“So you think they're better for each other?”
“I think I love Olivia and I'm going to support her choices because of that.”
I couldn't explain it better. It just was what it was.
“Right,” Sky said, but I was pretty sure she would never be on a similar page. Some people wore wounds like armor for all to see. Sky seemed a lot like that.
Maybe she wasn't always this way but right now it was all I could see.
“Maybe you should go,” I suggested.
I watched her, wondering. Did she come over here actually thinking I’d be interested in talking shit about Olivia on the night before her wedding?
“I’m sorry,” she said. “You’re right. I don’t want to like Olivia.”
“That’s stupid,” I teased, repeating her earlier words.
I tugged her body into mine though and stared down at her skin. “You look hot,” I said, addressing the elephant in the room. “Did you dress up for me?”
“Little bit,” she smiled, red flushing her cheeks.
“Come on, lets drink something,” I said, touching my hand to her neck and wondering if I was going to snap her out of this crap mood today.
We could get shitfaced tonight, drown in laughter, and trade in fun secrets and lovely escalating orgasms back and forth. I was up for that. A distraction would be a really good thing.
“I’m glad you came over,” I smiled.
“Yeah?”
“Mmhmm,” I nodded. “Despite your bitterness, you’re really sexy and it’ll be nice to drown all this wedding business out. Tomorrow I’ll have my game face on for Olivia but right now I can be whoever I want to be.”
“Uhhuh, and who is that?” Sky asked, bold, her sexy plump lips just begging me to use them.
“Yours I guess. If you want me,” I said, staring down at her mouth and wondering if she could suspend her upset to have a good night alone with me here.
“Yes please,” she smiled.
I tugged her closer, taking her lips undermine and slipping my tongue inside to taste hers. “Mmmm,” I hummed.
There would be no moping tonight.
