Cabin Fever

“So now what?” Patrick asked.
“Let her come to us, when she’s ready. If she wants to go with one of us, let her be the one to choose.”
“I can’t see that happening anytime soon,” Patrick muttered.
“You don’t give yourself much credit either, my friend.”
Patrick watched him leave the room. Could he tell Sandra he loved her more than life itself? She embodied everything he wanted in a woman. Smart, funny, adventurous, caring, and beautiful. She was always there with a kind word and supported every decision he made. She’d been there when his father died, and in the days and weeks afterward, she would come by his house or office and sit. Not say anything, but just sit, her presence comforting and calming.
He recalled their conversation the day before. Would she freak out if he told her his true feelings? And what about Sean? She’d had an issue when he’d mentioned him. But more important, how did she feel about him? Were his feelings one-sided?
He plowed his fingers through his hair in frustration.
Sean returned, zipping his jacket. “I’m going into town to check out a couple of the hardware stores I noticed on the drive up. If I’m lucky, I might be able to find another contractor or at least a recommendation.”
It wasn’t until he got to the door that Patrick deciphered his words. “What? Okay.”
“Man, you need to relax. It’ll all work out. Trust me.”
“Watch your ass. The snow is really coming down.”
“If it gets too crazy, I’ll come back.”
He left Patrick staring at the flames. Why did Sean seem so sure about this? No matter the situation, his friend had a never-say-die attitude. Maybe it would work itself out, so maybe he should relax. After all, he really didn’t have a choice.

Sandra prepared for breakfast and whatever else the day would bring. She’d done a lot of soul searching the night before, barely sleeping at all. In spite of that, she wasn’t tired. She had more spring in her step than usual. Coming down the stairs, she could already feel the warmth of the fireplace below. She spotted Patrick on the couch. “Good morning.” She rubbed her cold hands together. “Where’s Sean?”
At first, he didn’t reply. He turned and stared into her in a way that made her skin prickle deliciously. Anyone who didn’t know him might see that as being rude. But he was thinking. She could almost see the wheels turning behind his eyes.
“Good morning, Sandra,” he said, finally. “He’s on his way to the hardware store. How did you sleep?”
“I didn’t. I did a lot of thinking.” She sat on the arm of the couch, next to him. She laced her fingers together on her lap and stared at them.
“About?” He folded one of her hands in his and rubbed the back of it.
“About what’s been happening in the past twenty-four hours.”
“I see. Well, I’m glad you brought it up.”
“Oh? Okay.”
“Come sit down.” He scooted over to make room. “There’s no need to be nervous.” Patrick waited until she settled next to him, then took a deep breath. “Sandra…I love you.”
“Patrick!” Her mouth hung open, and her arms flailed. She should have seen it coming. She should have nipped this in the bud when the conversation was still fresh. But she’d had that damn charley horse, and…. “I-I don’t—”
“No, wait, Sandy.” Patrick took her gently by the wrists. “Listen to me. I’ve always loved you and there is no reason to be scared of it. What I desperately need to know is if you feel the same.”
Sandra was stunned stupid. This side of Patrick scared her a bit. Vulnerable. She didn’t have a clue how to handle that. The rude, stoic, stone-faced Patrick she could deal with. “I don’t know. I—”
“Yes, you do, Sandra.”
“But Sean….”
“This isn’t about him now. It’s about you and me. I left myself wide open here. Please….”
Sandra wanted to cry. She did love him. He was her Stone Man. Hard at times, blunt and to the point. Now he was showing a side of himself she didn’t think she could handle and practically lying in her arms like a little boy.
She reached for his hair and ran her fingers through it. “Patrick, I do love you, but as a friend.”
“I’m tired of being just your friend and someone you hang out with. I want to be your lover, too.”
“Pat—”
Before she could finish, his lips covered hers in a deep, soulful kiss. Caressing her softly, he leaned in to her. “Sandra,” he breathed as his lips moved to her ear. He inched her sweater up over her breasts.
Her hands covered his larger ones. “No, Sean might—”
“Sean will understand. And right now, the only name I want to hear coming from your lips is mine.” He snatched the sweater off, and caressed her shoulders, making his way to her cleavage. He kissed the tops of her breasts then reached around her to unfasten her bra before sending it flying to the floor.
Sandra was in such a state of arousal, she didn’t care anymore. She didn’t recognize this side of him and more than that, she wanted to see how far he would go.
He cupped her breast in his massive hand and sucked her hardened nipple into his mouth.
“Patrick!”
“That’s what I like to hear.”
He gave the other one the same treatment. “You taste just like I imagined. Sweet.”
Sandra had her hands in his hair, nearly pulling it from the scalp. He worked his way back up to her lips and kissed her, then sought her earlobe, sucking it while kneading her breasts to hot, tight points.
As he toyed with her, she lost what thread of control she had and bucked under him, knocking him off the couch.
Patrick chuckled and held her closer to him. “You ready for me already, baby?” he whispered, stroking her cheeks. “Let me remove these.” He slid her pants down her legs, stopping when he came to the Ace Bandage wrapped around her calf.
She noticed the tense expression on his face. As much as it might cost him, he eased back a little to look into her eyes. “Are you okay? Do you think you can continue?”
“Yes. I have it on there to make sure it doesn’t come back.”
“I’ll make sure it doesn’t.” He massaged her leg. “But…are you sure?”
“Very sure.” She tried not to be too eager, but she couldn’t wait to feel Patrick on top of her.
He got more comfortable on the floor and removed his shirt and pants. She gawked at him. She’d seen him in his bathing suit, of course. Very tight, it showed his assets well. But she’d never seen him naked.
After his clothes were discarded, he clasped her wrists. “I want you to take off the rest.”
Sandra looked down. What rest? What was left made her nervous. They’d reached the point of no return. Once she removed his boxers, she couldn’t hightail it. And no saying “maybe some other time.”
Sandra slipped her thumbs into the waistband and tugged them down. When his erect penis emerged from the fabric, she was beset with two sudden urges: one to flee and another to take him in her mouth.
As she carefully bent down to do the latter, Patrick grabbed her by the chin. “No, honey. This morning is for you, and you only.”
Chapter Twelve
Patrick stepped out of his briefs, keeping his eyes on her. The only thing he wore now was his tribal necklace, which Sandra thought looked sexy against his skin and long dark hair. Proud of his Native American heritage, he opted for that instead of getting a tribal tattoo.
Sandra reached up and caressed the necklace, then his bare chest. To touch him like this was a new and exciting experience; she felt as though she was meeting him for the very first time. But this time getting to know him as a lover, not as a co-worker, not as a best friend.
Patrick grasped the hand exploring his pecs and kissed her open palm. “Lie down. I want to taste you.”
Sandra’s face flushed as she did what she was told.
“Open
your legs.”
No room for negotiating there either. The commanding, blunt tone of his voice made it clear. But she didn’t mind. In fact, she relished it. This side of Patrick she’d already learned to live with. Experiencing it in a more intimate setting turned her on.
He rubbed his cheek against the inside of her thigh. His thick mane tickled her skin and sent delicious waves of pleasure to her core.
Then without warning, he dove into her wet pussy and swirled his tongue around her clit.
Sandra couldn’t believe what she was doing, or allowing, for that matter. Her best friend and co-worker was eating her pussy like a starving man. Damn if that doesn’t feel great!
She thrust her hips up, trying for the best position. She couldn’t decide what was about to make her come faster, the talent of his tongue or the naughtiness of having sex with her BFF.
“Deeper, Patrick.” She arched her back and tugged on his hair. He lifted his head, which she greeted with a moan of disapproval. “Don’t stop.”
“I’m taking a little break. You like, so far?”
“I love it.”
“Good. If you love that, you’re gonna die when I do this.” Patrick slowly inserted two fingers deep into her opening. Her juices poured down her thighs.
“Patrick, fuck me with them! Stop teasing me like this.”
“Your wish is my command.”
The room spun as he pumped faster and faster.
She’d imagined what it would be like to be with Patrick on more intimate terms. Reality way surpassed her imagination.
“I’m coming!” She tried to keep her eyes open. Patrick’s slowed his movements. He pulled his fingers out and lapped the juices from her thighs.
Sandra blacked out at one point, sheer pleasure coming so fast and so intense, she wanted to cry. She didn’t want to pass out again and miss anything Patrick might decide to do to her next.
Instead she threw her head back, trying to focus on something, anything. What she saw would surely be her undoing.

The snow really came down. Sean didn’t make it two blocks. Well, this trip is cancelled. Even as he left the driveway, he’d doubted he’d make it far, but the errand gave him an excuse to vacate the cabin.
He made a U-turn and headed back to the lodge. He would call around instead, then get at least three estimates before shelling money out. He wasn’t even sure if he wanted the lodge. This definitely had to be discussed with Patrick and Sandra.
And speaking of the two, he was glad Patrick had finally admitted his feelings—to him, at least. And he had a feeling as soon as he left, Patrick had finally had the nerve to tell Sandra.
He’d told the truth. He didn’t have a problem with Patrick’s feelings for Sandra, never had. He totally understood them. Shared them.
The snow worsened while he raced to the front door. “Damn, they didn’t mention anything about a blizzard on the morning weather report.”
Shivering, he unlocked the door and stepped in. After shaking all the snow off and shedding his boots and jacket, he decided he needed a hot bath. The freezing snow stuck to his skin like plastic wrap—and it wasn’t a good feeling.
As he approached the stairs, he heard feminine moans of pleasure. He peeked around the corner. They lay on the floor in front of the fireplace. He smiled to himself. Patrick hadn’t been sure how to tell her how he felt. But by the looks of things, he’d figured it out.
He didn’t move an inch, simply stayed by the door and watched.
He didn’t need the warmth of a bath any more. The scene before him got him hotter than any hot water or fireplace ever could. Caught up in the moment, he unzipped his pants and gripped his shaft.
He started off slow, moving from the tip to the base of his cock. As Patrick and Sandra’s lovemaking became more frenzied, he stroked faster and harder, driving closer to his own climax.
Sandra being pleasured was the most erotic thing he’d witnessed in his life. Seeing her being pleasured by Patrick lifted the eroticism to another level. He’d insisted, he didn’t have a problem, as long as the other man with Sandra was his best friend. But Sean honestly hadn’t been sure what his true reaction would be. What a pleasant surprise to learn he could share her, and better yet, enjoy it.
He braced his free hand on the doorframe, lost in his pleasure and the erotic picture before him. The look of ecstasy on Sandra’s face turned him on, and took him by surprise. He didn’t want to compare the love scene to a hard-core sex movie. Not something this special.
Patrick crawled up her body and kissed her. She wrapped her legs around him, pumping her hips, as if trying to force him inside her. Patrick laid her flat on her back, embraced her, and continued kissing her.
Sandra seemed more aroused than a woman just being kissed. Something else was going on, and Sean had a good idea what.
The sexual energy in the room seemed stronger than anything he’d ever experienced with any woman. But these were people he knew, loved, and respected—people he wanted to spend the rest of his life with.
Sean experienced a bonding moment with the both of them, without even touching them.
They were close.
Within minutes, the house filled with cries of unadulterated gratification, the three pals climaxing at once. After a few minutes, the moans and groans were replaced with heavy panting.
He threw his head back and rested it against the doorframe. He glanced over at his friends on the floor as Patrick crawled off Sandra’s body. Her full, round breasts rose and fell in time with her breathing.
Patrick rolled her to her side and cuddled up next to her, whispering in her ear. More than likely, ‘I love you.’
Taking a handkerchief from his pocket, Sean cleaned himself as best he could and zipped his pants. He needed a shower now—hot and cold. Sandra, wrapped tightly in his friend’s arms, drifted off to sleep. He tiptoed by them and peered down. Patrick grinned up at him and mouthed, “Thank you.”
Sean smiled and whispered, “No, thank you.”

Sandra set her coffee cup down. She peered in the fridge, looking for something stronger. When she saw the Samuel Adams in the back, she reached for it. Then her stomach twisted. She put it back. “Can never get past the taste of beer.”
The morning had been incredible, absolutely incredible.
She tried to wrap her head around everything. And there was a lot to wrap it around. She hadn’t even called Rhonda yet.
Out of the blue, Patrick had confessed his love for her. Then he’d eaten her out like no man had ever done before. Sandra replayed those moments in her mind. His tongue too magnificent for words, his lips magical. Damn, just perfect!
But the kicker—and she hadn’t thought it could get any better—or kinkier—was Sean jacking off while watching them, as if they’d been in a movie. My God! “I’m no porno star,” she mused. “But guys love visuals.”
At first, she believed she was hallucinating. She should have been appalled. She should have been disgusted and outraged. But instead, the sight excited her even more, if that were possible. After seeing Patrick in all his glory and having his tongue explore every crevice of her pussy, she hadn’t thought it could get any better.
She’d seen the guys in their workout clothes, and lots of times shirtless, but never buck-naked. She would never remove the image of Sean jacking off from her mind. Maybe she didn’t want to. She sighed, refilling her cup.
“You shouldn’t have so much caffeine on an empty stomach,” Sean said from behind her.
She jumped, nearly spilling the hot liquid all over herself. Both men loved to sneak up on her for some reason. She flashed him a look before responding. “I wasn’t really hungry.”
“Come on, you didn’t have breakfast, and it’s about lunchtime. Let me fix you something.” He opened the refrigerator and perused the contents.
“Um, Sean?”
“Hmm.”
“We need to talk.”
He p
eeked over the refrigerator door. “Of course, honey.” He took a seat at the table. “What’s on your mind?”
“This morning. Patrick…he told me….” She fumbled with her coffee cup, narrowly saving the contents again. She didn’t know how he would take this new revelation.
“Let me make it easier on you.” Sean clasped her hand. “He told you he loved you.”
“Yes, but—”
“There’s nothing else to say, honey.”
“But—”
“I’m not upset. I’m glad he finally told you. And speaking of confessions….”
She’d been totally in the dark about everything. “Don’t tell me, you love me, too?”
He shrugged. “Would that upset you?”
“Sean, I—”
“I do love you. I care for you very much.”
“It’s not only that.” Sandra put her head in her hands. “I need to ask you something about this morning.”
“Go on.” Sean poured himself a cup of hot brew.
“We share everything and do everything together, but….”
“But?”
“I saw you in the doorway. Watching us. And…and….” She circled her finger, pointing at his crotch.
“And?” Sean eyed her steadily, taking a healthy swig of java.
“You like to watch?”
“Do you like to be watched?” He stood, going back to the fridge and pulled out bread and lunchmeat. “Sandra, there’s nothing wrong with what happened. Quite natural actually.”
She stared at him skeptically.
“Natural for us,” he clarified. “We’ve been together for years. We’re closer to you than some of your girlfriends. Add to the fact we’re single and attractive, if I do say so myself.” Sean snickered. “I think it’s fair to say we find each other eye-catching. We’re healthy, red-blooded males and you’re a healthy, red-blooded female.”
Sandra fiddled with her cup. “So you’re saying there was no way we could have stayed platonic friends.”
“It’s not that. Patrick and I both care for you, and I know you care for us. He confessed he loves you, as do I.” Sean came to her side and knelt. “Do you think you could love both of us, as well?”
