Dirty Rock Star

Gabriel grabbed my hand, tugging me towards one of the various paths. He glanced up at the sky. The sun was setting, and the moon was peeking out.

I threaded our fingers together as we walked. The leaves were falling around us. It was so beautiful.

  Gabriel cleared his throat.

  “What?” I asked.

“Since we're giving this relationship thing a try,” his eyes were locked on the trees as we passed, “I was hoping that if things are going well in three months when the crew takes off...” he hesitated, “if you would like to go on tour with us. After all, you can work from anywhere with wi-fi, right?”

I blinked at him. “How long is your tour?”

“For three, maybe four months. Kia is still locking it in.”

That was a big step. Did he really feel so strongly about me already that he wanted to take me with him? Maybe he was worried I'd think he would cheat on me while he was gone. I mean, it was a legit concern, but I would never voice it. The guy was sex on a stick.

“Can I give you my answer on New Years? I mean, we haven't been dating for very long. Let's see how things go first.”

“That's fine.” He relaxed, and we continued our walk in comfortable silence.

After we made the whole circuit, I leaned up, kissing him on the cheek. “I should probably go.”

He sighed. “Okay. I’ll call you an Uber.”

“I can get it,” I told him, but he insisted, even going so far as to open the door for me. I laughed and kissed him on the lips, wondering what the future held for us.

  ***

For all of Gabriel's extravagance on stage, our dates were simple. We would eat at small diners, take leisurely strolls, and visit various parks to feed the geese. It felt so...normal. Like we were a boring old couple. But I didn't mind.

I was honestly surprised when he invited me out to try ballroom dancing. Somehow, it felt like a trap to get me to sleep with him. We'd been woefully celibate thanks to my insistence on making sure that his feelings were genuine. I wasn't sure I'd be able to handle our bodies pressed together for several hours to the sounds of romantic music. But maybe that was the point.

I looked in the mirror, getting ready. I had shaved everything, even gone the extra mile to get my eyebrows waxed. Who was I kidding? I was beyond ready to jump his bones.

Two could play at the teasing game. I chuckled as I picked out my outfit. He would get an ample view of my cleavage and legs in this dress.

I met him at the dance studio, finding it highly suspicious when there were no other cars parked in the lot. I walked in, trying to seem confident though I’d never been dancing before. I almost tripped when I saw Gabriel talking to the instructor. His back was to me, and he was in a suit. I’d never seen him in a suit. It fit him like a glove. Looks like I wasn't the only one who wasn't playing fair tonight.

The instructor saw me, and I barely composed myself before Gabriel turned.

“Private lessons?” I asked. “I thought we were learning with a group?” I accused him, glaring.

He just grinned. “You said you'd never danced before. I thought you would be more embarrassed with a group.”

  “Oh.” Well, that was sweet…

The instructor started our lessons by showing us each move. We practiced without music, learning the steps and count. Gabriel never complained when I stepped on his feet. Unlike me, he flowed across the dance floor smoothly. How did he know anything about ballroom dancing?

On our 10-minute break, I took the opportunity to ask. “How are you picking up on this so easily?”

“My mom was a dance teacher," he informed me.

“Wait, what?” I took a drink from my bottle of water.

“She taught ballroom and ballet.” He smiled softly.

The oddest image of him in a ballet entered my mind, and I blinked it away. “What did your dad do?”

  “He's a carpenter.”

  “Wow, that is…”

“A very interesting mix?” Gabriel offered, laughter dancing in his eyes. “My father built her dance studio from the ground up. Everything she wanted. He loved her.” He spoke of his mother in past tense. Not wanting to bring up a painful memory, I bit my lip to keep from asking how she died. “She passed away a few years ago from cancer,” he said as if he could read my mind. “Dad was devastated. We both were.”

  “I see… I’m sorry…”

Before we could continue our conversation, the instructor was calling us back to the dance floor. With music now playing, dancing was so much more sensual. It didn’t help that Gabriel brushed against me far more than necessary. I tripped a few times, grabbing him to stabilize myself. He tried his best not to laugh, but I could see it traveling up his throat before he stopped himself.

By the end of the lesson, I was exhausted. Who knew dancing was so much work? Suddenly, I had more of an appreciation for all of the dancing Gabriel and his band did on stage.

We caught an Uber to his place, and he smiled. “Would you like to come up?”

I closed my eyes. Okay, I give in. I needed to feel his naked body against me. I was done with this little no sex thing.

“Sure.” I grabbed his hand, and he helped me out.

We walked into his apartment, and the door had barely closed before he pushed me up against a wall to kiss me. There was no gentleness, just passion. I gasped, our tongues intertwining. My hands threaded into his hair, pulling out the hair tie holding it back. He grabbed my ass, lifting me up, and I wrapped my legs around him for support.

Gabriel pulled back slightly. “I hope you're as hungry for this as I am. It's been so hard not to touch you, Abby. I’ve wanted to take you ever since that con.”

I laughed. “Well then, what are you waiting for?”

He growled, capturing my lips again and rubbing his delicious body against me. I groaned. Eyes shut, I pushed his jacket off and unbuttoned his shirt. My hands ran up his chest, and I could hear a deep need rumbling in his throat.

Moving away from the wall, he walked as if I weighed nothing. Gabriel kicked open his bedroom door, tossing me on the bed. I barely had time to look around before he pounced on me. I gasped as he tugged at my dress, pulling it over my head.

His thumb gently ran across my nipple over the lace bra I was wearing. I whimpered as it hardened. He leaned down, sucking on it through the material, and I moaned, my hands returning to his hair. Oh god, I needed his mouth on me everywhere.

He gave the same treatment to the other nipple, and they were aching by the time he finished.

“Let me see you,” I breathed, wanting him naked.

Gabriel complied, taking off his pants. Seeing him commando again, my pussy moistened. He was enlarged and ready, already dripping.

I reached towards him, but he batted my hand away. “Oh no, I’ve been waiting far too long to taste you. If you touch me, I might just take you here.” The desire in his eyes had me trembling. Instead of touching him, I weaved my hands in his bed sheets, needing to touch something.

Gabriel slowly slid off my underwear, licking his lips. I closed my eyes, wanting him inside of me, buried deep. The thought of fisting my hand in his hair and riding him hard was more than appealing, but I knew he wanted control, and I had made him wait long enough for this.

I felt him push my legs wide, and I gasped when his tongue darted in to taste me. Unable to stop myself, I curved towards him. With each lick, he delved deeper. I whimpered as he flicked my clit, running it between his fingers as he devoured me.

“Gabriel!” I pleaded, heat coursing through me.

He pulled back. “What, Abby?” he murmured. He looked so hot between my legs.

“Please, fuck me,” I begged, and he laughed, straightening himself.

Gabriel crawled up my body, and I wrapped my hands around his neck, pulling him down for a kiss. He didn’t fight. His lips tasted like me.

Despite the closeness, he still wouldn’t enter me. I broke the kiss, giving him a desperately w
anton look.

Gabriel ran his thumb over my entrance, flicking my clit one more time before gripping my ass and thrusting inside. I moaned when he finally filled me, wrapping my legs around him to keep him from leaving. He nuzzled my neck, nibbling.

“Gabriel, move!” I demanded, trying to get him deeper.

He acquiesced, slowly pulling back before surging forward. I moaned as he hit my core, waves of pleasure rocking me. Tightening my grip, I urged him on, rising with each of his thrusts to give him a better angle.

“You're so wet and tight.” He kissed me, bucking harder.

“Faster!” I panted. My greedy body wanted every hard inch of him inside of me.

His breath came out in gasps as I pushed him to his limit. With one last grunt, he reached down to rub my clit, sending me over the edge. I screamed his name as he came inside of me, his cock pulsing wildly.

Gabriel collapsed on top of me, completely spent. I unlocked my legs, gasping for breath as I came down from my earth-shattering climax.

“That was…” I turned to look at him, and he was grinning.

“Oh, we're not done, Abby. I waited too long to touch you. We are far from done.” He pulled me on top of him, already beginning to harden again. “Get ready for a long night of screaming my name.”

  EPILOGUE

Going on tour with Gabriel was a lot less exciting than it had sounded. I worked mostly from hotels, meeting clients around the region. Traveling expanded my network, and with Gabriel’s help at each concert, I met different bands, obtaining new contracts. I was starting to become well known in the indie rock scene, something I had never expected.

After we got back, I didn’t hear from Gabriel for several days. I figured he was busy planning their next CD. He kept calling me his muse and would take off to write songs at the oddest of times, like in the middle of dinner or a movie. It could be a bit annoying at times, but who was I to stand in his way when inspiration hit him.

I was admittedly happy to return home, though I never would have told Gabriel that. Being on the road all the time was exhausting. Not to mention the fact that I missed gaming. While Gabriel was on tour, I had only been casually gaming from my laptop. I was never happier than when I was able to boot up my desktop and greet my fans.

I dove into games I hadn’t played, working on improving my rank. I took a few days to repair my reputation and sign up for a gamer festival. I had attended one on our travels, but I hadn't had time to compete.

After a few days of hardcore gaming, I was starting to become annoyed that Gabriel hadn’t called or texted. Was he angry at me? I mean, we had laughed and kissed when he dropped me off…

Grumbling, I began cooking a quick dinner, startled by a knock at my door. I opened it, looking rumpled and sleep deprived from my gaming session. Standing there, was Gabriel.

My expression immediately changed into a scowl. “Where have you been? You haven’t returned any of my texts.”

  “Busy.” He grinned, stepping in.

“Doing what?!” I closed the door behind him.

  “Coordinating my schedule.”

“Why?” I asked. It was obvious that he was hiding something behind his back.

“So that…” he shoved the items in my face triumphantly, “we can go to this!”

I gasped. In his hands were two tickets to Blizzcon. It always sold out super-fast.

  “No. How did you…?”

“I had to do some negotiating to get them, but I knew it meant a lot to you. Are you going to continue being mad at me, or can I stay for dinner?” He leaned down and kissed me.

“You can stay forever!” I laughed, taking the tickets and pinning them to the fridge with a magnet.

Six months from now, we would be going to Blizzcon.

  ***

Between his work and mine, we had to make time for each other. I didn’t go with him on his next tour, trying my best to trust him around the hordes of screaming women who always seemed to be throwing themselves at him. When he was only a few states away, I’d travel out and cheer for him.

His new songs only thrust the band further into popularity. We Skyped and talked almost every day, despite our busy schedules. I introduced him to some casual games, and we played together online. He particularly liked Ark. Apparently, dinosaurs were his passion as a kid. It was a fun way to spend time together, separated by hundreds of miles. Whenever he was back in town, he would crash at my place, and I would cook for him.

Blizzcon finally came around. We flew out to California together, and I booked us a room at a nearby hotel. Convincing him to cosplay with me was surprisingly easy. Gabriel had no idea who the character was, but he rolled with it.

The morning of the con, we spent six hours getting ready before heading in, tickets in hand.

“Our first con together,” he teased, pressing a kiss to my forehead, careful not to mess up my makeup.

“Well, you did stalk me at that one con,” I reminded him with a chuckle.

  “That doesn’t count,” Gabriel insisted.

I dragged him to all of the booths and panels. By evening, he was moaning and groaning.

“You dance on stage for a living! How does walking hurt?!” I growled, tugging him to one of the rare open benches so he could sit down. “Don’t make me leave you here!” I threatened once I was ready to return to exploring. There were so many people, so many things to see.

“You would never leave me,” he laughed.

“I hate that you're right.” I smacked his shoulder.

“Oh, Abby. There was something I wanted to talk to you about….” Gabriel looked a bit nervous.

  “What?” I arched a brow.

He glanced around and shook his head. “Come on. It's too loud here.” He tugged me up and towards the hall, pulling me into an unoccupied room.

“Are you okay? Feeling sick?” I touched his forehead, worried. “If you aren’t feeling good, we can go back to the hotel.”

Gabriel laughed, grasping my hand gently. “That's not it, Abby. I just wanted to make sure you could hear me.”

“Okay… What has gotten into you?” He was acting weird.

Gabriel cleared his throat. “I’m not usually one for public displays…”

I laughed. That's exactly what he was for. My laughter dried up as I realized he was being serious.

“Like I said, it's been one hell of a year. It was great having you travel with me. I don’t usually do serious. You know me. I’m a fun rocker guy. But, we've been serious for about a year now…”

What on earth was he rambling about?

“Ugh, it was smoother in my head.” He growled, and I patted his hand.

“Whatever it is, go ahead. I’m listening,” I said gently, and he lost the strained look.

“Let me try again. I’m not doing this right.”

  “Doing what?”

  “Proposing.”

  “Wait… what?”

Gabriel got down on one knee. “I want us to continue being serious, far into the future. I want you to be more than a rocker girlfriend and amazing web designer. I want us to be a permanent us…” He looked absolutely ridiculous dressed as a character, but I felt the tears welling in my eyes as he presented me with a beautiful ring covered in diamonds and rubies. “Is that a yes… or a..?”

Before he could finish, I dove onto him, kissing him. “Yes. I didn’t expect this…but yes.”

He tumbled to the ground, laughing and kissing me back.

Grabbing my hand, he placed the ring on my finger. “Your makeup is getting messed up,” he teased.

“I don’t care,” I said, standing and pulling him to his feet. “Come on.”

  “Where are we going?”

I turned, arching an eyebrow. “Where do you think we're going?”

Gabriel shut up and let me drag him towards our hotel room.

  THE END.

Bonus Excerpt from The Virgin Dating Game

I do not want to be known as the thirty-year-old virgin, but I'm quickly getting there.

It's not like I haven't had any chance to lose my V card. There was this one guy right after high school that I dated who tried to get in my pants. Another guy I worked with at a gas station shortly before I started college. I even brought home a hot one-night stand from a club only to change my mind at the last minute.

For most of my teenage and young adult life, I felt like losing my virginity should be something special—that I should wait for the right man. And while I still want it to be epic, I'm done waiting. Mr. Right hasn't come along yet, and if I wait much longer, I'm going to end up a sexless spinster.

Tonight is The SX Club's annual Virgin Dating Game night. I signed up for their newsletter a long time ago when my friend and her boyfriend started going but have yet to attend. They've invited me numerous times, but the thought of showing up single is daunting. The vast majority of the year, it's a swingers club. Once a month, they have a themed night. Nothing they've ever had going on has piqued my interest until now.
