A Good Girl
Page 20
Dominic towers above me, his erection standing proud and temptingly close. The wicked look on his face tells me that he knows exactly where my thoughts are headed. Full of anticipation of that moment when I feel his delicious body on top of me, just before he plunges into me.
The mattress dips under his weight, and I scoot over to make room. He lies on his side facing me, cupping my face, forcing me to look at him. Slowly his palm skates down my neck, shoulder, over my chest and down to rest on my tummy. A shuddery breath escapes me. I wasn’t expecting him to be so gentle and tender. Last night was rushed, frantic, and full of lust and need. Now we can take our time and enjoy each other.
“You are beautiful,” he murmurs, more to himself. Color floods my cheeks, not from his words, but from the way he looks at me.
“Dominic.” Any other time I would be embarrassed at how breathless my voice sounds, but he knows I want him. He has always known; I didn't do as good a job as I thought at hiding it.
“Yes, babe?" Long fingers trace invisible patterns on my skin and shivers skitter up my stomach, creating goosebumps in their wake.
Instead of telling him what I want and ruining the moment, I roll on to my side and snuggle into his body. My leg hooks over his hip and his hand rests on my thigh, slowly exerting slight pressure. Simultaneously my index finger wanders down his chest, over his abs to the trail of hair beneath his navel that fascinates me. His eyelids droop and his breathing falters ever so slightly. This is the only indication of how affected he is. Well, apart from the powerful erection pressing against me.
In one smooth motion, Dominic rolls me under him, bracing his weight on his forearms so he doesn't crush me. Not that I would mind, there is something comforting about having his solid weight on top of me. The tip of his cock nudges into me, sending a spark of electricity rocketing through my body. My gasp causes his eyes to flare with suppressed desire.
“Dominic,” I murmur, squirming beneath him while he teases me, so close but not there yet.
“What do you want, babe?” He speaks into my hair as he buries his head into my neck with slow, spine-tingling brushes of his lips.
I can't stand it anymore. “Fuck me, please.” So much for not being crass.
“Well, when you put it like that, how can I refuse?” He shifts, reaching for his discarded jeans that are lying on the floor. With a groan, he drops his head to the curve of my neck.
“Dammit, I don't have a condom.” Disappointment washes over me and he huffs out air against my neck.
“It’s okay. I’m on the pill and I’m clean, I got tested recently.” The warmth of his breath tickling my neck is driving me wild. I'm glad that he can’t see the embarrassment flare on my face. This isn't the time for me to spell out exactly why I felt the need to be tested.
Finally, he looks at me, his eyes tender and a small smile is on his lips. “I’ve never been with anyone without a condom,” he assures me before kissing me, his tongue leaves no inch of my mouth unexplored. Eagerly I kiss him back, my hands roaming up his back before threading through his hair.
Still nestled between my legs he starts to inch his way inside me. The feeling takes my breath away until he slams the last few inches into me and all the air is pushed out of my lungs. A groan rumbles from him and he stills. I press kisses against his chest, tiny little licks tasting the saltiness of his skin. Then he moves and boy, does it feel good.
His chest muffles my small cries of pleasure as I meet each thrust of his hips as he drives deeper into me. It feels even more amazing than last night. It’s hard to breathe properly and every time he pushes into me, another moan slips past my lips.
“You feel so good, Charlie.” I smile against his skin; it's nice hearing him use my real name. The soft kisses he peppers down my neck drive me insane and I sink back onto the mattress. My hands skim down his chest and over each rippling abdominal muscle, moving further down to where he disappears inside me. My hand takes hold of the base of his cock and my fingers curl underneath, cupping his balls. Dominic moans, and I feel my climax start to build as he thrusts harder, driving me even closer.
“Dominic, harder, I’m going to come.” I gasp as he captures my mouth with his.
He pumps into me harder as I reach the peak and find my release tightening around his dick. The rush of hot liquid accompanied by his loud groan signals the release of his orgasm. Shifting his weight to the side, he buries his head in my neck as I run my hands up his back, his breath coming in gasps.
“That was intense; you felt amazing.” His mouth against my neck muffles his voice.
“I bet you say that to all the girls,” I joke.
He raises his head, a frown etched on his face. “No because I have never been with anyone like you or someone I’ve wanted to spend the whole night with.”
“Me, neither,” I admit. “You know, I never stayed the whole night with anyone until you,” I confess sheepishly.
“Seriously?” His eyebrows arch in surprise.
“I didn’t like the physical contact. I hated being touched. Well, apart from when you touch me.” He is staring at me in amazement because I've never objected to him touching me.
“So, how many guys have you been with?” He has a smile on his face, but he doesn't look at me, more focused on brushing strands of hair from my face.
“You don’t want to know,” I say, not entirely joking.
“Do you even remember?” he jokes, which earns him a smack on the ass.
“Of course, I do.” I’m indignant but then smile guiltily. “Well, maybe not their names. It’s not like I went out with the intention of sleeping with someone. I would get drunk, and it seemed a good idea at the time. Then in the cold light of day it didn’t so I would sneak out.”
He gives a deep throaty laugh. “I knew you weren’t as innocent as you seemed, all those times you wiggled your ass against my cock. That dirty mind and dirtier mouth of yours, not to mention our fooling around.” He strokes my face, smiling as he remembers it.
“Here I was thinking I was pulling off the whole innocent, wholesome college girl thing,” I grumble.
“Not at all. You hid that rockin’ body well, but there was something about your attitude. I knew you were fighting me every step of the way.” He flashes me his cocky smile, and I melt.
“I was. I have been trying to fight the intense attraction, and the way I felt about you since I first saw you. You are hard to resist, but last night I’d had enough of fighting it. I thought I’d lost you, you know. My mom warned me and then last week while I was trying to avoid you I kept seeing you with other girls. I thought I had.” I raise myself up on my elbows to look at him properly while he continues to stroke a finger down my neck.
“Yeah, sorry, I was doing it to piss you off. I thought I could force your hand although I was beginning to think that it had backfired on me. You are one stubborn woman.”
I kiss him softly on the lips. “It’s okay, I understand. It wasn’t just that, I realized then that you had gotten under my skin. I just didn’t want to get in too deep for me to tell you about my past and you reject me.”
For a long time, we lay wrapped in each other’s arms. Dominic plays with my hair while I rest comfortably on his chest. This is all new to me, and I love this whole cuddling and being intimate thing.
“Are you sure it doesn’t bother you now that I’ve told you?” I lean back slightly to look at him.
“It was in the past, and we all have a past. I want us to be together, no one else,” he says and his voice dips as he brings his lips down to kiss me gently.
“I can handle that. I don’t like the thought of you with other women, either.” Those words appease my insecurities.
“There has been no one since I met you. Even before, I’ve never felt like this about anyone else. It is only you,” he assures me, sealing my mouth with his.
“I want to see these tattoos of yours again.’ He sits up and grins at me. “Which ones can’t you remember getting?
I roll over to show him the little pair of angel wings tattooed on my shoulder, and he traces them with his fingers. Shifting onto my side, I show him the ivy trailing down my thigh. Silently I lie on my back and point to the flower tattoo that curves over my hip.
“I got this one when I was drunk. I can’t really remember that night, it is a bit hazy, although I do remember the backseat of someone’s car afterward,” I say shyly, not sure if it might be too much information but I am surprised when he laughs.
“I like them,” he says his lips following the trail of ivy up my leg and then he does the same with the flower.
“I only remember getting the angel wings. I woke up with the others and couldn’t remember how I got them.” It hits me how off the rails I must have been.
Still laying between my legs, I feel his erection grow again. My smile widens as he looks up at me.
“You made me wait a very long time,” he murmurs, pushing into me at a maddeningly slow pace that has me moaning and whimpering before he makes love to me slowly this time.

The doorknob rattles as I lie in Dominic’s arms—after my third orgasm—making me jump up with fright. Not sure whether to get dressed or hide under the covers, I reach down to grab my shorts and hold them to my chest. Dominic, on the other hand, doesn’t look bothered at all and stays where he is, lying naked on the bed.
“It’s Iris,” I hiss at him.
“I’m not bothered who knows.” He shrugs, his lips tipping up in a lazy smile and folds his arms behind his head.
“At least put your jeans on, I don’t want to see her drool over the sight of your body.” I toss him his jeans, which he pulls on and lies down again. With a sexy grin, he watches as I pull on my shorts and tank top and jump back into his arms, going for the nonchalant, we haven’t been up to anything look, although Iris will not be fooled. Dominic kisses me on the head, a big smile on his face.
“Why are you so happy?” I narrow my gaze at him.
“Because I’m here with you, at last.” His grin widens and he leans down to kisses me passionately on the lips. His kiss brings color to my cheeks and leaves me gasping for breath.
Iris finally bursts through the door, her eyes widening with surprise when she sees us wrapped in each other’s arms. A smile spreads slowly over her lips.
“About time you two finally got it together,” she says exasperated. Suddenly, I feel embarrassed and a little bit silly that I wasted so much time. I duck my head against his chest.
“Wait a minute, why are you here? I thought you would be at Dominic’s.” Her eyes narrow in on me.
“Um, well, there was a little misunderstanding and I came back.”
“She snuck out,” Dominic supplies helpfully, arching a brow as he looks at me.
“Thanks for that,” I mutter.
Iris rolls her eyes and lets out a heavy sigh. “I don’t even want to know. Seeing as you are both here now, does this mean you are together?” she asks, blunt and to the point as ever. Her eyes dare me to deny that there is something going on between us, but I’m not going to, not anymore. I want him and don’t care who knows. Dominic still can’t wipe the smile off his face.
“Yep, she’s mine. I told her she would be.” He leans down to kiss me pulling me hard against his delicious body. I laugh through his kisses and pinch at his waist.
“You sound like a stalker, you know that, right?” I grumble but feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
“What? It’s the truth,” he protests, and I roll my eyes at him. Iris walks past us to the bathroom shaking her head.
“Let’s go back to mine,” he whispers, kissing just below my ear. “I have a much bigger bed, and no one will bother us.” I nod eagerly; it really has been too long since I’ve had sex and I can’t get enough of him. My stomach flips at the thought of being with him in his king-size bed and having no interruptions; I jump out of bed and pull on my clothes at lightning speed.

Dominic lays on his back, sheets tangled around his legs with a light sheen of sweat covering his tanned muscular body. It is impossible not to drool, even after all this time, the sight of him still makes my stomach clench. My fingers run through his hair, and I can’t quite believe that I am here with him, naked in his bed. The small red hickey that I gave him earlier when he made me come for the fourth time should fade by Monday.
Dominic brushes hair out my eyes, and I love that he is just as bad and has to keep touching me.
“Will you come home with me next weekend?” I ask nervously. “I need to see my mom. I know she’ll be glad to know we’ve sorted things out. She told me to stop pushing you away and that I had nothing to be ashamed off. She didn’t agree totally with my reinvention. Oh yeah and she is getting married and wants me to meet her fiancé.” I frown, still a bit hurt that I knew nothing about him.
Dominic’s eyes light up and he pulls me tighter to him, my chest brushing against his and I feel him start to grow against my bare leg.
“Your mom's getting married?”
“Yeah, apparently they got engaged a couple of weeks ago.” I pause. “She didn't even tell me that she was seeing anyone.”
“Of course, I'll come home with you. Maddie has asked a few of us to go to her beach house this weekend. We could go after your mom’s? It will be more fun if you're there.”
“I'd like that.”
“Wait, will I have to fight off lots of guys because I've taken you off the market?”
I elbow him. “Hardly, although a lot of girls will be pleased their boyfriends are safe.” I wink and his eyes widen.
“I’m joking. Seriously, I have never been with anyone who had a girlfriend. I bet a lot of girls here will be unhappy when they find out about us.” I draw circles on his chest and down to his abs, which fascinate me. I could look at him naked all day and not get bored.
“Nah, I think they were starting to get the message that I was only interested in one person.” He winks back at me.
“Iris said she hadn’t seen you with other girls, and I wondered if it was something to do with me,” I confess. Although, at the time, I told her that she was being silly, but it was just because I didn’t want to hope that he might want me.
“I wanted you. How could I convince you if I had different girls hanging around? I want everyone to know we’re together.” His eyes are bright.
“How come you have never had a girlfriend after Mia?” I ask, curious.
“Because I’m in a band, girls kind of threw themselves at me. And while I took advantage of the attention, I never really connected with any of them. It wasn’t until I met you that it all changed. When I wasn’t with you, I thought about you constantly. I wanted to be with you all the time, and when you made it clear you weren’t going to sleep with me, I wanted to be with you even more. I suppose you had the right idea all along. Just so you know, I would have still wanted to be with you even if you had slept with me in the beginning.”
“I would have pushed you away. I would have thought I wasn’t good enough to be with you.”
“I’m glad you didn’t,” he says before pulling me into his arms, which is officially my favorite place to be.
Chapter Thirteen
The scenery passes by the window I’ve been staring out of for the past hour in a blur. We’re making a flying visit to Mom’s to meet her fiancé, and Maddie has invited us to her beach house. My foot taps along with the music and my thumbnail is bitten to the quick. Every so often Dominic glances at me.
“Babe, why are you so restless? Are you nervous?” he asks, concern in his voice. Dammit, he can read me like a book.
“A little.” I shift in my seat to face him.
“About me meeting your mom?”
“No, I think my mom will like you just fine, especially if the last time she saw you is anything to go by.” I frown as I remember the night they met briefly.
“I’m nervous about meeting her new boyfriend, well fiancé, I supp
ose.”
“Don’t be.”
“None of her other boyfriends lasted long enough for me to meet them.”
“It’s good that she’s got someone now that you’re away. Plus, you’ve got me.” His words soothe me, and I sit back in my seat and relax a little, my worry alleviated slightly.
Dominic’s hand reaches for mine as he drives, his thumb brushing over my knuckles and even that small amount of contact is driving me wild.
Before long, we pull up outside her house, which is just as well because I was ready to tell him to pull over. As we walk up the path, Dominic’s hand slips reassuringly in mine, giving it a light squeeze. I offer up a small smile to let him know I'm okay. It feels weird being back here; it doesn't really feel like home anymore. The thought of coming back and spending a whole summer without Iris or Dominic sends a small frisson of panic coursing through me. There is no way that is happening.
As we stand on the porch, I fumble in my pocket for my keys while Dominic distracts me by feathering little kisses along the side of my neck. Warm hands slide around my waist, under my T-shirt, and gently pull me back into his body. I give up looking for the key and turn around to face him, letting my hands travel up his back. Dominic’s tongue flicks along my jawline to my ear.
“I can’t wait to get you back to Maddie’s and get you naked.”
My whimper is response enough and his mouth claims mine, his tongue hot and impatient as it runs along my lip.
The door is yanked open, and we jump apart like naughty teenagers being caught doing something they shouldn’t.
“Charlotte, honey, I'm so glad you're here. And you, too, Dominic. Come in, come in.” Mom grabs me in her arms and squeezes me tightly. When I manage to extract myself, I follow her inside.
