A Case for Christmas (The Lords of Bucknall Club Book 2)
Page 26
“Viscount Soulden!” Mr. Verreau exclaimed. “What a delight, my lord!”
Loftus gasped. A viscount!
From the other side of the shop floor, Morgan Notley turned his head to stare at Viscount Soulden like an owl that had just spotted a mouse.
“Good day, Monsieur Verreau,” Soulden said. “I apologise for just bursting in like this, but I find myself in sudden need of a new coat.”
“But of course!” M. Verreau said, fluttering around the viscount like a butterfly. “It would be my pleasure, my lord!”
It would be anyone’s pleasure, Loftus thought breathlessly, to run their hands over Viscount Soulden in a state of half undress. Almost unconsciously, he took a step towards the viscount.
And his mother, perhaps seeing the way his thoughts were leading him, caught him firmly by the arm and tugged him outside into the street, and the door swung shut behind them.
Leaving—Loftus gasped in outrage at the awful realisation—Viscount Soulden with Morgan Notley.

About Lisa Henry
Lisa likes to tell stories, mostly with hot guys and happily ever afters.
Lisa lives in tropical North Queensland, Australia. She doesn’t know why, because she hates the heat, but she suspects she’s too lazy to move. She spends half her time slaving away as a government minion, and the other half plotting her escape.
She attended university at sixteen, not because she was a child prodigy or anything, but because of a mix-up between international school systems early in life. She studied History and English, neither of them very thoroughly.
Lisa has been published since 2012, and was a LAMBDA finalist for her quirky, awkward coming-of-age romance Adulting 101, and a Rainbow Awards finalist for 2019’s Anhaga.
You can join Lisa’s Facebook reader group at Lisa Henry’s Hangout, and find her website at lisahenryonline.com.
