Girls From Da Hood 10

“Don’t worry, sis.” Carla tucked the small handgun in the lower small of her back. Slightly adjusting her T-shirt with the words 100% FUN written across the chest in bright neon pink lettering, she grinned with confidence. “I’m all over my part. I got this. Just make sure you divas is ready to rock when I send the text.”
Jakki, Paulette, and Faye each made sure their own pistols were loaded as Carla made her way up the walkway. Popping her chewing gun, the brazen beauty took a deep breath before knocking on the door of the well-known west side trap house. After a few brief seconds she was met at the door by a middle-aged man who was obviously the homeowner.
“Yeah, what you need?” he defensively growled through the semi-closed door until seeing Carla’s innocent face and standing at full attention breasts poking out.
“Hey, ummm, I’m looking for Tone? Is he here?” Jakki had wisely chosen one of if not the most common name in the hood knowing full well if a dude named Tone wasn’t inside at the moment, and hopefully there’d be none, there damn for sure straight was a Tone someone at the trap house knew. Needless to say, after Carla flashed her bright Colgate smile, any hot-blooded male, young or old, would be disarmed.
“Tone?” The man puzzled opening the door all the way not sensing any real danger. “I’m sorry, baby doll, but it ain’t no Tone here.”
“Really?” Carla sheepishly tugged at her hair. “I know I’m at the right house. He told me to meet him here.”
“Oh yeah?” The man rubbed at his growing bald spot wishing he was ten years younger and his old lady didn’t have keys.
“Wow.” Carla pouted pulling her cell out from her bra while making sure he got a full view of what she was working with. “That’s why I hate these young guys. They always clowning around when they should be about their business! I’m about to erase his tired number from my phone. He don’t deserve me anyhow,” she flirted as his old eyes stayed glued to her youthful shape. “I’m too good at what I do.”
“And just what is it that you do?” His old pimp player curiosity was piqued thinking about where he put his little blue pills.
As Jakki and the others anxiously peered from the porch of an abandoned house located three doors down and across the street, Carla soon sent a text saying, It’s on. Then, just as planned, the old man stood to the side as she made her way inside the house.
Phase one of the caper was coming together just as Jakki hoped it would. Making sure the coast was clear the trio eased down the block, bent the corner, and disappeared into the dark debris-covered alley. Having staked out the premises the day before, Jakki led the way into the backyard of the trap house. Paulette and Faye each pulled out the red-colored bandanas they had tucked in their shorts. Tying them tightly around their faces, Jakki made sure she could only see their eyes. Then, just to be on the safe side, they put on clear-lens Ray-Bans. Luckily, none of the girls had easily recognizable tattoos on their arms or legs, so that was all the better in case they were unfortunate to run into one of their soon-to-be victims later on down the line. Everyone knew Detroit was the smallest big city around. It was often said that if you was about that life you didn’t have to find trouble in Detroit. Just wake up and brush your teeth; that headache would find you.
With the grace of three panthers, Paulette and Fay, guns drawn, crept up on the back porch as Jakki continued on to the side of the front porch. Ensuring her own bandana and glasses were in place, she braced herself waiting for Carla’s next text. Hearing what seemed like two different voices, not including her homegirl’s, Jakki’s heart raced with anticipation. She’d done hundreds of illegal things throughout the years, but this time was different. This time was like she was gambling with a million dollars on the line, all with one roll of the dice or pull of the highest card. Hoping no one came to cop and interrupt what they had going on, Jakki prayed Carla would come on with the come on.
Watching a set of car headlights drive by and keep going, her cell finally buzzed. Reading the text, Jakki’s thoughts were confirmed. Carla informed her there were only two dudes inside the house. She also said they were relaxed, hoping to take turns getting their old, limp peckers sucked in exchange for a few dollars for cab fare back to the side of town she’d claimed she’d come from and a few pills. That was all a cold and calculating Jakki needed to know to put the second phase of the plan into full motion. If all went as planned they’d be back on their side of town in no time flat, counting money, popping bottles, and smoking a fat blunt.
Wasting no more time, Jakki texted Faye so they would know the plan was definitely about to go down and to be on point. Raising her hand upward Jakki used the gun’s barrel. Lightly she tapped on the side glass window like she’d seen a few pill heads do the night before. Quickly, before anyone could look out the side window and see who was who, she darted on the porch. With an attitude, she knocked twice. Standing over to the far side, Jakki hoped the dude working the door would be so distracted with Carla inside tempting them with the possibility of that good good and the fact he assumed it was one of their regular customers who knew the knock on the side window routine, he’d carelessly swing the door open, no questions asked.
“Yeah, what’s up? What you need tonight?” His voice rang out in a rush to get back to the young girl inside who promised to suck his balls dry.
“I need everything you got, old timer!” Jakki bum-rushed the man shoving her gun up to his throat. With force, the big-boned diva stuck the barrel deep into his jugular vein letting him know she was about her business and not one to be played with. “Now keep it Gucci and make my dreams come true tonight! I’ma need that package that just dropped. And if you know what’s really good don’t try to short change me either! I know what’s up! I know y’all just got the re-up!”
“Hold up, hold up!” He fought to speak as his blood pressure leaped to crucial heart attack and stroke levels. Being caught off-guard, he knew she had him at a disadvantage but wanted to stall for time hoping his gun-toting woman or at least a pill-seeking customer would show up and save him and his partner from whatever fate they were facing.
“Listen, sir.” Jakki, a woman of her word, tried switching up giving the man, seeming to be about her father’s age who was still sporting finger waves, a small bit of respect. “I don’t wanna hurt nan one of y’all!” She roughly marched him all the way back inside the fully furnished house where Carla had the other man laid out on the floor with his pants down to his ankles undoubtedly interrupted believing he was about to get his hookup sucked. “We just need the pills, the cough syrup, and that cash. You run us that shit and we outta here as quick as we came.”
“Yeah,” Carla laughed opening the rear door for Paulette and Faye. “We gonna need a little bit more than them few measly nickels and dimes y’all was offering me to get my knees dirty. Matter of fact, if we wasn’t in such a hurry, I’d make y’all both suck each other’s thang just for fun.”
Knowing there wasn’t much they could do but hand over the stash if they wanted to survive, the man who opened the door grudgingly gathered several plastic freezer storage bags filled with Oxycontin, Oxycodone, Vicodin, and maybe twelve or so morphine patches. Packing up at least thirty-nine bottles of prescription-strength cough syrup they had perfectly lined up on the living room mantle, along with about $2,900 in cash, Jakki smiled knowing this pay out would be good not only for her cohorts, but the Crayton Clan family pot. Noticing an abnormal amount of designer purses, clothing items with tags on them, and other items you’d find at a store, Jakki assumed not only was this a pill spot, but some sort of booster house as well. But they weren’t there to going shopping.
Humiliated he was still sprawled on the floor with his soft, drawn-up manhood exposed, the distraught victim, who seemed like he used to be that deal back in the day, begged Paulette and Faye to at least allow him to pull his pants up so if he died he could have some sort of dignity when facing his Maker. As both girls giggled from behind their disguises, Jakki, yelling from the othe
r room, callously informed him there would be no negotiations or favors done. The only order of business would be just his boy getting them what they came for and them leaving. “Look, dude, hold tight. We almost done here!”
Using a roll of gray duct tape Faye had on her wrist like a bracelet they securely attached one man’s arms to the steel shower rod in the bathroom and placed his own sock in his mouth to keep him from calling out for help once they’d left. The other man’s arms were taped to the leg of the dining room table that was full of empty food containers and a few dirty glasses. With his penis still out for the world to see, Carla cruelly wrapped it with the tape knowing it would hurt like a pain he’d never felt before when he tried to take it off.
After turning the television up loudly, the four brazen females on a mission discretely retreated out the back door of the trap house as sounds of a Sanford and Son rerun kept the two older men company. Jumping in the car that was parked one block over, Jakki started the ignition and skirted off heading toward the freeway. No one was really hurt and the men, both criminals themselves, had no alternative whatsoever but to suck the loss up. Of course they couldn’t call the police. Jakki’s plan had gone off without a hitch.
As the girls joked about what Carla had done to the man’s tiny-sized pride and joy, Jakki’s mindset was totally focused on the lick they’d just hit. Let School Boy crazy behind top this!
Chapter 5
Proud of herself and what newly gained revenue she’d brought to the table, Jakki issued out her girls’ cut for their part and of course her boy, the UPS driver, had to be hit off for the initial info. Hand delivering the rest to her uncle who’d always acted as a makeshift treasurer and inventory specialist, she felt satisfied. Having no true ambitions to be anything other than just that was one of if not the main reason Ruben wanted to groom School Boy to move up the family ladder when the time was right.
Dropping the package off at seven o’clock in the morning within sixty short minutes, word spread throughout the entire close-knit tight-lipped family that Jakki had come through with a huge blessing. Getting praise from everyone, she was elated she’d done good. Brushing her hair back into a ponytail and putting on a new pair of leggings, a T-shirt, and sandals she was almost ready to go. Grabbing her oversized purse and cell phone off the charger, she was on her way out the front door to visit her father when School Boy came from out the kitchen. Knowing her mom or one of the other family members had thrown up in her cousin’s face the perfect crime she’d committed, it was easy for Jakki to see he felt some sort of way.
Here we go. “Hey, cuz, what’s good with you?”
School Boy, as she thought, was not in the mood for a family love bonding session and cut straight to the chase. “What the entire hell ever,” he evilly hissed tugging at his crotch. “Word in the street is you and them slut bucket rats you run with got down last night.”
“Dang, you good hating black man! Why they gotta be slut buckets?”
“Later for them nut gobblers and your show off ass!”
“Damn, cuz, you mad or nah?” Jakki laughed antagonizing him further.
“Me mad? Nah never that,” he tried playing it off but she saw straight through him. “You think that lightweight in the pockets job you did last night was something, wait ’til you see what I got up later.”
“Dawg, whatever!” Jakki brushed past him going into the refrigerator for a glass of juice. “Do you, playboy. Trust, I ain’t hating! And while you busy doing you why don’t you go visit your sick uncle! Or is that too much like right? At the end of the day, I’m all about family and thought you was too!”
“Suck my dick, Jakki!”
After their brief confrontation, Jakki was out the door knowing she had a few important runs to make in hopes of lining up some more work before visiting her father later at the hospital.
“Yo, real talk, guy. I ain’t about to let Jakki get away with thinking she did something so untouchable and great!”
“Dude, you is pissed all the way off, like a dog trying to catch his tail.”
“Nah, man, I’m not. But that daddy’s girl Jakki was talking trash about me to my uncle like I don’t be out here getting that paper.” School Boy posted up with his friend after buying the last two out of season wool face masks from the corner dollar store. “Well after me and you shoot this move, we gonna see who the family be jocking then! I’m about that life for real! I’m trained to go!”
After stealing a Dodge Magnum from the employee parking lot at the local college, School Boy and his forever loyal comrade hit I-94 heading west. As his friend drove, School Boy went through the owner’s glove compartment and center console hoping to find some petty cash or possibly a credit card. Finding nothing of great value, he reclined the seat for the short-distance ride they were taking. After twenty minutes or so, they pulled over at the mall parking the car in far corner of the lot so no one would notice the broken steering wheel column. Going into one of the main entrances, they didn’t stop to window shop as they exited at the far end easily finding another vehicle to steal. Back en route to their destination, School Boy followed the same routine in that car as well. Coming up empty-handed again, he was soon consoled as his homeboy slowly turned into the parking lot of an out of the way jewelry store in a not so crowded strip mall. As they drove passed they noticed the showroom was empty of custumers.
Momentarily seeing no one was coming in or out of the adjacent stores, the pair inconspicuously slipped on their masks. With hammers in their back pockets, they quickly exited the car leaving it running and the doors unlocked. Within a matter of seconds, the wild, ill-minded pair was inside the normally tranquil confines of the store. As a shocked staff hurried to mash the alarm button, the showcase glass was shattering and School Boy and his friend were grabbing their hearts’ desires of rings, chains, and watches, putting them in plastic bags. Just as fast as the masked hooligans had entered the building they were gone. Jumping back in the second stolen car, they roared off and were soon back in the first one on I-94 homebound.
Jakki think she did something last night. She ain’t about that life! School Boy thought as he looked through the bag of jewelry. Wait until my uncle hears about this here! Using his cell phone he took a picture of the jewelry sprawled across his lap sending it to Jakki.
Having the plug with just about everyone she met, Jakki looked up an old contact of hers who stayed getting jobs at different types of store just to run scams for extra cash. After going by his mother’s crib, then one of his baby mommas’ houses, Jakki soon found out Roe was working as a sales rep at T-Mobile and thankfully was still popping pills.
Obtaining that valuable information courtesy of his bitter baby momma who she threw a hot twenty to, Jakki happily headed straight over to the store. Hearing the bell ring when someone entered or exited everyone glanced at the door, just because. Roe, thirsty for a for sure come up, saw Jakki walk through the door. Immediately he passed his current customer over to his coworker knowing full well whatever had brought his homegirl Jakki his way was worth far more than the small commission he was gonna make off signing some random hardworking nine-to-five city employee up on a family plan on two inexpensive phones. He’d been hooking folks up with lines using other people’s identities for over a month or so now, but knew his time at this job was just about up, so Jakki showing up was right on time.
“Hello, how are you?” Jakki devilishly grinned while winking her eye.
“Hello, miss, is it something I can interest you in today?” Roe caught on to her body language and knew she wanted him to act as if they didn’t know one another. “Are you already a T-Mobile customer or are you looking for new service?”
“I really came in just to get a brochure of your different plans for a friend of mine.” Jakki waited for Roe to return with what she’d asked for slipping him her number on the sly. “Thanks for the information. And by the way, is it anywhere around here that I can get lunch at real quick?”
O
nce again, a streetwise Roe caught on and played the game advising her to go two blocks down to the Burger King. Jakki thanked him and left out the store. Less than five minutes later she received a text from a strange number she knew had to be Roe’s saying he’d be there shortly. Jakki ordered a Whopper with cheese and waited.
It was nearing five o’clock in the evening and Jakki was finally finished with her running around setting her traps. Determined to beat her cousin, especially since he was so rude to her earlier, she took pride in knowing what she had planned next with Roe’s scandalous ass. School Boy would be livid beyond belief. Driving into the parking garage of the hospital, Jakki used her hands to smooth back any loose hairs from her ponytail. Wanting to gloat to her father about the amount of money her uncle said the pills and cough syrup would bring the family while he was out of commission brought Jakki satisfaction. Placing the green ticket in the upper part of her dashboard, she got out heading toward the lobby. Feeling the vibration of her phone, she took it out her purse. Seeing it was a picture message from none other than School Boy kinda made her blood boil low-key considering she blamed him for her father even stressing out being in the hospital in the first place. Tossing her cell back in her purse, she decided not to even look at it knowing it was probably more insults or dry mouth threats. I’m tight on him right now!
“Yes, hi,” the nurse greeted Jakki as she was leaving out Mr. Crayton’s room. “Please don’t stay too long. Our patient has had visitors all day and needs his rest.”
“No problem,” Jakki replied to the nurse, heading over to her father’s bedside. “Hey, Dad, how you feeling this evening?” Jakki lovingly asked while trying to fix Ruben’s pillow. “How long ago did Mom leave?”
