Shay and Kia moved away and came to Cass. “We’re not needed here anymore. Aaron’s eyes have been opened and he will continue to see the truth now,” Kia said.
“And his mates will help heal the rest of his soul,” Shay added.
“So that’s what you do?” Cass said. “That was incredible.”
“Only part of what we can do,” Kia replied. “Aaron was pretty easy. A lot of the time, I need to take the person on the journey with me so that they will believe. Most need to see things for themselves to understand. When I do that, I much prefer to take them while they are asleep and we go in astral form. Less of a chance of things going wrong.”

Cass bolted upright with a silent scream on his lips. His breath was coming in pants, his heart was racing, and sweat was rolling down his face and bare skin. He looked around frantically but didn’t know what he was looking for. The room had a soft blue glow as light from the moon shone through the overhead skylight and the large window behind him. This is always how it was when he awakened in the night. He was in a frightened panic, with no memory of what his dream had been about.
A soft moan came from beside him. Cass turned his head, looking for its source, and found Kia fast asleep. A small smile came to his lips. He turned in the other direction to find Shay, curled up on the other side, his hands tucked under his chin and sleeping peacefully. His mates were so adorable.
After they had helped Aaron, the three of them had gone down to dinner, then spent the evening with the family in the game room as everyone just hung out and had some fun. After, he and his mates returned to their suite and made love for a few hours before falling asleep together. But now here he was, sweating profusely and feeling scared, and not knowing why.
All he did know was that he wouldn’t be able to get back to sleep. He never could on nights like this. It didn’t happen every night, but at least three to four nights a week. It had always been this way, since as long as he could remember.
Cass slid down the bed carefully, not wanting to wake his mates. He grabbed up his boxer briefs and slid them on, then found his discarded shirt and used it to wipe his face, before tossing it into the nearby hamper and walked into his private kitchen. He grabbed a bottle of water from the fridge then quietly made his way back through the room. Taking a peek at his mates, making sure they were still asleep, he headed for the spiral staircase.
Like he did on every night like this, he climbed to the loft above and sat on the couch in the glass atrium he had built extended out from the loft. He dropped back onto the sofa, relaxing into the plush cushions, and propped his feet up on the coffee table.
Cass was there for over an hour just staring out into the night, watching the tops of the trees sway with the light wind. Clouds were rolling in, blocking out the moon, and a few snowflakes hit the glass roof. The sky lightened infinitesimally, alerting Cass that a snowstorm was just about upon them. He hoped it wasn’t too bad and just a normal dusting to a few inches.
“Is that snow?” Shay’s soft voice came to him and Cass looked up over his head to find his mate wrapped in a blanket, approaching the sofa. Shay moved around to the front and sat beside Cass, curling his legs beneath him and cuddling up against Cass’s side. He laid his head on Cass’s shoulder.
“Looks like we’re getting a storm. I didn’t mean to wake you, sweet pea,” Cass whispered and kissed the top of Shay’s head as he wrapped an arm around Shay’s shoulders.
“You didn’t. I rolled over and felt a cool spot on the sheets and it made me shiver. When I opened my eyes to grab a blanket, I saw that you were gone. I waited a few minutes but you didn’t come back. Then I heard you breathing softly up here and I smelled the snow. I’ve only ever seen it snow once before and it was so beautiful. I figured this would be a great place to watch it without freezing to death.”
Cass smiled as he continued to look out the windows, the snow beginning to fall heavier. “Very true. This is a great place to watch the snow fall. I love coming up here to watch storms, especially thunderstorms as the lightning flashes across the sky.”
“Mmm, that sounds like fun. I can’t wait to see my first thunderstorm from here,” Shay said and cuddled up closer.
“Is there room for me?” Kia asked as he walked around the other side of the sofa, also wrapped in a blanket, and plopped down next to Cass. Cass opened his arm wide, inviting Kia in. His little mate matched Shay’s position on his other side. Cass wrapped his arm around Kia, kissing his head.
“I like this,” Cass said softly and sighed.
They sat there watching the snow blow around outside and land on the glass above them until the sun lightened the sky. Cass heard two small snores and knew his men had fallen back to sleep. His men. He smiled at how wonderful he felt, how comfortable and content, then closed his eyes and let sleep claim him.

A few hours later, Shay entered the kitchen hand in hand with his mates, to find the rest of the family already sitting to breakfast. Cass led them to the table and pulled out chairs for them, then took his own between them. He filled their plates, then his own, and they ate slowly as they listened to the conversation around the table. Shay noticed that Aaron and his mates weren’t present.
“Is Aaron okay?” he asked.
“Yes, Aaron’s fine,” Jesse said. “He and his mates went to visit Storm, Bastian, and Noah last night and although Noah could have made a portal to get them home, they decided to stay overnight because of the storm and meet up with us later.”
“I hope that means he and Storm are okay,” Cass said.
“Rory called last night to tell us they were staying and not to worry and he was very happy. He said Aaron and Storm were laughing and playing and having the time of their lives. That’s why he and the others didn’t want to interrupt them to come home.”
Cass smiled wide. “That’s great. I’m so glad for them.”
“And we hear it’s thanks to you two,” Taylor said to Shay and Kia.
Shay smiled shyly. “We just did what we do.”
“Well, whatever you did, you did wonderfully, thank you,” Micah replied with a loving smile.
The meal continued as everyone started talking about the day’s events. It seemed Dante’s new home was complete and everyone was planning to help him and his family move in there today.
“Can we help, Castiel?” Kia asked in a whisper as he leaned in close to Cass.
Their mate turned to Kia and gave him a gentle kiss. “Of course we can, sweet pea.”
After breakfast was cleaned up, everyone went off to get ready to go. Once they were all dressed for the cold outside, they made their way to the vehicles out in the driveway. Shay found this very strange since a few of the others could open portals and the vampires could just disseminate, but he let the questions go and just followed what everyone else was doing. He and Kia climbed up into Cass’s large truck and were pleasantly surprised to find the front seat was a bench seat and they could both sit up there with Castiel. Kia let Shay in first, then slid in next to him. They both put on their seatbelts as Cass walked around the front and got in the driver’s side. Once they were all settled, Cass pulled the truck in behind the line of vehicles leaving.
After driving for almost a half hour, they pulled up to a gate like the one surrounding the pack house, then drove down a long lane. All the cars pulled up into the circular driveway and stopped before a grand three-story mansion made of beautiful granite bricks. Shay was a little confused that no one had any suitcases or boxes or anything in their hands, but he let it go and just grabbed onto Cass’s hand and followed.
Dante opened the door and stepped in with his mates at his sides, who were each holding one of his twin sons. They stepped aside and welcomed everyone into their new home. Shay stepped into a grand foyer with a huge chandelier of gold and crystal hanging above his head. His vision wavered and swirled, and the sight before him changed.
Suddenly he was looking around a
gorgeous, bright, and airy home, with marble floors, an open plan living room with a large fireplace to one side and a very large table that matched the one at the pack house, to the other side. A large gourmet kitchen sat beyond that. One wall was made of glass and the sight beyond the glass had Shay confused and excited.
A large built in pool surrounded by a gorgeous brick patio with lounge chairs. Beyond that was a beautiful sandy beach, with the whitecaps of waves rolling toward the shore and crashing gently. Palm trees were scattered about, their large leaves swaying in a gentle breeze, and the sun shone bright in a crystal clear cloudless blue sky. The whole scene was postcard picture perfect.
Shay was pulled back and his vision cleared. He found himself standing beside his mates as everyone moved into the foyer with the grand chandelier. Once the door was closed, Dante spoke. “Are we all here?”
Everyone nodded with big smiles on their faces and Dante looked to Ryland, the king of the fae. He and a few of the fae warriors began to chant and a large golden portal opened. Dante and his mates stepped through and everyone followed. Cass pulled Shay and Kia along. They stepped through, and right into the other house Shay had just seen in his vision. The sun was shining bright outside the windows, lighting the house up. Everyone removed their heavy winter outerwear and left it on a bench by the front door.
“We want to welcome you all to the new Calabrese Coven house,” Dante called out. “As you know, a lot of my people have already moved in and have stocked up the place. So, all of you make yourselves at home and let’s get this house warming party started. We’ll do a tour later, but for now, who’s in charge of the barbecue?”
Another portal opened and Aaron, Raith, Rory, Storm, Sebastian, Noah, and three adorable babies, along with a ton of other people, stepped through.
“Great, now that the family is almost all here, let’s have some fun,” Dale announced.
Everyone moved toward the rear of the house where the large glass wall was and exited a door Shay hadn’t noticed before. They spilled out onto the patio beyond. Shay tugged on Cass’s hand, stopping him. Cass and Kia turned to face him.
“I’m confused. When we stepped into that other house, I had a vision. I saw this beautiful place, but I don’t know where we are. What is this?” he asked.
Cass smiled and kissed his cheek. “It’s magic at its best, sweet pea. It’s like the old ball under the cup game, or bait and switch. Everyone in the paranormal world now believes all the council members live in Sanctuary, and that’s what the council wants them to believe. But having them all in one place, in such close proximity, is dangerous. So now that Dante, Vik, Nicco, and most of his vampires can walk in the sun, thanks to Demi, they wanted to be somewhere sunny. They have spent thousands of years in the dark, and want to enjoy the light. That’s why it took so long to build Dante and his family their new home, because they had to find the perfect place to build this one, and not by magic. It had to be built by humans so no questions would be asked. The other one built in Sanctuary is to fool anyone sniffing around. All who see it will believe that that is the Calabrese Coven, but thanks to Ryland’s magic, now whenever any of us walks into that home, and close the door, we will automatically be transported here. To the real coven house.”
“That’s amazing,” Kia said.
“But what if someone else gets into the other house?” Shay asked.
“Then they will find a home that looks lived in and find vampires from the coven actually living there. Some have chosen to stay in Sanctuary always. Some have been appointed to stay there, and others who chose not to be able to walk in the sun, need to stay there. Nicco will be heading up that house. But this is safer for everyone. If Sanctuary is attacked and the council is wiped out, Dante and Dare would still be here and they could continue on,” Cass explained.
“That is so smart. So where exactly are we?” Kia asked.
“On a private island that Dante and Micah bought in the Caribbean.”
“Wow, so we woke up in Pennsylvania with a snow storm and stepped through a portal into a beautiful sunny day in the Caribbean. That is so cool. You gotta love magic,” Shay said with a laugh.
“Hey, Papa Dante! How often can I come and visit?” A cute young man called out.
Shay turned to see where the voice was coming from and found another group had popped into the living room.
“You can come whenever you want, Milo. You are my son and this is your home, as well,” Dante said happily as he walked to the group and embraced Milo. Shay had never met these men, but he knew who they were from his visions. It was Maddy, Josh, Milo, Sage, Slade, Oliver, and Sage’s grandmother, Lillian. Shay smiled at the love he was witnessing as they were each welcomed and embraced by others. Slade looked a little uncomfortable and grunted a few times, but Shay could see he was happy, even though he was covering it up pretty well.
“Come on and I’ll introduce you to the rest of the family,” Cass said and tugged them across the room.

Kia had the most wonderful day swimming in the pool and the ocean with his mates, and lying on the soft sandy beach watching as some others played volleyball. He and his mates had even taken a nice long walk down the shore where they had found a nice area away from the others and had made love on the sand with the sun warming their skin. Then they went for a swim to wash off.
Castiel had introduced he and Shay to the rest of the family, including Papa Angel, his mate Evan, and all the boys that lived at their house. From some of the haunted looks Kia could see in those young men’s eyes, he knew he would have a lot of work to do to heal this family.
Everyone had been so nice and welcoming, and Kia felt like he was family already. Storm even gave him and Shay huge hugs, picking them up and spinning them around, thanking them for helping Aaron. He told them they could always come to him if they ever needed anything. His pride would always be their home, too.
They had now just returned home, after retrieving Castiel’s truck from the Sanctuary coven house. Castiel walked them to their room and they all immediately stripped off their clothes and made their way to the bathroom. Castiel walked to the large shower and turned on the water, checking it for the perfect temperature as Kia and Shay brushed their teeth.
“It’s all ready for us, loves,” Castiel said.
Kia finished and turned toward Castiel, who was just stepping under the spray. Kia stood there unmoving as he let his gaze roam over all Castiel’s gorgeous body from head to toe. Water cascaded down from his head, sliding along all those hard muscles covered in golden skin. Kia licked his lips in appreciation, wanting to lick every ridge of their mate’s solid form.
“He’s beautiful, isn’t he?” Shay asked as he stepped up beside Kia and took his hand.
“Yes. But he’s more than beautiful, he’s perfect.”
“I couldn’t agree more. Let’s go join our mate and love on him,” Shay said and pulled Kia toward the shower.
They stepped in and each went right to Castiel, surrounding him. Kia pressed his chest to Castiel’s back and placed his hands on his hips, as Shay pressed himself against Castiel’s wide chest and wrapped his arms around his neck. The water fell on all of them, making their bodies slick.
“Mmm. Now this is what I call a fantastic shower. My two incredibly beautiful mates joining me,” Castiel said in a deep, sexy voice, then claimed Shay’s lips in a passionate kiss.
Kia grabbed the bottle of body wash and poured some into his hands. He rubbed his hands together, getting a nice lather, then placed his hands on Castiel’s back and began to wash him. Kia loved feeling all those hard muscles flex and relax under his touch. He slid his hands up to Castiel’s neck, then down his broad shoulders, and thick biceps, before sliding back up the underside of his arms, and moving down Castiel’s sides to his hips. Kia’s hand glided over taut skin to Castiel’s muscled globes, and he washed the sexy, slightly furry cheeks. His slick hand slid between those gorgeous globes as Kia cleaned Castiel’s most
intimate spot.
“Mmm, feels good, my Kia. Don’t stop, baby,” Castiel growled.
The sound was so arousing, Kia’s cock jerked in interest. He gently rubbed the tight star and was shocked when his big, strong mate pushed his ass back, forcing Kia’s finger to slide into his hole. Kia froze. He didn’t know what to do. He did know what to do, of course, because he had done it to Shay enough times, but this was not Shay. Castiel was a big enforcer and surely would never bottom.
Castiel turned his head, looking at him over his shoulder, and giving Kia a sexy smile. Cass reached up with one arm and grabbed the back of his head. “Do it, sweet pea. Shove those fingers inside me and stretch me. Get me ready for your pretty cock. I want to feel you inside me,” Castiel said in a rough, husky voice, then pulled Kia’s head close and devoured his lips. Kia’s knees almost gave out on him from the intensity of the kiss. The fact that Castiel was willing to let Kia fuck him was a big, but welcomed, surprise. He had never in a million years thought that their enforcer mate, who was full of testosterone, would ever bottom.
“I believe a mating should be all of us sharing in everything with one another.” Castiel pulled back, releasing him, and met his shocked gaze.
Kia’s brows rose in surprise. “You do? You mean…”
“Yes, Kia,” Castiel answered simply, then turned back around and picked Shay up, pressing his back against the tiles, as Shay wrapped his legs around Castiel’s waist.
Kia was nervous as hell as he reached out a shaky hand and grabbed the bottle of lube they kept in the shower. He popped the top and poured some of the slick onto his fingers. Cass held his hand out. “Let me have some of that, baby. I’ll stretch Shay, while you open me up.”
Kia poured some on Castiel’s fingers then watched in fascination as Cass slid his hand under Shay and started playing with Shay’s ass. Kia absently put the tube back on the shelf, his head fuzzy and confused by this turn of events. His large mate, all hard, tough, and growly man, wanted him to fuck him.
