bronx took that on and succeeded. My hands crossed over my chest.

"Look, I know that's your family but I'm not ..."

Her hands went up in defense. "I'm not here to bust your balls. Just want to let you know, she really likes you and has for a while now. Figured you might want to know that bit of information. She's not had good luck in the love department or much of life but besides my thoughts of you being a class A royal jerk, Dessy's smitten. However, now for once, I'm almost convinced that you might be good for her. She's happy."

I was not expecting that from her.

Wow, Bronx had really been on his game.

  "Obliged," I responded.

"Right, whatever that means. Being married to a biker doesn’t mean I speak biker." She shook her head. "Now, if you play with her heart, fuck around on her or do my cousin wrong, just know you'll answer to me."

She stepped closer to me. "Just wanted us to be clear. I have no problems shooting your ass."

Well, I’d thought too soon, here was the regular Shay. Bronx still had some more work to do.

"Obliged," I said again, nodded and walked away.

  Her ass just threatened me.

I laughed as I kept walking to the compound.

"Who's going to the gym?" I yelled. "The train is leaving now."

"We know you are," someone yelled back.

"Fuck you, bitch." I pounded on the counter. "Need two waters."

"I'm in. Coming. Hold up." Voices rang out.

Razor had been on a health trip about everybody getting in shape, so we instituted the daily gym run and today I was leading. Not to work out with weights but with my girl.

When we showed up, I nabbed Dessy without saying a word, yelled for Jax and told him she was on break and dragged her to the laundry room. I locked the door and turned to press her against the door as her arms wrapped around my neck.

"Got your note." I pecked her lips.

"Oh, good. Did you guys go out and have fun?" she answered.

"No, Carol went out of town for the day to a friend’s house."

"Hmm," she murmured. "Maybe next time."

"Where'd you come from?" My heart was so warm with emotion.

  "Harrisburg, silly." She laughed.

"Yeah." I nodded. "Like a fucking angel, sent from heaven just for me."

"Ohh, Bear." She rose and kissed me on my lips. "We missed you last night and this morning."

"Sweetheart, you can't keep this sort of schedule all the time. Off at two, home by three and starting it again the next morning at seven. That's crazy," I noted.

"Bear, I'm fine. It works for me." Her head reared back.

"Dessy, it's not. You're going to crash, soon." I leveled my eyes on her.

"Bear, I'm good." She kissed me and pulled my mesh shorts down along with my boxers. "This is what I want."

She slid to her knees and wrapped her lips around my raging cock. Her big brown eyes hit mine as she took me in her mouth. Those fucking eyes were saying all sorts of shit to me and all I could do was stare at her as her mouth slid up and down.

"That's right, sweetheart," I murmured. "Fucking beautiful."

Her hands cupped my balls and rolled them back and forth as she started to bounce on her haunches and her head bobbed along with the rhythm. Then her tongue rolled and it was all I could do to not push her against the door and choke her with my dick. So, I gripped the door post and let her bring me home.

"Cumming, sweetheart." I went to pull out, but she grabbed my thighs and I burst right down her throat.

Fuck, she took it all and swallowed. After she licked her lips, she kissed her way up to a standing position, covering my stomach, chest and neck with kisses. All I could do was stare at her.

  "Bear?" she called. "You alright."

"Perfect," I said as I moved her hair out of her face. "Just perfect."

Nabbing her hand, I pulled her towards the bench and said, "Come sit with me, a minute."

  "Okay."

After I sat, I put Dessy on my lap and started kneading her back.

"Got something for you," I said and opened my left hand that had tightly held the gift the entire time she was literally blowing my mind.

"A key?" Her eyebrows furrowed with confusion.

"Yeah, to my house." I looked at her.

"Fuck," she snapped. "I knew there was something I fo
rgot. I had your key made too. It's at the front."

"No worries." My hands rubbed her ass. "The other thing I want is you at my house. Clothes, toothbrush and all that other shit. I want you there, okay?"

Her fingers started to rub my face as she smiled. "Okay, Bear."

  "Okay?" My forehead touched hers.

"Yes, daddy." She smiled that smile that seemed to melt all my worries away.

"Fuck, me." I took her lips in a kiss.

  7 - Voodoo?

  DESSY

My mom called me twice but I hadn't answered the phone because I was at Bear’s house and Carol would always pop up at the most unexpected times. It had been a month and I spent about four of the seven days at Bear’s place. I should have called it Carol’s place because she went out of her way to rearrange everything I did, washed or organized.

One day, I had enough and asked her about it. “Are we cool, Carol? Is there a problem?”

“Fuck, no. I already told your gold digging ass that I was on to you. He's gone for you but not for long. Live it up.”

“What have I ever done to you? You don't know me. Gold digger? I work for everything I have. Always have.”

“Listen, save that shit for Bear. I don't want to hear your lies and bullshit,” she whispered. “His first wife was just like that. Not sure what you're waiting on. He won't marry you, ever, so get that out of your head. You won't touch our shit.”

“What the fuck are you talking about?”

At that point, Bear walked into the living room.

“Carol, you ready? Got to hit the doctors before noon.”

  Good, he hadn't heard.

This bitch was fucking delusional and his loyalty would be to her no matter what.

It was his older sister who always seemed sick if he showed me any sort of attention. Therefore, I often made myself scarce and only came over when it was night or something. She was a cock blocker if I ever met one.

The only person I could tell was Kylie who thought I should say something to Bear. She extended my two weeks after Bear gave me the key, but this shit was getting out of hand.

It all hit the fan when I was at Bears cooking dinner and Carol refused to eat claiming she wasn't hungry. It was my day off so I knew for a fact she hadn't eaten.

“Bear, Carol hasn't had a thing all day.”

“What the fuck,” he growled. “Something might be wrong.”

He went to the bottom of the steps and yelled, “Carol, what the fuck? Dinner is ready.”

This woman came to the top of the stairs and yelled, “I'm not eating anything from the voodoo priestess.”

  What in the fuck?

Bear turned to me and his face frowned. “What?”

  My mouth was wide open.

“Carol, what the fuck are you yammering on about. Are you ill?”

She made her way down the steps, pointed to me and said, “Her. She practices voodoo. That's how she has you under her spell. Jeb told me.”

  “Jeb,” I gasped. “What?”

“I'm not eating a goddamn thing she cooks. He said she sees things and she has powers.” Carol kept accusing me.

“What is she talking about Dessy?” Bear turned and asked me.

Tears panged my eyes because the look on his face was exactly why I never said anything to him in the first place.

“I knew you were a sniveling conniving bitch trying to bamboozle my brother.”

  “Carol,” Bear growled.

“I'm telling you. I knew it was something with her. She's too fucking young and acting all sweet. Something ain't right. Why you?”

At that point, I was absolutely mortified. My hands went up and I said, “You win, Carol.”

“Dessy,” Bear called for me but I kept walking towards the couch to grab my purse. Then Bear bellowed my name again, “Dessy!”

That stopped me in my tracks and he barked, “You walk out that door, we’re going to have problems. Now, are you going to explain?”

Tears were pouring out of my eyes and I could barely see but I would not explain a fucking thing to that bitch.

I turned with my keys in hand, purse over my shoulder, lifted my hands in surrender and said, “I’m throwing in my deck. You’ve won.”

Then I left and no one followed me.

Half of me was tempted to go to my house, but instead I went home to my mom. She would judge me, I knew, but I had to leave Manor and maybe for good. If that bitch was walking around telling people I was a voodoo priestess, then I could never live that shit down. Where the fuck did she get that from? Jeb couldn't have possibly said that about me but then again, who the hell knew.

He had been hanging around the Guardians a lot lately but I’d thought we were cool. We even talked a few times but I kept those conversations short and brief. Bear did not play all of that shit and I never wanted to give him a reason to worry.

"Dessy?" My mom called to me. "I've been calling you."

"I know, Mama. Couldn't really talk at the time."

She was on the couch watching the news like she always was at eleven o'clock at night.

"You running from some boy?" she asked.

My head turned towards her as I plopped on the couch. "He's no boy."

"I reckon not, with the salt and pepper beard."

Fuck, she must have had a dream.

"You looked happy. I'm surprised to see you."

The tears started to come again and this time I didn't bother wiping them.

  "I was."

To my surprise, my mom said, "If you're happy, then sometimes Dessy, you need to fight for that happiness. Not be so quick to give up."

I blinked several times at her words. "I'm not quick to give up, Mama."

"Oh, Dessy, yes you are. That's sort of your M.O. Things get tough and Dessy is gone. It has served you good in some respects, but others, not so much."

My mind went back to some of those times she was talking about and my response. Even recently, when I decided to start looking at apartment and jobs in Mekatown. I’d usually pick flight. Shit, even going to Manor was an escape, though it was probably the best decision I had made. I would have dreams and try to prove them wrong by ignoring them or acting like I didn't know the meaning. I knew, but I was determined to do what I wanted. Now the time, I had a dream, understood the meaning and went after it, at the first sign of trouble, I left. But it was bigger than Bear, that woman was about to ruin my reputation in the entire town.

  A goddamn voodoo priestess?

  I couldn't show my face.

"Sometimes, Dessy. Those times being now, you need to fight for your happiness," my mom repeated.

My head nodded. "You're right Mom, but not tonight."

I yawned and stood to kiss her on the cheek.

"Night, dear," she called. "Also, I want to meet this one."

She'd get no response from me because while I may have fought to stay in Manor, fighting against the wicked sister of the west was another story. Competing against a sibling? Nope. I did not feel like I should set myself up for failure. No matter what the dream was.

The next day my mom and I went out shopping, visiting the Amish country and bought a whole bunch of shit. We didn't talk about Manor, Bear or the situation. Instead we discussed life in general and she commented on how much I’d settled down since I moved.

Overall, it was a good day until she said, "This was great, dear. Now, you got to go back and face the music."

"I know, Mama." My hand clutched the freshly squeezed lemonade. "I know."

  BEAR:

  Dessy left.

Tears rolling down her face and not a smile in sight.

  My smile.

  "Carol, talk," I barked.

"She's no good for you, Bear. I mean, come on. Did you think you would ride off into the sunset with a twenty-year-old bimbo?"

"Fucking watch your mouth," I growled.

"Bear," she sighed. "Come on. Look at the difference. She wants something. Mark my words. Jeb
said she liked to party hard. Even did some of the hard stuff. Said she had a dream that some guy had set him up and was coming to look for them, so they left. The dream turned out to be true and where does that happen, unless she set it up herself or she is into that voodoo shit." She was shaking her head. "I'm telling you. Good riddance. You don't need that in your life. You don't need her."

"Fuck, Carol." My mind was racing. "Did he say voodoo?"

"Well, no, but that shit don't happen except in some paranormal books or those folks that practice voodoo."

"Where the fuck did you get this shit from?" I was yelling. "She doesn't practice voodoo."

"It's been what a few months, now?" She shifted her weight to one side of her hip. "How well do you really know her? She came here because she was involved in some bad shit. She could even be an addict..."

"Enough," I bellowed at her. "You don't know her."

My legs stalked toward the door. "And you're wrong. I do need her."

  All this shit sounded crazy.

After riding around her house and seeing it was dark with no cars in the driveway, I kept going looking to find Jeb or better yet, Shay. I stopped by Peppers but no one was there. Then I remembered, Jeb had been hanging around the compound, so when I rolled up and yelled his name, folks thought there would be a fight.

"Bear, everything alright?" Razor came out of his office.

  "No, I need Jeb."

"He's talking to Bronx in his office." I started moving towards it but Razor stood in front of me. "What's the problem, brother?"

"Need to talk to Jeb?" I said again.

"This have to do with Dessy?" Razor asked.

I'd always shown Razor respect even when I disagreed but at that moment, I couldn’t have cared a rat's ass about protocol. As soon as I was about to tell him that, Bronx came out with Jeb in tow.

I pointed to him and said, "Need to speak with you."

"Problem, Bear?" Bronx crossed his arms over his chest.

"Yup, I need to speak to him," I repeated.

"Something we can help with, brother?" Razor asked.

  "Nope," I replied.

"It's fine," Jeb spoke up. "Where you want to talk?"

  "Don't give a fuck."

I walked into Bronx's office, effectively pushing Jeb back inside. Razor and Bronx followed probably trying to make sure I didn't kill the kid.
