He grinned at her. He scooped her off her feet and headed for the door, and with a bit of help from her, they headed inside. Gareth carried her straight up the stairs. “All the rooms are soundproof up here. The main floor we didn’t really bother with, except for the media room. The basement is just because we occasionally are up in the dead of the night working out, and that can get noisy.”

“Ah, well, wake me one night when you’re up and working out. I would like to see that.” Camilla brushed her lips against the side of his neck and shuddered in reaction. “God, you taste yummy,” she whispered.

She felt his shiver as he shouldered his way into his room. He kicked the door shut before moving to toss her onto the bed. “One sec,” he muttered. The click of a lock explained why he’d left her floundering on his bed. His quilt had pretty much attacked her as soon as he’d dropped her, but then he was back. Gareth tugged a piece of material off her face and grinned. “What are you doing?” he asked, batting his lashes at her.

“Getting lost in your blankets,” she retorted. “And waiting on you. You just dropped me and then took off. Whatever is a girl to do?” she asked with a smile. “Come on, Gareth, get your happy, sexy ass down here and make the bounce you just gave me all better.”

“Naked first, bounce later.” He grabbed one of her legs and pulled off her runner, tossing it to the floor, before doing the same with the second one. Her socks went flying a moment before he worked on her pants. “Come on, woman. Why aren’t you helping me get you out of your four hundred flippin’ layers?”

“I don’t have on that many layers,” she said with a laugh. “How about you work on your own clothes and I will work on mine?” She tugged her shirt off and tossed it then fumbled with the clasps of her bra. “Naked, Gareth. Come on, big guy.”

“Right, naked,” he said staring down at her. A moment later he seemed to shake himself out of whatever trance he’d been in. Off came his boots, followed by socks, and then he ditched his shirt and jeans. No underwear.

“Damn, that’s hot.” Camilla licked her lips. “That you go commando as well. I love it.” She leaned in and touched her fingers to his cock, stroking her finger along the turgid flesh. “I need … I need you so much.”

He moved out of her range and shook his finger at her. “Naked, completely. You’re still hiding way too much flesh from me, and here I am, in my birthday suit, hanging in the breeze. So to speak.” Gareth gave a lopsided grin.

“Only my panties.” She kicked them off with a laugh. Her body still held the marks of Mikhail’s earlier possession of her body, but she didn’t care. “Now, here we are, both of us naked. Do you have condoms so that we can play a bit?” There was only a moment’s hesitation before she added, “Because I want to be with both of you when we go without the condoms.”

He stared at her with a blank expression before he shot a look around. “Yes, somewhere in here,” he muttered, frowning suddenly. He slid off the bed, went to the nightstand, and dug through the drawer. “Aha! We have success.” Gareth tossed her the box before he jumped back onto the bed with her.

“Hot damn.” She reached out and grabbed hold of him, her hand on his shoulder to pull him closer. “Now then, I think that you were saying something about making me scream?” She poked the proverbial bear, but couldn’t seem to help herself.

“I do believe I did,” he said, a grin on his face. Pressing a kiss to her lips, he stroked a light hand over her body gently, brushing her breasts before sliding lower. He nipped at her lip and began to tease his lips over her skin, working his way in a slow, lazy path down her body.

“Oh, you are doing very well in making that happen so far.” Camilla gasped and arched. “I think that if you keep doing that, what you are doing now, and you are going to have me going over that edge more and more.”

“Good.” Gareth bit gently at her breast. Flicking his tongue out, he teased her nipple as he slid a finger between her folds to stroke her pussy. He tormented her lightly while his mouth worked on her breasts.

“Oh, hell yes. Keep doing things like that and we’ll definitely go somewhere.” She was teasing, laughing and loving it. “So good.”

Apparently, he wasn’t going to let her guide him. Biting her other breast gently he began to kiss his way down her stomach, occasionally using his chin and the stubble there to scrape her skin lightly. Each time he slid his tongue over the small mark to soothe any sting away. He also kept working his way lower as his fingers slid up and down between her folds, just grazing her clit each time.

Camilla writhed under him. Her body was sensitized to the point that she could come with just the smallest hint of pressure. “Gareth.” She growled his name. She was ready to take his head off if they didn’t do something more, and soon!

She felt his chuckle through her sensitive body. Everything was magnified: every touch, every lick, every single nip of his teeth. He still headed south, not fast enough, but he seemed to be closing in on where she wanted him. When his mouth latched onto her clit, she nearly came off the bed.

Camilla’s back bowed and her hands moved to his head and held him there. “Hell yes.” She wiggled under him to try to get him moving just a bit more. When his fingers began to tease her even higher, she whimpered. “Gareth.” She moaned. “Please.”

Her pussy opened easily for the press of the two fingers he thrust into her. A small shot of pleasure-based pain pulsed from her clit—he’d nipped at her tight nub as he’d curled his fingers while he thrust them, hard and fast.

Camilla was on fire. Gareth played her body as if he had been working her pussy for years. He hummed then; goddamn, but the man knew her weaknesses! Camilla’s fingers curled in the bedding. She couldn’t speak, she could only gasp for air and hold on for all she was worth as wave after wave of pleasure assaulted her.

Her orgasm had her whole body shuddering when she vaguely heard humming. Odd.

He hummed a tune, something her brain recognized but she couldn’t quite grasp. Every so often, he changed the pitch, humming deeper or higher. Each change sent a different vibration through her body. He was driving her insane. Then one of his fingers pressed to her anus, rubbing and slipping in just a little.

“Holy Christ.” Camilla all but came off the bed when his finger rubbed and then pressed into her ass. She whimpered. “Again.”

“Easy,” he whispered against her slick flesh. “Try and relax, Camilla. You’re so damn tight I’m terrified of hurting you, sweetheart.” His tongue slid over her clit, flicking the sensitive bud as he eased his finger deeper into her ass.

Camilla just nodded and looked down at him. “You aren’t hurting me. That feels so damn good I could just continue to lay here orgasming, but that wouldn’t be fair to you. God, I need you,” she admitted bluntly. “But that feels so freaking good, too.”

“How about another orgasm before I fuck you good and hard?” He thrust deeper before gently drawing out and thrusting it in again. Gareth’s mouth found her clit again, sucking on the nub as he slid his fingers in and out of her pussy and ass.

“I am so good with that.” Camilla moaned and began to move against Gareth’s far-too-clever fingers. She shifted and whimpered from time to time, but finally screamed his name once more as she climaxed.

“Perfect.” His fingers slid from her body, leaving her feeling empty. A crinkling sound caught her attention, and she watched as he rolled a condom on his cock. Gareth moved over her a moment later, his shaft pressing to her pulsating pussy, but he didn’t thrust in. He waited, watching her, giving her a chance to catch her breath.

Camilla gave him a well-satisfied smile. “I could become very, very accustomed to having you making love with me, having you turning me into putty.” Oh, and she could, too. He’d made her bones turn to liquid.

“Plan on getting accustomed to it.” With a flex of his hips, he pressed slowly through her slick folds and deep into her body. He pulled out nearly all the way before thrusting back in harder, rocking h
er and the bed slightly.

Camilla’s legs were now up and around Gareth’s hips. Her hands on his shoulders, she watched his face as he pleasured them both. “Perfect.” She fit him like a glove. Every thrust into her body made her squirm and ache, made her desperate and needy.

Gareth smiled down at her and lowered his head to kiss her. He teased her lips, never letting her get a full kiss out of him as he slammed into her pussy over and over.

Camilla moved with Gareth. Every inch of his body entering hers and every gasp she took brought her that much closer to her orgasm, one that much closer to her flying apart with the heavens waiting for her, and him there to catch her. “There,” she whimpered. “Perfect, right there.”

She felt his lips curl against hers. He didn’t question her, just thrust into her, hitting the same spot each time. Over and over, his cock rammed into her, pushing her closer to the edge faster than should have been possible.

Camilla didn’t last long. She’d known that being with him would be explosive, but nothing could have ever prepared her for her insane reaction to him or the amazing feeling of him sliding in and out of her body. She screamed, her toes curling and whole body shuddering from the force of her orgasm.

Gareth didn’t slow—instead, he picked up the pace. He fucked harder as her body clenched on his cock. Just as she peaked in another orgasm, her body shuddering hard, he let go. Her name was a loud, strangled shout before he collapsed over her body. Their breaths intermingled as they lay in a heap of tangled limbs.

Camilla panted and gasped for air. Limp as a wet noodle, she couldn’t have moved if someone had paid her in that moment. “Mercy,” she said finally with a grin. “That was simply amazing. I think we should do that often.”

  Chapter Ten

Chaos would have been an understatement for the activity on the main floor when Camilla came down the next morning. All the men were dressed in black, head to toe, and had various bags in hand. They moved at fast paces, tossing things across the room to one another, and talking over one another in that way they had.

Gareth caught sight of her first and moved closer. “Hey,” he said with a smile. “Did you sleep well?” He leaned in to kiss her gently.

“Yes, I slept marvelously.” She frowned as she looked around the room. “What’s going on here? You all look as if you’re ready to go into battle. That’s not happening, is it?” she asked hopefully.

“Actually, it is,” he told her. “We’re heading out on a mission. There’s been an attack on a town one state over we need to go and investigate. From the sounds of things, it was a were attack, broad daylight, a complete massacre from the reports we’ve gotten so far. Ares will be by to check on you—we left him a message. Mikhail just got a text back saying he was doing something this morning but would be by as soon as he could manage. Stay inside until he gets here, please. We don’t think anyone knows where we live, but this attack is a little too close to home for comfort.”

She nodded and looked up at Mikhail when he came toward her. She smiled at him and licked her lips. “Do I get kisses before the two of you leave me to go out and make war?” She didn’t want to see them going into war, she was nervous enough as it was. “You will take care, right?”

“Of course you get kisses,” Gareth said before he leaned in. There was nothing chaste about the kiss, either. It was a toe-curling, body-melting kiss that sent little shivers through her. When he let her up for air, he winked. “See you soon, sweets.”

Mikhail watched him walk away. “He always was a showoff,” he said quietly. His attention turned back to her as he wrapped an arm around her waist. “We’ll be fine, Camilla. We’ve done this more than once and we never take anything for granted, not with what we face out there.”

Camilla wrapped herself closer. “Yeah, he is a show-off, but at least you get the last kiss,” she said teasingly, before sobering. “I care for you. A great deal. It would bother me a lot if anything happened to you, so please make sure to come home to me safe and sound?”

“Promise. Be safe, Camilla.” The kiss Mikhail gave her was gentle, soft and generous. Slowly, he parted from her after a quick peck. “Stay inside until Ares gets here, please.”

“I had thought to sit on the porch swing, but if you need me to remain indoors, I will.” It wasn’t what she wanted to do, but she would do it because she wanted Mikhail’s focus to be on the mission, not what ifs about her. “Go. I’ll be fine. I’ll start on dinner for us all.”

He stared at her for a long time, his hand coming up to touch her cheek. “We might be paranoid, but it’s better to be safe than sorry. Ares shouldn’t be more than an hour. That will give you time to prepare whatever you need to. I don’t know if we’ll be back in time for dinner, though. We’ll update you as soon as we can.”

“Oh.” She chewed her lip and then smiled. “Don’t worry about it. I’ll make a lasagna. I can reheat it when you guys are back.” She impulsively gave him another hug. “Come home to me as soon as you can, or at least call me when you can?”

“I will.” He gave her a hug, holding her tight for long moments. Finally, he stepped back. “See you soon, Camilla.” Giving her a small, crooked smile, he picked up a large, long bag, as well as a smaller backpack-style bag. With another look her way, he left the house with the other men.

Gareth, Mikhail, and the others moved toward waiting black SUVs. She closed the door and watched them through the window for as long as she possibly could. Sighing, she shook her head and moved away from the door. She was missing them already, weirdly enough.

The house seemed quiet without them. Or it was, until Ares showed up. Didn’t knock, didn’t call, just popped in and nearly scared her to death. He grinned at her and wiggled his eyebrows. “Heard you were stranded all alone out here. How’s it going, sweeting?”

“Oh God.” Camilla laughed. “Uncle, you scared the bejesus out of me. Come on, let’s have a seat on the couch, and you can tell me just where my men have gone off to.” And they were—Mikhail and Gareth were her men.

Chuckling, Ares led the way into the living room where he flopped into a chair. “They’re off saving the world from things with fangs, Camilla. It’s what they were tasked with. They’re an excellent team, unusual given their backgrounds and the two different arms of the military they served in. But they’re good, really good, as a team. I can’t tell you where they are, not exactly.”

“Well, I’m glad they’re a good team. That means that they’ll make sure they all return home.” She settled into the chair facing her uncle and propped her chin on her hand. “So, want to tell me why you put me into their lives? Don’t say you didn’t, because we both know you could have put me anywhere in the world and protected me, so why did you want me to be here with these men?”

“Why should I tell you anything? You seem to know it all. You tell me why you think I stuck you here when I could have, as you so quaintly put it, put you anywhere in the world.”

“I have no idea why you did it. The only thing I can think is that you wanted to give these boys trouble or something.” She shrugged. “We both know that you do know a great deal more than I do, so?” she asked with a frown. “Come on, talk to me.”

“Come on, Camilla,” he said with a groan. He clicked his tongue at her. “I didn’t put you here to cause those two trouble, though that is an added benefit. I put you here because, as much as you needed to be protected, Mikhail and Gareth need you so much more. They’re out there, putting their lives at risk every single time they have to go up against the weres and the vampires. They have no one to worry about them, think of them, care for them, and wait at home for them. That isn’t a life, that’s service. They’ve given their country more than the average person will ever understand. By taking on this assignment with me, they’re giving more than anyone could ever comprehend. Gareth and Mikhail need to have someone to hold them in the dark, when life becomes too much, and they just need the simplest of touches from someone who loves them.

Camilla smiled and sat up, her elbows on her knees. “You are a romantic at heart,” she whispered in shock. She reached out and touched her uncle’s knee. “I love you, too, Ares. I’m beyond happy that you put me here, because if anyone could ever love them, it’s me. If there is anyone that could ever remind them why they fight, it’s me.”

He glowered at her before rolling his eyes. “Now she gets it. Just be there for them, Camilla. Don’t push, don’t poke, don’t coddle. Be there when they need you, but let them always come to you. They’re trained to compartmentalize things. Pushing will get you nowhere with them. Be yourself, but try not to go too overboard, right?”

“I will try, but we both know me, Uncle, and sometimes I will go overboard.” She winked. “I won’t push. I won’t prod. I love it when they come to me. Silly, I know, but I love knowing that they might need me even a fraction as much as I need them.”

“Sweeting, they need you so much more than you will ever need them. They just haven’t realized it yet. They will soon, hopefully before it’s too late. No, don’t ask, I can’t tell you what I can’t yet see. I just know that there is a darkness coming that all of you will need to be ready for, and you will need to be united to face it down. It could be tomorrow or years from now, but it’s coming, and nothing will stop it.”

Even though his words sent shivers up and down her spine, Camilla replied in a confident voice. “I’ll just be my normal charming self and they’ll realize just how much they need me in their lives. And not a single word from the peanut gallery.” She laughed. “Now, how about we fix us some lunch?”

He checked his watch and nodded. “Might as well. They won’t be on scene for another twenty minutes. That gives us time to get a snack, pop over there, and set up a watch post near Mikhail while the others go in and snoop around. If you want to, that is.”

Camilla laughed. “We’ll be able to go and have a look at them?” Oh, she very much looked forward to that. “Good. To be able to watch them do what they do makes me all kinds of happy.” She wanted to watch them train, but this opportunity to see them in the field, so to speak, was just too good to pass up.
