Waiting on April

The bruise even showed through the thick layer of concealer she had applied. He nodded and she replaced the shades. It was a bright enough day for her not to look too out of place in them anyway.

“You look nice.” He smiled at her encouragingly. She was wearing jeans and a really pretty floral top.

She smiled. It was a shame he couldn’t see her beautiful eyes, as he loved the way they shone when she received a compliment.

“Thank you. Do we need to make a reservation or anything?”

“No. There’s this quiet little place I know. Never gets that busy.”

He replaced the photo and followed her out the door, glad that one of his colleagues had managed to park his SUV on her drive earlier.

It looked like they weren’t going to get anything out of Preston for a while, but maybe he could get a little more out of her…

It took about an hour to reach the little country hotel by the river. They drove through some pretty villages on the way and April looked relaxed as she sat back in her chair gazing out of the window.

  “Is your head OK, darlin’?”

She took off the shades as she smiled over at him. “It’s fine. I’d almost forgotten about it.”

He laid a hand over hers. “It must have been pretty scary. Any idea what caused you to fall?”

She shrugged, looking away. “Just clumsy I guess.” Replacing her shades, she looked out of the side window again.

Steve’s heart lurched. The knowledge she was keeping secrets from him hurt almost as much as knowing the scumbag responsible wasn’t getting the justice he deserved—yet.

“This is beautiful,” she remarked as they pulled up in the parking lot of the tiny hotel.

“Not as beautiful as you, darlin’.” He knew it sounded corny, but he meant it, and it made her smile.

He helped her out of his SUV and watched her look around the pretty beer garden which led down to the river. Although it was sunny, it wasn’t quite warm enough to sit outside, so he took her in and sat her in the bright conservatory which overlooked the riverbank. The place was really quiet, despite it being well into lunchtime, and he grinned at the waitress who offered them the menus.

“I’ll leave you to decide,” she said with a smile as she went off to fetch their drinks.

“I don’t know about you, darlin’, but I’m starving,” he said, checking out the choices. “Worked up quite an appetite this morning and managed to miss breakfast. Now what in the world would cause all that, I wonder?”

She giggled. “Are you boasting or complaining there, Sir?” she asked cheekily.

He chuckled. It was good to hear her laughing and joking. He gave her a salacious wink.

The waitress re-appeared with their drinks and took their food order.

“I haven’t been here before,” April remarked as she looked out of the window.

“I don’t get down here very often,” he told her, wishing she would take off those dang shades so he could see her expression properly. “It’s a nice place to just unwind and relax a little though, don’t you think?”

She nodded. “You must get real stressed with your job. Do you enjoy being a cop?”

He thought for a moment. “Yeah, on the whole I love it. Gets pretty frustrating sometimes though. The wheels of justice don’t grind as quickly as I’d like, you know?”

She nodded. “Yeah, I suppose that would be pretty annoying.”

“Especially when you know someone’s done something and there ain’t a dang thing you can do it about,” he went on, trying to study her reaction through her sunglasses. “There’s a limit to how long we can keep a prisoner in custody and if we can’t gather enough evidence to prove their guilt we sometimes have to let them go even though we know we’re putting the community in danger, you know? That’s what I hate most.”

He was surprised to see her just nod thoughtfully. He guessed that he might have seen some guilt were he able to look into those beautiful eyes of hers.

“You really care about people, don’t you, Master Steve?” She looked up at his face and he could just about make out her eyes behind those dark glasses. He sighed at the dark ring around her left eye.

He was just about to put a hand out to her when the waitress arrived with their meal. She placed a massive plate of hamburger and fries in front of him while April just had the chicken salad.

“You want some fries with that, darlin’?” he frowned as he looked over at her food.

She laughed. “No, thank you. This is fine how it is.”

“Hmm. We might need the dessert menu later,” he told the waitress as she turned to go.

“Yes sir.” The waitress, a middle-aged woman in a stylish black dress, laughed as she left them to enjoy their lunch.

“There’s no one about if you want to take those shades off now,” he told April quietly.

She removed them slowly. He was pleased to note that she didn’t even look around to re-affirm what he had said about it being quiet right now. She was such a good sub!

“This is lovely,” she remarked as she dug into her meal.

“Hmm. I’d forgotten just how nice the food is down here,” he said with a grin. “You know, I don’t usually enjoy such good company with my meals here.”

  He watched her blush.

“Do you go out with many girls, Master Steve?” she looked quizzically at him.

He shook his head with a smile. “No, darlin’. It’s been quite a while since I had any kind of relationship with a woman.”

Steve wasn’t sure whether or not he imagined it, but he thought she looked a little relieved. “How about you? You seen anyone since that fuck-er-idiot Preston guy?”

She stared at him. “No, Sir. I don’t think I could ever trust a guy again after him.”

He felt his heart lurch a little as he watched her get back to her food. “We’re not all cheating bastards, you know?” He slid into his most soothing tone of voice.

“I’m not sure I want to take that chance,” she replied, shaking her head.

“You trust me though, don’t you, darlin’?” His heart was in his mouth, but he had to know.

She looked surprised. “Yes, of course I trust you. You’re not like that, Master Steve.”

“So what am I like?” he blurted out a bit too quickly. He didn’t need his ego stroked, but it would be nice to know exactly how his little sub regarded him.

She frowned a little. “Well, you’re a proper Dom for a start.”

He snorted. “As opposed to that wannabe, you mean?” He wasn’t only thinking about Preston. That poor girl he had seen in the hospital yesterday had been at the mercy of a wannabe Dom. Hopefully she’d get the justice she deserved. He didn’t think Preston would be capable of that level of violence, but you never knew what creeps like him were capable of.

“I guess so,” she shrugged. “He’ll never be half the Dom you are.”

She sounded quite matter of fact as she resumed her salad.

Steve felt flattered as well as relieved. He chuckled.

She looked up at him and smiled. Even with that dang bruise, he could see her eyes were shining. She looked so pretty. Although he was desperate to ask her about how she really came to get that black eye, he didn’t want to spoil the moment. He decided it could wait a while, and just made idle chit chat about the scenery and the lovely hotel.

“Have some dessert.” He passed her a menu as soon as the waitress reappeared with them a while later.

April looked a little surprised, but seemed to understand that it was a command, not a request. He knew she’d missed breakfast and was sure the sugar would do her good, especially after all the exertion earlier. He grinned to himself as he recalled their antics in her bedroom, and hoped they could resume them later.

He watched her pout as she studied the menu, and guessed she didn’t really fancy a sweet. Nonetheless he was determined to see her eat properly.

“How about one of these ‘sweets to share’. It
’s just ice cream and stuff, nothing too heavy?” he suggested.

Her eyes lit up, probably assuming he’d be eating the lion’s share. “That would be awesome.”

He chuckled. “We’ll take the chocolate one,” he told the waitress, handing her back the menus.

“I’m really not all that hungry,” she confided when they were on their own again.

“You’ll need all your strength for tonight,” he told her.

“But it’s only a single shift and I’ve had enough…oh.” She must have caught his salacious expression as she suddenly stopped in her tracks and giggled.

The sundae was huge and they each took up a spoon.

Steve watched her hesitate and offered her a spoonful of chocolate ice cream. She smiled as she opened her mouth, and he immediately relived the feeling of her mouth around his cock. He continued to feed her as his trousers became more and more uncomfortable, and she giggled when he shifted slightly in his seat.

“You wouldn’t be laughing at me now, would you, darlin’?”

She looked up at him in mock shock. “Me, Master Steve? Now why would I do a thing like that?” Her eyes were wide and twinkled in the afternoon sun.

“Hmm.” He smiled at her, unconvinced, but glad to see her enjoying herself.

He gazed out of the window as he gave her time to chew on a chunk of chocolate brownie. “I think we might take a walk down by the river later.”

She smirked and he knew they were on the same wavelength. It would sure be a great spot to make out!

They eventually finished their dessert, Steve making sure she ate most of it. While they sipped their coffees, he allowed his hand to trail over hers.

“You look real sore,” he said softly, examining her face.

She looked down at her cup. “I’m fine, really. I can’t believe I was so clumsy.” She gave a weak smile.

“Me neither.” It was the truth. He didn’t believe it.

She seemed to understand what he meant as she blushed slightly and pulled her fingers from under his, using both of her hands to hold her cup.

He studied her closely. She was looking out of the window again, not wanting to face him, he guessed. She was clearly not ready to talk about what happened yet, but he wasn’t going to let it rest.

“Darlin’, I aim to get to the bottom of what happened, you know that, don’t you?” His voice was soft, but commanding.

Her eyes shot back to him, and he watched her swallow hard.

“I told you what happened, Master Steve. It was an accident, that’s all.” Although she was facing him, her eyes were fixed on his chest, not his face.

He shook his head, but calmly took another sip of his coffee to let her know that he knew darn well she was lying.

He wondered how Dave Preece was getting on with the fucker; he must have sobered up by now. Slipping his cell out of his pocket, he glanced down at it. Dave had promised to let him know when they started to question the guy so he could get in on the action. There was no light flashing to alert him of a message.

“Do you need to go to work, Master Steve?”

He looked up in surprise. April was watching him closely. He realized she would be pretty pissed with him if he’d brought her out here and then spent his time on his cell sorting out work problems. He quickly put the phone away.

“No.” He told her with a smile. “We can take that walk if you’re all done?”

Throwing some bills on the table, he stood up and held a hand out to her. Her little fingers felt so dainty in his massive palm, and he loved the feel of them.

She put her shades back on as they left the table and made their way out of the glass doors and down toward the river. The sun was shining brightly now, although there was still a slight nip in the air, so he put an arm around her.

“Is it muddy?” she asked, looking toward the bank.

“Not usually.” He often walked down here when he had some thinking to do. It was really tranquil, and not many people made it as far as the towpath.

“It’s lovely here,” April remarked as they walked on quietly.

“It’s a good place to think and relax,” he agreed.

She looked thoughtful and he wondered if she was contemplating telling him what happened after all. He held her a little tighter, hoping to reassure her. Her next comment told him that was the last thing on her mind.

“There’s lots of tall grass too.” She looked over toward a secluded area and gave him a salacious wink. It wasn’t quite what he had expected, but he had to agree it was a good opportunity for some togetherness.

He chuckled. “You wanna go take a closer look, darlin’?”

He couldn’t see her eyes behind the sunglasses, but he imagined they were as lit up as the rest of her face.

They could hear the rippling water as they walked down the dirt path and veered off into the patch of tall grass which surrounded a large tree. The bright afternoon sun shone through its leaves, leaving some shade beneath. A warm breeze washed over them and ruffled the leaves. It was quite hidden and sheltered being a little farther from the river.

“You won’t need those sunglasses,” he growled as a fire was ignited in his stomach.

His ardor was increased by the way she immediately removed them and tucked one of the arms into her pocket. Through the bruises, he could see that her whole face was shining in excited anticipation.

“Against the tree.” His command was low as he tried hard to control himself for a short while longer.

She looked so beautiful as she gracefully and silently walked over to the large trunk and turned her back to it, leaning provocatively against it, pouting back at him.

He nodded his appreciation at the wonderful sight. Through her pretty floral top, he could already see her nipples standing to attention, and she kicked off her little shoes in readiness for him. Her dark hair lay in tousled waves around her shoulders. She licked her lips and he felt a twitch in his pants.

Slowly he walked toward her, studying her. She had raised her arms above her head and her breasts were jutting out. He held her slender hips in his big hands and heard her sigh into his heaving chest. She had turned her head up to face him and her eyes were large and dark with lust.

Gently he bent down and took her moist lips in his hot mouth. His tongue plunged directly into her, lapping and exploring. He felt her soft lips on his and her tongue twist and dance. He held her a little tighter and was rewarded with her rampant breathing.

He pressed closer to her and could feel her rock-hard nipples jab into his flesh. Pushing his thick cock against her, he relished the gasp he received in return. His hands stroked her body, her hair and then, very tenderly, her face. He broke their kiss to gaze at her. The red mark on her cheek was still there, although gradually turning purple. The bruise on her forehead was much darker today and the one over her left eye was slightly swollen.

In her eyes he could see her pleading with him not to say anything regarding the incident, and in his head he knew it would change the atmosphere in an instant. His heart ached though; he really felt that she would tell him the truth right now. Was this the optimum moment or the worst time he could choose?

  CHAPTER FIVE

She made the decision for him by quickly reaching up and kissing his lips once again. He could feel her fingers dig into his arms as her breathing became heavier and the moment was gone.

His cock was jabbing through his jeans and he knew she could feel it. She parted her legs a little farther and he pressed hard against her pussy. He could feel her heat mix with his and couldn’t wait to get those dang tight pants out of the way.

His hand trailed down to her breast and she gasped as he pinched the hard nub between his finger and thumb. He watched her close her eyes and her face became flushed. Her pert breast felt firm and warm in his big palm, and he grazed his other hand down to her thigh.

Suddenly her eyes popped open and her mouth tensed slightly. They stared at each other as his hand slid
across to her pussy and she whimpered and closed her eyes again as he felt the wetness of her jeans. She had such a tiny waist it was a quick and easy job to unfasten her fly and pull the damp denim down her slim legs. She elegantly kicked off her jeans and his hand went immediately back to her pussy.

Her thin, cotton panties were already soaked and he felt the fire inside his stomach burn hot as his hand stroked and teased her through the fabric. He gently pressed his finger into her hole, feeling the material around it become hotter and wetter as he did so. He heard her breath hitch and her mouth opened as if to speak, but she only murmured a moan.

He thrust his tongue in and out of her mouth, mimicking the movements with his finger in her pussy. She simpered and it made his cock jerk painfully against his thick denims. It was no good. They had to come off.

“Undress me.” His voice came from deep within his throat and she immediately obeyed his command.

Her tiny fingers quickly unfastened his zipper and button as he heeled off his boots, and she swiftly hauled his now-damp jeans down his legs, removing his socks at the same time. Next came his underwear. She watched his face as her hands slid under the elastic around his waist and she carefully gave his heaving cock a wide berth as she unwrapped it, licking her lips. Crouching on the soft grass at his feet, she slowly and deliberately pulled down his Calvin Klein’s and he sighed at the relief as the fresh air surrounded his huge, hot member. Her face was in line with his cock as she knelt and he watched as she slowly leaned forward and kissed the bulbous, weeping head gently and lovingly.

Steve felt his breath hitch and felt a little disappointed when she then started to slide his shirt up his back. He sighed and watched her face as she studiously continued to obey his orders, removing his shirt over his head, but not without tenderly caressing his hips, his back, and his hairy chest. He knew how much she loved to run her fingers through his chest, and he closed his eyes to savor the sensation. Her tiny hands were so gentle they almost tickled his skin, like butterflies dancing on the surface of his over-sensitized flesh.

Another warm breeze wafted around his body, cooling and soothing him as he stood naked before her. Her eyes were large and dark as she gazed up at him, her lips moist and ready.
