Bad Boss
Page 6
“You’re not walking home, are you?” He asked, a line etching between his brows. Was he concerned about me?
“It’s not that far away. I’ve done it before.”
“By yourself?”
I shrugged my shoulders. Normally Mindy would walk back with me. “It’s well lit, I have a cell phone.”
“You’re not walking home alone,” he snapped.
I tugged it out from his grasp. “Do you think you’re everyone’s boss all of the time? If I want to walk home, I’ll walk home!”
His jaw tensed as he scowled down at me. “Why are you so stubborn? Let me take you home.”
“You’re only doing this because you’re worried I’ll file a complaint!”
“You’re not going to file a complaint,” he scoffed, his face relaxing into a smug smile.
“Bull shit I won’t,” I snapped.
“You would have done it already,” he said. “I can either bring you home, or you can come with me.”
“I’m not having sex with you,” I scoffed.
He blinked. “I didn’t know making sure you’re safe was having sex.”
I glared at him. “I’m not a fucking moron. I know what you’re scheming inside that small male brain of yours.”
The bartender jogged toward us. “Not to break up the pissing match, but Mack, we should get going. The guys won’t wait long for us.”
“Sorry to keep you waiting,” I mumbled, turning on my heels and heading toward my apartment.
“She thought I wanted to have sex with her tonight,” Craft said loudly to the bartender.
The bartender laughed. “She must have a big ego. How do you stand for that in the office?”
I stopped in my tracks, spinning and marching back to them. They both watched me, smug smiles on their faces.
“I do NOT have an ego,” I snarled.
The bartender shrugged his shoulders. “Then come with us, or let him take you home. It’s late at night and some creep will try and pick you up.”
“Some creep has been watching me all night,” I muttered, glancing at Craft.
“Cody, I think she’s referring to your server.”
I smacked my lips. “Yeah, that was exactly who I was referring to.”
“Oh, and she’s sarcastic,” the bartender said.
“Ms. Neely, you’re showing all kinds of new sides to me,” Craft smiled.
“Why do you care if I walk home by myself so much?” I said, exasperated with talking to them.
“I don’t care,” Cody said stiffly, “But if it’s the only way I can get Mack to come to fantasy night, then I’ll help him get you home, unless you want to come with us?”
Tingles ran up my arms. “Fantasy night? Do I even want to know what that is?”
Cody and Craft swapped glances, their grins widening.
“Why don’t you come find out?” Cody offered. “You’ve got enough spice to keep up with the fellas.”
I held both of my hands up. “I’m not into that.”
“Who said it was that?” Craft teased.
Cody laughed. “Come on… what’s your name again?”
“Kelsey,” Craft said smoothly. He’d never used my first name before, and it sounded nice rolling off of his tongue. “She’s going to come.” Taking my hand, he laced our fingers together and began walking back toward the bar.
I was still in shock by how normal Craft sounded when he said my name, blindly being tugged along with him. I had no idea where we were going or what we were doing. I should have demanded he stop pulling me along and run the other way.
Who knew what fantasy night meant? Nothing about it sounded like it was something I should be doing with strange men. Well, nothing I should be doing with my boss. Who happened to give amazing oral and wonderful hip swirls.
Chapter Twelve
“Mr. Craft, maybe you should just take me home,” I said nervously, standing outside of the passenger side of his Maserati. He had opened the door, waiting for me to get into his car.
“Stop overthinking this,” he smiled. “I know you’re not tired, and I can tell you’re curious.”
“Whatever freaky shit you’re into, I’m going to doubt I’ll be down with.”
He adjusted his hat. “Get into the car, Kelsey.”
I took a sharp inhale, then did as he asked. Why was I following his orders? Was it because he was using my first name? Dumb. Not like it was a turn-on when someone else said my name.
He closed my side door and walked to his. The leather interior was appealing to my nostrils, and the faint scent of his cologne mixed perfectly with the new car smell.
I glanced at the clock. 12:15am. “Nothing good ever happens this late at night,” I sighed while buckling my seatbelt.
“I wouldn’t put a time stamp on trouble,” he smirked, checking his mirrors and starting his car. Peeling out of the parking spot, he added, “Seems to follow me no matter what hour of the day.”
He blew through the parking ramp and passed the VIP access exit. “Maybe I should jump out of the car then.”
“What fun would that be?”
This playful side of Craft was weird. I was used to the straight arrow, no-nonsense Craft. “I think it’d be quite painful actually,” I grumbled.
“Then let’s stay put. I’m already running late. The guys are going to grab me by the balls now.”
Was he being serious or hypothetical?
“Thankfully, we’re close by.” He weaved in and out of traffic at a rapid pace, and if he weren't such a smooth driver I’d have been fearful for my life.
“Here we are,” he smiled, parking on the street in front of an old and narrow building. The walls were thick concrete matching the steps that lead to the entrance. The bushes were overgrown and bars guarded the windows on the lower level.
“This doesn’t scream creepy at all,” I mumbled, taking in the unkempt unit.
“He just bought it a week or so ago. He’s working from the inside out.” I lifted a brow, and he scowled, then climbed out of his side of the car. I followed, well aware this might be the end. Craft was by my side before I could close the door. “Do you always judge a book by its cover?”
I shook my head, curious why his mood was shifting. The hard look and harsh tone was more his style, but a fraction of me was beginning to enjoy his more relaxed side.
“Then stop being one of those girls,” he snipped.
I crossed my arms, not budging from my spot. “You don’t know me.”
He narrowed his eyes. “I know more than you think.”
Now I was glowering at him. “Why? Because you boss me around all day and I comply? Newsflash, I have to do what you say at work!”
His eyes danced. “I know how you take your coffee, that you eat at the same boring restaurant every Friday for lunch, and that you never wear jeans on those God awful casual days my partner insists on having. And mostly, you’ll do what I say whenever I want.”
“Bullshit-” He wrapped an arm around my waist, pulling me flush with his body. The air sucked out of my lungs before I could finish my sentence.
He tilted his head downward, grabbing a hold of my chin with his other hand. Our mouths were inches apart. “I love this side of you,” he whispered, his breathing heavy. “How you know what you want and aren’t afraid to speak your mind, but, please, trust me.”
My own chest was heaving now. I wanted him to keep his hands on me, to stay close to him like we had in his office. “I trust you,” I whispered. “How do you know all of that about me?”
His thumb caressed my jaw, and the magnet that kept pulling us together was getting stronger. “Call me observant. A good employer knows a thing or two about his employees.” His eyes roamed down to my chest and back to my mouth. The hunger was blatantly there.
My body couldn’t resist anymore.
I stood up on my tip toes, meeting my mouth with his, tipping his hat upward. Both my arms wrapped around his neck, pulling him into me. He shuf
fled on his feet, at first out of surprise, but then held his ground, clasping me with both arms to his chest.
His tongue dove between my lips, searching and exploring. I was more than willing, loving his bold hands climbing from my back to my ass, squeezing both cheeks and grinding into my pelvis. He was ready to go, and I was willing to let him have his way with me on the hood of his expensive car.
Instead, he lifted me, keeping our mouths molded together, and passed through the broken fence. Surely he was priming me for whatever ‘fantasy’ night was. If so, he was doing a great job, because at the moment I was ready for anything. The heat of his body made switches flip in my brain that I didn’t know I had.
The lights from the building faded as he carried me.
My lips parted from his. “Where are you taking me?” I asked out of breath.
He nipped my bottom lip. “I can’t wait,” he groaned, kissing me again with full force.
I groaned into his mouth. I didn’t want to wait either.
He found a break in the shrubbery, the crinkling of lava rocks raked in my ears from his sneakers padding through them, then the coolness of the concrete was on my back.
Unlatching my legs from his waist, he set me down, then quickly began working on the button and zipper of my jeans.
I knocked off his hat and ran my hands through his hair while he worked, shoving my pants down to my ankles. He came up to kiss me, slipping his hand inside the barely there fabric.
His lip curled in satisfaction while his fingers slipped between my folds. “I like these panties when they’re under your dress.”
I smiled. “You’re such a pig.”
He wiggled his eyebrows, then sunk two fingers deep inside of me. I moaned from the exquisite feeling, wanting to be completely rid of my jeans, but they trapped my ankles together. “I’m not the one who wore scandalous undergarments to work, then clumsily dove face first on the floor.”
I fisted his hair, and he winced, but pumped his hand faster.
“So you decided to stare at my bare ass instead of helping me?” I groaned, loving the rhythm he had started to use.
“I’d have ripped them off you and fucked you right there on the floor,” he admitted, running his lips along the curve of my neck.
“You’re still a dick for not helping.”
He withdrew his hand and turned me, pinning me to the wall. “Never said I wasn’t. Put your hands on the wall.”
“Say please,” I demanded, looking over my shoulder.
His hand cupped my backside, his middle finger teasing my entrance overtop the lace. “I think you should say thank you first.”
“Thank you for what?” I pressed back into him, wanting his finger to break through the fabric and slip into me.
He bit down on my shoulder. “For not being greedy.”
“You’re always greedy,” I grumbled, wiggling my lower half impatiently.
“Not when it comes to fucking you,” he murmured into my ear, finally shoving his fingers inside of me.
I sighed in bliss and put both palms on the concrete.
“That a girl,” he encouraged. His fingers moved lazily inside of me, and the sound of his zipper coming undone was loud in the still night.
His hand left my needy hole, pulling the fabric of my underwear to the side. “This might be quick, love, but you’ll get yours, I promise.”
Pulling my hips backward with his other hand, I soon felt the smooth tip of his cock tempting my wet folds. He was warm and hard, and I wanted nothing more than to feel him buried inside of me again.
The rapid in and out of his breath was the only sound I could hear. The warmth of his hand crept up my spine, holding me down as he guided himself inside of me. My walls stretched, and I sighed with relief. He was snug inside of me, filling me to the brim. He stayed stilled, completely filling me. “Fuck, I fit you perfectly. I thought we might have a problem with our height difference and no heels, but damn.” He grunted. “You’re so tight, gripping me like a glove.”
The stillness of his hips was driving me wild, and I couldn’t help but push back into him. I wanted to spread my legs more, but was confined by my jeans. He’d done it on purpose, binding me in place how he wanted. Hands above my head and legs barely opened for the perfect entrance from behind.
His hips moved faster, and the stroke of his cock deep in my walls was perfect.
I should have been afraid of getting caught, or the fact that we were fucking without a condom again, but it felt so good to be bad with my boss.
The shallowed breathing from his mouth was a sure tell he was close, and there would be no way I could leave him hanging for the third time. It was empowering, but I didn’t want to, not now. I wanted to feel his hot seed burst inside of me.
Thank God for my doctor strongly suggesting the IUD on me.
His hand cupped my breast over top my tank top. “One of these days I’ll get you completely naked,” he whispered in my ear, snaking his other arm around my waist and palming my mound. His middle and pointer finger found my clit, circling it furiously while he thrusts deep inside of me.
I wanted to help him, feel his thick dick slip in and out with my hand against my nub. But I didn’t dare move my hands in fear he’d stop. I was on the ride now, and eager for the grand finale.
“I want to come at the same time,” he whispered along the shell of my ear. “You can’t escape me now, sweetheart.”
He circled his fingers the exact same way I showed him earlier in the day, and my legs began to quake in preparation. Craft realized I was close, keeping the same pace with his fingers and swiveled in a circular motion with his hips.
The bubble of passion burst inside of me, and I was gone, clenching my walls like a vice around him, sucking him in while my excitement flooded out of me. He turned my head with his hand, swallowing my moans of pleasure with his mouth.
He grunted and I spasmed, holding down my stomach with one hand as he came, twitching while he spurted inside of me. I could feel the pounding of his chest against my curved back. Our bodies fit together like a puzzle. His cock was still a rock inside of me when I calmed down from the rush, and if we weren’t outside of some strange person’s house, I might have had a grasp on reality.
I stepped toward the wall, causing him to slip from my core. With shaky hands, I adjusted my underwear, the moistness evident on my intimates. I’d feel him all night. I rolled my jeans up my legs and fiddled with the button, my hands still trembling from what had just happened.
Craft zipped up his fly, then ran his hands along my arms. He moved my hair to the side and kissed the back of my neck. “You’re supposed to be more relaxed.”
I was afraid to face him. “I think I just made things more complicated.”
His nose ran along my shoulder. “Don’t think like that. Not until Monday morning.” Taking my hand, he tugged me so I was facing him. His eyes were warm, a kindness flooding out of them. It helped my nerves to calm when he was relaxed.
“We should go inside, otherwise Cody will call us out on being late.”
The tremble in my hand crept up my arms and throughout my body. The moment we kissed I had completely forgotten why we were here. Fantasy night.
I glanced downward, the naughty sparkle in his eyes made me blush. The arousal in his pants was still there, and my heart pounded faster.
I hated this man with a passion this morning, but at the moment, all I wanted was to please him. “Promise me one thing?”
He lifted my chin, forcing me to look at him. “And that would be?”
I bit my lip and crossed my arms. “I don’t know what this thing tonight is all about, but, just don’t leave me by myself?”
His scowl returned. “No one will touch you. Not now.”
Taking my hand, he led me around the building and to the front porch.
What did he mean by not now? Did he think he had some sort of claim on me? Did my work status just get meshed with my personal status?

bsp; “Maybe you should just take me home,” I whispered, overwhelmed with all that had happened between us. I wasn’t ready for his alpha male ways to latch onto me like everything else in his life.
“What? Trying to run away from me again?”
“No. I’d quit my job if I wanted to run away from you.”
His brows pinched together. “You’re not planning on doing that, are you?”
I bit my bottom lip. I didn’t want to quit, but maybe that would be best. I couldn’t have him expecting sex whenever he wanted. I already failed miserably at playing hard to get.
He squeezed my hand. “You’ll be by my side the whole time, don’t quit on me now.”
“Alright. I’ll come to your fantasy night, whatever that means.”
He nodded his head in appeasement, and I ignored the anxious twitch in my gut. I trusted him. Craft wouldn’t let me out of his sight. He was a man of his word. When plans didn’t go his way, he would be enraged and do everything in his power to redirect them. It was one of the qualities I admired about him.
“Let’s go,” he said smoothly, opening the door to a foyer. The inside was a marble flooring leading to an elevator, rich mahogany wood paneling covered the walls, a door on each side of the foyer with a number. It was an apartment building, and way more attractive on the inside than the outside.
Craft lead me to the elevator, the ding loud when it came to us. The door slid open, and he tugged me inside. Mirrors surrounded us, an elegant chrome chandelier hung from the ceiling. Craft pushed a button for the top floor, and I held my breath.
Him caressing his thumb along mine should have felt soothing, but I was anything but calm. Fantasy Night. I kept picturing shirtless men walking around, flirting, and having an orgy or some other weird kinky shit that I was naïve to being a reality. Was Craft really into that crazy stuff? Guess I was going to find out.
Chapter Thirteen
Short breaths escaped my nostrils with each passing floor. There were only four, and the ride up felt like an eternity. Craft simply stood tall, his sexy dark hair mussed from my hands, a few locks falling flat across his forehead. Normally it was styled neatly, but this look matched his casual clothing.
