“My fire is nicer than yours,” Eloden said.

I turned my head and attempted to glare at Eloden, but he was in shadow. “I take it back after you bit me and it hurt,” I muttered.

“Do you like being Aeric’s Brat better?” Dain said, licking my wrist until his tongue met my pulse. He sucked the soft, fine skin into his hot mouth.

“Better than a Princess,” I said.

“I came up with a little Mouse, too,” Kheelan said.

“I hate all of your names,” I said. I didn’t think I needed to add I hated him, too.

“You screamed my name prettily while I played with your lovely tits,” Kheelan reminded me.

“You are an arrogant prick,” I said. Dain bit my wrist where he had been sucking, and I gasped. “Aeric is the one that made me scream.”

“Princess, next time I put my mouth on you we’ll revisit this conversation.”

I squirmed again, wanting to turn around and give Kheelan a real set down. This position made me way too vulnerable. “I’ll make you scream my name first, prick.”

“Falin thinks you’re too innocent to play with us, Baby.” Dain’s voice was less angry and more aroused, his breathing heavier and the endearment punctuated by a groan. All I had given him was a few inches of one wrist and he was panting over me like I’d laid myself bare.

“I’m sure he calls all the ladies Baby,’ I said, grouping him in with Eloden.

“Just you,” Falin said, reminding me he was close. “Tell us the truth, Baby. Are you really this shy or have you never been fucked?”

I had looked back up at him to glare and he caught my shocked look at his vulgar question. The carnal intent in his eyes brought out a blush to my cheeks, damning me.

“Well, minx. I suppose we have the right endearment now,” Dain said. “So provocative with your sassy mouth and sweet body. I wonder which of us is going to enjoy your first time?”

  “It’s not a competition,” I protested. “I’m not interested.”

Dain chuckled, hot air puffing against my curled fingers. “Those are fighting words,” he said, grabbing my hands. I let him, knowing he wasn’t going to hurt me now. He pulled them off my jeans, spreading them to my sides. Falin reached down and grabbed them before I could change my mind, bringing my hands over my head and holding them gently.

“Just get this over with so I can sleep,” I muttered, faking nonchalance.

  “Not the right word, minx.”

“Yes, Dain,” I added with frustration and heard a pleased murmur of acknowledgement, which was why I was surprised when he sat up above me, removing his pleasant heat and seductive touch.

“Think about it thoroughly,” Dain advised me. “Agree to my Claim and you will have someone to bind your Marks instead of all five of them nipping at your skirts when they should be guarding you against strays.”

“Well, if you told me that the Claim would provide me with the stick to rap my Marks on their noses earlier, then I would have agreed sooner and with more enthusiasm.”

Eloden laughed. “Sweetheart, you’re worth a little pain.”

I thought Dain would get it over with now and bite me, but he only bent back over me and crawled a little further up my body, dipping his head to the low of my back and licked. I arched against him, pulling against Falin’s grip.

“What are you doing?” I asked. “The Claim goes on my neck.”

“The Marks need to be visible but I can place your Claim anywhere you like, and a tender morsel like you has to be prepared slowly,” Dain said, licking higher up my back.

“The neck is where I please,” I directed him, not letting myself get lost in the thought of him putting his bite on one of my thighs before he used his mouth to devour the ache between them.

“You taste like sweet capitulation, beg me more,” Dain whispered against my back.

“I wasn’t begging and I didn’t agree to this... stop licking me,” I said. “Bite me, Mark me, Claim me or whatever, but do it.”

Dain’s hands gripped my waist, thumbs spanning around to dig into the tight muscles just above my hip bones. I could picture him doing it while taking me hard, leaving little bruises from his domination. I gasped as arousal squeezed me.

“We didn’t make a bargain, minx.” He nibbled and sucked my skin, no doubt leaving hickeys that I couldn’t explain away in such an impossible position. I tried to rock away from his kisses but that movement made everything ache more.

“Don’t think I’m going to forget that this will hurt, on purpose,” I said. “You can’t distract me.”

I wasn’t going to last if he kept on playing.

Dain’s hands shifted up my sides, snaking up my body to cup under my breasts. “Are you ready for it?” he asked. My nipples hardened, wondering what it would feel like to have his big hands on them.

“Hurry up,” I ordered. For the second time tonight I was fighting back orgasm and Dain hadn’t even gotten his fangs into me yet.

He surged up my body, his naked chest brushing against my back and shoulder blades so his hot skin burned me almost unpleasantly. I hoped he was already unglamoured or this was going to be an even more painful experience than I had imagined.

“Close your eyes if you want to retain your innocence,” Dain warned.

Of course, I kept my eyes open. Falin stared right at me but didn’t say a word.

The power behind me did intensify, but strangely, the burn never quite hurt. I found myself pushing up against Dain’s heavier body as much as Falin’s hold on me would allow. Dain’s biceps flexed beside me as I hit his hard chest, shifting the iron bands circling his arms against my skin. They didn’t burn, either, simply warmed from lying on his skin.

“Is she watching?” Dain asked. His voice had changed, the English sounding rough in his baritone that was meant for the lyrical Fae.

“Yes,” Falin answered. So much for keeping my secret.

A wing came around to touch me. It was very different from the previous one Dain had shown me, still black as soot but iridescent like dull ash could never gleam, a feather tickling my nose that looked like it had been dipped in a midnight paint with a hint of metallic stars and not allowed to dry. His real wings were for a dark, avenging angel.

He really was Lucifer, I crazily thought.

This time I didn’t feel pressure and fear. His magic was undeniably strong, but I felt like it cocooned me as his wings tried, protecting me instead of attacking.

“Hold on,” Falin said, giving my hands a reassuring squeeze.

I tightened up, prepared to feel pain.

Dain’s biceps turned to rocks beside me as he bit my neck next to Falin’s Mark. He had licked me first, so I only felt the pressure of his fangs and then nothing else. Dain’s body spasmed over mine as if he was being electrocuted. I remembered Eloden’s bite and could sympathize.

  “Accept it,” Falin said.

“The pain?” I asked, worried as Dain continued to shake over me.

“His Claim,” Falin said. “The magic won’t release him until you submit.”

Dain had lied about the pain. It wasn’t meant for me, just him.

“I accept,” I said, closing my eyes and pushing up against the fangs buried in my neck, welcoming them.

Dain released me with a final shudder. His wings disappeared, and he rolled over onto his back beside me. “Ouch, fuck,” he whispered when my worried face appeared over his pained one, wiggling free of Falin’s grip.

I smacked him right on his tattooed pec. “You... you made me think I was going to be eaten, great ravaging bites that would make me scream in pain.”

Dain’s golden eyes flicked up to mine, one big hand catching my wrist before I could slap his chest again to chastise him further. “Hit me once more and I will make you scream, minx.”

Cool hands grabbed me by my ankles and I slid down the bed, away from Dain.

“The Claim is witnessed,” said Kheelan’s annoyingly beautiful voice. Why couldn’
t that prick be less perfect? I tried to kick him in the balls, and when that failed, I twisted and aimed for his throat.

Kheelan caught my leg, as quick as Dain, and this time I slid on my back towards his angry face. There was about thirty seconds of cursing, wrestling and some hair pulling before he ended up on top of me, legs tangled and his hands holding mine prisoner above my head.

I smiled up at Keelan’s rapidly blackening eye. “Falin? I would like to go to bed now,” I said.

Kheelan pressed a soft kiss against my lips, closed mouth. I didn’t respond, although he had the most kissable lips just like Aeric. Unlike his brother, he kissed me with his eyes open, those piercing blues picking up every nuance of my reaction. I might not kiss him back, but it was hard to control my breathing and I couldn’t do anything about what my eyes spoke.

“Your dragon isn’t always going to be around to guard his treasure,” Kheelan whispered, trailing brushing kisses along my cheek until he reached my ear. He nibbled and found a weakness. I gasped.

“Get off,” Falin grumbled, much closer.

“Only warning,” I said, egging Falin on.

Kheelan looked up and snarled at Falin, his pretty features managing to look rather fierce. “She’s mine tomorrow,” he said.

“I’ll never be yours,” I said and reached up with my head to fasten my mouth onto his chest. I bit hard enough to leave my own Mark, making sure I held on for at least five seconds.

Blue eyes looked down at mine with shock.

“I told you no biting,” Aeric said, angry. Definitely angry. He was trying to pull his brother off me.

“Go fuck yourselves,” I told them, completely fed up. “I’ll bite all of you bastards back one at a time.”

“Falin put her over your knee,” Dain ordered. “She wants a real spanking, after all.”

I fought it but unlike Kheelan I didn’t get one good blow in before I was face down on Falin’s lap, my legs scissored between his and a strong forearm over my back by my shoulder blades, holding my hands bound tightly at the wrists.

“She doesn’t understand,” Eloden said. He was the only sane one here, apparently.

“Aeric warned her about biting,” Dain said, sounding more frustrated than angry.

“Don’t bite isn’t really a warning, more a recommendation,” I said. “I bit Falin and he didn’t complain.”

“Not helping yourself, Baby. Although it was too quick of a nip to count.”

“Let me up. This is stupid,” I complained.

“I’ll make it hurt good, Baby.”

“I’ve never been spanked,” I whined, getting worried. Earlier with Dain didn’t really count. It had been more a smack on the bum.

“What a boring life we’ve saved you from, minx. No fucking, no spanking and I suspect, nobody you felt free to push your limits without fear,” Dain said.

“I’m really not ready for all that excitement,” I pleaded.

“I’ll make an exception for your ignorance and the number of Marks you took tonight,” Dain said. “Next time one of us put you over the knee, you will receive twelve hard swats to start as owed for this spanking.”

Falin didn’t let me up. I wiggled. “I want to go to bed,” I told him.

“Not yet,” Dain said. “You won’t obey unless you understand the consequences.”

“Spankings hurt,” I said. “I’m not dumb.”

I was still riding the adrenaline rush from anticipating a painful Claim without delivery of any real hurt and the arousal Dain had peaked again without finishing it off properly. To be honest, my wet panties promised that another few smacks like earlier were going to send me rocketing off my climax and I didn’t want the rest of them discovering my provicilities yet.

“I believe you told me harder earlier, minx?”

“That was a mistake,” I admitted.

“Pull her pants down,” Dain ordered Falin.

I twisted and fought another losing battle, knowing my penchant for sexy lingerie was as embarrassing as dark red lipstick from the pharmacy, except this secret habit was about to be revealed. Some people spend their spare money on knickknacks or sweets. I splurged on custom lingerie as sensual as my fantasies. I might not have a sex life but that didn’t mean I couldn’t imagine one to burn up my sheets.

Eloden’s muttered, “Oh, fuck, Sweetheart,” confirmed that every Fae except for sleeping Orin was getting a prime look at my ass in a matching thong to my demi-bra.

“I suppose we can leave these on,” said Falin, stroking his fingers along the lacy edge lining one buttock. “Although, they would look just as sexy bunched around your knees.”

  “Three,” Dain ordered.

“Wait,” I said. “I didn’t agree to this.”

“You were told not to bite,” Aeric said. I thought he was on my side after the woods, feeling slightly betrayed.

“Or else I get spanked? Nobody mentioned that earlier,” I protested. “Kheelan’s the one that started it.”

“You wanted to know more about Fae culture, Princess?” Kheelan said. “We males guard treasured females like yourself. Our world doesn’t permit mistakes and our lessons must be reinforced before harsher consequences result from disobeying the rules set for your safety.”

“Make me write lines then,” I said with desperation.

“You might enjoy being spanked, although this isn’t going to be one of those times, Sweetheart,” Eloden said. “Fae males know many types of spankings and I wouldn’t mind showing some less punishing ones to you myself.”

“Another time, perhaps?” I said, squirming on Falin’s lap. I should be scared but my arousal was mixed up with my kinky fantasies and Eloden’s offer wasn’t helping. This was going to be a punishment. They had made that clear.

  “Stop delaying,” Dain said.

“Can’t we bargain about this?” I yelled.

“No more bargains,” they all told me as Falin started to rain down his blows.

I told the lizard I wasn’t ever going to talk to him again as my right buttock turned fiery from the first swat.

I told Dain he could shove his prince of darkness shtick where the sun didn’t shine because I was allergic to feathers after the second swat fired up my left.

Kheelan I blamed for everything as the last swat landed on both sides equally right at the seat of my pants, hardest of them all and wrenching a yelp from me.

Falin released me as soon as it was over. I had been squirming on his lap through the short punishment and fell to my knees without his support, tangled up in my tight jeans. I struggled out of them while shooting Kheelan a sullen look.

“Not Fae enough to deliver your own punishment?” I taunted.

“He can’t reprimand you for giving something that you are not ready to offer,” Dain said. “The restriction is specifically about the bite, minx, so don’t think you are free to keep testing his control.”

Falin stood up so all four of them towered over me on my knees. I finally yanked my feet free from my jeans with a grunt. Falin bent down stroking a hand over my still hot, tender ass. “You have no idea how tempting you look on your knees freshly spanked, Baby. Let’s get you up before your sassy mouth gets you into more trouble.”

I wanted to shove Falin away, still angry at his participation, but the comfort of his arms was irresistible. I let him pick me up and asked him to take me over to my dresser, so I could put on a sleep shirt and shorts. I put them on right there, figuring there was nothing worth hiding now. With another glance confirming they were all watching, I shrugged myself out of my bra under my sleep shirt and reached behind myself to unbuckle it.

“Do you need help?” Falin offered.

I smiled at him and it wasn’t nice. “You already took off enough of my clothes for tonight.” I looked over at Orin. “If you want to sleep with me, I expect you to keep your hands above my shoulders.”

Falin backed me into the dresser. “That means I can kiss your mouth until it’s as tender as y
our cute little bum. I can kiss you all night, Baby, a thousand different ways while I mess up those Fae braids with my hands above your shoulders.”

“I have to work tomorrow,” I announced.

He pouted like I had told him I had a headache. Too bad for his seductive plans. Shouldn’t have spanked me. I pushed Falin back and crawled on the bed myself, snuggling up to Orin. He felt cool, but it was pleasurable, like slipping between silk sheets as I wrapped myself around his side, lying next to his shoulder. I didn’t want to put too much pressure on his wound, cognizant that he had been sleeping quite deeply while we all carried on making a racket. No matter how light the other Fae made of his wounds this had been a serious injury.

“Is he going to be okay?” I asked Falin as he took his place behind me, spooning and pulling a light comforter over us.

“He would be ashamed to know you doubted him,” Falin said. “Aeric spelled him into a healing sleep so the wound should be knitted by tomorrow.”

  “Who did it?” I whispered.

“The reason you were Marked and Claimed so thoroughly today.”

I shivered and let myself settle back against Falin’s body furnace. Thankfully, the aching arousal they had all left unfulfilled was easing with the tension in my body. Falin was better behaved than he had threatened, a pleasant warmth that I wanted to hide against.

“Whoever it was shouldn’t have messed with my pretty boy,” I groused. “I’m going to learn to fight back.”

Falin lifted my head tucking it into his shoulder. “I know you will,” he whispered into my hair.

Sleep came slowly as I wondered who could hurt Orin and frighten the other Fae. Dain said he was a dark monster. Falin was a dragon according to Kheelan and I believed him. Eloden was a foxy trickster. Aeric and Kheelan were every hard inch deadly warriors with an assassin's coolness. Orin could place a spell with just a touch.

I had to prepare for what was coming. Weapons training was only the beginning. I wanted knowledge and respect.

This little mouse had it in her to roar.

  Chapter 16:

FALIN HAD SOMEHOW MANAGED to mess up my braids while we were sleeping. Kheelan’s disgusted sigh woke me up to the predicament. It was barely dawn by the light coming through my window, but my Fae alarm clock was telling me to get up.
