Sam: That’s a shame. I was hoping to cum over and see if you needed help with your research.

  Oh my God.

Me: You’re starting to sound like your secretary.

There’s no denying my little bit of jealousy that they may have shacked up.

Sam: No. It’s what I can’t stop thinking I want to do to you. What do you have on right now?

Ugh, I’ll take a ‘Make me cum’ for 1,000, please.

Me: That’s inappropriate. We are work associates now. It’s even more important to keep this professional.

Sam: Then you’re fired. What are you wearing?

  Me: A baggy jumpsuit.

Sam: I have no doubt that you look amazing in whatever it is you just named off. Would you like some company?

  Yes

  Me: No, I’m really tired.

Sam: What makes you think I would do anything to keep you up? You dirty bird.

Um, because if he came over here I would insist he keep me up. Picturing him flipping my body all over the place, his tongue, his hands, his glorious package. I’m actually sitting here debating telling him to come over. Saying I’m horny is putting it lightly, and there is nothing more I would like than to have Sam scratch that itch. Another ding interrupts my horny thoughts.

Sam: Are you debating my offer?

  Creepy mind reader

Me: No. I’m debating how to tell you that it would not work well if we mixed business with pleasure.

Sam: Then, I told you, you’re fired.

I know he’s joking. I wait for his return text, but it doesn’t come. I start to worry he may be actually firing me. I mean let’s be honest, I’m totally playing hard to get, but I’ll shack it up any day while counting numbers on his payroll. What I will not do though is act too eager. I give it another five minutes more and still no text. Is he testing me? Are his creepy, mind reading skills telling him he’s got me?

Sam: I look forward to seeing you in your frumpy jumpsuit. Sweet dreams, Penny.

Sweet dreams? Sweet dreams? No one here will be having sweet dreams. More like erotic wet dreams.

I BARREL OUT OF the elevator and through the glass entrance doors to Dresden Architects. I’m still trying to catch my breath from the last three blocks because I missed my normal train. I get that those subway doors are automatic, but for that stupid bitch not to move to allow me to jump in is just anarchy.

I make it through the doors to be greeted by Sam’s snarky looking secretary.

“You’re late.” She sneers my way.

“Oh yeah, I’m sorry. There’s a mob outside the building. Some sort of celebrity was spotted and they all flocked. He took cover inside the building and now they have closed it off to the public.”

Of course her ears perk up. “Who was it? Did you see who it was?”

“Oh you know they had him hiding pretty well. I saw them sneak him into the coffee shop, in the lobby. I don’t think anyone saw.”

“Well?” She bites out, “Who was it?”

“I didn’t recognize the name. Something Helmsmith? Hellsworth, I think?”

“Hemsworth? As in Liam or Chris?”

  “Yeah sorry I don’t know.”

“How do you not know who they are? Ugh.” She gets up from her chair, flips her hair back and snatches up her purse.

“Mr. Dresden has been out three times to see if you’ve arrived. If he needs me, I’m going to get coffee.” She pushes from her desk and bolts to the elevator.

I’ll tell you, I know the saying God created us all equal, but she was doused with a little too much cunt for my liking. But that’s not what truly has my panties in a bunch. It’s her comment about Sam being out there three times to see if I had arrived. He thinks I’m not coming.

I walk toward his office and hear him on the phone. Knocking gently, not wanting to interrupt his call, he barks at his guest to come in. I assume he thinks I’m his secretary because the minute he realizes it’s me, his mood changes and if I could pinpoint the look I get, it’s of relief, then joy.

Putting his index finger up, he indicates he’s almost done. “Robert, I have to go. Do whatever it takes to get the shipment in on time. I don’t care. I have something urgent to attend to and it can’t wait any longer. Just call with the numbers… Good bye.”

He hangs up the phone. And stands.

  “You came.”

  “Not necessarily.”

His eyes light up with something devilish.

Maybe my joke was not the best thing to lead our day off with.

I feel like I have a finger on it, but I’m not quite there yet. The last couple of days I have been doing some heavy research on go-green steel mills. Now, it’s obvious steel can’t technically be one hundred percent organic. It’s steel, duh. But the product manufacturers use to run their equipment and the raw materials that go into steel, can be. That’s the problem with all those Fortune 500 companies. They chose to cut corners. They want the lowest price. The highest profit. It’s not about the people or the environment. It’s about being the best. At all cost. And with that comes a lot of environmental hazards. That’s just the tip of what I’ve learned since working with Sam. Studies show that steel can uphold a building, no problem. That’s why it has its name. Steel. Powerful. But what people don’t know is when that steel building is taken down, collapses or has any sort of reconstruction, the chemicals within the steel let off a synthesized gas. That chemical is not good for us. That chemical is one of the easiest fixes to replace when making steel. But it’s also very costly. And who cares about cost more than those money hungry companies? Manufacturers wouldn’t mind spending more money on reducing the risk of lung cancer by shoveling out few more dollars from their billions, right? Wrong. They turn their backs to it. That’s when I started researching synthesized free steel. And to my amazement, there are manufacturers that were willing to produce steel without using the killer chemical. The other thing I learned was that there were companies, exactly what Sam was interested in, whom were forced to close their doors due to the overtake of those larger companies. As in, able to re-open if they had a company to actually fund them. Boom!

I jump off my seat and do a little happy dance. I turn to a curious Sam who is on a call. Not caring because I am way too excited, I pick up my laptop and, while maneuvering a pretty sweet running man the entire way to his desk, place my computer on top of his ledgers, blocking his conference call agenda. He looks at me strangely, so I point to the article I have up.

“I’m not sure William, I looked at the numbers and I am just not convinced they are the right company to hold on to.” He talks into his receiver, looking at me strangely. I nudge my eyebrows silently insisting that he read the article.

“—and I understand that William, it’s just… It’s just that… I’m sorry, I have to call you back.” I hear the gentleman ask why as Sam is hanging up the phone.

  “What is this?”

“Your golden ticket,” I smile as he leans in, continuing to read the article. Too impatient to wait until he’s done, I help him out and babble out the basics.

“So, turns out, there is this plant. About two hours outside of New York. They used to be a supplier for steel companies. Until they were showing clear signs of chemical poisoning. A huge percentage of the town was getting sick. Large numbers of lung cancer. They tried to bring it to the city board, State, the government even, letting them know something needed to change in the plant. But instead of helping them, they shut them down. Practically shutting down the whole town! The plant employed eighty percent of the town. Without trying to find a solution or even help anyone who was sick, they just buried the issue. Kept it out of the papers as much as they could. But that’s not really your golden ticket, this is.” I click on the other article I have up. Titled, “Small Town Finds Earthly Solution to Chemical Disaster”.

“If you read into this article, the town is pretty amazing. Dying off, they still come up with a way to keep the plant open, bu
t use organic dyes and scraps that aren’t hazardous. Practically finding a solution to pollution! Sadly they were turned down, because no one wanted to go near them after the bad press from the closure. And let me tell you, from all the articles I’ve read, they did not keep quiet. But this means you can step in! If you’re willing to spend the twenty-seven percent increase in investment funds just to make sure it’s all go-green, then this is it. To be honest, since I was just doing the numbers, if you invested in getting this plant back up and running, what it would take to swap out any of the equipment and raw materials and start fresh, you may end up saving a whole seven percent on investments, and paying less than you would if you went with Evergreen, or crap, if you even went with a no name manufacturer!”

Phew! I have to catch my breath after that one.

It’s too bad Sam hasn’t moved a muscle since I started babbling. Is he still on the first paragraph? Maybe he’s a slow reader. I stand there tapping my foot like a damn jack rabbit, waiting for him to respond. I mean, I thought this was the greatest discovery since the birth of peanut butter and jelly. Finally, he raises his hands, slowly placing both palms on his desk. Lifting himself from his manly executive chair he dips his head closing his eyes. Deep breathing. Uh oh.

“Was this not what you were thinking? I mean, I could keep researching.” Oh great, I’ve wasted the entire day and now he is pissed.

“Seriously, I’m really sorry I didn’t mean to waste anyone’s time. I’m sure I can find something—”

I’m cut off when he lifts his head and his eyes latch onto mine. That look. Those eyes. Oh lordy lord. I suck in a small breath at the way he’s looking at me. As if I’m in trouble. But in a good way. He stands fully and takes the two steps that were separating us. He brings his hands up to my now, probably, flushed cheeks and softly squeezes.

“How long have you worked at West and Mills?” Huh? Strange question to ask at a time like this.

  “Um, almost four years?”

“Do you have any strong attachment to that company?”

Oh crap, he’s totally not happy with my findings. He’s going to have me fired. “I would really like to not get fired if that what’s you’re getting at. I’m sorry I didn’t mean to overstep any boundaries—”

He shuts me up by kissing me. Pulling away quickly, he goes on, “How long would it take to clean out your desk over there?”

Oh fuck me. He’s totally getting me fired! I’m going to be homeless. Chelsea and I are going to have to live on the streets and—

Another rush of his lips on mine. Even in the midst of panic, I still seem to moan. God, I love those lips. Pulling away, this time, he’s sporting a smile so wide, it seriously confuses me. “I don’t—”

“Penelope, I would like to make you an offer. And if you say no to me, I will just find a way to get what I want. So make sure to choose your answer wisely.”

Mouth slightly parted, brain completely not grasping, I want to speak, but you know me, nothing is coming out. Thankfully Sam takes my head and nods it for me. “Good. I’m glad you are so willingly comply. Now…”

“But you didn’t tell me the offer? How do I know if I really want to take it or not?” The look in his eyes tells me I’m going to want to take it, but his eyes are darkening and I know what that means. I know what he is going to offer me.

My knees do a little wobbling act.

“It seems that I am just not going to be able to let you go back to West and Mills after this one project. I knew this was going to be a problem the moment you walked into my office with that cute little skirt on, those sexy pink panties and you chewing on your lower lip. But the moment you showed me inside this?” He lifts his finger to gently tap on my head. “It just sealed the deal for me. Now, I am not really one for bondage and chains, but I am going to admit that from this point forward, I am not letting you go.”

  Ummm, what?

“You see, my sweet Penny”—he begins caressing my cheek with his magic thumb—“you are something I am not sure how to describe. Like a wrecking ball just crashing through every wall, every boundary of my life.”

Not gonna lie. That doesn’t sound like a good thing.

“—and ever since you came into my life, I have never, ever felt so alive. You have a brilliant mind. You are smart, funny, and an asset to any company you will ever work for, which from this point forward will be only mine, because if there is one thing you may not have caught on to about me, is that I am a very selfish man. And I can no longer see myself sharing you with anyone.”

He steps forward, our bodies now pressing together. He dips his head, his minty breath against my face. “You are a fucking gift. And you are going to be all mine. And when you’re not using that sexy mouth to blow my mind, you are going to be submitting it to me. Because I am going to take so much from you.” He wraps one strong arm around my waist, taking his hand and gently squeezing my butt. It’s when he presses into me that I get it. He’s serious.

“Now, I can tell you’re interested in my offer because your nipples are hard through this soft silk shirt you’ve been taunting me with. And from the way your perfect skin tingles in my arms, I would say that I think we may have a deal.”

I’m not even sure a deal is what we have. He can have my left leg if he wants. His confession just ran through me, starting with my brain, which is still processing, down passed my overbeating heart, and straight to my tingling toes. No one has ever said such kind, gentle, sexy things to me as that. Shit, anything compared to what he just said to me. No one. Not even Henry had complimented me in such a raw way. Okay, so fine, my mother has told me I’m a beauty for anyone’s eyes, but to just make sure to always stand on my left side while speaking. Oh and well Patti tells me I’m hot all the time.

  It’s settled.

  He wins.

And in regards to his hot BDSM comment about bondage and chains? I fucking submit.

I nod letting him know he’s won me over. A few more choice words coming out of that hot edible mouth and I am like a cat in heat. I let him push me against the window, causing my skirt to ride up my thighs. If anyone were looking up, they would get a good look at my butt cheeks.

Sam’s hands are hungry. He’s all over the place. Grabbing at my thighs, my ass, my hips—all while thrusting his tongue in and out of my willing mouth. Even his saliva is a freaking hormonal sensor. I’m not all that innocent myself, since I can’t even remember how I already got his pants unbuttoned and I’m now stroking his very hard erection. He is smooth and so large in my hand, I struggle to fully wrap around him. Just thinking about where this manly thing is heading is getting me very wet between my legs. Sam’s moan into my mouth is entrancing and I pick up the pace. I swivel my thumb over his tip and I’m rewarded with his pre-come. I’m well on my way to driving this man insane. Just as I mentally pat myself on the back for taking control, I hear the sudden rip of cloth. Dammit. He just completely one-upped me. The feel of the thin strip of my thong being ripped off my body by this starving man is just indescribable. Well maybe it isn’t. It’s fucking awesome.

“I’m going to fuck you hard against this window, Pen, then I’m going to fuck you slow. But right now, I must fuck you hard.”

It’s like asking a child if they want candy, or if they want to stay up past bedtime. No brainer. The ultimate answer is always going to be yes.

“Jesus, Penny, answer me. I am not sure I can hold off much longer with what you’re doing to me.”

“Then fuck me already, Sam,” I breathe, desperate for him to do exactly what his eyes, those hands, and his thick cock are silently telling me they want. And that is to fuck me with an intensity that we’ve both been dying for. Pushing my hand off his erection, he reaches into his back pocket. He produces a condom and tears the wrapper open with his teeth. With a shove of his pants, he’s adjusting himself in-between my legs and beginning to work his cock into my wet and needy sex. Once completely inside, he traps me in his fiery gaze. “You are so b
eautiful like this.” His voice comes out strained, brushing a piece of hair off my face that’s gone astray.

  “Like what?” I breathe heavily.

“So wet for me. Your face, it’s flushed. You’re so turned on and aroused. It makes me crazy with the need to fuck you until my knees go weak, then take you to the floor and slowly ravish you, the way you should always be treated.”

I don’t think there are words to top what he just confessed. He’s got me hook, line and sinker. The only reason I manage to pull out of the lust trance he just put me in, is because he starts to move. And it feels fan-fucking-tastic.

He works me like a violin. The perfect rhythm, in and out. The feeling of my chest pressed against his. Sensing the speed of my breathing and knowing when I’m close, he begins to pick up the pace and I match him pump for push. The cold glass on my ass intensifies the vibrations I’m feeling in my core. My head grows heavy and it falls backward into the window as my lips part in a not so natural moan. My hands, on their own accord, snake into his thick hair and I grab on for dear life. Knowing we are both so close, he releases one hand from my butt cheek and brings it forward to tease my nub, all while pumping in and out, in and out. Just as I’m about to come, he pulls a fast one and pinches my clit, sending me overboard right into the craziest orgasm I’ve ever experienced. The pressure shooting up my spine is like nothing I have ever felt. One hard thrust and I sense Sam break and release inside me.

I must black out for a few seconds, because when I come to, I am sitting limply on Sam’s lap, on the floor. “Shit, how did we get down here?” I huff, causing Sam to chuckle into my neck.

“Are you okay?” he whispers into my ear.

“I’m not sure? Am I alive?” His infectious laugh vibrates into my soul. I lay my head on his shoulder, trying to get ahold of my breathing and brain function.

“I think I’m going to have to change my offer and fire you.”

  “Why?” I look up concerned.

“Because after that, I realize there is no way we will get anything done being in the same room, and I won’t be able to stop myself from doing this every time that door shuts behind you.”
