Dorko the Magnificent

Ta-daaaa!
I STILL HAVE GRANDMA MELVYN’S NOTEBOOK, AND I USE IT TO DRAW MY OWN ideas for my act. I think she left most of the book empty so I could continue where she left off. And that’s what I’m going to do. Cat has decided to learn magic, too, and I think she could become as good at it as me if she works hard enough. Grandma Melvyn would like that.
There’s one more thing I want to tell you. I’ve been thinking a lot about that moment with no name when anything can happen. And I finally know what to call it.
It’s magic.
I think Grandma Melvyn knew that, and now you do too.
There’s not much left to do but say thanks for reading my book. I’ll be in sixth grade next fall at Peterson Middle School, and I’ll have a new act. I don’t know what it is yet, but I can tell you one thing. It’s going to be magnificent.
