At Crown, I would like to thank Tina Constable, my former publisher, for her zealous interest in the book and supreme effort in acquiring it. My former editor and current friend, Rick Horgan, made a tremendous contribution to The Witch of Lime Street, beginning with bringing the book to Crown and continuing to this day. I am deeply grateful to him for his remarkable eye and pen, valued suggestions, and for his unwavering belief in both the material and the author. I would also like to thank my publicist, Dyana Messina, for her sage advice, intense dedication, and prodigious campaign, and the extraordinary marketing team of Danielle Crabtree and Jay Sones for bringing their zest, creativity, and unique talents to the project. Erica Melnichok has also been outstanding in her marketing role. Claire Potter has been thoroughly involved with the book and I am grateful to her for her warm support, keen responsiveness, and superb skills. Robert Siek has been masterful in keeping the project on track. Rachelle Mandik’s copy edits were extremely helpful as were Nathan Roberson’s editorial suggestions. I would like to thank Derek Gullino and Annsley Rosner as well, and David Drake and Maya Mavjee for their overall leadership. And I am deeply indebted to Molly Stern, my publisher, for her trust and strong direction, for making all the right decisions, and for enthusiastically supporting the project at a critical time. I have been lucky enough to work with not one, but two outstanding editors. Domenica Alioto has been a godsend, and I would be lost without her insight, passionate engagement, friendship, efficiency, and sustaining spirit. She is everything a writer could possibly hope for in an editor and a champion of books.

At Janklow and Nesbit I would like to thank Stephanie Koven, Lynn Nesbit, Cullen Stanley, Dimitri Chitov, Michael Steger, and Lenore Hoffman. At William Morris Endeavor I have come to depend on the wise, reliable, and always good-natured Svetlana Katz. Eve Attermann, Erin Conroy, and Ashley Fox have been of tremendous help. And finally I would like to thank my brilliant and incomparable agent, Tina Bennett, for discovering and developing the project and for bolstering it at every stage with her wonderful energy. Tina had the magical ability to turn an obscure film idea into a valuable literary property and I have no doubt that were it not for her, I would still be reading natal charts, rather than writing books, for a living.
