“I am habitual, and I just carried it 3 miles ,this is the distance of my village from this place” .
I was just looking at his shoot case, it was a big one and very old , looked like it was buried in the ground before he dig it out .
“Don’t touch it” now he stopped me from touching the bag , “sorry but its personal”he said and took the case with him .
“All right I understand but was it not personal when you ordered me to bring this inside?”.
“Leave it , so you are going to live here alone”he asked me looking at the room .
“Yeah , do you see anyone else here?”I asked as I sat down after straitening my back .
“Perfect” he said with a smile of victory .
“Hey , just clean the house , it’s very dirty , was been closed since a long time ”.
“I will clean it tomorrow” he said .
“But just clean my room, how will I sleep in that room”.
“You will , when you will fell asleep really, you know I have slept even on the rocks” .
“What? are you mad Gerard”.
“No I am , not , by the way I am taking your room , the room with round bed so be happy”.
“Oh , thanks , thanks a lot , I think I will have to let you go”.
“All right , I can go away , back to my home , just carry my case outside , then I will” .
“Oh now I got it , I got it why do you brought that heavy case”.
“You got that soon enough” he said with a wicked smile .
“But I will carry that case out one day” .
“You are welcomed, till then I am living here with you , but yeah one thing if you will carry my case out you will not get another servant easily , so just make it a habit to adjust with me, oh god I am going to love this place” he said looking at the house .
“That was a weird servant” doctor said .
Yeah, I just thought what a servant Jason had send, he was totally different from Jason, I can say the word servant didn’t suit him , I cleaned my room myself that night , and I sleep after him that night , I saw a servant like him for the first time in my life but as you know I had to adjust .
“Yeah its really funny to know that”.
Next morning it was still dark outside but Jason was busy in calling me,Jason truly defines the definition of servant
“Sir it’s the time you must get ready to go to college , you will not like to get late on the first day of your college and check the air of your bicycle before you leave” Jason said on phone .
“ThanksJason for calling and waking me up , how is father?”.
“He is fine , he is sleeping , he talked about you on the way , he loves you”.
“I know that, is my decision of living inAlaska hurting him?”.
“Little bit but he understand you, so tell me How is your servant Gerard working?”.
“He thinks himself ruler of a lost empire and heis still sleeping I think”.
“Oh that’s bad, I will talk to him later on this matter, I know he run away from working but he will work”.
“How do you know that he run away from doing work?”.
“He is my younger brother ,sir”.
“What, really? , you never told about him and your family”.
“You never asked me , all right sir just use heater for getting hot water and take a good bath and leave for college , it’s far from the place and you have to go on bicycle ,hope the roads are good enough to ride cycle , your cars will miss you sir”.
“Let them miss me, all right thanks for calling and telling that you too have afamily”.
“All right sir it’s my job and yeah everyone got a family to feed sir” he said and disconnected the call .
“SoGerard was younger brother of Jason ?” doctor asked .
Yeah , Gerard was a graduate , he was looking for a job but he couldn’t find one , butmy parents paid him good so he decided to become servant , when his brother Jason told him that the salary was good he became happy and took the job.
“Oh it was good for him he got job and a house” doctor said .
“Yeah” .
“So what happened next?” .
I left home on the bicycle he was still sleeping at the time I left home .
First day of college
I ride the bicycle ,it was height while going towards the college , so I had to paddle fast and fast , it somehow made me tired and I felt that I was sweating on that winter morning , I reached college and I saw the gates closed there was no one there ,I thought that I was late on the first day of my college, I parked my bicycle and just stood there for a while , then the guards came there and told me that they will not open the gates for anyone before time , I had to wait now , I wasn’t late but I was early it made me happy but at the same time angry at Jason more than his brother Gerard , he made me wakeup before time , and there were more than two hours for the college to start . I just sat there and talked to my mother on phone .
finally the gate opened after one hour of waiting and students begin to reach , they were looking at me because they all know that I was a new student ,it was a tiny college with population less than I had in my class , now I was a new student so I was just searching the classes , a gang of bad , really , really bad boys was standing there , they were three in number , I remember , there were two girls with them too .
“Hey I haven’t seen you before, who you are , what are you doing here?” a boy asked his name was Michael.
“Yeah I am new student , new in this college”I replied to him .
“Pretty chick hah”, they came near to me and said “what are you searching for ?”.
“For my classes”.
“So new lad is unable to find his classes, do you need our help?”.
“I can find it myself thanks” I said and I begin to go , suddenly Steve grabbed my bag from behind and pulled me .
“Hey listen my name is Steve and this is my house , don’t do anything which may force me to kick you out of house , you are a guest live like a guest and go away on time” he said and others laughed , one girl for their group Rita was unhappy , I think she was attracted to me as I was looking red hot in that winter morning .
“Oh red hot really ? , what happened next ?” doctor asked
“Hey let him go , he is doing nothing wrong” she came ahead and said .
“I am just taking precautions darling, just telling some rules” he said to her.
“Can I go now, or you will pull me again? From behind” as I asked all of them laughed .
“Go now baby” he said and they all said bye, they were just making fun of me but It was not bothering me , I never cared for the boys like those, I thought someone was looking at from the terrace but when I looked up , there was no one , so I moved ahead .
I finally found my class , there were many students there in the class , as I entered the class everyonebecame silent but when I sat down all begin to talk among themselves looking at me , then Steve and his gang came there .
“Hey so this is your class?” Steve said .
“Yeah, I came to know that now” .
“But this is our seat sorry, no seat is available for you punk, you know what you have a very bad luck , you know why ? , because you are in my class that’s why ” he said .
“Isthis your seat ?” Iasked him.
“I think I have told you, Punk” stave said and others laughed .
“All right” I said and stood up holding my bag up,there was no seat for me now ,I was just standing teacher came and introduced me to others , I had to bring the bench and chair for myself from the next class .
“Your day was getting worse , I never had the first day like this anywhere , neither in school nor in college , not even at thejob” doctor said .
Congrats then by the way You are right , I was having a feeling that someone is keeping an eye over me , but that person was hiding from me and not coming in front of me, I don’t know what it was
but I ignored it. That girl Rita came to me during break .
“Hey I am Rita , I think we haven’t formally met yet”.
“Yeah I am Jack , JackPrior”.
“You look like JackDawson”.
“Yeah many people say that” I said and a smile came over my face .
“I am sorry for what happened earlier, the way Steve behaved, he is crazy , he like to spread fear among other students”.
“I have seen many like him , so is he your boyfriend ?”.
“No he is not , he is just a friend ” she lied to me , I knew she was speaking a lie.
“Boys like him does not deserve a girl like you”.
“Yeah you are right , I think you will need notebooks to complete your work”.
“Yeah , you are right , I really do need them , I am new and I have no notes”.
“I know that,take them” she gave me her notebooks .
“Are you really giving these to me , Steve may shout at you when he comes to know that”.
“You will return these to me tomorrow,Steve will not come to know, okay , so I am going now , I will see you around” she was going but she returned “can I hug you, I like to hug people” .
“Me?”I asked .
“Yeah”
“All right ” I said , she hugged me , I don’t know why she was doing this , but she was , I didn’t like her at all , her blue hairs and piercing all over lips and nose was not letting me like her .
“But I like girls with blue hairs” doctor said and smiled .
Okay , I respect your choice , it was really strange but I again felt that someone is stalking me , someone is watching me from behind the wall, I went there but there was no one , It was freaking me out , it was making me mad , this was happening again and again for the first time .
Then at last when college ended and I was walking towards parking I thought someone is following me I turned and no one was there, suddenly my phone rang .
“Ohfather” I said looking at the screen and picked up the call .
“Hey boy how was the school ?” he asked me .
“Yeah it was fine , it was good” I said unlocking the lock of my bicycle .
“So did you made any friend ?”.
“Yeah , I think so, well ,kind of friends” I said thinking about Steve and his group .
“Oh that’s good , so did you find any hot chick there? ” .
“This is a cold place dad , all the girls came fully covered up here dad”.
“Oh , that’s not a problem , clothes can’t hide hotness , and your mother looks hotter in winter clothes”
“Dad , why do you always give example of mom , I don’t like those examples at all” .
“She is the only girl I have ever looked at , known and loved”.
“I know that dad I have to go home, I will call you later dad”.
“Okay take care , don’t freeze up there”.
“I will not freeze up dad, love you”, I said and disconnected the call .
I looked back after disconnecting the call , I got shocked , surprised , I was just like I had seen a ghost , my heartbeat nearly stopped .
“What was back there?” doctor asked .
There was a girl .
“What? Your heartbeat just stopped because you saw a girl” doctor laughed as he said.
The girl of my dreams
She was not just any girl , she was the girl from my dreams and she was standing right in front of me , I thought thatI was in my dreamsagain, I was looking at her , she was smiling looking at me , I can see nervousness in her smile , her eyes had magic , they had the same magic they had in my dreams , I never saw eyes so magical like she had , her eyes were taking my breath away on that winter day , I can’t feel myself at that time , the only thing I was feelingat that time was her , I was feeling her more than myself , I don’t know what type of feeling was that ,It was just like getting everything you ever dreamed of in just a moment , what a feeling it was doctor , all I can say that my heartbeat was above the maximum limit humans have, but I was still alive , with my heart beating for her ,at first she seemed unreal to me but she wasn’t ,she was all real standing in front me , I thought it to be a dream but I was not in dream because she spoke , she spoke to me .
“Now you are talking like mad ones , what did she said ?” doctor asked .
“I think you have dropped your wallet” she said looking down at my wallet .
“Oo o oo I IIthi think I have seen you”my eyes were just on that girl I don’t want to move them as she was the one I always wished to see in real world with my wide open eyes .
“I don’t think I haven’t seen you yet , never , besides there is not a single dollar in your wallet but the wallet seems expensive so you might want to pick it up , you dropped it up when you picked up your call” she said in her magical voice .
“Yeah” I said in a shivering voice and bent down to pick it up , I stood up she was not there , she was gone , she was not there ,it made me sad, then after sometime I looked around and I saw her going , the smile returned to my face , I went running holding the bicycle , I went near to her, she was walking and I too quietly begin to walk with her .
“Hi” I said in between .
“Hey”she replied with a killer smile , my heart was not getting a way to slow down , her beauty wasn’t giving any excuse to my heart to slow down .
We just continued walking silently .
“Can I walk with you ?” I said and break the silence again .
“You are walking with me” she said smiling this time I looked at her eyes , the color was different , it was not black , brown , hazel , blue , it was like a mixture of all these colors making her eyes really attractive.
“Okay what did you said next ?” doctor asked looking at Jack .
“So, have you ever been to new York?” I asked her .
“No I have never been there but I will like to , I have never been to any place , yet , I love it in here” she said setting her hairs .
“Yeah its really nice and cold place , I am loving it in here too”I said looking around and I was just walking with her and I was looking at her .
“Why are you looking at me like this ?” she finally asked .
“I , I don’t know , I really just don’t know” I said and looked down just to remove my eyes for a single moment .
“So you are new here in this place?”she asked
“Yeah I am New York city, sorry I am from new york city , so don’t you have friends here in the college ?” I still could not speak properly but I was not letting the conversation die .
“Why are you asking this?” , she asked in a surprise .
“I thought you are walking alone, so it may be possible that you don’t have friends”.
“Yeah I don’t have friends I like to live alone”.
“So it means you don’t have any boyfriend yet ?”.
“I don’t have yet , I was searching for the boy of my dreams” she looked me for a moment as she said , there was a wicked smile on her face now.
“So have you found him now ?”.
“You tell me , have you found the girl of your dreams?”
“Yeah I have really , its like unbelievable , it’s just like I can’t say , dreams do come true , oh god dreams do come true , I came to know this today” .
“Yeah I know that , sometimes dreams turn into reality” .
“You know that ?” .
“Yeah I do , so what about Steve and his gang did they disturbed you today ?” .
“How do you know that ?”.
“I just know , so Rita was attracted to you ?”.
“I don’t like her at all , I love the girl of my dreams” I said and winked at her hearing this she smiled and looked away for a while.
We kept walking silently after that , then she stopped .
“My home is up in the mountains, you must go , I will go from here”.
“I have time , I can go after I walk you t
o your home”.
“Sorry but you must go , I don’t want to use pepper spray on you” she smiled“so it will be better if you will go” she said and we both smiled, I remained where I was, I saw her going .
“Tell me your name before you go” I shouted she turned back .
“Its Olivia” she said and smiled , “see you tomorrow , I know you have to copy lot of notes from Rita’s notebook, so be busy today” she said and went away , I saw her till she reached her house , she opened her door she looked at me , she smiled looking at me before she went inside .
I was standing there , “Olivia you are the girl of my dreams , my dreams were true” I saidlooking at her house on the hill , I was so happy that day ,I was never been so happy till that day and I could not think of anything other than her at that moment , I was happy that I was there in Alaska , I remained there for a while and finally at five I went on my bicycle towards home .
Back home
I reached home , parked the bicycle and went inside
“You are three hours late, where were you?”Gerard asked me as I reached inside, he was sitting on the couch and was reading my favorite novel .
“Yeah I know I am ,so you checked my stuff and find my favorite novel to read” I threw my bag on the couch and said .
“Yeah , I made food for you , but you were not here , so I threw it in the dustbin” .
“What ? Why did you do that”.
“I thought you were lost and you were not going to come before 8 , by the way where were you ?” .
“You are not my parent and you are underage for being a parent , so don’t try to act like a parent , you can act like a friend and can ask question like , how was the first day ?, did you saw any beautiful girl or not, but you are throwing my food and all, I don’t want to shout at you but you are being rude” .
“I can ask like a friend now if you want”.
“Leave it , go and make hot coffee for me”.
“Say, please go and please make coffee for me”.
“What? are you serious right now ?”
“I am your servant not slave , there is a big difference between the two” .
