The Sinner: A High School Bully Romance (Haven Grace Prep Book 1)

I watch as he rips the foil packet open with his teeth and rolls it over his hard cock. Once he’s done, he moves closer and lines himself up at my entrance. He inches in just slightly, making me wince at the pain of being stretched open. When he reaches the small bit of resistance, he stops and looks at me.
“Last chance to change your mind.”
I shake my head. “Do it.”
Coming down to kiss me, he covers my body with his own and thrusts in—breaking through and claiming me entirely. He starts off slow, pulling out and pushing back in until I assure him that I’m all right. Then he quickens his pace.
“Shit, your pussy is so fucking tight.” He hisses, pulling up to get better leverage.
The only thing leaving my mouth is a mix of his name and obscenities. He starts going faster, harder, chasing his high and bringing me with him. The pitch of my voice raises, and he grits his teeth as he presses his thumb to my clit.
“Grayson!” I shout as I feel myself on the brink of another mind-blowing orgasm.
“Not my name, baby. Not tonight.”
I throw my head back against the pillow while my hips arch up instinctively, needing just a little more pressure. And like I knew he would, he gives it to me.
“Fuck, Gray!” I scream as I clench around him.
With one last hard thrust, he roars and pulses inside of me—shooting his load into the condom. Just like that, my virginity is gone. Taken by the one person I always imagined giving it to, but under completely different circumstances. All I can do now is hope I don’t live to regret it.

Grayson
After what was hands down the best sex of my life, I ease myself out of her and pull the condom off, tying the end and tossing it into the garbage can before collapsing down onto the bed. The only sound in the room is our labored breathing, but it’s not at all awkward. Savannah giggles happily, smiling from ear to ear.
“Holy shit, that was incredible,” she whispers.
I smirk and turn to look at her, taking in how good she looks all sexed out. “Pissed you waited so long now?”
It only takes a second of thinking about it before she shakes her head. “No. If I hadn’t, it wouldn’t have been you.” She rolls over to face me. “And you said you didn’t know how to go easy.”
It’s true, I did, and when I said it, I meant it. But hovering over her and seeing how vulnerable she was while still trusting me not to hurt her, it’s like something in me knew—she’s the exception. She’s everything I shouldn’t want, and everything I can’t resist.
As I let my eyes rake over her body once more, I notice a healing bruise over her ribcage. “What happened?”
Her attention focuses on what I’m looking at, and she hesitates just long enough to make me suspicious. “Oh, that. Dance injury. It happens.”
Every part of me says she’s lying—but why would she lie about a bruise? Where else could it have come from? No, stop. It’s not my problem. I push it to the back of my mind and focus on the here and now. Slipping my arm underneath her body, I pull her closer so her head rests on my chest. I’m already going to hell for this; I may as well enjoy it. She relaxes into me and sighs in relief.
“Will you stay?”
I hum, pressing a kiss to the top of her head but not answering the question. “Go to sleep, Sav.”
She doesn’t say anything else as her hand rubs small circles over my stomach. It isn’t until she stops and her breathing steadies that I’m sure she’s no longer awake. I allow myself a few more minutes with her, not wanting to get up just yet. I know once I do, my mind is going to torture me for what I just did.
THE NEXT MORNING, I wake in my own bed, with the taste of Savannah still lingering on my tongue. Last night plays in my mind like a movie reel. The way she moved, the sounds she made, how it felt to finally be inside her, I know one thing for sure—I’m utterly screwed. Now that I know what it’s like to have her, divine intervention couldn’t grant me enough self-control to resist doing it again.
Swiping my phone from the nightstand, I call the only other person who knows about my true intentions here.
“You slept with her, didn’t you?” Tyson asks as soon as he answers the phone.
“How did you know?”
“Because you’re calling me at 10 a.m. on a Saturday. You never call anyone unless it’s important.” He pauses for a moment and then snickers. “So, how was it?”
I throw my arm over my eyes. “Fucking mind blowing.”
“Damn, who would have thought a virgin would be so good? Let me have a pass at her, will you?”
He’s kidding, I know that, but it doesn’t stop me from growling possessively. “You’re not helping, asshole.”
He laughs like this shit is the funniest thing in the world to him. “Okay, okay. In all seriousness, though—I don’t know why you’re making such a big deal out of this. If anything, it only helps you.”
“What do you mean?”
“I mean, you took her virginity. Girls eat that shit up. It’s like every fairy-tale ever taught them that sex automatically means impending marriage.”
He has a point, though I don’t picture Savannah as the type to watch fairy-tales—not anymore, anyway. “I don’t know, man.”
“Just, hear me out.” He inhales, reminding me I really need a cigarette. “You said she’s too strong to break easily, did you not?”
“I did.”
“Then you need something to play on, and this could be it. The more you take from her, the worse it’ll hurt when you deliver that final blow. And in the meantime, you get to eat your cake and have it, too.”
I groan, sitting up and rubbing a hand over my face. “That’s pretty messed up.”
He snorts. “No more fucked up than her lying and helping throw your dad in prison. Besides, it was impossible for you to keep your dick in your pants before you fucked her. You haven’t got a chance now.”
BY THE TIME MONDAY morning comes, I’ve already wallowed in self-pity enough to get it out of my system. One thing I’m not sure of, however, is whether I’m going to let myself have Savannah, or if I’ll go back to staying away—or at least trying to. What Tyson said made sense, but it still feels like a betrayal to my dad. He said to stay away from her, and what took place Friday night was the total opposite of that.
“Okay, please tell me you two finally fucked,” Carter requests as soon as I walk into school.
I roll my eyes. “Hey. Nice to see you, too.”
“Yeah, yeah, hey. Life’s good. Kids are great.” He waves the topic off dismissively. “We can get together and paint our nails later. Now, you and Savannah?”
The way I see it, there are two ways I could go about this: I could become a legend by being the only guy in this school to bag Savannah Montgomery, or I can deny it and make her think it wasn’t anything more than a meaningless fuck to me. Being as the former could backfire as she sees people praise me for getting with her, I go with the latter.
“Sorry to disappoint. I drove her home, that’s all.”
He groans loudly, turning to bang his head against the wall. “I was really hoping you two screwed the anger out of each other by now.”
“Nope.” I finish grabbing my books and close my locker. “And besides, even if I did, it wouldn’t change anything. I can’t stand that bitch.”
Spinning around to go to class, I’m face to face with Savannah herself. I do my best to remain stoic, but I’d be lying if I said the hurt expression on her face didn’t feel like a punch to the gut. Still, this is exactly what I was afraid of, and exactly what I can’t allow to happen. She’s nothing but a liar—a traitor in the worst degree—and I need to remember that.
THE DAY DRAGS BY so slowly that I start wonder if my concept of time is distorted. It’d be nice if that were the case, something a simple nap or good night’s sleep could fix. Unfortunately, that’s not it, and I know exactly what the problem is, or who, rather.
Every time I
see her, I picture what she looks like underneath that uniform. The sound of her voice reminds me of how she screamed my name as she fell apart. I swear I’ve spent most of the day half hard inside these already uncomfortable dress pants.
If I can’t make it through a few hours without fucking her with my eyes, how am I going to resist her for the rest of senior year? Getting revenge or not, it’s not like we could ever be more than this. More than enemies. I would never allow it.
“Grayson?” Kinsley gets my attention in fourth period. “Are you okay? You look distracted.”
Savannah turns around to look back at us, giving me a sad smile before narrowing her eyes on Kinsley. It’s like they’re in a silent pissing war, and only one is aware of it. Still, it looks like the school slut may not be useless after all. I give her one of my best smiles and take her hand in mine.
“I’m okay, babe. Thanks for checking on me, though.”
She sighs dreamily. “You’re welcome.”
Savannah huffs before shoving earbuds in her ears. Good, she’s irritated.
I THROW THE FOOTBALL down the field, watching Hayden catch it and run it into the end zone. My eyes drift over to the cheerleaders, despite all the times I’ve told myself not to look. Savannah is running them through a new stunt as they all watch her intently. Liam comes behind her, placing his hands on her waist and lifting her up. The sight of him touching her, even in such an innocent setting, has me seeing deep shades of red. Between being manhandled during cheer and her dance with Brady, she does enough to make me think my desire to lock her in my treehouse at eight years old wasn’t such a bad idea.
Every part of me knows I shouldn’t want her, but for fuck’s sake, she’s like a drug. An addiction that I’ve let myself taste and now can’t quit. I think about everything that Tyson said, and maybe he was right. What if I can have the best of both? It’s a dangerous line that I’d usually be hesitant to walk, but as long as I can keep my feelings purely sexual, I don’t see why we can’t do this.
I watch her carefully, waiting for the moment she goes inside—like she does every time they have practice. Her actions are so predictable I could set a watch to it. Sure enough, fifteen minutes later, I get a chance to glance over there and find her gone.
“I’ll be right back.,” I tell Coach, jogging over to the bleachers.
From where I’m standing, no one can see me unless they’re coming from the school. Savannah walks out, not even thinking to look in my direction. I whistle to get her attention, and she turns to me with a confused look on her face.
“What are you doing?”
I smirk. “Waiting for you.”
She scoffs, crossing her arms over her chest. “Are there a few screws loose in your head or something? Why the fuck would I want anything to do with you after the shit you pulled today?”
Before she can say anything else, I grab her by the back of the neck and pull her in, searing our mouths together. She squeals in surprise, but doesn’t hesitate to kiss me back. Her hands grip the front of my shirt and pull me closer. My tongue tangles with hers in a fight for dominance, though it’s a pointless battle—one she never had any chance of winning.
“You’re mine, Savannah. I will use you however I want and treat you however I please. If you don’t like it, tough. Tell someone who cares.” I leave no room for debate. “Now, enough talking. I’ve done nothing all day but let thoughts of you run wild in my imagination.” Sliding my shorts down, I pull my already hard cock out and pump it in my hand. “And we’re going to make one a reality, right fucking now.”
Her eyes widen as she looks around. “Grayson, we can’t. What if people see us?”
“Then people see us.” I look down at my dick and back up at her. “Unless you want to go get Kinsley for me. I’m sure she wouldn’t hesitate to get on her knees.”
It’s exactly what I needed to say, because she immediately swats my hand away and replaces it with her own. “She comes anywhere near you like this, and you’re going to see a side of me that would put even the craziest of psychos to shame.”
“Ah-ah.” I tut. “What did I say about talking?”
She rolls her eyes before dropping down. The second I feel her mouth on me, it’s like I’ve died and gone to heaven. How did I ever expect to deny myself of this? I reach up and grip onto the bar above me.
“Fuck, you’re good at that.”
A low hum vibrates her mouth, and I throw my head back as I try to hold in the sounds of pure ecstasy. She pulls my cock out before running her tongue down the underside. Then, she smiles in a way that shows her determination. I don’t get a second to wonder the meaning of it because she’s taking me in again and shoving me all the way into the back of her throat. The second she gags around me, and proceeds to moan because of it, I’m completely spent.
My grip tightens as I explode, releasing myself inside of her lying little mouth and covering her sins with my own. She takes everything I give her and swallows it down before licking her lips. It’s erotic, and sexy, and has me ready to fuck her into oblivion right here—but I can’t.
She stands, pulling my shorts up with her and tucking my softening dick safely inside them. “You ready to go back?”
And just like that, I feel my resolve start to slip. She’s not trying to kiss me, or ask what this means. Maybe Tyson was wrong, and if that’s the case, I’m in even more trouble than I thought.
“You go first. I’ll wait a few minutes.”
Her eyes narrow. “Why?”
“Because. No one can know about this.” I grin as I wipe some cum from the corner of her mouth. “This is just getting rid of some built up sexual frustrations. Call it childhood fantasies, if you must. It won’t last forever, and once it fizzles out, things will go back to how they were.” I take a step back. “And besides, I wouldn’t want Kinsley finding out.”
She glares at me, practically shooting fire from her eyes. “You really are an asshole, you know that?”
“Never claimed to be otherwise, babe.”
Shaking her head, she walks away and back to her team. Maybe it was a dick move, throwing her so-called friend in her face like that, but I don’t want her to confuse this for something it’s not. She needs to remember what we are.
Just like I need to remember what I came here for.
THE RAIN POUNDS ON the roof of the school as the thunder cracks loudly outside. The fact that they even had us come in today is surprising, being as they’re expecting trees to be knocked over and there’s potential for tornados. I’m sitting in second period, the one class I have with just Savannah. No one watching my every move or analyzing the meaning of every glance her way. It’s just the two of us, alone in a stupid graphic design class.
Another bolt of lightning flashes. Judging by how closely the thunder comes after, it couldn’t have been more than a couple miles away. However, that’s not what surprises me.
One of the most vivid memories I have of Savannah from when we were younger is the time she slept over my house during a really bad storm.
I roll over in my bed, trying to drown out the sound of the downpour that’s happening outside. The wind blows harshly against the window, and I wonder how much force it would take for it to break. As another rumble of thunder sounds, I hear it mix with the sound of a muffled scream.
Savannah?
Slipping out of bed, I make my way across the hallway and into the guest room. Savi is curled up under the blanket, shaking uncontrollably. I close the door behind me and turn on the light.
“Sav? What’s wrong?”
She peaks her head out from the comforter. “N-nothing. I’m o-okay.”
Another bang and she screams, immediately going back to her hiding place. I chuckle softly and walk over to the bed, lifting the blanket and slipping under it with her. As I look at her face, I realize she’s been crying. The dried tears mix with the new wet ones leaking out.
“Why didn’t you tell me you were afraid of thunderstorms?”
<
br /> She sighs, looking away from me. “I didn’t want you to think I’m a baby.”
I place my hand under her chin and lift it until our eyes meet. “I would never think that. Now, come here.” Putting my arms out, she willingly cuddles into me. “And besides, I’m just as bad with spiders.”
A giggle leaves her mouth. “You’re worse.”
“Am not.”
“Are too! The last time you saw one in the treehouse, you screamed so loud I heard it from my room.”
I poke her in the side, loving the way she squirms. “That was different. It was huge!”
“Whatever you say, wuss.”
That night, we fell asleep together, wrapped in each other’s arms, where no storm or spider could ever hurt us.
With one more crack of thunder, everything goes completely black. The only thing brightening the room is the very minimal light coming through the windows. Still, Savannah is yet to flinch once.
“All right,” Miss Lawson announces. “Grab your things and head to the gym. It looks like we’re going to take shelter in there until the storm clears and the power comes back on.”
I gather all my belongings quickly and make sure to stand next to Sav as we leave the classroom.
“When did that happen?”
Her brows furrow. “When did what happen?”
“You lost your fear of storms,” I explain. “I seem to remember a time when I needed to hold you so you’d stop screaming every time lightning struck.”
“Maybe that was just an excuse to get you to hold me.”
I hum. “Perhaps, but we were nine, and you were crying.”
She chuckles dryly, looking anywhere but at me. “Why do you care, Grayson?”
She’s right, I shouldn’t. The fucked-up fact that I do is not lost on me.
“Just humor me.”
Groaning, she turns around and looks me straight in the eyes. “About a year after you left, when thunderstorms became the least scary thing I dealt with.”
