UnBreak This Heart

I roll over, my cheek hitting the pillow, and drift off as tears fall down my face.
Another week passes. Our women have been missing a total of fourteen fuckin’ days, and I’m feeling on edge. How can we not figure this shit out? I park my bike in the compound and walk into the clubhouse. Everyone is edgy by the looks of it. Some people are stiff, while anger is radiating off others. A few seem like they don’t care. In a way, I bet you anything if this club went back to the ways of Satan’s Law, those would be the ones who would join it.
“Reaper,” Angel shouts from the doorway of his office.
I go and close the door behind me. “What’s up? We find anything?” I ask.
“No, but bad news- we can’t get any more info out of Roni. She was found dead in the alley behind the shop, committed fuckin’ suicide,” he grumbles out.
“Fuck!” I roar.
“Yeah, bad shit, but that’s not the worst of it. Cops are coming down hard. Heard from Thrane they got warrants. Your fuckin’ prints were found at the scene. They have evidence that tells them Zippo killed Foxy too,” he says, sounding more pissed off. “I know you both didn’t do shit. We gotta find you some ground so they can’t get you guys.”
“I’m not fuckin’ going to ground. I need to be looking for my woman,” I tell him.
“If you don’t go to ground and hide the fuck out, you are in prison for a murder you didn’t commit. How you gonna find her then?”
I grind my teeth, keeping my mouth shut.
“I hate to do this shit, but I’m gonna have to make a call. Untamed Angels used to be in good with Satan’s Law. I’m hoping some of our markers are still good,” he says.
I frown. “I don’t want those fucks around here.”
“Don’t have a choice. Those assholes have the best trackers in their MC. Hangman used to be close with my dad, so he might be able to get something.”
“Fuckin’ hell. I’d rather go back to the shit when I was a murderer than to have those fucks in town.”
His face closes down. “Hate remembering that shit, you know that, but it’s been weeks and we have nothing. Our only intel is now dead.”
“Shit. Okay, call them in. See if they’ll help out. I’ll go to Zippo’s, and we’ll get gone. I don’t fuckin’ like this, but I’ll do it. I want the women home,” I tell him, walking toward the door.
As I open the door, a small body crashes into me. “I’m so sorry.”
I put her at arm’s length and realize its Monica. “What are you doing here?” I ask her.
She looks shaken up. “Roni gave me this.” She holds out a folded piece of paper. “Said if something happened to her, I was to rush it here to you guys. I didn’t want to get involved, but I owed her and you guys this much.”
I unfold the note and read it.
Dear Angel,
I’m so sorry for what I’ve done. I didn’t want to do it. I wanted to move on with my life. Why do you think I never came back, even when the club turned around? I knew no one in that town wanted me back. I burned too many bridges. I was happy in my life.
One day, a week before I showed up at the compound to you, Bruce came to my home. He broke in through the backdoor. I didn’t want to die. I had a choice- death or help him out. I’ve never liked Eden, but I also never knew the final plan was to eventually kidnap her.
If I had known that, I wouldn’t have done anything. I would have picked death instead. I know how much you love her. All I can say is how sorry I am.
I’m writing this in hopes you are able to make it to the girls as fast as you can. In case I forget to tell you, since I’m planning on coming to you with what I know, the girls are being held in a cabin near the lake where Momma B used to take the girls when they were kids.
It’s not in the exact spot where they all used to go, but it’s about fifty kilometers away from that spot. From what I also learned, they don’t believe you will ever find that spot, hence them using it. It’s Momma B, Victor, and Breaks. Please don’t underestimate them.
Be safe. If you are reading this, it’s because I decided to beat those fuckers to the punch. If I’m going to die, I’m going out my own way.
Veronica
I clench the letter in my hand. Shit! “Thanks, Monica,” I tell her gruffly, turning on my heels to head back inside the clubhouse to Angel.
I figured Roni went to see Monica just before she went to the clubhouse because, of course, I was following her. Although, I didn’t think Monica would do anything. I’d figured she’d be happy Eden was out of the way.
I’m also sure Eden doesn’t know the rest of the history of Angel and her. I know she knows they fucked, but I doubt she knows that Monica was pregnant at one point with his child and lost it.
Now it looks like she’s trying to help, and that just won’t do.
I follow her home and quickly go in behind her. “Brandon,” she says, sounding scared out of her mind.
“Yeah, baby,” I say while moving forward.
I shove her against the wall hard. “Don’t scream. You and I are going to have a little fun.” I grin at her as the shock sets in on her face. “That’s right, sweetheart. Going to enjoy fucking your tight ass. You have always thought you were too good for me.”
“Please don’t.” A tear slides down her face. I cup her jaw roughly and lick her tear off. My cock grows harder as her eyes bulge in her head. Taking the duct tape out of my back pocket, I secure a strip over her mouth. Bitch doesn’t even fight it as I wrap it around her wrists. Good- but I do like it when they show some restraint and fight back a little. Taking out my pocket knife, I cut the front of her blouse open. Bitch has nice tits. I shove her forward, pushing her into the bedroom. Looking around, I see the bitch really needed to get laid more—she has fucking lace and doilies like a grandma. I order her to stand in front of the bed, and she complies. I shove her skirt down around her ankles and help her step out of it. No surprise that she wears white cotton panties—she’s so vanilla.
I cut her panties off and run the tip of my blade over her clit. “Don’t move unless you want me to cut you.” She trembles slightly but not enough to do any damage. I push her onto the bed and begin removing my clothes. My dick is so ready to tear her ass up. Getting on the bed, I hold myself over her with my knees and my elbows. I pull her tits out of her bra and bury my face in them. She tries to scream, but no one will hear her cries. She tries to scoot and roll away—finally, the bitch has some fight in her. I strike her cheek, and she stills, getting the message. Although, I hope she puts up more of a fight. I bite down on her nipple and tug on it with my teeth. She may not want me in her mind, but her body betrays her as her tight cunt gets wet for me. I rub my fingers in her juices and use them to coat that sweet ass.
Rolling her over, I whisper in her ear, “Gonna hurt you more than it will me.” I laugh and roll a condom on. Her tight hole puts up a lot of resistance, but I break through and fuck her good.
“Now that I got what I want out of you. You’re done,” I say while pulling my pants up.
I take out my gun and aim, shooting her right in the fucking face.
Momma B pulls me into the living room of the cabin. “Sit,” she demands.
I quickly do so; I really don’t want a bullet in me. My kids would have Jasper, even Glenna would, but I don’t want my children or G-baby to have to live without me.
Tears well in my eyes as I look at the woman who was always there for me. When I came home, she was part of my protection detail and helped with the kids. God, I feel sick.
“Why are you doing this?” I ask desperately. “We’re family.”
“I’ve already told you- I don’t have any more time to explain things. You’ll just have to live with all your stupid questions.”
She’s so cold, so mean. The woman that helped cover me in the pranks I did around town is not the woman sitting in front of me…
“How can you keep Lilly from her baby, and what about Rose? She needs a mom too.”
“That’s cute, Eden, you caring about Lilly. She sure as shit didn’t care about your feelings when she befriended Monica and helped her. She was by her side when she lost her and Jasper’s baby.”
My face pales, and my stomach is in knots. Jasper and Monica? A child? No! I can’t believe that. He wouldn’t have.
“Believe it,” she sneers, handing me a hospital record from five years ago of Monica losing a child. Jasper is listed as her emergency contact. I feel sick. This could be fake, but deep in my heart, I know it’s true. This explains why Monica hates me, and why she acted the way she did when my sister was put in her class.
Momma B brings Eden back to the room, and she looks pissed. “What happened?” I ask her, moving forward.
She holds out a hand to stop me. “Don’t,” she says with her chin quivering.
My brows draw in. “Are you okay?”
“You didn’t tell me that Jasper was going to have a child with Monica,” she says.
Hilary stiffens beside me. “What?” she asks, shocked.
“I, well, didn’t see a reason to. She didn’t end up having the baby,” I tell her, trying to lessen the blow.
She shakes her head. “I just can’t talk to you right now,” she says sadly. “I can’t believe you didn’t tell me. And here I’ve been, for months, upset over him, and the whole time, he could have had a child with someone else. “
“Eden, you kept his children from him,” I tell her, not trying to hurt her, but just telling her. “Both Hilary and I tried to get you to go to him when you found out. You weren’t here. Did you expect Jasper to not try to get over you? You made it clear you didn’t want him to ever find you or know about the kids. I was alone here. Hilary was gone. Vinny and I were fighting. Monica and I both needed a friend at the time. I won’t be sorry for that.”
Eden’s eyes blaze in anger. “Except for the fucking fact that I didn’t fucking know Victor was ‘dead’ before I came home? I was fucking threatened by him! I sent fucking letters to Jasper! Victor sent them back, saying he would kill you guys if I didn’t back the fuck off from Jasper!” she screams. “You think I would tell you that shit and endanger your lives too? He was watching and listening to everything. He wrote me every fucking time I called you both!”
“What?” I breathe out. “I didn’t know that.”
“Neither did I,” Hilary whispers, finally speaking up.
“Of course not! I was never just protecting my kids or myself. I was protecting you two also! He wrote me often, telling me to limit what I told you both, said he’d hurt you or hurt my kids,” she says, breaking down and sobbing.
“Why didn’t you tell us when Victor finally ‘died’?” I ask her, laced with quotes since obviously he’s still very much alive.
“I got another letter from him, maybe a week later, saying that even in death he would find a way.” she says, her voice breaking with each word she says.
Hilary wraps her arms around Eden and motions me over, but I stay back and give Eden some space.
I had no idea. My poor friend. Eden has given up so much. It can’t end like this for her, for any of us. We have been through hell and back. We will get out of this; I just wish I knew how.
Hearing about Monica losing her child hurts. I know how that feels. It seems all of us had secrets. I didn’t know about the Monica stuff, the Victor shit, and they don’t know about my miscarriage.
I go to Eden, and we are wrapped around one another crying. And Lilly finally joins in. “Eden, fuck,” Lilly chokes out.
“I lost a baby,” I blurt out.
‘What?” they both say, pulling back from me.
“Years ago, before Mason and I split, before the twins were born. Mason wasn’t ready, and now I may never have the chance to give him a child again. I want that with him.” It feels good to finally tell my friends about the child I lost. I have carried that around for so many years.
The three of us drift off to sleep eventually, feeling emotionally exhausted.
*~*
A door slams, and I bolt straight up in the tiny bed I’m lying in. “Get up, all three of you.”
Eden, Lilly, and I all quickly get out of bed and stand by one another. “We have to move out. Our location’s been compromised,” Victor grumbles. “Breaks and Trent will be in here in a few minutes to get you ladies,” he informs us.
He walks back out, shutting the door and locking it. “It has to be more than just Momma B, Victor, Trent, and Breaks doing this. No way can only four people pull this shit off,” Eden speaks up.
“It can happen if they are framing the guys for things they didn’t do,” Lilly says.
“What do you mean?” I ask her.
She takes a deep breath. “I overheard them talking when Trent took me down the hall for a shower yesterday. Said something about getting Reaper and Zippo framed for murder. They also have us. All that goes down, you really think Jasper won’t just hand over the club?”
“Oh my God!” Eden breathes out.
Well, there you have it. I guess just those four can get all this shit done. Breaks is also a damn cop, so I bet he knows how to do shit like that too. Fuck.
“It’ll be okay. I’m sure the guys know good cops in the force, and they’ll get Mason and Vinny to ground before anything happens,” I assure them.
Eden’s gone. Fuck! I should have just forgiven her, or at least worked at it, maybe talked shit through. Something. I swear, the minute I get her back, I’m not fuckin’ letting her go. I shut the door to my office and place the call- a call I didn’t wanna ever fuckin’ make.
When we were Satan’s Law, we did shit with and for the Untamed Angels. They still owe us some markers, and I’m hoping like fuck they are still good.
“Yo,” the gruff voice on the phone says.
“It’s Angel,” I say.
He lets out a loud laugh. “Well, if it isn’t pussies r us. What can I do for you?”
“Those markers still good?” I ask him. I’m not in no mood for bullshit right now.
“Why?” He sounds curious but interested. That’s good.
“A few of our women were kidnapped. A few members turned against us, wanting to do a takeover,” I tell him.
“And you guys want my help?”
“Yeah, man. Our tracker is the one that took our women. Victor ain’t fuckin’ dead. He’s the one pulling all the strings.”
“I was about to tell you no, but now I’m interested. Victor fucked up a few of my shipments, kept trying to get freebies outta my girls. Fucker even killed my brother. So, yeah, those markers are still good. A few of my boys, along with myself, will be there in about a week or so. Have shit we gotta finish up first. Look out for us,” he says, hanging up.
Fuck, I hope I made the right decision; these fuckers are whack jobs.
I hang up the phone and go into the meeting room. Everyone is in their seats waiting for me.
“I just had to make a call I didn’t want to, but didnt really have a fuckin’ choice. Untamed Angels will be here in about a week. Seems some of our markers are still good with them,” I tell the room.
T-bags stands up, his chair crashing to the floor. “Sorry, man, but I can’t be around when they get here.”
My brows draw together. “Why?”
He just shakes his head and gulps, looking pale. “I can’t, man. Gonna have to leave me outta this.”
“Fuck that! We need all the help we can get looking for Eden, Lilly, and Hilary. And you just wanna bail?” Reaper roars at him.
“Man, I’ll help, but I can’t be around those fuckers,” he says, shooting me an apologetic look, and leaves the room.
I lift my chin at Zippo. He’s become good friends with T-bags lately, so maybe he can talk to him. “Go to him. See what’s going on.”
“Sure thing, boss man,” Zippo says, giving me a mock salute.
Not long after Zippo and T-bags leave the room, there is a knock on the door, and Mona comes in with her face
pale.
“What now?” I snap at her.
“Angel,” she says, a hitch in her voice. “It’s Monica. She was found dead this morning.”
I see red. Fucking red. “Motherfucker!” I roar, flipping my chair over. “How?” I ask after I calm my shit down.
“She was bound and gagged with duct tape, and I’m sorry to say this, but she was brutally sodomized,” Mona says.
“How the fuck did she die?” I repeat.
“Shot to the face.”
I look around the room at my brothers, all looking at me with grim faces. Every one of these fuckers knows what happened between us, losing our child and getting clean together. Monica and I went through a lot of fucking shit. “When I get my fucking hands on them, they’re gonna wish for death,” I say, gritting my teeth.
I pick up my chair and sit back down in it. Reaper comes over, placing a hand on my shoulder. “You okay, man?” he asks gruffly.
“No, I’m fucking not, but there is still hope once I get my woman back,” I tell him.
I leave the meeting room and go in the direction of T-bags. “Trevor, man,” I call out to him, watching his back retreat into his room.
I follow him inside the room, closing the door behind me. He sinks down to his bed and places his head in his hands.
“Man, talk. What the fuck is going on with you?” I offer him a smoke, but he shakes his head. I light one up. I know this isn’t going to be anything good.
“Hangman’s my fuckin’ brother,” he mumbles out.
I narrow my eyes at him. “Hangman’s brother’s dead, man. Victor did it himself.”
He shakes his head and looks at me. “Victor didn’t kill me. He thought he did, but he didn’t. He stabbed me then shot me, but I lived. I didn’t even come to the club until I knew Victor was gone and the club was different. I hated the way things were in my brother’s club, so I took this as my out.”
