“Yes, but only because I follow all the other rules,” said Mason. “It’s a privilege to break the rules. You haven’t earned it yet, but if you’re a good boy, you can one day, got it?”

“Okay, I get it now,” said Leif. “Mama…I’m sorry for running off like that. I won’t do it again.”

“Now I think that you’ve earned yourself an extra slice of cake. Just don’t tell your dad,” said Eliza. “Thanks again, Mason.”

“Any time, Auntie Eliza,” said Mason, giving Eliza a hug before she left.

“You’re really good with kids,” said Savina, watching Eliza and Leif get more dessert. “Is what you said true?”

“What, about rule breaking?” asked Mason. “Heck yeah! You think my mom would let me dye my hair if I wasn’t getting good grades? Or that my grandpa would let me go back to Bonimolean this fall if I hadn’t put in the hard time and learned my lesson about stealing planes? Heck no!”

“There’s a lot I don’t know about you,” admitted Savina.

“It doesn’t have to be that way,” said Mason.

“You remember what I said that night,” said Savina.

“Who said anything about…that?” asked Mason. “You can still be friends with me, Savina. I miss you. I miss doing things with you. I miss talking to you. I even miss fighting with you.”

“Do you think we can be friends?” asked Savina. “After…well, you know.”

“Of course we can,” said Mason.

“Okay, so where do we start?” asked Savina.

“We start by getting ourselves some more cake before Leif manages to trick his mom into letting him eat the whole darn thing,” said Mason.

  Chapter Fifty-Four

Over the next week, things went back to pre-sex normal with Savina and Mason. They were talking again, hanging out, but they didn’t talk about the one thing that had made things weird to begin with. There was no mention of that night at all.

The one night that was on everyone’s mind was the night of the bachelorette and bachelor parties. They’d be held on a Wednesday night, to avoid crowds and so there were a few days of recovery before the wedding. Savina was in charge of arranging the women’s bachelorette party, which Herb was paying for, and Mason had planned the bachelor party, paying for it with his own money.

Savina and the gals got into a limo outside of the manor and headed to Dallas. Before they reached their destination, Savina had a surprise for her friends.

“Put these on,” said Savina, passing them each a sleeping mask. “They’re your blindfolds.”

  “Blindfolds?” asked Alice. “Really?”

“Come on, humor me a little,” said Savina.

The sisters put on their blindfolds and when they reached the destination, Savina got out of the car, opened the door, and had them form a line, oldest to youngest, with her leading Alice and Cayenne acting as the caboose of their train.

“Where are we going?” Addison asked Savina, bumping into Abigail.

“I have no frikkin’ clue,” said Abigail, readjusting her blindfold.

“I wasn’t asking you,” said Addison. “Savina, what the heck are we blindfolded for?”

“I don’t want you to ruin the surprises for yourselves,” said Savina. “I’ve worked hard on this, and we’re gonna have a heck of a great time, okay?”

“Fine, fine, but do we at least get to drink?” asked Cayenne.

“It’s a bachelorette party,” said Savina. “Of course you all get to drink.”

A man opened a back door for Savina and let her lead in her party. This had all been planned.

Savina lined her sisters up and finally, said, “On the count of three, remove your blindfolds. One…two…three!”

The sisters all removed their blindfolds. They couldn’t frikkin’ believe what Savina had pulled off.

They were at a nightclub, but the only other people there were event staff and some male models wearing skimpy BDSM outfits. They were wearing leather jockstraps, male corsets, assless chaps, the whole gamut of male BDSM wear, with a focus on rubber, leather, metal, and of course, latex. Each was holding a tray of fancy appetizers. There was a bar, tended by a regular female bartender with tats and wildly dyed hair, and there were red velvet chairs, hardwood tables with food, and on one table, there was a man who was wearing only a black codpiece…but his body was covered with pieces of sushi.

“Holy heck,” said Alice. “Savina, you planned all this?”

“The best is yet to come,” said Savina. “Eat up first! I’ll be right back.”

Alice and the rest of the Quincy brides got themselves drinks and filled small plates with food.

Savina came back out with a tall, curvy woman with her hair in a strict bun. The woman was wearing all black. Her outfit consisted of a black leather cat-suit that still allowed her ample flexibility to move about, and she was walking in three-inch stiletto heel boots as if they were comfy running sneakers.

“Gals, I’d like to introduce you to Miss Janet L’Toe,” said Savina.

“You can call me Janet,” said Janet warmly. “I hear you four are getting married this weekend. Congratulations!”

“It’s a pleasure to meet you,” said Alice, shaking Janet’s hand. “What do you…do?”

“I’m an instructor in the arts of BDSM,” said Janet. “Today, some of my submissives are here to help me show you the ropes.”

“Why do I have a feeling that there are literally going to be ropes involved?” asked Addison.

“Because there are,” said Janet. “We’re going to be going over ropework and other tools of bondage, techniques for disciplining your man, sex toys, have some questions and answers time, and of course, go over BDSM safety, both physical and emotional. Sound good?”

“Sounds great,” said Abigail. “Savina…how did you know that we’d be into this?”

“Each of you has told me privately what you’re into,” said Savina. “We’ve never talked about it as a group, but this way, it’s not weird or awkward. Plus, you’ll have new things to try out on your honeymoons!”

“Savina, that’s so sweet,” said Cayenne. “I can’t wait to learn some new things.”

“Oh, and one last thing,” said Savina. “I’ve purchased a set of toys for all of us. That way, we can learn how to use all the same toys that Janet is teaching us to use tonight. The toys include some bondage gear and rope and cleaning wipes for the toys and stuff.”

“You don’t have to use them on my men,” said Janet. “What we’re going to be doing is using the stuff I’ve already opened and used on them. That way, your stuff remains special and unused. Remember, one of the main rules of BDSM is, it’s not a good idea to share toys with different partners unless you’re fluid bonded with all of them. Now, who can tell me what it means to be ‘fluid bonded’?”

Janet started the lesson from the bottom. She made sure everyone knew about basic BDSM safety tips and guidelines, from toy hygiene to submissive aftercare.

Back at the Mesquite Manor, things were getting wild, real wild.

“Roll two d8’s to figure out what you hit the kobold for,” said Clove.

“Which one is the d8 again?” asked Basil.

“This one,” said Clove. “And this one.” He passed Basil the eight-sided dice.”

“Okay, I got…two,” said Basil. “Dang.”

“Snake eyes? Your hit misses. The kobold hisses at you. It’s angry, real angry, and your character pees its pants a little,” says Clove. “Mace, what do you do?”

“I cast a spell of summoning,” said Mason.

“And what is it that you’d like to summon?” asked Clove. “Maybe a fencing instructor to teach Basil how to swordfight?”

  The guys laughed.

“Nope, I want to summon a motorcycle,” said Mason.

“There aren’t motorcycles in this world,” said Clove.

“Not yet there aren’t,” said Mason. “What do I have to roll?”

  “Roll the
d20,” said Clove. “You have to hit 20 to succeed. You also have to roll twice.”

Mason rolled the weird dice once. It came up twenty. All the guys took a shot, as was the rule. Their tabletop fantasy game had a drinking game.

“Blow on it for luck, sweetheart,” said Mason, holding the dice out to Clove.

“Really?” asked Clove. “Fine.” Clove blew on the dice, hard.

Mason shook the dice and rolled it. It came up twenty. Shots were taken again.

“I can’t frikkin’ believe you pulled it off,” said Clove. “Your character manages to summon a motorcycle, the biggest, most badass one you can imagine.”

“Is the tank full?” asked Mason.

“Yes, Mason, the tank is full,” said Clove.

Once all the safety stuff was covered, it was time to have some fun with Janet’s guys. There were six of them, one for each of the gals and one for Janet to use for demonstrations. All six men were quite handsome but more importantly, they were obedient. Janet walked around to judge everyone’s ropework, giving them tips on what parts should be looser or tighter and explaining, using the models, why.

“Very good work,” said Janet, looking at Savina’s work on the man that Janet only called ‘slave,’ the way she called all her men ‘slave.’ Savina had no clue what this guy’s real name was.

  “Really?” asked Savina.

“Really,” said Janet. “How long have you been in the scene?”

  “The what?” asked Savina.

  “The BDSM scene,” said Janet.

“Oh, I’m not in it,” said Savina. “In fact, I’d never used rope for this kind of thing before.”

“Really?” asked Janet. “I could’ve sworn you were a natural. After all, you did arrange this party.”

“One of my friends from college got a lesson from you once,” said Savina. “That’s how I learned about you. I hit up my girlfriends for advice on holding a bachelorette party.”

“Well, what you’re giving your sisters is truly a gift that will last them the rest of their lives,” said Janet.

Janet walked back to her slave and untied him. All the slaves were covered with rope markings in nearly identical places now that they were done with the ropework portion of the seminar. Janet pulled out handcuffs and spreader bars and started to explain how to use those.

Savina tried to pay attention, but all she could think about was Mason. It didn’t help that she’d been assigned the one male model with bright blue hair. It wasn’t totally like Mason’s, but the blue reminded her of Mason’s hair, of his eyes, of the way his shift’s fur had looked at the hot sauce competition. Savina tried to shake the thought out of her head, but that meant there was room in her head for a question: what the heck were the guys doing for their bachelor party?

“I get on my bike, go down the hallway, and cast spells at all the kobolds,” said Mason.

“You know, roleplaying games are a chance for you to try being someone else,” said Clove.

“Hey, I’m pretending to be a wizard,” said Mason.

  “Okay, roll…three d10s,” said Clove.

Mason rolled all three dice at once.

“Twenty,” said Clove. “Is that good enough?”

“You get on your bike and go down the hall,” said Clove. “You take down about six of the ten kobolds with magic, one with your bike.”

  “Awesome,” said Mason.

“But…you forgot to wish for a helmet,” said Clove. “You’re so busy gloating about your kills that you hit the wall and get knocked out.”

“Come on! You know I’d never hit a wall,” said Mason.

“You wouldn’t, but what about Viewnopsis, Wizard of the North?” asked Clove. “Last time I checked, he’d never been on a motorcycle before.”

“Okay, okay, I’m knocked out,” said Mason. “Then what?”

Once they were done with their bondage seminar, it was time to learn about disciplining and rewarding submissives. Savina learned that they were supposed to tell their submissives to do things, but if they didn’t do well, they’d get disciplined: spanked, flogged, told to eat them out for an hour, whatever. If the submissive did well, they got a ‘treat.’ This could be a handjob, a blowjob, a new toy, permission to look at them, or anything else they wanted. For the purposes of the seminar, they just fed the slaves cookies.

Finally, it was time for the sex toy explanation section of the class. The gals sat in the chairs, in a circle, and learned about the various toys in the bag, but all Savina could think about was what the heck the guys must be doing at their party. Were there strippers? If so, Mason would be the only one there who was single. Would the strippers all be dancing on Mason? Would Mason be doing naughty things with strippers? Would he charm one, take her upstairs, and have sex with her in the very same bed where she’d had sex with him?

“Fate must like you today. Let’s recap…you pulled that motorcycle stunt, got knocked out, got healed by Sage’s cleric character, and then you all ended up getting the treasure, and yet another quest,” said Clove, rubbing his temples. “You’re back at the tavern, and you’ve got a new quest, a quest to deliver some cookies to Herb’s character’s grandma.”

“Cookie delivery, easy,” said Herb. “How hard could it be?”

“Do you think the girls are playing these kinds of games at their party?” asked Basil, looking to Mason.

“They’re probably doing truth or dare or something,” said Mason. His bear roared out of envy and Mason couldn’t hush it. What were the gals doing? Herb had hinted that it’d be a little raunchy, but what was a ‘little raunchy’? Would they just be playing silly games, or would there be male strippers? He’d been at Bear Buns before, at their Denver location, and seen Basil dance on the pole, but did Dallas have an equivalent? Mason found himself getting jealous over something that might not even be happening. He tried to hush his bear, but his bear told him to listen to his instincts. Would Savina be getting shots of alcohol, and hot meat injections, from some guy other than Mason? After all, she was the single little sister at the big bachelorette party. Who knew what wolves might want to eat her up?

The sex toy demo ended, and the girls were still giggly from all the booze. As the one in charge of making sure everyone got home in one piece, Savina hadn’t partaken in alcohol. She had just had some sodas. It was time for everyone to head home, so everyone hopped back in the limo with their big gift bags stashed in the trunk and went back to the Mesquite Manor.

“Did you girls have a good time?” Savina asked her sisters as they got into the car.

“This was ah-may-zing,” said Alice between hiccups.

“You know how to throw a good bachelorette party,” said Addison. “It’s too bad you won’t have one.”

Savina frowned. “Why wouldn’t I have one?”

Alice shot Addison a look, and Addison realized her mistake.

“Sorry, I didn’t mean it like that,” said Addison. “It’s just…I don’t know. I wish you were gonna be up there with us this weekend, at the wedding, y’know?”

“That’s the booze talking,” said Abigail, patting Addison on the back. “Poor thing has no idea what she’s saying.”

“I’m just glad everything’s worked out,” said Savina. “We had the setback with the dresses, but that was it. No drama, no nothing.”

“Your dress is so pretty,” said Cayenne. “The big skirt and all.”

“Big skirt?” asked Savina. “You’re thinking of the one I tried on for Alice, not my bridesmaid dress. How much did you have to drink?”

Alice glared at Cayenne and Cayenne also realized her mistake.

“I had a lot,” lied Cayenne. “I just love weddings! Whee!”

The sisters gushed about their big awesome party on the way back to the manor and sobered up a bit with some sports drink and sandwiches that the driver had picked up for them from a restaurant. Savina had arranged that all ahead of time. She’d thought of everything to make the party perfect, but some
thing still felt wrong inside. She didn’t know what it was. Why did she feel so jealous about the bachelor party, when she had no claim on Mason? Why did she feel so bad about the comments her sister had made, even though they’d meant well? As the limo pulled into the manor’s drive, these thoughts still haunted Savina’s head.

  Chapter Fifty-Five

The men were there to greet their womenfolk. Savina had texted Herb when they were about fifteen minutes away. Luckily, all the gals were wearing some cute but comfy dresses and some sensible shoes, so even though there was some stumbling, nobody got hurt. However, even though Savina only needed the four grooms to pick up their brides, somebody else was with them, the fifth person that completed the Scoville Clan’s set: Mason. Savina was busy grabbing her duffle bag of toys out of the trunk of the car, so at first, she didn’t see Mason. When she did see him, she wished she hadn’t.

Mason was wearing a black shirt with sweatpants. In the light of the porch, Savina saw that there was glitter on his clothing. Her heart sank. There had been strippers, and from the looks of it, none of the other Scoville Brothers had any glitter on them at all. Obviously, Mason had received most of the stripper’s attention. How many women had danced on him that night? One? Two? A dozen? Were they hot, skinny, lithe women who knew how to dance like professional porn stars knew how to have sex?

Savina looked away from Mason, but he still approached her.

“You don’t have to be here,” said Savina. “I’m not drunk.”

“I wouldn’t miss this show for the world,” said Mason. “You guys had a really good time, didn’t you?”

“It was all right,” said Savina.

“It was the best,” said Cayenne, correcting her little sister. “Mason, it was amazing!”

“There were hot dudes,” said Addison. “None as hot as Sage, but…they were not bad on the eyes.” Sage rolled his eyes and made sure Addison had all her stuff, especially her glasses. They had spare pairs in case she lost them, but he still wanted to fuss over her.
