NYC Vamps: Vampire Romance

“I suppose I will have to take your word for it for now,” Alice replied, then a horrible afterthought hit her and she looked at him in with a stricken face.
“What? What is it, my love?” he said, rushing to hold her.
“I am only going to have one child, right? Just one boy? Not a litter like your brother’s brood?”
He laughed loudly, pulling her to him and smoothing her hair down with his hands as he struggled to stop chuckling to himself.
“Yes, only one boy. I promise.”
“Thank goodness,” Alice replied, breathing a huge sigh of relief.
Picking her up, he took her to the bed, laying her across it and undressing her slowly. He took his time with her, making love to her softly, his fingers exploring her swollen pregnant folds and caressing her ever rounding belly. His love for her was clear to see in a way that no other man had demonstrated and she closed her eyes, enjoying the way his touch felt against her skin.
She had never felt anything as wonderful as the way he felt inside her tender, swollen pussy. The pregnancy seemed to heighten her desire and make her more sensitive to touch. She felt as if she might shatter into orgasm from the moment he entered her and found that she wasn’t far from wrong, quickly erupting into a series of orgasms, each more powerful than the next.
“I can’t believe how you feel. I wish you could feel what it’s like to be inside of you,” he moaned against her skin.
“I can only imagine that it feels at least half as wonderful as it does to have your cock buried inside of me,” she replied, kissing his neck as he pushed further into her.
They made love for hours, his cock pulsing inside of her as he held her hands down on either side of her head. Alice loved how dominant, yet tender he could be. No one had ever taken her in the way that he had and she found that she enjoyed it more than she would have ever imagined possible. Whether it was how powerful he was or just the fact that she loved him in a way that she had never loved another, she couldn’t be sure, but he felt like no one had ever felt before.
“I love you so much, Alice. I want to be with you forever.”
“You will be. We will not only be together in this lifetime, but in all the lifetimes to come. I’m sure of it,” she breathed against his skin.
“I believe you,” he told her, burying himself deep inside her once again. Words were lost to sex noises that expressed anything more they needed to say to one another. Their bodies parted and collided in perfect time, meant for one another, built for one another. Alice was made for him, of that there was no doubt, just as there was no doubt he was made for her.
They made love long into the night, climaxing heavily before collapsing onto one another in the darkness, their bodies still tangled together as they fell asleep peacefully in one another’s arms. Alice drifted off to sleep with only a singular thought on her mind. How had she gotten so lucky to have fallen into a hole and fallen into his arms? Never in her life had anything felt as perfect as being here with this man, in this place. It was utter perfection.
A week later, Alice stood before him as every member of the kingdom looked on, gathered there to watch as they became man and wife. Alice’s dress barely covered the large bump in her belly, but it didn’t matter. It was no secret that she was expecting a child who would be a gift to all who had come to watch them join one another in wedded bliss.
Their wedding was nothing like the usual royal marriages you see across the lands. She wore only a simple lace dress and he wore a simple, somber suit. There weren’t throngs of bridesmaids or groomsmen, only she and he, gathered before a minister to say their vows.
“Bolstoy, do you take Alice to become your bride? Will you love her and cherish her, forsaking all others? Will you lay down your life to protect her own?” the minister asked.
“I do,” he replied, beaming down at her happily.
“Alice, will you take Bolstoy to be your own? Will you cleave unto him as a wife should her husband and only him, until all the days have ended and your body turns to dust?” the minister continued.
“I will,” she replied.
“Then I approve this marriage, with the blessings of the Lord above and join you as one. What you have found in one another, let no man sully. From this day forth, you will be man and wife, to live out your days in one another’s arms and hearts. You may kiss your Queen,” he finished.
A loud cheer arose from the gathered masses as Bolstoy leaned in and kissed her passionately, sending shards of longing throughout her body and making her want to skip the festivities and hide away with him in their chambers to make love for hours. He pulled away and smiled at her before taking her hand and turning toward the crowd, holding their clasped hands upward as a symbol of their union. The minister spoke loudly behind them, attempting to speak over the roar of the people looking on.
“Ladies and gentleman of this great kingdom, I present your King and Queen, rulers of this kingdom and the great beyond. Long may they reign!”
Another cheer went up from the crowd as the pair hurried away toward the great hall where a feast had been prepared in their honor. The night was spent talking among their many subjects and friends, as everyone had been invited to the royal event. It went on well into the early morning hours as everyone wanted to congratulate them and tell them just how much they were looking forward to the royal birth of the new shifter leader.
A very old woman approached Alice and touched her hand, telling her that she had known her grandmother, Elizabeth.
“Really? What was she like?” Alice asked.
“She was very much like you, my dear. Other than the difference in hair color, she looked a lot like you in her youth. I knew your grandfather, too. He was a great man, the King, and it broke his heart when she went away.”
“Do you know why she went away or how?” Alice asked.
“Yes, my darling child. It was a dark magic that took her from here, the work of the Evil Queen. Once a girl drops into this world, only very powerful forces can take her away and those are something the former Queen possessed. Your grandmother was trying desperately to get back to her love, to remain by his side, but she was detained by the shifters from the dark hills, a place where they get their powers from beneath the earth.”
“Is that where the Dirt Trolls took people, before they were expelled from the lands by my King?”
“No, that place, no one knows of it. Only the Dirt Trolls command it and no one ever returns. This place where the evil shifters dwell is a bleak land and those who have returned from journeys there are never the same. They go mad and destroy all in their wake.”
“Then there are more there, more that will come?”
“Yes, that is why it is important for your child to be born. Only he can end their evil ways and bring them into the light. He will possess abilities beyond anything anyone in our time has ever seen. Even your King cannot anticipate just how powerful he will become by the time he is of age. His twenty-fifth birthday will bring to him the world on a platter and how he commands it will be up to him. You must teach him only the good and beautiful ways so that he will understand how it is to rule a free and happy people. You must keep him far away from the black place so that he is never tainted by its wickedness.”
“I will. I promise you that. You, these people gathered here today and those who were unable to attend. I pledge to all of you that we will raise our son to be a leader that you all will love, that he will never harm his people or this land.”
“I hope you keep that promise. The changes have already begun with the new King’s reign, with the death of the evil shifters that were in power. It is truly the new day His Majesty promised us on the night that he took this kingdom and we only want to see that continue, to flourish.”
“As you shall,” Alice told her softly.
The woman said her goodbyes and disappeared into the crowd just as Bolstoy returned to Alice’s side, whispering softly in her ear, his lips brushing against it as he nuzzle
d it quietly.
“Is my Queen about ready to be bedded by her new husband?”
“I’ve been ready to be bedded by you almost from the instant I met you, have I not?” Alice giggled.
“Yes. I would say your behavior was quite scandalous if I wasn’t well aware of how difficult it must have been for you to resist me even for as long as you managed.”
“You are quite full of yourself, aren’t you?”
“Perhaps I am, but I think I would prefer that you be full of me instead.”
“Now, who is being scandalous?”
“Maybe so, but I’m not expected to behave like a lady.”
“Then you shouldn’t expect me to behave like one when I get you alone in our room.”
“Oh, I don’t. In fact, I’m looking forward to just how incredibly naughty I know you to be. Now, let’s stop talking and take our leave of these people. They will still be here tomorrow, and I have some animal urges to attend.”
Alice growled at him in a mock tone and giggled again as he whisked her away to their room where they consummated their union formally. It was as magical as a girl could have ever imagined in any fairy tale in any land.
Epilogue
Alice ran through the stems of the oversized flowers, followed by a flock of ladybugs that seemed content to follow her wherever she went and read to her beneath the shade the daisies provided once she grew tired.
“Alice, where are you?” Bolstoy called out, in close pursuit with their son on his shoulders.
“I’m here,” she replied, collapsing on a tuft of soft grass and waiting for them to catch up.
“How have you gotten to fast?” he sighed as they caught up to her and dropped to the ground beside her.
“I don’t know,” she replied, but she had her suspicions. Since their son had been born, she had felt like she was twelve again, full of energy and stronger than she had ever been in her life. Her mind was sharper and she moved like a gazelle.
“Don’t go too far,” Bolstoy called out as their son toddled off in the grass to play with a young hare who seemed terribly upset about something he had lost in the grass. She watched as the young boy lowered his hand to the ground and then slowly raised it, bringing up a shiny object with a chain attached. The hare shouted happily, snatching it from the air and thanking him profusely while also apologizing for having to run off.
“What is it with rabbits and watches in this place?” Alice mused aloud.
“I’m not sure, but I’ve never known one that wasn’t a terribly fussy creature, I have to admit,” Bolstoy laughed.
After a few steps forward as if to follow the rabbit, their son stopped and turned toward something else on the ground. He leaned down, quickly shifting into a small wolf pup with its nose to the ground and then he was off like a shot. Alice jumped up in an attempt to follow him in case he went too far, but Bolstoy pulled her back down.
“He will be just fine, Alice.”
“He is just a boy.”
“No. He is a lot more than just a boy. It’s a hard thing to accept and get used to, but he is already more cognizant of things in this world than you or I will ever be able to conceive.”
“What if someone attempts to harm him?”
“Things have changed, Alice. No one will bring him harm. Look around you. What are the killer flowers doing right now?”
Alice stopped and looked around. The flowers were bent toward them watching, but not in a menacing way. They seemed content and harmless. In fact, now that Alice listened closely, she realized that they were humming a simple little love song and the ladybugs had begun to sing along.
“I suppose you are right, but he is our only son. I’m not going to stop worrying just because you tell me to,” Alice replied.
“Of course you won’t. That is what makes you a good mother. I wouldn’t have you any other way, my love. In fact, I adore everything about you.”
“I am very glad to hear that. It’s very good news to know that you aren’t sick of me just yet.”
“Why would I ever be sick of you?”
“Well, I could get very big and fat. How would you like me then?”
“I would adore every single bit of you even if you were as round as the Cheshire Cat, when he’s not separated from his smile.”
“This is good to know because I plan on growing very round in the coming months.”
“What?” he asked, looking puzzled. Then it hit him and he beamed happily. “You are pregnant? Another child?”
“That is precisely right, King Leviton. You are about to have another little royal tot to chase around the meadows very soon.”
“This is fantastic. I can’t wait to meet him or her.”
“Her, definitely her.”
“Are you certain?”
“Yes. The royal physician says I am already almost three months along, and I’ve only begun to show the tiniest bit. Looks like this one will be baking for a bit longer than her brother.”
“I am so excited, my love. This is great news. I’ll have a grand feast prepared so that we can share the good news with all the land!”
“You really are something amazing. If anyone had told me that I would one day fall down a hole, meet a handsome stranger and become his queen, I would have laughed them out of the room. I always pictured myself rising to the top of some corporate ladder and conquering the business world as a fierce, independent woman.”
“And are you disappointed that you chose this life over that one?”
“Not the least little bit. I have everything a woman could ever want. A wonderful husband, a magnificent son who will achieve great things for his people and soon, a daughter to whom I will pass the compass when it comes time. You know, I still wonder one thing.”
“And what is that?”
“My grandmother passed the compass to me instead of my mother. I wonder why she skipped a generation?”
“I couldn’t tell you. I have wondered the same thing myself.”
“How old was your mother when she had you, Alice?” a tiny voice asked from nearby.
Alice turned to look at the ladybug that seemed to follow her everywhere she went from the day she had met her. Looking down at her incredible smile, the answer came to her and she wondered why she had never considered it before.
“My mother was twenty two. She had a girl before she was twenty-five and was unable to have more children. There was no need to pass the compass to her as she had found love and a child before her time. Of course!”
Alice lay back in the grass and marveled at all of the events in life that had led her to this place. Everything, good and bad, that had happened in her life and in the lives of those before her had led her to this magical world and this grand love. Life was better than she could have ever imagined. Bolstoy lay beside her and gathered her hand in his, each of them quietly watching a band of fireflies that had spotted them and begun to perform a sort of synchronized fly over above their heads. The peace was quickly disrupted as a small white wolf pup suddenly plopped between them and licked their faces before shifting into a boy and laying between them to watch the show.
THE END
Lion Shifter of Oz
Chapter 1
Delilah Harrington swore under her breath as she stumbled on the cracked steps leading up to her apartment building. Flipping one unruly tendril of hair from her face, she tried to collect herself and stop the world from spinning.
Humidity hung in the air, clinging to Delilah’s silk dress and making her skin feel sticky. She hated Boston in June. Hell, she just hated Boston.
“Are you sure you don’t want to come with me to the Emerald City? The DJ tonight is supposed to be beyond incredible. Plus, two-dollar cosmos and they never card.” Tammy begged with her eyes, while holding Delilah’s arm to steady her friend. But why did she keep glancing up at the window to De’s apartment?
“Nah. I’ve had enough for tonight. Finals start tomorrow, and it’s my last chance to pass Hollinder
’s class. If I don’t do that; I don’t get to junior year.”
Tammy snort-laughed, still holding her arm. “Um, you’re not in any shape to study. Either you pass or you don’t at this point, De. At least you can go out with a bang. Your parents will bribe you on to Junior year, just like they did last summer. Come on!”
De yanked her arm away and followed Tammy’s gaze up to the window again. WTF? “Why are you trying to get me away from here so hard?” she slurred. “Is it Patrick? Did he do something again? Shit. If he’s cheating…” De let her voice trail off as she forced her way up the remaining steps to the glass door that was never locked.
“Come on, De,” Tammy whined, but stayed at the bottom of the steps. “Screw him anyway. Let’s go pick up some real men.”
Delilah ignored her and stormed inside the building as much as someone drunk off her ass in stilettos could storm into a building. The metal stairs clanged as she yanked herself up floor by floor until she reached number four.
Being quiet was unnecessary, she realized after finally jimmying the door open on their studio apartment. A tornado wouldn’t have stopped Patrick when he was that far along. Delilah watched as his bare ass rose and fell between two legs stuck up in the air like flags waving shiny patent leather heels—strawberry-colored, of course. Because you couldn’t pick anything trashier.
Delilah shrieked, stalking forward and snatching every garment off the floor around the humping couple. A bra way too large and red for De, a leather mini-skirt, Patrick’s favorite T-shirt with his band’s logo on it, and a pair of thongs that matched the bra in color and material. She’d have grabbed Patrick’s pants, too, but they were down around his ankles.
“Wait,” the slut said, finally noticing her presence as she continued toward the same window Tammy kept glancing at. “What are you doing?”
Delilah didn’t pause because she knew Patrick well enough to know he wasn’t about to pause either. Using her shoulder, she forced the window open in one shove and tossed everything out.
