Promise Me
Page 30
By my calculations and by the slow movement of the car due to what I’m assuming is heavy traffic, I figure this might be a bit of a work out for me. I’m up for the challenge though, so I keep rolling my hips into him, taking him deeper each time. Julian’s head is back and his eyes are closed and I know he’s really feeling me. I lean down and run my tongue across his lips. “I love you.” I whisper the words into his mouth.
His eyes flutter open and he looks at me from under hooded lids. Actually, he doesn’t look at me. He stares at me and it feels like he’s trying to read my mind. In the background, a different song comes on the radio, and when Julian hears it, he sits up straighter. His eyes soften as he looks at me and sings the lyrics to Romeo Santos’ Promise:
So promise me you’ll never be anybody’s but mine
I’ll give you my heart girl but you got to promise (Prometeme mami)
Promise you’ll hold me, oh touch me, love me, way past forever
My heart swells when I really listen to the lyrics and as Julian sings them to me, I begin to feel like he could’ve written this song for me. My hands had been pressed against the back of the seat on either side of his head, but when he repeats the words, “Prometeme mami,” I place one hand on his heart. I promise you’re the only man for me. I can’t imagine ever not loving you, Julian.”
He threads his fingers through mine and squeezes them softly. He’s still inside me and I’m still sliding myself up and down his thick shaft. It’s an incredibly intimate moment and I feel tears spring to my eyes as a rush of emotions flows through my body.
“I can’t imagine not ever loving you, Alexa. Ever.”
He puts his hands on my hips, holds me tightly to him, and starts thrusting more rapidly. I know he’s not interested in holding back anymore and he wants me to feel him. The pressure against my clit brings me to climax and as I do, Julian holds my gaze and climaxes with me.
I lie my head on his chest and catch my breath. His pulse is racing and he’s trembling a little. I pull back and look at him. “Good orgasm?”
I get his sexy Bauer smile in return. “Fuck yeah!”
I put my panties in my purse, pull my dress back down, and wink at him. The limo starts to slow down and I see we’re pulling up to my house. “We’re here and it’s late. I need to shower now and change.” Suddenly I’m feeling rushed.
“Don’t shower. I want you to feel me between your legs all night. And I’m sure you already planned what you want to wear so stop stressing out. Relax. Please.”
The thought of feeling the wetness of our orgasms for as long as possible is sexy. That he asked me to is even sexier. “Okay. No shower. Let’s go.”
We walk into the house and find my friends in the living room having some drinks. Marissa stands up and greets us. “You’re late. Go change and let’s go!”
I smile at her and start walking down the hall toward my room. “Stop being bossy, there was traffic.”
Julian joins them in the living room and I hear laughter as I shut the door. I can’t keep the smile off my face. This night is starting out great. I quickly change into the outfit I planned. It’s a dark-green silk shorts romper with a one-shoulder neckline. I wanted to wear something sexy that I could still dance in and this is it. The shorts are short and I know Julian is going to say something about my ass, but I don’t care. I look good in it. I dig around for the pair of black caged, Michael Kors leather booties I wore the first time I met him. I find them in a box at the back of the closet, slip them on, and grab some jewelry to match. I touch up my makeup and my hair, spritz on a little perfume, and join the others.
The first thing I notice when I walk in the room is the beer in Julian’s hand. He’s sitting on the couch talking to Cory about college football and looks so relaxed, and so young. He looks so happy. Well, he looks happy until he sees what I’m wearing. It seems the first thing Julian notices is the length of my shorts. I watch his expression change the minute I turn around to take the drink Jenna is holding out for me. Judging by the look on his face, he isn’t a fan of my outfit. To be honest, my shorts are short. Not hoochie mama short, but I really shouldn’t be bending over. He walks toward me and whispers in my ear, “As sexy as your ass is, I’d prefer to be the only one who gets to see it tonight.”
“Then stand behind me and you’ll be the only one looking, Julian.”
He glowers at me a little and smiles thinly. I know I’ve made my point. I take a sip of wine and kiss him playfully on the lips. “I won’t bend over, promise.”
“Oh you’ll be bending over tonight, later, over the couch with those sexy shoes on. I hope you know what you’ve started here.”
I whisper back, “Can’t wait,” and turn to face my friends. Marissa has an amused look on her face like she knows what we’re talking about. As we head out the door she confirms when she asks, “He’d rather your shorts be longer, huh?” and laughs. She says it loud enough for Julian, who is right in front of us, to hear. He looks back over his shoulder and smirks at us, “Exactly.”
He smacks me on the ass as I’m getting in the limo and I make sure to sit right where we just had sex and cross my legs. I know I’m waving the proverbial cape in front of a very horny man, but I can’t help myself. He’s fun to tease tonight. The mood in the limo is fun and festive as we continue to drink and talk about the night. Everyone is excited for dinner and the concert. I know Marissa is wishing Kevin was with us, and when I notice she’s a little reserved I try and cheer her up.
“Just a few more days, Mari.”
She smiles and nods. “I know. I can’t wait. I’m the only one not having sex and I’m over it. I’m horny too.”
Her comment stops all other conversation mid-sentences. Marissa doesn’t usually express herself that openly. Shannon laughs out loud and raises her glass.
“Here’s to you making up for lost time and having many, many orgasms over the next week.”
We all laugh and everyone offers up a toast to Marissa’s impending reunion. Julian leans into me and whispers, “I’ll toast to the many, many orgasms you’re going to be having tonight.” He nips at my ear lobe which sends a shudder down my spine. I raise my glass and smile. “Cheers to that!”
It doesn’t take long to get to the restaurant. Off the Hook is on the water near Bayside in downtown Miami. Danny, Gabby, and a few other friends of theirs I haven’t met are at the bar, waiting on us. The restaurant is packed but we get seated right away. The drinks are flowing and the food and service are amazing. Julian is chatting with everyone and is so relaxed. I really haven’t seen this side of him and realize there probably is a lot to learn about this man.
When the waitress takes Julian’s credit card before we’ve even seen a bill, I figure he probably made some arrangements with the owner prior to dinner. Danny is the first to ask for the check and when the waitress tells him it’s already been taken care of, he looks at Julian. Julian just nods subtly and a burst of protests fills the air.
“Thank you all for wanting to chip in. I’d expect nothing less. This night is part of Lexie’s belated birthday present and it’s on me. I know she’s been looking forward to tonight for a while and is happy you’re all here. So enjoy it.”
There are a few more grumbles but nobody presses the issue anymore. As we get up to leave, the girls hug Julian and the guys shake his hand. The feeling of familiarity hits me and I smile in the knowledge he really does fit into my life in all the ways that matter. Tonight he’s one of the gang and it’s freaking awesome.
We all pile into the limo for the short drive to the arena and the party vibe doesn’t stop. Neither does Julian’s drinking. I’m pretty sure I’m going to be dealing with a drunk Julian tonight and because I really don’t know what that entails, I decide to slow down my own drinking. For a brief moment, I think about Brady and our party days. They were really fun until they weren’t fun anymore.
“Where’d you go, baby?”
Leave it to Julian to notice me lost in
my thoughts. “Nowhere. I’m here. With you. I promise.”
He leans forward and kisses me passionately. For a few minutes, I forget we aren’t alone and lose myself in the sweetness and possessiveness of his kiss. When he pulls back, I have to catch my breath. He puts his hand on my chin, looks deep in my eyes, and says, “God I love you,” loud enough for everyone in the limo to hear.
Julian doesn’t let go of me for a second as we make our way into the packed arena and down the steps to our front row seats. I’m giddy with excitement and can’t believe we’re here and sitting so close. The feeling in the arena is electric as the lights dim and Bruno Mars and his band come on stage, and it only gets better as the show goes on. He’s an incredible performer and everything sounds perfect. The music is soulful, sexy, fun, flirty, and only heightens the emotional state I’m in. We dance through the entire set and I can see everyone is having the same incredible time I am. I turn to Julian and wrap my arms around him. “Thank you so much! This is the best night I’ve had in so long and it’s all because of you. You’re so good to me and I don’t know if I always deserve it, but I want you to know how lucky I feel to have you in my life. You’re an amazing man.”
He smiles and hugs me back. “You’re welcome. The smile on your face is priceless, Corazón.”
I kiss him softly and turn back around as the sounds of Show Me begin to fill the air. A shudder runs through me when Julian places his hands on my hips and pulls me back against him. I feel him harden as I lean my head against his chest and sway my hips in time with his. I know he’s thinking about the night in the bathroom. It was so sexy. He’s whispering the words to the song in my ear and moving his hips into me in a slow, sensual motion.
A sexual charge bounces between us for the rest of the night and all the way home. There are suggestions to continue the party, but I shoot them down because I need to have Julian to myself. I need to have him on me. When we get to my house, I grab a few things, and hurry back to the now empty limo.
Julian slides down the back seat and pulls me close. The atmosphere is super-charged with sexual tension. Pure, hot, heat.
“Que llevas demasiada ropa.”
If he thinks I have too many clothes on, he needs to do something about it. “And what are you going to do about that?”
“I’m going to take them off and spend the next hour fucking you, Alexa. That’s what I’m going to do. Tienes un problema con eso?”
I turn my back to him so he can slide my zipper down. “I definitely do not have a problem with any of that.”
“Bueno. I can’t wait anymore. I’ve been hard for hours.”
Julian gets my romper, bra, and panties off in minutes, leaving me completely naked. I watch as he takes his own clothes off, so turned on by the thought of what we’re about to do in the limo.
“Touch yourself. Show me how turned on you are.”
His words stoke the fire that’s been burning in me for hours. I do as I’m told and move my hands between my legs. I gasp when I feel how wet I really am.
“That’s so sexy, baby. You’re so beautiful.” Julian’s erection is on full display as he watches the circular movement of my fingers sliding over my clit. I start to climb on top of him, but he stops me and turns me around. I giggle sexily and get into a position where I can slide him into me while I sit backward on his lap. I shift a little which allows him to go all the way in, deeply.
“Fuck. You feel so warm, so tight. I want you to ride me, baby. I want to be all the way in you.”
I lean forward a little, put my knees on the sides of his legs, my palms on his thighs, and start to move myself up and down his shaft. It feels too good. His moans spur me on. “Sí, asi.”
“You like this? Does it feel good?” He’s hard as a rock and moaning with pleasure. But I still want to hear it.
“It feels amazing.” Julian repeats his praise as he reaches around and starts to massage my full breasts. When he squeezes my nipples, I feel a burst of heat as a small orgasm rolls through my core.
“Mmm. You just made me cum a little, baby.”
“A little, huh. Well hold on, Corazón because we’re just getting started.”
I didn’t mean to issue a challenge, but Julian took it that way and the next hour is spent with him being on me and in me and all over me in almost every way possible. His tongue, his fingers, and his hands have touched every inch of my body. I begin to wonder where his orgasm is when I have my third courtesy of his tongue. I’m not sure I can take it much longer. He’s wearing me out.
“I think we may be nearing the last page of the Kama Sutra, Julian. It’s your turn to cum.”
I haven’t really gone down on him yet because each time I start, he stops me and takes me in a new position. I get on my knees on the floor of the limo and get in between his legs. I take his shaft in my hands and stroke him firmly while I make eye contact. “Your turn.”
“Mmm. Okay, if you insist. It may be time for me to cum.”
I can’t help but laugh. “It’s past time. Now sit back and enjoy the rest of this ride. I’m going to take care of you now.”
Chapter 24
I’m in the middle of a nonsensical dream about decorating the limo to look like my bedroom when I’m yanked out of sleep by the sound of the phone ringing. I reach for my phone and quickly see it isn’t mine. I roll over and find a soundly sleeping and lightly snoring Julian next to me.
“Your phone keeps ringing.”
He slowly rolls over and picks it up. I watch his face as he reads a text. He sits up and swings his legs over the side of the bed and shakes his head. He looks panicked and dials a number. I stay quiet, knowing something bad happened. I listen to the one-sided conversation as Julian walks into his closet to get dressed. He’s still talking as he heads to the bathroom. He looks flustered when he walks out.
“There was a small fire in one of the electrical closets this morning about an hour ago. They had to evacuate. Candace is there. They couldn’t get ahold of me. I have to go.” He walks around the corner and kisses me on the forehead. “I’ll call you later.”
“Let me know if there is anything I can do.” I say the words to his back as he hurries out of the room. I lie down and wrap myself back into the covers. Damn it. I feel so bad for him. I already know he’s beating himself up for sleeping in and not hearing the phone. The one night he totally lets go, relaxes and has fun, this happens. The Julian that’s going to come home is the one who can’t let go of anything for five seconds. But, I love that Julian too, so we’ll deal with it.
I try and go back to sleep but when I’m still awake an hour later, I call it quits and get up. After a nice long, hot shower I make myself some eggs and coffee and sit outside on the balcony. I call Marissa and recap our awesome night. We also talk about Kevin being home today. His plane lands after midnight so it’s technically tomorrow, and I can hear the pure excitement in her voice. It makes me so happy for her. I offer to go with her to pick him up because it’s so late.
“I want him all to myself, but thank you. Come over after work tomorrow. Or come home should I say? You do still live here right?”
“Haha. I’m still paying rent aren’t I?”
“That’s a technicality. You should just move in there already and stop the back and forth.”
“Are you trying to get rid of me?”
The conversation has been very light until this moment and then her voice changes. “No. I’m just ready for all of us to be where we’re meant to be. You’re meant to be with Julian. I’m meant to be with Kevin and Shannon is meant to be with Cory. It’s time to make this all happen.”
“Well, I kind of need to wait until Julian is on board with that idea, and then I’ll move my shoes, okay?” I get what she’s saying and I couldn’t agree more, but it stirs up all the very fresh memories of why I’m not living here.
“That’ll happen any day. So, start thinking about how to share the closet, Lex.”
We laugh and talk a litt
le more before we hang up. I call my parents next and check in. My dad is feeling great and is actually out for a walk. My mom invites Julian and me to dinner. I let her know I’ll be there but that Julian is most likely a no.
As expected, Julian isn’t able to go to my parents with me. I get a call from him around three telling me what happened. It seems like some faulty wiring was the cause of the fire. Nobody was hurt and there wasn’t much damage, but the sprinklers did go on and make a huge mess. He’s having to deal with a lot of worried customers and I know he’s in total crisis management mode. He does tell me Ruben came in today to help and I actually hear the relief in his voice. Ruben’s absence over the last five weeks has been hard on him. Julian doesn’t trust anybody like he trusts Ruben, and I’m happy he’s back on board at the hotel. He tells me not to expect him any time soon so I head to my parents’ alone.
My mom made one of my favorites, lemon chicken, and I enjoy it with them. My dad looks and seems like himself. I have such a nice night with them that I’m left wondering if all of this bad stuff really just needed to happen. There have been some very profound changes in our family dynamic and I can’t imagine it all happening without the universe telling us we needed each other. Deep thoughts for a Sunday evening I know, but I can’t help it. Talk about a roller coaster ride. I’m ready to sit on the proverbial bench outside the amusement park for a little while and catch my breath. I’ve earned it.
Julian isn’t home when I pull in at eight. I’m a little sad. We had an amazing day yesterday and I selfishly would’ve loved to bask in the glow of it for a little while longer. Now the day is almost over, and I’m sure he’ll be exhausted when he gets home. I’m in the bathtub, surrounded by bubbles, candles, a playlist full of my favorite relaxing songs and a glass of Pinot Grigio when a haggard-looking Julian walks in. He takes his clothes off and drops them in a heap without saying a word. I sit up and let him climb in behind me. I settle in between his legs and lean back as he wraps him arms around my waist. I hear and feel him exhale.
